Star Child
A child 5 years of age stared into the sun
She stared into the bright lights so long it
Burnt a hole in her mind and branded her eyes
It imprinted upon her soul, mysteries of both young and old
And then shed close her eyes tight to feel the darkness

Snow Man
You’re looking out of the window,
you’re watching the settling snow.
Soft the snow falls like angels’ feathers,
bringing your children and joy together.
For they’re building a snowman,
from whatever snow that they can.
They give me a nose, eyes, hat and pipe,
so tell me now, what do I look like?
You say I am always still and cold,
stood here for all of you to behold,
but that was the way that I was made.
This is what I am, happy in the shade.
Then there was a break in the clouds,
and the great Sun shines out loud,
hurting me, until I do cry,
until I melt, wilt and die.
The sun is here and I’ve nowhere to go,
my tears run cold, turned from snow,

I
THE lady in front of me in the car,
With little red coils close over her ears,
Is talking with her friend;
And the circle of ostrich foam around her hat,
Curving over like a wave,
Trembles with her little windy words.
What she is saying, I wonder,
That her feathers should tremble
And the soft fur of her coat should slip down over her shoulders?
Has her string of pearls been stolen,
Or maybe her husband?

He is drunk, that man -
Drunk as a lord, a lord of the bibulous past. [sic]
He shouts wittily from his end of the car to the man in the corner;
He bows to me with chivalrous apologies.
He philosophizes, plays with the wisdom of the ages,
Flings off his rags,
Displays his naked soul -
Athletic, beautiful, grotesque.
In the good time coming,

Pearls Of Soul
In the still of the night,
My mind was so confused and sad,
I closed my eyes and start to cry,
When you were hurting me with hard words.
In front of my eyes memories open up,
Beautiful memories that we lived once,
I asked myself why this nightmare happend,
What we have done with our love?
Our love suppose to be our vow,
To respect and share till the end of time,
You should see the love i have for you,
You should have faith in me like i have in you.
Tears are running down my cheeks,
