Look Into My Eye
In love,
I suffered..
My heart
A mound of pain,
Suffering and misery.
Cause,
you never looked into my eyes,
Never touched my brow,
Or told me your mind.
But,
Tied to you,
By a nameless bond,
I cried my silent tears
Streaming down my pale cheeks.
Suffered silently
My lone melancholy.
Hoping..
For the day
You would turn around
Look into my eyes
'windows to my soul'
Or touch my brow
And tell me something
Even if it was like
'go away'.
But...
days followed into days
Many days…
I wanted it to end.
The pain was awful,
The suffering intolerable.
One day...
God walked me..
Into this world of sunshine
All bright and dazzling white.
I suffered no more
My heart was again
An organ,
No longer
A mound of aching melody.
I am free…
As a bird
Out of shackles of chained melancholy
And as I fly
I still cry
For once…
Just once,
If you had,
Looked me into the eye..

For Haiti I Cry
My heart like a desert
My tears like a river
Shifting sands of sadness
My whole body shivers
I am sick with suffering
I am pregnant with pain
My ruptured heart bleeds
From my eyes flow the rain
Lachrymose! Lachrymose!
Haiti I weep for thee
Your sons and daughters
Have suffered tragic misery
I bawl! Don't ask me why!
For Haiti! For Haiti I cry!

Gloomy Clouds
As the clouds course through the sky, you sit below and wonder why,
Why we have such clouds in life, filling our days with darkened strife.
Just why it is that dark days come, filling one’s joyful heart with glum.
When darkness overcomes the light, nothing seems to be going right.
Filing your heart with undue care; pushing the heart towards despair,
From the heaviness upon your heart, that seems like it will not depart.
You may not know the how or whys, but know Christ is eternally wise.
For Christ suffered just like us; and in Christ you can place your trust.
When in a gloomy cloud of rain, let not your suffering heart complain.
God is sovereign over all affairs, and is one you know who truly cares.
He cared enough to die for you, and knows all you are going through.
Whatever, He’s been there friend, knowing the beginning and the end.
Christ suffered just like you and me, but He was nailed upon a tree,
Where He was mocked and left to die, a wicked death for you and I.
Friend in His suffering as God’s Son, He for us was the rejected one.
And by His Father, be not mistaken, for our sin, Christ was forsaken.
It was a dark time for Christ indeed, He was left on a cross to bleed.
Abandoned by those close to Him; and this because He bore our sin.
A dark time of such I will never see, as on that day Christ died for me.
Dark times that may fall on me, can never compare to that of Calvary.

Getting Through
I know my heart is shattered into a million pieces
I know I've lost something valuable, precious and irreplaceable
I know there will be days when I will cry and break and hurt
But I know too that I am strong enough to get through this
My soul has cried many tears that have failed to heal my aching heart
My mind has screamed many thoughts that have failed to ease my inner pain
All thats left now is to rise up, be strong, sit with the loss and the pain and work through it
For the only way out is through - i can't jump over it or go around it - I have to go through it
I will come out on the other side a wiser, happier person
I will not sit and dwell on this loss and pain
I will grieve, it is necessary, but I will not focus all my attention on the pain
Instead I will focus my attention on getting through it, on looking forward at the bright lights ahead
The world cannot consist only of pain and misery, I refuse to believe that
I will find happiness and joy and cling to every little bit of it with all the strength I have
I will be whole and loved again

I Remeber
'All my life,
I've been searching,
until that day when,
I met you.'
These words seem foolish,
to me now,
just looking back,
I fell for that? !
What did I know,
nothing I suppose,
for now I see,
you never meant a word.
I hope one day,
I can look back,
and understand why,
you did what you did.
But until then,
I just sit,
in pain and agony,
because of you.
I hope one day,
you'll feel such pain,
then realize how badly,
you hurt me.
I know it's wrong,
to wish pain on another,
but I really want you,
to understand all this.
But that's long in the past,
though days I still dream,
of the times we shared,
and what you meant to me.
We had something special,
but it never lasted long,
but those days leading up to it,
I'll never forget.
The way you let,
your heart do the talking,
the way you just,
were all you could be.
The way our eyes met,
the way our hands touched,
such perfect days,
now just dreams.
I would get lost,
in your eyes,
and keep silent,
as you spoke.
I remember those days,
do you as well,
remember the time,
my heart skipped a beat?
The laughs,
the tears,
the love,
and warmth.
But I guess,
it's all in the past,
there's nothing I can do,
but just let go of you.

