“The Moment” in my ears while I
Sit in front of my monitor
Typing these verses, stopping once
In awhile to sip a diet tea
And read an interesting short
Piece from my monthly magazine
Scientific American
Ricocheting sleet off the pane
Made me aware of the weather
Only for a moment, mind you,
Then back again to poking keys.
“The Moment” has timely ended
And so too has my contentment.

The Miracle of a Moment
A week?
A day?
An hour?
Time enough
For excellence
A moment?
Too little!
Too swift!
Too short!
Too brief!
Not so
Not right
Not true
A moment?
It’s enough!
Pregnant with possibilities
A moment
Overflowing with opportunities
A Moment
Saturated with significance
A moment
Rich with reality
A moment
Bursting with beauty
A moment
Loaded with life
A moment
Encoded with eternity
A moment
Maximize every moment

This Is The Moment
This is the moment
This is the day
This is the moment
When I know
I am on my way
Every endeavor
I have made ever
Is coming into play
Is here and now today
This is the moment
This the time
When the momentum
And the moment
are in rhyme
Give me this moment
My precious chance
I'll gather up my best
And make some sense atlast
This is the moment
When all I've done
All of the dreaming,
scheming
And screaming
becomes one
This is the day,
Just see it shine
When all that I have lived for
Becomes mine
This is the moment
This is the hour
When I can open up,
Tomorrow
like a flower
And put my hand to
Everything I plan to
Fulfill my grand desire
See all my stars align
This is the moment
My final test
Destiny beckoned
I never reckoned second best
I won't look back
I must not fall
This is the moment
The sweetest moment
Of them all
This is the moment
So double the odds
This day or never
I'll sit forever
with the gods
When I look back
I will recall
Moment for moment
This was the moment
The greatest moment of them all.

Sometimes There Is A Moment
Sometimes there's a moment,
That we don't want to change.
Sometimes there's a moment,
Where we are truly happy.
Sometimes there's a moment,
That you want to last forever.
Sometimes there's a moment,
That you look back on and smile.
Sometimes there's a moment,
When you see someone in a brilliant way.
But there's always a moment,
Where that person's changes.
There's always a moment,
Where that image fades.

One Mirror Too Many
From the moment you see
The moment you breath
The moment I touch you
From the moment you crawl
The moment you fall
The instant I loved you again
From the moment of darkness
The moment of light
The second I kissed you
From the moment I enter
The moment I leave
In this moment of rapture
Chorus
One mirror to many gonna tie you up
A life forever empty has got to be tough
To many starless night gonna leave you blind
Can never make it right
From the moment you stumble
The moment you run
In your presence I crumble
From the moment it happens
The moment you know
Theres no life without you

In This Moment
In life there comes a moment when all things are made clear, and my clarity is in this moment.
In this moment I know that I want to live the rest of my life beside you.
In this moment I know I want to start my own branch on my family tree with you.
In this moment I know that I love you.
So as I take your hand and gaze into your eyes I know that this moment is the right moment to ask you to be my wife.
Now, before you say yes think because if you do our life together forever begins
in this moment.
In A Small Moment
(carly simon)
In a small moment
She accepted credit for something she did not do
She said shed done the water color in her bedroom
But it was done by a friend from school
Just a little lie
No one would discover
At least not very soon
In a small moment
Just a little lie
When she wasnt looking it just slipped on by
In a small moment
In a restaurant where she worked the late night shift
She short changed a sailor and made five
You could never really call it a theft
Just a little lie
Swept up in her apron and kept as a well deserved gift
In a small moment
Just a little lie
When she wasnt looking it just slipped on by
In a small moment
She cheated on her lover and placed it in the back of her mind
As long as nobody knew the truth about her
It could never really be unkind
Just a little lie
That slipped beside her as she tossed and turned in her alibis
In a small moment
Just a little lie
When she wasnt looking it just slipped on by
Just a little lie
When she wasnt looking it jsut slipped on by
Slipped on by

The Missing Link
I play my guitar
I sing from my heart
and people clap.
There is this short
moment, a moment
of being heard,
a moment of being
valued on the scene.
At the end of the show
people say thanks,
words of appreciation,
words that warm the heart
and elevate the mind.
It is only a brief moment,
a brief moment
of feeling different,
as someone special
among the crowd.
And after this moment,
comes the monotone
moments of feeling alone,
of being lost in the dark.

Stream of consciousness
Kenny G is blowing “forever in love”
In my ears on my media player.
His haunting sound makes me want to weep.
Why that song affects me that way
Probably can be explained by my analyst
But I have neither the time nor money
To spend on such a frivolous notion.
The song is nearing its end like this
Stream of consciousness will in a moment.
The flowing series of images and thoughts
Running through my mind are unique
Inasmuch as another person listening
Might be affected differently or perhaps not at all
Nevertheless, the feelings have ended and so has the song.

Feel the Moment
Feel the moment
And be present.
Smell the aroma of the moment
And never show that you are absent.
Feel the moment
The moment of dialogue
The moment of possibilities
The moment of expectation.
The moment of love.
Grab the moment
Treasure it as a priceless jewel
Claim it as a great gift
Hold it as your very own.

