Left Behind

Sometimes when people are leaving a train,
Behind them, personal belongings still remain.
It is totally amazing what items are found
Each day, on London's busy Underground.

The shelves at Lost Property are very neatly lined,
With an array of items, that people have left behind.
Here are just some of the things, they have retrieved;
Some items really have to be seen, to be believed!

School bags, containing a flask and lunch box,
A stuffed Japanese puffer fish, and a stuffed fox.
Purses, leather wallets, and bunches of keys,
Hats, scarves, gloves, and numerous brollies.

Walking sticks, crutches, and the odd wheelchair,
An array of children's toys, including teddy bears,
Briefcases and folders, containing important notes,
A selection of clothing, including jumpers and coats.

iPads, iPhones, memory sticks, and laptops,
A collection of shoes, socks, and flip-flops.
A whole library of books: fiction and fact,
Suitcases and holdalls, still neatly packed.

Works of art, by artists, both modern and old,
Many items of jewellery, both silver and gold.
Prosthetic arms and legs, and sets of false teeth,
Bags of groceries, including joints of fresh beef.

Cameras, video-cams, and pairs of sunglasses.
Baby buggies, skateboards, train and bus passes.
Hundred of items are left behind every single day;
To Lost Property, these items soon make their way.

Some items, with their owners, are soon reunited;
Owners are very clearly relieved and delighted.
Some items wait for many weeks for collection;
For them, nobody seems to show any affection.

Quickborn

'Quickborn', quick, born, Quinn, corn, knob, rob, Nick;
In power and with your body language to control the people around you!
But, put your items over here not to disturb your neighbour's property.

'Quickborn', bin, in, Inn, on, kin, Rick, cob, brick, or, no!
But, just a young adult like your type;
So, do not disturb your neighbour with your items.

Closer To Heaven

Those who steal should steal no more! !
For you are taking away my sins by stealing my items;
And, i am getting closer to heaven than you are.

Cut it off and throw it away!
And learn how to do the right ting than evil;
For i have to enjoy my life with my muse,
And like the peace of a land far away from home!

Stop stealing and live peacefully with us all,
Because, i want to ride my horse always in peace around you;
And like the muse of love than the muse of wars! !
For, stealing my items brings me closer to heaven than you.

No Loose Change to Pinch or Lend

Some people come from a run of funds.
To know no end of them to come.
But those who struggle everyday,
Know a price they have to pay.
For them that seems to stay that way.

Some people come from a run of funds.
To know no end of them comes.
But those who struggle everyday,
Know a price they have to pay.

No loose change to pinch or lend.
No foolishness comes to spend...
On items to show all their friends.

No loose change to pinch or lend.
No foolishness comes to spend...
On items to show all their friends.

Some people come from a run of funds.
To know no end of them to come.
But those who struggle everyday,
Know a price they have to pay.
For them that seems to stay that way.

No loose change to pinch or lend.
No foolishness comes to spend...
On items to show all their friends.

No loose change to pinch or lend.
Their pockets have more lint than cents in them.

My Hobby

I awoke early one morning, and to get a head start
I went directly to the neighborhood Hobby Mart,
I really enjoy going there, for I get to explore alot as,
I put some really interesting items in my little red cart
I have now chosed so many items,
I am usure where I am to start
Now one of my biggest decision, is to hobby or not
My hobby is an activity,
which is suppose to be,
simply recreational for me, while I unfold and just be free
Yet, when strolling in the mart, pushing that cute little cart
If that simple thought isnt clearly remembered
What I seem to enjoy alot, may somehow simply be forgot.

Ode to Shoppers Everywhere

Shopping's a pleasure
Says the local ad
To ensure
That in parting with your cash – you'll be glad.

So it was the other day
When I was picking my way
Amongst the bags and cans
And jars of assorted brands
That I looked up to see
Coming straight for me
A lady (that's what we call them)
Riding a motorized shopping pram.

So intent was she
That I hardly had time to flee
Escape was what I intended
Otherwise my life would have surely ended
For not only was she intent on shopping pleasures
But had in tow a full size cart to hold her treasures.

With items heaped high.
There was surely no sense of others nearby
Intent and passionately she came on
Taking only a moment to select and then was gone.

Gone was she to regions of the store,
I know not where, or wanted any more
Of the terrors that perhaps lurk
Around every twist and turn

So I hastened to the check out
Forgetting what other items I was without
Glad to seek the safety of the street
Where with cars and trucks I'll gladly compete.