Dead And Gone
In years from now when I am dead and gone
Will people read the words that I had wrote
If they do will they agree with what they read
And if so truly, understand the feelings I had spoke.
Will they feel the pain and suffering that I felt
In the many days of my own life
Maybe they will etch my feelings inside their soul
And If so, I wonder for me if they will cry.
I wonder if anyone will go into a deep thought
After reading the words that I had spoke
And then will they think and understand that feeling too
While inside their soul or heart a memory I will had awoke.
Maybe they will be with me in those lonesome nights
When my soul and I felt so very alone
When I couldn't sleep so I had to write
While my soul stayed stationary, but my mind it did roam.
And will they feel the pain that I did feel
With every line that I suffered as I did write
Will they shed a tear that my lover never shed for me
While she was always in my heart and in my sight.
And when they finish my book and close it shut
Will they reflect my feelings as they walk away
Will they say they know the pain that I have felt
As they too had felt it in their very own days.
Will they cry the tears that was never cried for me
As they go searching for my last resting place
To give the sympathy they might say I deserve
While trying to visualize my soul through my face.
If they look and find and then walk unto my grave
I wander for me if i will receive long forgotten grieving
Telling me how sad and the pity they hold for me
After reading my words, maybe they will start believing.
And maybe they will walk to the graves of the others
The ones who did me wrong and who sealed my fate
Who made me the poet whom I had to become
Will they tell them their souls, and living they do hate.
So as I finish writing with these last few thoughts
I hope forever my words and feelings will continue on
As I know I am not alone and my pain is not fastened to me
But really who will know, until I am dead and gone.

Always Suffering
Let's take a walk
Just you and me
And talk of days gone by
Across the fields
Under the trees
Let's speak of you and I
While the whole world
Was wandering
We walked a steady line
When all our friends
Were wavering
We kept on trying
Now we're always suffering
Already lost
Always suffering
Already lost
Remember when
On summer days
I would sing a lovers son
How you would smile
Shower me with praise
And the sun shined on
Now the rain is falling slow
And the nights grow long
And the train
Cries out so hauntingly
She is gone
Now we're always suffering
Already lost
We're always suffering
Already lost
Please take these flowers
Smell the perfume
Let your soul come alive
Let there be hope
Hope in your heart
That our love may revive
For life is but a chance
On a wind swept hill
And the seeds of love
Are swirling above
Let them be still
But we're always suffering
We're already lost
Always suffering
Already lost

The Winds Have Shifted
Why are you expressing your concern,
For the needs of others...
Now?
When those needs have been pronounced,
Long before you thought they should...
Be to you announced.
Why do you express now such empathy?
Is it because you feel,
Your sudden needs should take priority?
It is no mystery that the winds have shifted.
And upon your eyes,
Those storm clouds have come to drift.
When the Sun above your head shone bright...
You showed no concern for those in blight.
Why do you express now such empathy?
Is it because you feel,
Your sudden needs should take priority?
Why are you expressing your concern,
For the needs of others...
Now?
When those needs have been pronounced,
Long before you thought they should...
Be to you announced.
When did you discover,
Others deceived also suffered.
When did you realize,
Those days would come...
When you would be agonized,
With a suffering done!
It is no mystery that the winds have shifted.
And upon your eyes,
Those storm clouds have come to drift.
When the Sun above your head shone bright...
You showed no concern for those in blight.
But now you call for all to fight,
For equality and human rights!
But when you slept sound and peacefully those nights,
You knew not of hunger or homelessness!
Or just a bite of anything to soothe an appetite.
When did you discover,
Others deceived also suffered.
When did you realize,
Those days would come...
When you would be agonized,
With a suffering done!

Broken Silence
I've always tried to please everyone but me,
But now I've had enough
I'm done just let me be
I've know for a long time that the only way you'll love me
Is if I be who you want me to be
But not anymore I'm sorry,
Maybe the person you want me to be just isn't me
I'm done pretending I'm happy all the time
I'm done feeling so miserable to the point of crying
You've never been shy about telling me that if I didn't conform
You'd get rid of me like all the rest
Well I'm sorry but I'm done
Guess I failed the test
I've tried my best to deal with the pressure
And my best to stay sane,
But its useless because things around here
Are NEVER going to change
I've always suffered in silence up until now
And at times I look back and ask myself how?
How did I sit there in all my misery and pain and stay silent?
All I know is they're over
All my days of being quite
I guess you could say suffering in silence was my token,
But not anymore
Because my silence has forever been broken

