Evening
Evening shadows make me swoon
Just as much as that big bright moon
Soft rays at the end of the day
Sometimes you don’t know what to say
At times like this you’re at peace with the world
All that’s missing is..a nice car the open road.. and a girl

Over The Hills And Far Away
Hey lady--you got the love I need
Maybe more than enough.
Oh Darling... walk a while with me
Ooh, you've got so much...
Many times I loved, Many times been bitten
Many times I've gazed, Along the open road.
Many times I've lied, Many times I've listened
Many times I've wondered, How much there is to know.
Many dreams come true, And some have silver linings
I live for my dream, And a pocketful of gold.
Mellow is the man, Who knows what he's been missing
Many many men, Can't see the open road.
Many is a word, That only leaves you guessing
Guessing 'bout a thing, You really ought to know, ooh!
You really ought to know, I really ought to know!
oooh, You know I should, you know I should, you know I should.

A Girl Like Me
A girl like me will make your world better
A girl like me will make you happy
A girl like me will make you smile everyday.
A girl like me will surround only you in my world
A girl like me will make you laugh nonstop
A girl like me will make time for you.
A girl like me will sit and listen to your words
A girl like me will not play games with you or your heart
A girl like me will always be true to you.
A girl like me will talk to you all night
A girl like me will be the one you can count on to be there for you
A girl like me will always be down for you no matter what.
A girl like me will be the one you can put your trust in
A girl like me will make you my whole world
A girl like me will give you everything I possibly can.
A girl like me needs a king
A girl like me could be your queen
A girl like me could be your everything.
A girl like me will let you have fun
A girl like me will lay with you and just smile
A girl like me will be the one you can just hang out with.
A girl like me will be the one to hold you at night
A girl like me will be the one you can fall asleep with
A girl like me will make you see what's on the brighter side.
A girl like me will keep you outta trouble
A girl like me will be there when no one else will
A girl like me will be the one you can open up to.
A girl like me could be your world that you have been looking for
A girl like me could be right in front of you
A girl like me could be the one you need to survive this life.
A girl like me is me
There is no other girl like me
Take me to be yours and get all of the above.

Peace Tonight
Honey pick the red corner shoes
The ones that hardly ever get used
I knelt in front of my whole collection
And Im picking you a special selection
On a no news is good news middle of mid-year day
I feel no ill with time to kill I wanna play
Lets make peace tonight
(lets make peace tonight)
The moon is bare and shining bright
(moon is shining bright)
Lets make peace tonight in a good time
(lets make peace tonight)
Im callin on my good friends today
You know the drives about an hour away
And well be pitching up a tent by the trees
And well be wading in the river to our knees
Oh now loves been planted and were checking out the yield
Its two black dogs and a white one their running in the field
Lets make peace tonight
(lets make peace tonight)
The moon is bare and shining bright
(moon is shining bright)
Well lets make peace tonight in a good time
(lets make peace tonight)
Oh
Oh
Oh
Well we used to have some money but we spent it
(used to have some money but we spent it)
Yeah so when we want to have it then we rent it
(when we want to have it we rent it)
But were cuttin up the rug and I know you love me love me
(were cuttin up the rug and I know you love me)
And the best of everything here is free
(everything here is free)
Oh when things get messy then we tidy up the room
Well be no stranger to that dustpan and the broom
Lets make peace tonight
(lets make peace tonight)
The moon is bare and shining bright
(moon is shining bright)
Lets make peace tonight
(lets make peace tonight)
The moon is bare and shining bright
(moon is shining bright)
Lets make peace tonight in a good time
(lets make peace tonight)

Shadows
Shadows,
created by a light touch
from the warm rays of the sun,
to the soft coolness of the moon.
At sunrise
Shadows of everything arise,
Some frightful, some beautiful.
Shadows
At Night
reveal the fears in our subconsious
seeing monsters from our childhood
But,
Once you get over your fears
you'll see
that the shadows are the most beautiful.

Steady As We Go
I walk half way around the world
Just to sit down by your side
And I would do most anything girl
To be the apple of your eye
But troubles they may come and go
But good times never grow old
Or if the road gets rocky girl
Just steady as we go
Anyplace you want to go
You know Ill be next to you
If its treasure baby youre looking for
Ill search the whole world through
You know troubles they may come and go
But good times never grow old
So if the road gets rocky girl
Just steady as we go
When the storm comes you shelter me
When I dont say a word
And you know exactly what I mean
In the darkest times shine on me
Set me free
And keep me steady as we go
So if your heart rings dry my love
I will fill your cup
And if your load gets heavy girl
I will lift you up
But troubles they may come and go
But good times be the gold
So if the road gets rocky girl
Just steady as we go