Import and Export

Import the things more the country really need
For its economic development
Such as food, raw materials for various industries
Technology, electric power and so on.

Export the things that are surplus and competitive
And whose demand is in the foreign countries.

With a view to boost export
The government should minimize export duty
And encourage the exporters
By reducing tariff on import of associated raw materials.

The government must discourage import of nonessential items
By imposing higher import duty
And encourage production of luxury items in the country.

In the modern world international trade can play a vital role
In the economic development of any country
That’s why the governments must emphasize on it evermore.

West L.a. Fadeaway

I'm looking for a chateau, 21 rooms but one will do
I'm looking for a chateau, 21 rooms but one will do
I don't want to buy it
I just want to rent it for a minute or two
I met an old mistake walking down the street today
I met an old mistake walking down the street today
I didn't want to be mean about it
I couldn't think of one good thing to say.
West l.a. fadeaway, west l.a. fadeaway
Big red light on the highway, little green light on the freeway.
Got a steady job moving items for the mob
Got a steady job moving items for the mob
Know the pay's pathetic
It's a shame those boys couldn't be more copasetic
West l.a. fadeaway, west l.a. fadeaway
Big red light on the highway, little green light on the freeway.
I need a west l.a. girl, already know what i need to know
I need a west l.a. girl, already know what i need to know
Lord, just how far to go.
West l.a. fadeaway, here's one chance you say.
She tries to live by the golden rule.
Said you treat other people right,
Other people probably treat you cool.

To Flee From Their Own Willfulness

Will there be a scramble for lifeboats and flights,
When the seriousness of life...
Finally dawns in those minds that have blinded truth,
From their eyesight.
Will the absence of logic instantly find common sense?
And where will folks go,
To flee from their own willfulness...
That implemented the spreading of a successful ignorance.

Will people stop to pack luxuries,
In leather bound suitcases and branded designer bags?
And where will they take their 'priceless' items...
To isolated islands where the beaches are free of oil slick?
And where will they take their mindsets that are somewhat sick?
As they seat aboard exclusive spaceships,
Heading to other planets in beliefs...
To repeat their wickedness will bring to them relief!

Tiny ants we are, but our souls with yours at par

It was our routine
We move around in batches
Locate places from where
We can collect food items
Our food habits are simple
We do not need to cook
As we eat raw
We do not add spices to our food
We also do not mix food items
We are satisfied with one item
And we eat it stomachful in one go
And very importantly
We eat only when hungry
No in-between in takes
We walk, walk and only walk
We do not use any vehicle
Our tribe is known for
Organized non stop working
Recently we were in a marriage hall
We were busy material handling
And the foot item we were shifting
Was a ready-to-eat item
And we would keep it stored
In our safe custody
For consumption later on rainy days
Everything went as planned
We were almost moved all we wanted to move
The last batch of our ten people
Were moving fast through a foot path
And before they could cross
A large footed man stamped on them
And all the entire batch of ten crushed to death
We all witnessed in sorrow
The demise of our people
For no fault of theirs
"We, tiny ants cannot do anything about this.
Once I witnessed hundreds of our men
Got drowned in milk when the pot containing it
Just titled and got emptied"
A senior citizen in our group lamented

Lourdes 2006

Jimmy opened his suitcase in the room
at Lourdes and said Oh no there's molasses
all over the clothes and shoes and I've got

a whole week here and he sat down in a chair
his head in his hands saying What have I done?
What am I going to do for clothes now? you

went over and looked in and sure enough
the molasses were over his clothes and shoes.
What am I going to do? he said and you said

Leave it to me Jim I'll sort it and you went through
the clothes taking out the items untouched
by the molasses and set them aside on the bed

and then carried the suitcase of black sticky items
Into the washroom and there one by one you carefully
washed them through with soap and water until

they were clean and smelt of soap and fresh air
and all the while 94 year old Jim sat in a chair
watching with his eyes watery and jaw hung loose

seeing the black water run down the wide plughole
and once it was done you wrung the clothes out
like your mother used to do when you were a kid

and hung them out on the balcony on the small
clothesline and placed the washed out black shoes
by the outside wall to dry out in the hot afternoon

sun and Jimmy came over and stood on the balcony
with one hand on the rail and the other on his stick
looking over at the Pyrenees in the distance and he

said That was real good of you. I owe you big time
and you stood next to him feeling the hot afternoon
sun on your face and arms and felt good and you

said You owe me nothing Jim I just did what some
good guy would and his watery eyes swept over you
matching the French sky's watery afternoon blue.
