At Your Expense
'A sense of common sense.'
'A funny mistake.'
Please go on.
Tell me is their more?
'A joke at your expense.'
'No harm intended.'
How can their be no harm if it's at my expense? '
'Well you see...'
'It just meant to cause laughter.'
I don't find it amusing.
And just who do you think you are?
'You can call me a friend.'
'I thought you knew that.'
Then why are you making fun of me?
'Because I love you.'

Going to Have Fun
I am going to have fun.
Even if it is done at your expense.
I had been the one,
Seeking sense when there was none.
And feeling betrayed,
As I withessed thoughtlessness displayed.
Oh, I am going to have fun.
You can consider that activity,
One already welcomed!
Yes...
I am going to have fun.
Even if it is done at your expense.
I had been the one,
Seeking sense when there was none.
And in these days lived,
I do not expect any to come.
Call it what you wish.
But I don't dish out negativity.
Nor do I accept it!

Fundamental of Liar Chapter CXXI: It doesn't mean any harm
It may be provocative
It may be disturbing
But it doesn't mean any harm
It may be rough
It may be emotional
But it doesn't mean any harm
It may be wild
It may be rebellious
But it doesn't mean any harm
It may go unplanned
It may look careless
But it doesn't mean any harm
It may be a nuisance
It may be a mistake
But it doesn't mean any harm
It may be a mess
It may be complicated
But it doesn't mean any harm
It may be slow progress
It may test the patience
But it doesn't mean any harm
It may be a hard blow
It may shake the faith
But it doesn't mean any harm
It may be cursed
It may be judged cruel
But it doesn't mean any harm

What is the harm of doing the right thing? What is the harm of doing our job as legislators and making sure we do not stick the entire bankruptcy community with these provisions that do not make any sense?

Wizards of Illusion
Common sense?
Those who are discovered with it,
Are rare.
And leaves those believing...
An ivy league school,
Is where one can get this.
At someone's foolish expense.
With a jealousy directed to a few...
Who obtain scholarships.
As if this promotes and bestows,
An advantage for others that does not exist.
But common sense goes unused,
Frequently...
By those trying to fit their feet...
In shoes too small,
And minds unprepared...
To explain how they are ever going to wear them!
And yet,
Many do manage to amaze shocked masses,
Who eventually become influenced by such trickery.
To the point where they find themselves,
Supporting such 'wizards' of illusion.

Satisfaction
Sharing s[w]eep[s]takes s[t]ates each sense
As in a magic meeting meant
To imprint a permanent
Inner impression, stamp intense
Satisfaction vast, immense.
Futile and irrelevant.
Appears defense as discontent
Can’t flourish under false pretense,
Turns Life’s joke at its own expense
In catharsis heaven sent, -
Osmosis as emotions pent
Now outpour in wonderment...

Satisfaction
Souls share as sweetness sweeps each sense
At last in magic meeting meant
To permeate a permanent
Imprint in the mind, immense
Satisfaction, deep, intense.
Futile and irrelevant
Are all defenses. Discontent
Can’t flourish under false pretense,
Turns Life’s joke at its expense
In a catharsis heaven sent, -
Osmosis as emotions pent
Now overflow with wonderment...

Laughing At Ourselves
Some people have this tenancy
to make others feel sad,
some even torment just
to make others get mad.
Little ole me
I like to brighten up
everyone’s day with laughter
by telling a joke or two,
because I feel that laughter
is the best medicine
to get rid of the blues.
The world can be a funny place
if you stop and look at it for a while.
Everything has its funny side,
even in the darkest day.
An incoherent message
that makes no sense at all
some would find funny
and end up curled up on the floor.
So whatever you are doing
look on the funny side of it
for nothing can be funnier
than laughing at ourselves.

Maybe the Economy Is On Your Mind
I will assist you,
But not at the cost of my own expense.
Why does this sound so familiar?
'Well...
If you don't mind me saying this.
But the last few times,
You just said...
At my own expense!
There was no cost involved.
Maybe the economy is on your mind? '
Is that your idea of a joke?
Your attempt to introduce comedic material,
At 'my' expense?
'Once again...
You changed what you've said.'
Forget it!
Can you hear that?
Petty motherfuhhhh...
'Yes...
I'm still within listening distance! '

Continue to Seek the Squeezing of Amusement
An absence of a definable consciousness,
Poses more of a threat...
Than suspected terrorists.
Especially to know that those who have obtained credentials,
With no evidence of common sense...
Are daily making decisions at 'our' expense.
And that is frightening to realize...
They have solicited and caused the decadence.
With a pride that is boasted,
And getting the attention relentlessly given to them.
Like someone who is 'roasted' but doesn't get the joke!
'Excuse me!
What was that Mister T? '
*I pity the fool.
I pity the fool.*
And we...
Yes you and me,
Continue to seek the squeezing of amusement from this.
As serious as our lives suspend on whimmed nonsense.
Existing on a brittle foundation.
And, in jeopardy.
As many laugh to find these observances 'cute'.