Girl On The Moon
Its night, again
Time for my mind to go wandering
Off on a journey, through space and time
In search of a face I can never find
So I close my eyes and look inside
I cant forget
The night that I saw her we never met
She felt so close to me as I reached for her hand
She drifted away like the desert sand
It was her and she was gone
I wish shed come back tonight
Like a star shining bright
I dont know where shes from
Shes like a girl on the moon
A girl on the moon
Shes like a girl on the moon
A girl on the moon
Yeah its night, once again
And that same old feeling is setting in
It all seems so familiar but I hope this time
That the girl on the moon will soon be mine
All mine, tonight
Am I asking too much
Should I leave my dream untouched
Should I even know where shes from
My, girl on the moon
Shes my girl on the moon
Girl on the moon
My girl on the moon
Girl on the moon
My girl on the moon
Girl on the moon
Girl on the moon
Girl on the moon
Fille sur la lune
Girl on the moon
Fille sur la lune

Don't Little Girl
Don’t fall little girl
Don’t let them see you cry
Stand tall little girl
Keep your head held high
~
Don’t express little girl
Don’t let them see the pain in your eyes
Walk on little girl
Walk through all those pitiful lies
~
Don’t forget little girl
Don’t let them do it to you once more
Protect yourself little girl
There’s plenty more in store
~
Don’t hate little girl
That’s what they want you to do
Smile bright little girl
Try you’re hardest to be true
~
Don’t wait little girl
The world will move on without you
Move on little girl
Do what you need to do
~
Don’t look back little girl
You cant change your past
Open your eyes little girl
Enjoy the world while it lasts
~
Live life little girl
Cause you only got one
Laugh loudly little girl
And put down you damn gun
~
You’re me little girl
Haven’t we learned a lot?
But your also them little girl
In each of us you have fought
~
Some call you hope, little girl
You glow dim then turn bright
Some call you dreams, little girl
Thinking of you every night
~
But to me, little girl
You will always just be me
Guide us, little girl
Cause we both just want to be free

Last Open Road
How fast can I run?
How far can I go?
These are the questions,
The young want to know
I met her in Brooklyn,
She was coming from a place
I said "where are you going to"?
She said "where have you been"?
'Cos I'm trapped in here,
Set me free
I know your world let me see
Take me down that last open road
Take me down that last open road
Take me down that last open road
I know there is so much past
this place
I see it smile on your jagged,
ragged face
Something tells me,
something strong
There's a world I've heard of,
So before it's gone
Take me down that last open road
Take me down that last open road

Bright Lights
The bright lights are calling me
The bright lights are calling me
When the world is dark and cold
And Im heading down the road
The bright lights are calling me
As the world is round, the road is long
Ive trouble on my mind
Ill just keep on moving
Until the day comes round
The wind a blowing on my back
And my feet a flying
Flying down the road
Where the bright lights shine
Mondays in a pigtown
Tuesdays in a truck
Wednesdays a field of mud
And thursdays out of luck
Fridays rain clouds
Saturday flies by
Sunday comes shining
From a blue blue sky
The bright lights are calling me
The bright lights are calling me
When the world is dark and cold
And Im heading down the road
The bright lights are calling me
Some towns are golden
Some towns are stained
Some towns are shadows
Fading in the rain
Some towns are rust
And some towns they gleam
Some towns are mad dogs
Some towns are a dream
The bright lights are calling me
The bright lights are calling me
When the world is dark and cold
And Im heading down the road
The bright lights are calling me
Some dreams are hollow
Some dreams are cold
Some dreams are crazy
And some dreams are bold
Some dreams are bought
And other dreams are sold
Some dreams lie waiting
At the end of the road
The bright lights are calling me
The bright lights are calling me
When the world is dark and cold
And Im heading down the road
The bright lights are calling me

Look Through Any Doorway (alternate Take)
Look through any doorway,
Each life will tell its story.
See the joy and heartbreak,
For all the world to see.
Shes on the city streets,
On her face is desolation.
Just a kid from out of town,
In the land of hope and glory.
Look through any doorway,
Each life will tell its story.
See the joy and heartbreak,
For all the world to see.
Open up your heart.
Open up the highway,
The road will stretch before you,
For there will be a new day,
Where love will show the way.
Only shadows of the world we left behind,
Open up your heart,
Many shadows of the past, so dont look back.
Look at the wars,
A part of greed affects us all
Theres a better way, despite what they do or say,
People of the world.
Look through any doorway,
Tell me what you see.
Open up your heartache,
And love will show the way.
Searching for the way,
Through all the doubt and sorrow.
Days turn into years,
But well build a new tomorrow.
Look through any doorway,
Each life will bear its treasure.
Open up your heartache,
And love will show the way.
All the shadows of the world we left behind,
Open up your heart.
Many shadows of the past, so dont look back,
Open up your heart.
Open up your heart.