My Eyes Dont Cry
I was a lonely no one
Living in a vacuum as lifes debris
Victimized as one whose self deprivation
Had made for my outer insecurity
I was a he aint nothin
Living in the slums of loves misery
Starving from the lack of sweet affection
til you came to rescue me
My eyes dont cry no more
My heart dont ache no more
Since you walked through my door
I dont have to no longer be blue
My eyes dont cry no more
My heart dont ache no more
Now taht loves touched my soul
All my lonely nights alone are through
I was a mr lonely
Seeing only darkness in the bright of day
Blind even though my eyes were wide opened
But then your love sunshined my way
My eyes dont cry no more
My heart dont ache no more
Since you walked through my door
I dont have to no longer be blue
My eyes dont cry no more
My heart dont ache no more
Now taht loves touched my soul
All my lonely nights alone are through
I dont cry, baby baby I dont cry
I dont cry, baby baby I dont cry
I dont cry, baby baby I dont cry
(repeat)
My life was without reason
Sinking in a hell that had no space or time
Falling to the burning pit of pain and sorrow
Until you saved this life of mine
My eyes dont cry no more
My heart dont ache no more
Since you walked through my door
I dont have to no longer be blue
My eyes dont cry no more
My heart dont ache no more
Now taht loves touched my soul
All my lonely nights alone are through
I dont cry, baby baby I dont cry
I dont cry, baby baby I dont cry
I dont cry, baby baby I dont cry
I dont cry, baby baby I dont cry
My eyes dont cry no more
My heart dont ache no more
My nights are not lonely no more
My tears dont flow no more
My eyes dont cry, my eyes dont cry,
My eyes dont cry no more

Vincent
Starry, starry night:
Paint your palette blue and gray.
Look out on a summer's day
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul.
Shadows on the hills.
Sketch the trees and the daffodils;
Catch the breeze and the winter chills
In colors on the snowy linen land.
Now i understand
What you tried to say to me,
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free.
They would not listen; they did not know how.
Perhaps they'll listen now.
Starry, starry night:
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze;
Swirling clouds in violet haze
Reflect in vincent's eyes of china blue.
Colors changing hue:
Morning fields of amber grain,
Weathered faces lined in pain
Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand.
Now i understand
What you tried to say to me,
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free.
They would not listen; they did not know how.
Perhaps they'll listen now.
For they could not love you
But still, your love was true.
And when no hope was left inside
On that starry, starry night
You took your life as lovers often do.
But i could've told you, vincent:
This world was never meant
For one as beautiful as you.
Starry, starry night:
Portraits hung in empty halls:
Frameless heads on nameless walls
With eyes that watch the world and can't forget;
Like the strangers that you've met:
The ragged men in ragged clothes.
The silver thorn, a bloody rose
Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow.
Now i think i know
What you tried to say to me,
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free.
They would not listen; they're not listening still.
Perhaps they never will.

A Cave Like A Grave
I've put your love in a cage
I've held your love and your pain
With both of my hands with my regrets
I've dumped your love and my regrets in the cage
Since the day that you've gone
Journey for me has begun
I've hidden your love and It's pain
I've dug the cave like a grave
I've held the memories with my hand
I've touched the pain, Ah I cried vain
One by one I've added them to the cave
All your promises were undone
You've gone.
I've put the cave like a grave
Upon my shoulders I held your ache unaware
Years long years you were there
Inside my heart never went
I've held you with me in rough
I cried, I suffered pain, oh in vain
I held you with me all these years. Never could leaving the past years
I've held them like a bag
filled with fires and with pain
Since the day that you've gone The misery of love for me was begun
Today I want you to know
I've thrown away the cage including all your aches
I left my soul free, out of the grave of your love
The journey for me has found an end.

People Choose To Lay Up On Their Backsides
'I have suffered this.
I have suffered that.'
'I have suffered this.
And,
I suffer from that.'
Hear them talk about their pains,
And those agonies they reveal.
'I have suffered this.
I have suffered that.'
And...
Listen how they boast about,
Reasons why they choose NOT to heal.
'I have suffered this.
And,
I suffer from that.'
People like to stay flat on their back-
Sides!
People like to moan and that's a fact.
People like to stay flat on their back-
Sides!
People like to feel that keep it real...
To suffer!
'I have suffered this.
I have suffered that.'
'I have suffered this.
And,
I suffer from that.'
'I have suffered this.
I have suffered that.'
'I have suffered this.
And,
I suffer from that.'
And...
People choose to lay up on their backsides!
Listen to their reasons NOT to heal!
'I have suffered this.
I have suffered that.
I have suffered this.
And...
I suffer from that.'

