My Mother

Mother, mother, most beloved mother!
Oh, my heart's dearest mother!
Will there ever be another
One to replace you in one way or the other?

To dwell on you, even a little,
Makes my heart so very brittle;
Emotions gush and flood the mind,
The sluice of eyes, let the waters behind.

Such a splendid mother!
Such a wonderful mother!
A mother so lovely, neat,
A mother so honey sweet,

Is but hard to find,
As she is of a rare kind.
She'd shower love and affection,
But was a strict disciplinarian!

My darling mother was begotten
After a long penance, certain
Of my grand-parents'devotion,
And Lord Eshwara's benediction.

She was christened after Goddess Parvathi,
But being the apple of the eye,
She was aptly named 'Kannammal'
And was called 'Kannu'by all.

Though not complete in schooling,
She tread through life ever learning;
She'd nicely cook, read a book and sew;
And she was adept at many chores too!

At nineteen—a maiden, charming and coy,
She entered my father's house with joy;
But lo! There at the city of Secunderabad,
Her experience with her in-laws was sad!

Then one after one, like an acorn,
The four of us were born;
Three sweet girls and a bonny boy-
Her dancing dolls of endless joy.

My mother bubbled with happiness,
And was a milk of kindness;
She was service personified,
And a spirit of duty deified.

She taught us serene cleanliness,
And said it was next to Godliness;
Education to our raw minds, she did fetch,
And culture to carve in us, she did etch.

She cared for us proudly swell,
And she reared us extremely well;
She egged us on to truth and obedience,
And urged us to tread the path of perseverance.

Mother was a devout devotee,
Of Lord Shiva and his consort Parvathi;
She performed sacred poojas daily,
And would not eat before did her deity.

With father constantly shored
At the office of the Cantonment Board,
She was the captain to surely steer,
The ship of home to waters clear.

She proved to be an affectionate sister above
Her dear brothers and sisters in love;
To each one of them she was wonderful,
For she arranged their marriages, heartful! .

She was a true friend, in need
To ‘Mami'of Marredpalli indeed,
Both of them were ever so close
For one without the other was so morose.

One by one, with blissful marriage intent,
We were off to our homes in places distant;
Yet our lovely bondage was ever intact,
For the love was abiding in its impact.

Close on heels—one after another,
Grand children were born to mother;
It was her lot ne'er to herself bother,
For at thirty-eight she was a proud grandmother!

‘Aachi! ' ‘Aachi! 'With affection they'd call,
And she to them was their first pal;
To each one of the ten of them,
She was sure a pure love gem.

Happy days bounced there for mother,
At sister's house in ‘Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar';
With a fond family around her, so dear,
Interspersed with visits of people from far and near.
Lo! A dark cloud of head-ache, true,
Then descended on her sky of blue;
With throbbing pain, she suffered much,
Many a doctor offering little relief, as such.

Alas! It was not to be a passing cloud,
For the mantle of death did her shroud
In the small hours of a day-too soon—
In 1976-to be exact-on the fifteenth of June.

Though stepping into the youth of age,
Providence tore from His Book, her life's page;
All that was love and kind; good and glory,
Was pitted to dust and transformed to a story!

Mummy! Oh Mummy! Dear, my dear!
Your corporal frame has flown from here,
Your soul to rise to the Great Spirit above,
In harmony to mingle with Divine Love.

We, your darling children below,
Your foot-steps, we ardently strive to follow,
And pray to the Great Power Merciful
To rest your good soul in peace bountiful.

Like No Other...Mother

Mother...

Mother, who gave us her heart...her very soul.
Mother, who's understanding never wavered.
Mother, the one who dried our tears.
Mother, she lead us to the path of His Love.
Mother, who washed our cloths and cleaned the house.
Mother, who instilled confidence in her children.
Mother, who walked us to school.
Mother, who loved us like no other.
Mother, who quelled the anger within us.
Mother, who drove us to all our practices.
Mother, who never forgot our special occasions.
Mother, who protected her family, as a lion to a cub.
Mother, who always supported our father.
Mother, who scrimped and saved for our daily needs.
Mother, who was always the last to eat.
Mother, who was always the first to rise.
Mother, who cared for the animals.
Mother, a love that knew no limits.
Mother, who forever placed her family, before herself.
Mother, who was grateful, for every passing acknowledgement.
Mother, whose eyes shined, when she heard the words,
I love you mom.
Mother, who always saw the good in us.
Mother, who always taught us to never, never, give up.
Mother, who instilled in us, to be better.
Mother, who made us believe, we could accomplish anything.
Mother, mother...mother, you were like no other.