Hovering I Saw A Redbreast And A Wren (Roundelay)
Hovering I saw a redbreast and a wren,
who were both very scared of men
and to me both birds had some lovely charm,
as innocents to which I meant no harm.
Fluttering some cooing wild doves came down
making my small garden their very own
some pecked bread or landed on my arm,
as innocents to which I meant no harm.
Pecking some hoopoes landed in my yard
and the two of them was never apart,
fleeing in their scared heart throbbing alarm
as innocents to which I meant no harm.

When It Benefits To Pay Attention
I can quickly forgive and understand a child,
Who takes an escapade with a making a mistake...
At my expense.
I expect this from a child adventuring,
Out into the world to establish for themselves...
A building of their own common sense.
This I accept and expect.
With a patience in the beginning given.
And hoping in their minds something eventually connects.
However...
With the giving of circumstances and considering one's age,
There are stages of life when it benefits to pay attention.
And if one continues to disrespect others to neglect,
Difficult it becomes for me to repeatedly forgive and forget.
Especially when a doing is done,
Over and over and over by someone...
Who cruises through life making the same mistakes,
With new excuses easy to use refusing to face truth.

Brilliant Mistake
He thought he was the king of america
Where they pour coca cola just like vintage wine
Now I try hard not to become hysterical
But Im not sure if I am laughing or crying
I wish that I could push a button
And talk in the past and not the present tense
And watch this hurtin feeling disappear
Like it was common sense
It was a fine idea at the time
Now its a brilliant mistake
She said that she was working for the abc news
It was as much of the alphabet as she knew how to use
Her perfume was unspeakable
It lingered in the air
Like her artificial laughter
Her mementos of affairs
Oh I said I see you know him
Isnt that very fortunate for you
And she showed me his calling card
He came third or fourth and there were more than one or two
He was a fine idea at the time
Now hes a brilliant mistake
He thought he was the king of america
But it was just a boulevard of broken dreams
A trick they do with mirrors and with chemicals
The words of love in whispers
And the axe of love in screams
I wish that I could push a button
And talk in the past and not the present tense
And watch this lovin feeling disappear
Like it was common sense
I was a fine idea at the time
Now Im a brilliant mistake

When We Are Together
Oh I remember you said can I fight and breathe
So now I always always hold my breath you see
Youre my heaven youre my spaceman in your shiny shiny suit
Ill send up all my prayers and hope theyre understood
Love started making sense
I always make mistakes at my expense
Love has placed a seed
And youre the sun that shines down upon me
Yeh when we are together
And when we are apart
There is no space in our hearts
Ive got these feelings
Its been too long since Ive tried to take the time
So now Im fallin fallin into the sublime
When you brush against a stranger
And you both apologise
And when you see theres something you recognise
Love started making sense
I always make mistakes at my expense
Love has placed a seed
And youre the sun that shines down upon me
Yeh when we are together
And when we are apart
There is no space in our hearts
Ive got these feelings
Yeh when we are together
And when we are apart
There is no space in our hearts
Ive got these feelings
Yeh when we are together
And when we are apart
There is no space in our hearts
Ive got these feelings
Yeh when we are together
And when we are apart
There is no space in our hearts
Ive got these feelings
Yeh when we are together
And when we are apart
There is no space in our hearts
Ive got these feelings

Empathized But Sits
The buildup.
The hype.
The failure of it.
And the expense...
A numbing pain,
Does not admit!
A sorrow,
Empathized but sits.
In reflection,
Making sense of it!
But no sense of it...
Comes to soothe!
The buildup.
The hype.
The failure of it.
And the expense...
A numbing pain,
Does not admit!
A sorrow,
Empathized...
But sits.

Sonnet 2
my mind's eye from outer eye remove.
make senseless the argument of sense
that beauty not subject to sense prove
nor object to time that takes you hence.
then, mind from eye withdrawn,
in dark, sense may shine bright
and mind itself your beauty form,
forming mind to your illuminate.
but not thought's sense to hear
nor sense of mind in sense feel,
dimensional sight and intelligent ear
bereft of mind from mind would reel.
no war between your feature and form
exists except in eye - that does harm.

The Tiger
The tiger, on the other hand,
Is kittenish and mild,
And makes a pretty playfellow
For any little child.
And mothers of large families
(Who claim to common sense)
Will find a tiger well repays
The trouble and expense.