Feelings on Watching the Moon
Time hard year famine life land empty
Brothers live abroad each east west
Fields gardens few fall shield spear after
Bone flesh flow apart road road on
Hang shadow separate like 10,000 li goose
Leave root apart rise 9 autumn dishevelled
Together look bright moon should fall tear
One night home heart 5 place alike The times are hard: a year of famine has emptied the fields,
My brothers live abroad- scattered west and east.
Now fields and gardens are scarcely seen after the fighting,
Family members wander, scattered on the road.
Attached to shadows, like geese ten thousand li apart,
Or roots uplifted into September's autumn air.
We look together at the bright moon, and then the tears should fall,
This night, our wish for home can make five places one.
Who I am
Who I am is a girl who cries.
Who never seems to be happy
with whom I am.
Who I am is a girl that is beaten.
Not physically, but emotionally.
Whatever I do, it’s not good enough.
Self esteem down so far, for anyone
to bring it up.
Who I am is a nice girl.
To nice for anyone to take seriously.
To nice to stand up for myself
when others bring me down.
Who I am is a girl in pain.
Always being put down by family
and friends.
Nobody appreciates anymore what
People do.
Being laughed at, made fun of
just because you were a little different.
Not what the popular girls were like,
or everyone else, so you had to suffer.
Who I am is a girl who is laid back.
Like an ocean on a bright sunny day.
as it looks so peaceful,
and you just want to look at it all day.
Who I am is a girl who fights
in what I believe in.
Never down for the count.
Always there by your side.
Who I am is someone you can trust.
I will never give up on you,
and I will never lose faith in you.

Blue Kentucky Girl
(johnny mullins)
You left me for the bright lights of the town
A country boy set out to see the world
Remember when those neon lights shine down
That big old moon shines on your kentucky girl
I swear I love you by the moon above you
How bright is it shining in your world
Some morning when you wake up all alone
Just come on home to your blue kentucky girl
Dont wait to bring great riches home to me
I need no diamond rings or fancy pearls
Just bring yourself, youre all Ill ever need
Thats good enough for this blue kentucky girl
I swear I love you by the moon above you
How bright is it shining in your world
Some morning when you wake up all alone
Just come on home to your blue kentucky girl
Just come on home to your blue kentucky girl

Havana Moon
Chant...
Me all alone
Jug of rum
Me stand and wait for the boat to come
Is lonely night is quiet the dark
The boat she late its 12 o clock
Me watches the tide easin in
Is low the moon and high the wind
Havana moon
Havana moon
Me all alone
Me open the rum
Is long the wait for the boat to come
American girl come back to me
Sail way across the sea
We dock in new york the buildings high
We find a home up in the sky
Havana moon...
Havana moon...
Me still alone me drinkin the rum
Begin to think that the boat no come
American girl she tell a lie
She say till then, but she mean goodbye
Havana moon...
Havana moon...
Me lay down alone, no good the rum
Me fall asleep and the boat she come
The girl she look till come the dawn
She weep and she cry
Return for home
The whistle blow me open my eyes
Bright the sun blue the sky
Me grab me shoes, me jump and me run
Me see the boat head for horizon
Havana moon is gone da rum
The boat she sail me love she gone
Havana moon...
Havana moon...

Evening Ramble
As evening shadows fall
And stars begin to shine
We walk hand in hand
Under a moon that’s divine
The creatures of the night
Scamper to and fro
They will stop for a moment
As their eyes reflect the light
We walk through a wonderland
On our ramble as we go
Our hearts beat as one
In the stillness, don’t you know
Here on a warm summer night
Its not only the stars that shine bright
Flowers fill the air
With a fragrant perfume
And love is everywhere
It fills the heart with peace and joy
For every man, woman, girl and boy

Revelation
When the harvest moon is full
And makes the night as bright as day.
I see the world as beautiful
Although in a different way.
To how it looks by bright sunlight.
I watch the subtle interplay
Between the shadows of the night
In their attempts to hide away.
From the effulgence of the moon.
They cannot hide although they try.
To me the brightness is a boon
Revealing beauties to my eye.
Which otherwise I would not see
Wrapped in the shadows mystery.

Happiness In The Mind Of The Lover!
When a beautiful girl walks on the street
In the evening while the sun rays fall on her straight,
There is nice breeze when the hair is floating in the air
Her silhouette is seen in the moonlight with a flare,
It gives a lot of enthusiasm, pleasure
And happiness in the mind of the lover!
