My Friend Is Gone
Delivered by two mothers
Ordained to be siaseme twins
Co-joined perchance at nymphs
Cleaving together like the unbroken cords
We climbed moutains together
Taking giant steps to greatness.
We paddled the same canoe
Through the murky waters.
Our dreams were the same,
Our aspirations were inseparable.
Consistently we washed each others back.
What a great companion.
Why do you suddenly eclipsed?
Why embarking on a journey of no return?
Why translating into the celestial
When there are more to be done here?
Why did you depart unannounced?
In order to dine with with the cherubims?
Why not wishing me bye?
You were my great companion
A worthy friend indeed.
Adieu, my worthy friend.

On Mr. Gay
Of Manners gentle, of Affections mild;
In Wit, a Man; Simplicity, a Child:
With native Humour temp'ring virtuous Rage,
Form'd to delight at once and lash the age:
Above Temptation, in a low Estate, 5
And uncorrupted, ev'n among the Great:
A safe Companion, and an easy Friend,
Unblam'd thro' Life, lamented in thy End.
These are Thy Honours! not that here thy Bust
Is mix'd with Heroes, or with Kings thy dust; 10
But that the Worthy and the Good shall say,
Striking their pensive bosoms-
Here
lies GAY.

Sonnet: On Greatness
Greatness is not a thing, much like an art;
Some man turns great if on it he stumbles;
His greatness ceases, if he thinks, he's great;
Great is he truly who tho' great, humbles.
Greatness is not true greatness, self-proclaimed;
Greatness is not what world showers on us;
Greatness is neither got by being claimed.
Greatness is not achieved by making fuss.
Greatness could come if world decides to give;
Greatness will stay if God blesses our work;
Such greatness, God-destined comes while men live;
Greatness can grow even without much luck.
Greatness doesn't come to everyone on earth;
Some men are made great; some are great by birth.

Journey Towards Light
Walking on the road, I realized something amiss
On turning my back I saw my shadow had disappeared
Leaving me all alone in my journey towards light;
I searched for my companion everywhere
But to my grief he got lost somewhere in darkness
Leaving me all alone in my journey towards light
I don’t know how to pursue my journey without him?
Scared enough to take a step ahead
But determined to achieve my goal I began to walk
Not caring for obstacles and darkness in my path.
After reaching at the end of dark tunnel
I saw a ray of light
My happiness knew no bounds
But there came a voice from somewhere
And it was of my companion shadow
He told me, “My friend your journey in light has just begun
Keep following your path towards wisdom and you shall
Achieve your goal”.
Indeed he was right.
My journey towards light has just begun and
It’s a Long way before I reach my destination.

What Deaner Was Talkin About
The wash is out, its hanging up
And all I have is nothing
Nothing to do, nothing to say
I think I must be dreaming
The sun comes up and Im all washed out
Is this what deaner was talkin about
I dont think I will ever return again my friend
If I was king Id wear a ring
And never hurt my people
Id stay alert and dress to kill
I might even slip you something
The sun comes up and Im all washed out
Is this what deaner was talkin about
I dont think I will ever return again my friend
The sun comes up and Im all washed out
Is this what deaner was talkin about
I dont think I will ever return again my friend
I do not think I will ever return again, my friend [2x]

What Be A Friend Of Thee? What Be This Friend To Ye?
Perchance i might say old friend...
You are my one of all friend to friends of a friend of all friends.
Friends are a lot that are few in time...
A friend is a friend of mine be so ever good and sublime.
A friend will not ask you to go to jail for them...
A true friend will stay behind with you or not
soon depart from you when you've become mad at them.
A friend will stay and talk with you when time is of the area of being early or late...
A friend will accompany you on a double date when the woman
he has chosen for you just might be of the ugliest and hideousest of state.
What is a friend true or best? ...
A friend is a friend, no matter what be your best given test.

Today... 'The Friend from my youth
Since from my youth I have known Jesus my Lord
and have walked close to Him obeying His word.
He has been my Companion and my Friend
and will walk with me until my life shall end.
Our souls are knit together and we are one
although I am a sinner and He is God's Son.
For no greater friend could any one desire
than this great Friend of my Youth Whom I admire.
He is a friend Who's closer than a brother
and His friendship can compare with no other.
As Jonathan loved David so I love my Lord
He's my Saviour and friend Whose name I applaud.
He'll not forsake me or leave me on my own.
With a friendship like His I'll not be alone.
Together we walk along this earthly way
and will continue until my dying day.
And there in the heavens both of us shall be
a friendship that shall outlast eternity.
Then I'll know Him as I've never known before
This wondrous Friend of my Youth Who I adore.

Dark Companion
Another round for my dark companion (1)
The view from here is crouded now
My doppelganger smiles at me (2)
From across the room
I will wear only black and white
And hide in the alleys
On a saturday night
The endless prattle of politicians (3)
Rings in my ears
The rain makes my eyeliner run (4)
Another round for my dark companion
Another round for my dark companion
The great social issues mean less than nothing
To dimensional pests
On my tv screen
The view from here is crouded now
My doppelganger smiles at me
From across the room
Another round for my dark companion
Another round for my dark companion...