Mother, you will always remain, in our
hearts, in our deeds, in our thoughts,
in our lives and in our prayers.

Surely, beyond the stars, there's a special place for Mothers.

My Real Goddess

Today my mother
Came to my house
With lots of blessing
And full of good wishing
To live long
Happy and healthy
Progressive and wealthy
My mother
My sweet mother
My beautiful mother
My loving mother
My real goddess
My ever goodness
My first lady I loved
My life my mother
My soul my mother
My God-gift my mother
My pride my mother
My aim my mother
My teacher my mother
My friend my mother
My preacher my mother
My daughter's face look-like my mother
My daughter my little mother
O the Absolute Almighty
Give me my mother
Again and again
And again and again
My mother
Only my mother.

Mother In Law

(a. toussaint)
Mother in law, mother in law
Mother in law, mother in law
The worst person I know
Mother in law, mother in law
She worries me so
Mother in law, mother in law
If she leaves us alone
We could have a happy home
Sent from down below
Mother in law, mother in law
Mother in law, mother in law
Satan should be her name
Mother in law, mother in law
To me theyre about the same
Mother in law, mother in law
Everytime I open my mouth
Steps in trying to put me out
How could you stood so low
Mother in law, mother in law
Mother in law, mother in law
Come home with my pay
Mother in law, mother in law
She asks me what I made
Mother in law, mother in law
She thinks her advice is a contribution
If she would leave that would be the solution
Dont come back no more
Mother in law, mother in law
Mother in law, mother in law....

Mother India

O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.
You are the paradise on earth
Where things are not in any dearth.

O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.

In Your Lap live men and women
Of every caste and religion.
You rain your love and affection
On them all without distinction.

O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.

You have got a peculiar trait
Due to which you are very great.
You adopt the foreigners too,
Who like to live and die for you.

O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.

You are beautiful, all perfect;
You are rich in every aspect.
In the ancient times, we have heard,
Aliens called you ‘a golden bird’

O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.

The mountains guard your honour here;
The ocean washes your feet there.
The rivers contain sweet water
Which for us is just like nectar.

O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.

Our culture is ancient and high,
We are respected that is why.
Culture has bound us by and by,
With a chain of pure love and tie.

O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.

We are sorry here live some men
Who are not loyal, but still then,
Pose as lovers of this nation,
Whom we do not like to mention.

O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.

We are sorry here live some men;
Fire of hatred they ever fan.
Freedom, we fear, may not be lost,
Which we have got at a great cost.

O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.

Let us be wise not to be tool
Of selfish powers which befool
Those who do not well understand
Their aim which is behind their stand.

O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.

We will be lucky, if we die
For you, O Gracious Country High!
We’ll give them a fitting reply,
Who see you with a slanting eye.

O Mother Land! O Mother Land!
You are very dear and rare land.

What a mother should be

A mother is the one who loves you
A mother puts no drug above you
A mother will never make you cry
A mother will never make you want to die
A mother will help you fight your fears
A mother will help you stop your tears
A mother will keep you safe and sound
A mother will never let you down
A mother will daily say I love you
A mother won’t say I hate you
A mother won’t wish you were dead
A mother won’t forget what you said
A mother won’t close the door
A mother won’t let you be poor
Now I ask you, do you have a mother?
Cause’ I don’t, so don’t bother.

A True Mother's Love

A mother's love is consistent
and patient, it will never fade.
A mother's love is warm and
compassionate, even in the
shade. A mother's love will
always help you through the
weakest hours. A mother's love
is always like a bouquet of
flowers. A mother's love is
strong and will never steer
you wrong. A true mother's
love is beautiful in many ways.
A true mother's love is sincere
and it takes a mother's love to
conquer our fears. A true mother's
love knows the depth of love. A
true mother's love is contentment,
just like God's love. My mother's
love is absolutely all of the above.