O Angel...
O Angel,
In the time of love,
Life is a silent prayer
All silent prayers!
Don't know how to describe you!
You:
The soul of innocence
Or innocence of the soul,
The soul of pain
Or pain of the soul,
The soul of loneliness
Or loneliness of the soul,
The soul of poetry
Or the poetry of the soul.......
Or
The soul of all souls
Wild with love at heart?
Who are you?
Days of love are
The days of pain never ending,
Days of pleasure immense!
Yes, the are the days of purge!
Like a wildfire, your words
Torment my soul...
Like a gentle caress,
Helps me resurrect like Phoenix...
Like a butterfly,
I flutter to kiss
All your dream-flowers
To enjoy all the hidden metaphors.....
A creative heart
Likes to be naked
And tormented always!
I know that
You are weaving wings for...................

Lying Still
She came thru the door round my place
She was not the same
I reached out my hand to touch her face
She turned her head away
Her words flew in empty circles
Reasons unexplained
I saw that her thoughts were somewhere else
We made love anyway
Lying still in your arms
And the tears came down
She cried her pain
And like the rain that draws a cloud across the sun
The tears flow on
She cried the pain she felt inside
As night touched the sky with moonglow
She opened up her heart
The tides of emotions ebb and flow
Washing us apart
We talked thru the night in whispers
As the silent city lay
Reasons she gave cut deep and hard
The dawn broke angry grey
Lying still in your arms
Heartbeats cold
She cried my pain
Like thunder rolling thru an aching winter sky
Heartbeats cold
Her pain
Lying still in your arms
But the tears came down
She cried my pain
And like the rain that draws a cloud across the sun
The tears flow on
She cried the pain I felt inside
The future dissolves in the tears
The morning surrenders the years
How can you say our love wasnt real
When I can see how you feel
Another time
Another place
I wont cry for her
No more
The days go on
But the nights are long
Ill remember her
For sure
Still in your arms

Days
- Album: Reality
- Lyrics and music by David Bowie
Hold me tight
Keep me cool
Going mad
Don't know what to do
Do I need a friend?
Well I need one now
All the days of my life
All the days of my life
All the days I owe you
All I've done
I've done for me
All you gave
You gave for free
I gave nothing in return
And theres little left of me
All the days of my life
All the days of my life
All the days I owe you
With redeyed pain I'm knocking on your door again
My crazy brain in tangles pleading for your gentle voice
Those storms keep pounding through my faded heart
I'll play your sooth my sorry soul
All the days of my life
(All the days of my life)
All the days of my life
(All the days of my life)
All the days I owe you
All the days of my life
(All the days of my life)
All the days of my life
(All the days of my life)
All the days I owe you
All the days of my life

I Wanted To Tell Her
I wanted to tell her but I stuck to my lies
I wanted to tell her till I looked in her eyes
I wanted to tell her but I stuck to my lies
I wanted to tell her till I looked in her eyes
I wanted to tell her
I needed to tell her
Just like the wind you blew away your happy lovers touch
You bring the blues into my heart just like a rush
I cannot bear the way my heart has helped to keep you close
Of you my babe I cannot get enough
You touch me baby
I loved you to the lines of lies you told when I asked her name
I knew the perfume in your hair just wasnt mine
Did you ever think to notice me when you wasnt home?
I noticed every time
I wanted to tell her but I stuck to my lies
I wanted to tell her till I looked in her eyes
I wanted to tell her but I stuck to my lies
I wanted to tell her till I looked in her eyes
Thought you noticed every time but you didnt notice a thing
Id have to cover up my calls when the telephone would ring
Im tired of you and the things you do and all the things you say
No more babysitting for neurotic girls today
Im thinking that the pain Im going through just to keep you babe
Is something that I should bear
Did you ever stop to notice me when you had nothing?
And I never cared?
Just like the wind you blew away your happy lovers touch
You bring the blues into my life just like a rush
I cannot bear the way my heart has helped to keep you close
Of you my babe I cannot get enough
You touch me baby, dont be mean to me!
I wanted to tell her but I stuck to my lies
I wanted to tell her till I looked in her eyes
I wanted to tell her but I stuck to my lies
I wanted to tell her till I looked in her eyes
I wanted to tell her but I stuck to my lies
I wanted to tell her till I looked in her eyes
I wanted to tell her
I needed to tell her