That Heartbreaking Mistake
There was I time I thought
When everything was good
That he loved me
I loved him
And things were how they should.
Until one day he decides
To tell my friend a lie
But tell me its a joke
That didnt make sense
And for some time
It made me tense
So I returned his necklace
Gave it to my friend
Who told him
The relationship came to an end
So he became confused
As I'm feeling used
And now I cannot say
If I should break up with him today
I used to think he cared
But does he now?
He doesnt show it anymore
But I wish I knew somehow
He'd rather talk to other people
Other than me
Because he used to call me
At every moment possibly
But now when he
Can only talk for so long
He calls another
So I must have done something wrong
But what?
I ask myself
I gave all of me
But that must not be
Enough for he
Its very painful
When you've held on to it for so long
And you think to yourself now
What did I do wrong?
If I knew like this
That it would end
Then I still wonder
Why did I let it begin?
If he knew
For my sake
Hopefully,
He wouldn't have made
That heartbreaking mistake

Leave It Open
With my ego in my gut,
My babbling mouth would wash it up.
(but now Ive started learning how,)
I keep it shut.
My door was never locked,
Until one day a trigger come cocking.
(but now Ive started learning how,)
I keep it shut.
Wide eyes would clean and dust
Things that decay, things that rust.
(but now Ive started learning how,)
I keep em shut.
I keep em shut.
Harm is in us.
Harm is in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us.
Harm in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us.
(leave it open!)
Harm is in us, but power to arm.
Narrow mind would persecute it,
Die a little to get to it.
(but now Ive started learning how.)
I leave it open.
I kept it in a cage,
Watched it weeping, but I made it stay.
(but now Ive started learning how.)
I leave it open.
I leave it open.
Harm is in us.
Harm in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us.
Harm in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us.
(leave it open!)
Harm in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us.
Harm in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us.
(leave it open!)
Harm in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us.
Harm in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us.
Har in us, but power to arm.
Harm is in us!
Harm is in us!
Harm is in us!
Harm is in us!
Harm is in us!
Harm is in us--
Harm in you and in me!
What you letting in?
Tell me what youre letting in.
Say what were gonna let in!
We let the weirdness in.
We let the weirdness in.
We let the weirdness in.
We let the weirdness in.
We let the weirdness in.

This Was Never Meant To Be
This was never meant to be,
All the signs were there to see,
From the first moment that we met, I knew,
This was never meant to be.
This was always doomed to fail,
From the moment we set sail,
All our instincts told us we were wrong,
This was never meant to be.
But soon we were enraptured in love's dance,
When the dance ended I found,
I couldn't live without you.
And now, all of my dreams are sad embers
Here in the cold of December,
And now you're in the arms of someone else,
I always knew that...
This was always second best,
Our love would fall at the first test,
Common sense would tell us we were wrong,
This was never meant to be.
This was never meant to last,
We drank our cup of love to fast,
From the first moment that we met, I knew,
Now Miss, from our first kiss,
I tell you this was never meant to be

Can We Give An Inch or Two
Can we give it more time,
To find...
It can be with us all worked out.
Can we give it more time,
To find...
It can be with us all worked out.
Can we give it more time,
To find...
It can be with us all worked out.
Can we...
Give an inch or two to make it stop.
All unnecessary stuff on our blocks.
Can we...
Make that difference and make it stick.
Can we...
Show more confidence and tolerance.
Can we...
Get off the fence and nurture common sense.
Can we...
Open the door at our expense.
If we don't...
It's never gonna git don'.
'Cause we wanna be bees but we ain't making honey!
Can we give it more time,
To find...
It can be with us all worked out.
And the money from the honey made by bees...
Is giving us the squeeze.
Can we...
Give an inch or two to make it stop.
Can we...
Stop unnecessary stuff on our blocks.
Can we...
Each other motivate without hate.
Can we...
Appreciate each other without debate.
Can we..
Arrive too early and not be late...
To witness the release,
From faking.
Can we...
Give an inch or two to make it stop,
From faking.
Can we...
Stop unnecessary stuff on our blocks,
From faking.
Can we...
Give an inch or two to make it stop.
Can we...
Stop unnecessary stuff on our blocks.
Can we...
Each other motivate without hate.
And faking.

Stop Trying to Find the Logic in Everything
The trouble with people feeding their greed,
And perceiving their feeding to hoard
To be an eternal process,
For themselves to be kept stored.
With no one else to profit from a process,
Not stopped.
Is...
Well,
One day to be revealed as preventable.
Even their selfish deeds must come to an end.
Whether or not...
They believe what has been available,
Has been diminished without the consciousness
Of their active input,
To keep what is missing their responsibilty
To nourish the flourishing that is obviously,
Absent from their purpose.
And those who live just to feed their greed,
Do not realize they place themselves in jeopardy.
Although they are not aware of this
Behind walls of a blocked isolation.
Perceived from a direction of its inception
To be an envied way a life.
Needing at their own expense to protect.
Even if that expense is aided by depending
On the discreet and secret borrowing from others.
'I thought you said 'they' were our enemies?
Them and they and those others? '
Who cares?
What is more important?
Impressing with our pretentions
Or being honest with ourselves?
'None of it makes any sense.'
When did the feeding of one's greed,
Ever made any sense?
Hmmm?
It is a standard that is valued.
We thrive on our pretentions!
Remember that.
Stop trying to find logic in everything.
