Paulo Coelho

Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dream.

Look Into My Eye

In love,
I suffered..
My heart
A mound of pain,
Suffering and misery.
Cause,
you never looked into my eyes,
Never touched my brow,
Or told me your mind.

But,
Tied to you,
By a nameless bond,
I cried my silent tears
Streaming down my pale cheeks.
Suffered silently
My lone melancholy.

Hoping..
For the day
You would turn around
Look into my eyes
'windows to my soul'
Or touch my brow
And tell me something
Even if it was like
'go away'.

But...
days followed into days
Many days…
I wanted it to end.
The pain was awful,
The suffering intolerable.

One day...
God walked me..
Into this world of sunshine
All bright and dazzling white.

I suffered no more
My heart was again
An organ,
No longer
A mound of aching melody.

I am free…
As a bird
Out of shackles of chained melancholy
And as I fly
I still cry
For once…
Just once,
If you had,
Looked me into the eye..

Suffering

I heard about your happiness
And all the plans that youre involved in
Since youre gone youd be impressed
To know i, too, have been evolving
But I dont think you comprehend
Ive been suffering
Yeah, Ive been suffering
Guess Ill be suffering up around the bend
This love is a cancer in me
I can feel it advancing in me
This fire it is my light in the world
Well, I found me a new friend
Ive been suffering
Yeah, Ive been suffering
Guess Ill be suffering up around the bend
I hung around in a leather bar
They threw me on the cement
Slept all night in my plastic car
Got in an accident
I brushed by you in the supermart
And I had me a touch of whats real
It was real when you crushed me with your steel
Black clouds roll through my mind
Who says anyway these halls are sovereign?
I am a hater of the human kind
So keep away, this hearts not softening
No, I dont think that its the end of this suffering
Yeah, Ive been suffering
Ive been suffering
Ive been suffering
And Ill be suffering up around the bend

Gloomy Clouds

As the clouds course through the sky, you sit below and wonder why,
Why we have such clouds in life, filling our days with darkened strife.
Just why it is that dark days come, filling one’s joyful heart with glum.
When darkness overcomes the light, nothing seems to be going right.

Filing your heart with undue care; pushing the heart towards despair,
From the heaviness upon your heart, that seems like it will not depart.
You may not know the how or whys, but know Christ is eternally wise.
For Christ suffered just like us; and in Christ you can place your trust.

When in a gloomy cloud of rain, let not your suffering heart complain.
God is sovereign over all affairs, and is one you know who truly cares.
He cared enough to die for you, and knows all you are going through.
Whatever, He’s been there friend, knowing the beginning and the end.

Christ suffered just like you and me, but He was nailed upon a tree,
Where He was mocked and left to die, a wicked death for you and I.
Friend in His suffering as God’s Son, He for us was the rejected one.
And by His Father, be not mistaken, for our sin, Christ was forsaken.

It was a dark time for Christ indeed, He was left on a cross to bleed.
Abandoned by those close to Him; and this because He bore our sin.
A dark time of such I will never see, as on that day Christ died for me.
Dark times that may fall on me, can never compare to that of Calvary.

Always Suffering

Let's take a walk
Just you and me
And talk of days gone by
Across the fields
Under the trees
Let's speak of you and I

While the whole world
Was wandering
We walked a steady line
When all our friends
Were wavering
We kept on trying

Now we're always suffering
Already lost
Always suffering
Already lost

Remember when
On summer days
I would sing a lovers son
How you would smile
Shower me with praise
And the sun shined on

Now the rain is falling slow
And the nights grow long
And the train
Cries out so hauntingly
She is gone

Now we're always suffering
Already lost
We're always suffering
Already lost

Please take these flowers
Smell the perfume
Let your soul come alive
Let there be hope
Hope in your heart
That our love may revive

For life is but a chance
On a wind swept hill
And the seeds of love
Are swirling above
Let them be still

But we're always suffering
We're already lost
Always suffering
Already lost

I'm Ready To Go.

I'm ready to go.
Take me to heaven.
I'm ready to go.
End my suffering.
I'm ready to go.
Let me stop all this blubbering.

I can't help anyone.
Wish I could.
The grave of the good.
As much as I need to know whats not understood.
Conclusions so sour sometime I wish you would.

I'm ready to go.
Take me to heaven.
I'm ready to go.
End my suffering.
I'm ready to go.
Let me stop all this blubbering.

I've look into the abyss so many times before.
This time their is no going back.
Me and the angel of the death have a contract.
With blood as the ink it has been signed and sealed.
I'm sorry but I no longer want to feel.

I'm ready to go.
Take me to heaven.
I'm ready to go.
End my suffering.
I'm ready to go.
Let me stop all this blubbering.

My emotions ride me like a hound.
Biting at my heels.
A heart that isn't real.
Watch as another layer of skin I peel.
I stand then kneel.