Mothers’ Day ‘08

North or south; east or west;
A mother’s love is always best!
Throughout its childhood, cleaned and dressed,
A mother gives baby, good rest.

A mother is the love-pillar;
A father is the source of strength;
A child is like caterpillar,
Metamorphosing in its length!

A mother keeps the home happy;
A mother cleans the babe’s nappy;
A mother tends to dear daddy;
A mom-less home cannot be sweet!

The angel in the house is mom!
The toiler of the home is mom;
The cleaner in the house is mom;
She knows all problems but keeps mum!

The chief-cook in the house is mom;
The teacher in the house is mom;
The care-taker is also mom;
She knowingly is sometimes dumb!

A spoilt-kid’s mom had spared the rod;
As children’s friend, mother looks odd;
For most things, mothers give the nod;
A mother is a demi-god!

Goodbye Mother Dear

Mother, mother, mother dear,
Can you hold me close, can you hold me near?
Mother, mother, oh mother dear,
Will you listen, listen to my words of fear?

Mother, I am inside your womb.
Mother, you hold the key.
Mother, is it too late, too soon?
Mother, what do you see?

I hear your heart beat, beat, beat,
It comforts me when I am asleep.
I feel your warmth, I feel your heat,
But mother dear, I feel you weep.

Mother, I am so full of fear.
Mother, I see it in your tear.
Mother, I know you cry and why.
Mother, I know we must say goodbye.

(if only you could let me grow
my love to you then i could show
but that i know cannot be so
the time has come for me to go)

Mother, mother, mother dear,
Do not feel guilt, do not feel fear.
Mother, mother, oh mother dear,
For a while, you held me near.

I still need a mother

I need a mother who would love me
I need a mother who would take care of me
I need a mother who would understand me
I need a mother for who I am
I need a mother to know me
I need a mother who would be there for me
I need a mother who would not yell at her son
I need a mother who won't push her son away
I need a mother who would not throw me out of her life

Even though I still need a mother
Everyday I try to be nice
Sometime she don't care about me
What I need is a mother who would be there for me
I need a mother who would watch me grow
I need a mother who would celebrate my birthday
I need a mother who would miss me

I need a mother to cry on
I need a mother to know that her son loves her

But she won't let me know her
What I need is a mother

Who is no more now.

Knowledge is Mother Of Life Divine!

Only of evils in own,
seeing the path of Goodness and Godliness,
Knowledge is not mother of fear,
But knowledge is mother of Care,
Against one's own fall or care about fall of others!

Knowledge is not mother of fear,
Knowledge is the spear,
Knowledge is spear that kills the fear,
And takes to fearless sphere!

`FEAR Is Mother Of
KNOWLEDGE.
Aye or Nay, you decide!

How can one born to fear can dare,
how can one see is own nature,
fear, if governs his mind and thought,
How one fear more,
Can open windows and door?

Fear is not the mother of love,
A child's love to its mother or father,
Is just Love And Respect,
Not fear the mother of all these,
Fear only maketh one run away from Father,
Love And affection take near to Him!

Knowledge is mother of Courage,
Love, faith, belief and aspiration of oneness!

Fear is mother of Cowardice, doubts, hate,
Fear is mother of all slips and fall,
Fear is the mother of ill fate!

Only Love, The love of truth, and love with True knowledge is the mother of Life Divine!

Aye or Nay you Decide!

To My Mom

Because I feel that, in the Heavens above,
The angels, whispering to one another,
Can find, among their burning terms of love,
None so devotional as that of 'Mother, '
Therefore by that dear name I long have called you-
You who are more than mother unto me,
And fill my heart of hearts, where Death installed you
In setting my Virginia's spirit free.
My mother- my own mother, who died early,
Was but the mother of myself; but you
Are mother to the one I loved so dearly,
And thus are dearer than the mother I knew
By that infinity with which my wife
Was dearer to my soul than its soul-life.