What I Want Is What Ive Got
All that I want
In my life
Is the feeling of peace
Deep within me truly
I took a chance
I let go
I promised myself
That it wouldnt scare me
Miracles appear I know
Now I can see it show
cause i
Found out what I dreamt of
And looked it up
At this very moment
What I want is what Ive got
Found out what was missing
And I looked it up and
At this very moment
What I want is what Ive got
Life is too short
To hold back
I wont live in the past
Being lonely now I know
This is the time
Of my life
Yes Im sure what I want
Is what Ive got
Miracles appear I know
Now I can see it show
cause i
Found out what I dreamt of
And I looked it up
At this very moment
What I want is what Ive got
Found out what was missing
And I looked it up and
At this very moment
What I want is what Ive got
Now Ive found out what ive
Been dreaming of
Its the feeling of peace deep within me
Cause life is too short to hold back
I made up my mind I just
Found out what I dreamt of
And looked it up
At this very moment
What I want is what Ive got
Found out what was missing
And I looked it up and
At this very moment
What I want is what Ive got
Found out what I dreamt of
And looked it up
At this very moment
What I want is what Ive got
Found out what was missing
And I looked it up and
At this very moment
What I want is what Ive got

Moment To Moment
Too many nights of isolation
Too many echoes in my head
Too many fires left burning
In this bed
Too many thoughts of desperation
So much pain deep down below
So mych a slave to my senses
I cant let go
From moment to moment
I live and I die
This cant go on anymore
Another day, another lie
From moment to moment
I stand and I fall
This cant go on anymore
Unless we both give it all
I ask you how can a man keep his distance
How can he reason with his heart
How can you hold me so near
Yet keep me so far
From moment to moment
I live and I die
This cant go on anymore
Another day, another lie
From moment to moment
I stand and I fall
This cant go on anymore
Unless we both give it all
Sometimes Id like to break you down
To see if theres a trace of woman in you that could be found
But I just keep prayin youll come around
And live from moment to moment
I live from moment to moment
I live from moment to moment
So much a slave to my senses
I cant let go
From moment to moment
I live and I die
This cant go on anymore
Another day, another lie
From moment to moment
I stand and I fall
This cant go on anymore
Unless we both give it all
You know I want to give it all
I live from moment to moment
Everyday of my life
I live from moment to moment

Moment In Paradise
Oh, yeah
She never cried, she only tried
To fly beyond her dreams
No walls around her mind
Deep inside shed try to hide
That she was way beyond her means
No borders and no lines
She said that its your duty to save your soul
To save it for someone
Moment in paradise
Just a moment in paradise
Oh, yeah
Moment in paradise
Just a moment in paradise
Oh, yeah
She floated out upon the wind
That blew my thoughts into the night
She knew the things she had to know
She drifted high above my mind
Blew my brains out, did alright
I think she knew it all along
She said that its your duty to save your soul
To save it for someone
Moment in paradise
Just a moment in paradise
Oh, yeah
Moment in paradise
Just a moment in paradise
Oh, yeah
Oh, yeah, oh, yeah, oh, yeah
She said that its your duty to save your soul
To save it for someone
Moment in paradise
Just a moment in paradise
Oh, yeah
Moment in paradise
Moment in paradise
Moment in paradise
Moment in paradise
Oh, yeah
Moment in paradise
Moment in paradise
Just a moment in paradise

My Last Moment
It'll be the moment of excitement,
When I'll stop the movement,
When there would be no more improvement,
The moment I will ask no more.
It'll be the time I will kill the moment,
When there will be one entertainment,
What I call the last achievement,
The moment I will ask no more.
The moment I'll stop being a student,
No more blames to the government,
That time of no more being prudent,
The moment I will ask no more.
It will be such an incident,
A woman being pregnant,
And my name becomes important,
The moment I will say no more
It shouldn't be abhorrent,
If a wise man will faint,
It will be my accomplishment,
The moment I will say no more.

Our History's Start
The moment I walked in
The moment our eyes locked
The moment I begged my heart not to do this
But it wouldn't stop
The moment you smiled at me
And became the only person in the room
I could see
The moment I looked at you
And saw our faces were only a breath apart
Is the moment that will be remembered
As our history's start

The Split Moment Between..
the split moment between, when the tide comes in, and the tide goes out... that is god! the split moment between, the tears of a child, and the body of the old man being buried, that is god! the split moment between, the firing of the big guns, and the laying down of weapons, that is god! the split moment between, the firing of the revolver, and the prison door clanging shut, that is god! the split moment between, ejaculation and childbirth, that is god! the split moment between, the rise of a civilization, and its downfall, that is god! the split moment between, remorse, repentence, responsibility, and prayer, that is god! the split moment between, falling in love, and saying goodbye, that is god! the split moment between, nakedness and truth, that is god! the split moment between, loss and giving, that is god! the split moment between, darkness and dawn.... well you know!

A Moment Of Passion
A moment of Passion so easily shared,
With no fear or regret,
The momories flood through my mind,
A moment of Passion I'll never forget
A moment of Passion is like a drug,
It takes me so high,
Needing to get another fix,
A moment of Passion can never lie
A moment of Passion when we are alone,
You desire it too,
Unable to control it,
A moment of Passion shared with YOU

Be In This Moment
This is what you have, this very moment.
Do not look back.
What would you do with them?
Those glittering moments may just blind you.
You may just sink into the darkness of misery.
Your future, you may plan
Why would you move in there now?
It may be there, even may not be.
Before this moment goes out of hand
Before it is called a history,
You be in this moment,
In this very moment
And make the best out of it
If you can.