I'm ready to go.
Take me to heaven.
I'm ready to go.
End my suffering.
I'm ready to go.
Let me stop all this blubbering.

Wishing for something I can never have.
Denied the right as stars shoot across the twilight.
Beating myself up on the inside.
I'm so ready to so ready to die.
I'm so ready to sail the skies.

I'm ready to go.
Take me to heaven.
I'm ready to go.
End my suffering.
I'm ready to go.
Let me stop all this blubbering.

But something won't let me.
A conscience.
A destiny.
Thoughts of the angry.
They pour into me.
It should be my choice.
A echoing of my voice.

I'm ready to go.
Take me to heaven.
I'm ready to go.
End my suffering.
I'm ready to go.
Let me stop all this blubbering.

I'm ready to go.
Take me to heaven.
I'm ready to go.
End my suffering.
I'm ready to go.
Let me stop all this blubbering.

Friendship Blessings In Illness Adversity

after over a week
of nasty typhoid
an unpleasant
experience crippling
which induces
unintentional
extreme dieting

excessive sleeping
some pale introspection
when the earth moved
it left me unmoved
except in sympathy
for those in fear, pain,
suffering material loss

worse physical wounds
loss of loved ones
cycles of suffering
have many causes
too few sources of healing
thus in friends loved ones
are we usually most blessed

Madraykin

(K.J.Garside)
Let not your hold be so tight,
She'll return in the morning,
If you give her the night.
Madraykin is she suffering?
Is she suffering?
Madraykin is she suffering?
Revealing her birthmark you cast out her eye,
Clipped are the wings of the angels sighs,
Revealing her birthmark you put out her tongue,
Clipped are the wings of the fairies who run.
Madraykin is she suffering?
Is she suffering?
Madraykin is she suffering?
How deep does she weep in your well of unkeep,
The kiss of Madraykin will keep you from sleep.
Keep you from sleep,
Keep you from sleep,
Keep you from sleep,
Keep you from sleep.

Comprehension...Or Torment

No one knows,
When we suffer.
Or how it is we suffer,
When suffering comes and is done...
By anyone

No one knows the extent of it.
How deep what is felt.
And when those sorrows visit to sit.

Although folks give advice and instructions.
With sections of pamphlets,
To read by professionals.
To emphasize their recommendations,
Underlined in 'red'.
Suggestions researched...
To read and ease our minds,
Before going to bed!
Hopefully not to stay awake...
To pace the floor instead.

No one knows,
When we suffer.
Or how it is we suffer,
When suffering comes and is done...
By anyone.

When suffering comes.
And alone it is done!

And listening to someone say to us to pray...
Is not a cure all or remedy,
That takes our suffering to numb quickly away.

But...
Pray we must,
And trust...
That those burdens carried,
Will be lifted up and away from us.
Knowing in our hearts...
God watches and will do His part!

No one knows,
When we suffer.
Or how it is we suffer,
When suffering comes and is done....
By anyone.

When suffering comes.
And alone it is done!
So it seems.

Only God knows how to heal and mend!
Only God knows when to send our sufferings away.

And many times with faith...
God intervenes.
Before the suffering has had a chance,
To arrive on the scene.
Depending on what it is we wish to choose.
Comprehension...
Or torment,
With unquestioned agony!

Miguel de Unamuno

There is no true love save in suffering, and in this world we have to choose either love, which is suffering, or happiness. Man is the more man - that is, the more divine - the greater his capacity for suffering, or rather, for anguish.

My Mom's Cancer

My Mom's Cancer

The day I found out the Truth
about my Mom dieing of Caner,
It hurt me so bad and tore my heart apart,
because there was nothing else they cud do for her,
It was so hard to see my whole family crying but at least we were all there for my Mom.
I sat by her side each day and told her I loved her and she would always be in my heart,
and she wud turn to me and smile.
Then God took her, and at least she isn't suffering nemore,
and she is at peace with her pain and suffering.
I will alway's luv her and miss her....

Like birth and death

Birth brings happiness.
Parents bring happiness.
Brothers and sisters too.
So do wife and children.
Their exit one by one
Brings you much suffering.
Your death looms with suffering.
Your enemy brings suffering.
Your rivals cause suffering.
Usurpers and thieves too.
So do the wicked and cheats.
Their exit brings happiness.
Accept happiness and suffering
As you accept your birth and death.

Religious suffering is at once the expression of real suffering and a protest against real suffering. Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the sentiment of the heartless world, as it is the soul of soulless condition. It is the opium of the people.

For Haiti I Cry

My heart like a desert
My tears like a river
Shifting sands of sadness
My whole body shivers

I am sick with suffering
I am pregnant with pain
My ruptured heart bleeds
From my eyes flow the rain

Lachrymose! Lachrymose!
Haiti I weep for thee
Your sons and daughters
Have suffered tragic misery

I bawl! Don't ask me why!
For Haiti! For Haiti I cry!