Worthy
you think you're not worthy
I'd have to say I agree
I'm not worthy of you
you're not worthy of me
which of us is deserving
look at the human race
the whole planet at arm's length
and we don't deserve this place
what good is a poker face
when you've got an open hand
I was supposed to be cool about this
yeah
I remember
cool was the plan
tried to keep it all under wraps
but the wraps kept going slack
I keep turning round
I keep coming back
give me a vertical
your horizontal line
I want to take each of them
bend them to divine
the world is too good for me
I am such a naughty girl
but when we're together
we're too good for this world
you think you're not worthy
I'd have to say I agree
I'm not worthy of you
you're not worthy of me
I'm not worthy of you
you aren't worthy of me...

You're a Great Friend
When I have a bad day, I can go to you and
You make me feel better
You also put a smile on my face
I don't know what I will do without you here by my side
Thanks for being there
You're a great friend
When someone broke my heart, I can count on you to be there
You make me realized that there is something more important than him
I don't need him to make me happy
You're a great friend
When I have a problem, I know there is one person I can go to and is you
You help me get through it and not to hold back
You help me with so much
Thank you so much
You're a great friend
When I have a bad day, I can go to you and
You make me feel better
You put a smile on my face
I don't know what I will do without you here by my side
Thanks for being there
You're a great friend
When I need to talk to you about something, you are always there
You're a true friend
Everyone will want to be your friend because you're amazing person ever
I'm so happy to have you here with me
You're a great friend

a best friend is a secret sharer,
a best friend is a great consultant,
a best friend is a comfort giver,
a best friend is like a diamond.
a best friend is always care,
a best friend is always share,
a best friend makes you smile,
a best friend is loving, caring, sweet and true
a best friend is someone just like you.

A Kingly Man
O Friend of always the right,
The clue of time is hidden in my purse;
Inside is also a great travel that I embark upon.
O Friend of mine, why is this?
It is inside the purse that lingers a shiny bauble,
A shiny ring, and it lets us journey the hills of space.
The Friend: O Little man, I seek a helper
To lift me into light, and majesty is all I can utter
As I am a king who needs no travels nor journey of rings.
O Friendly King, my love is an ornament for you,
And the light of the ring is more spacious,
So I may think the task too great for you.
The Friend: O Little man, I am not dazzled by your ring,
My jewels are with me, and my friends are not.
Your journey can never begin.
For this it is quarrel and fight,
And the king must leave his little friend.
To always call him his foe.

Mr Hypocrite
Mr Hypocrite!
I cannot be your your friend!
I cannot wine nor dine with thee!
I will not be your friend!
Oh mr hypocritic clergy man!
I will not be your friend!
I will not wine nor dine with you!
I will not be your friend I say!
The last time i turned my back on you!
You stuck a knife in it!
The last time I put my trust in you!
You took me for a fool!
The Last time i gave my love to you!
You broke it like an egg!
Oh Mr hypocritic man I say!
I will not be your friend!
I will not Sit and eat with you!
I will not be your friend!

Fantastic friend
A good friend
For me
Friend is one
Whose intentions are transparent
And who behaves in a fashion
Not deviating dangerously
From my expectations
I have a friend
Matching well my above specifications
Who makes it clear to me
That he will never try to understand me
Any amount of my
Explaining him my stance
Has no meaning for him
He simply refuses to understand me
He will also not mince words while telling me
Please make no attempts
To make me understand
I am determined not to do that
This deportment of his
Is comfortable to me as
I enjoy accepting people as they are
With no great efforts made
To understand them
As it is my weighed belief that
I have not understood any thing so far
My great friend
Has also understood this
And demonstrates the confidence
That there will not be any time lost
In the fruitless unnecessary efforts of understanding
And so,
We, when stay together,
Enjoy the company of each other
And each second of our association
Is spent only to enjoy the presence of
A compatible companion to the other
With none posing to be leader of the situation
With none driving home a point
With no goals fixed
With no targets to be reached
Each second spent in his company is
Memorable and whenever I am left alone
I recall with pleasure
The painless pastime
I had with this great friend
On a previous occasion
Whenever he is with me
Each unit of time, say, second
Will stand before me
Ask me whether it can lapse
Leaving space for the
Next second
This great glamorous friend is
None other than my
Four year old grandson

Someone Deceit Free and Not a Greedy Needer
I want somebody worthy!
Trusting and a friend.
Someone deceit free,
And not a greedy needer.
I want somebody worthy...
Trusting and a friend
Someone deceit free,
And reeks of honesty.
My needs are simple and I make no demands.
My right hand knows,
What my left is doing.
I want someone who knows just where they stand.
And if they should fall...
Get right back up on their feet,
To hit the breeze.
I want somebody worthy!
Trusting and a friend.
Someone deceit free,
And not a greedy needer.
I want somebody worthy...
Trusting and a friend
Someone deceit free,
And reeks of honesty.
Is that 'one'
For me!
My needs are simple and I make no demands.
My right hand knows,
What my left is doing consciously.
I want someone who knows just where they stand.
And if they should fall...
Get right back up on their feet,
To hit the breeze.
I want somebody,
Who will not compromise with defeat!
I want somebody,
Who has stopped trying to find enemies.
Someone deceit free and not a greedy needer,
Is for me.
Someone deceit free and not a greedy needer,
Is for me.
