The Fast Ferry

the fast ferry
runs on a very calm sea
like a pen
writing on a very
clear paper
leaving
a trail of some
words, thoughts

about loved ones
who perished
one night

the same calm sea
swallowed
a very big boat
and having
satisfied itself

to the full
like a boa
on bulging stomach
it rests
and closes its eyes
and sleeps

beside the fast
ferry
where i ride
are dolphins
accompanying
this
silent
merrymaking
of the mind

the eyes
look at them
still puzzled

quizzical
the heart
is still unaccepting
