Creativity represents a miraculous coming together of the uninhibited energy of the child with it apparent opposite and enemy, the sense of order imposed on the disciplined adult intelligence.

Be a child-parent-adult
To the child, it is a day.
To the parent, it is a night.
To the adult both are inclusive.
The child lives in fantasy.
The parent lives in fallacy.
It is the adult that lives,
Where he is put, in ecstasy.
The child admires things.
The parent criticizes them.
The adult realizes them.
The child appreciates.
The parent deprecates.
The adult rationalizes.
The poet is the child in man.
The priest is the parent in man.
The logician is the adult in man.
Live a child to be youthful.
Live a parent to be awesome.
Live an adult to be credible.

In Spain, we should have enough intelligence, enough sense of individual and collective responsibility to do for ourselves that which would be imposed upon us by a dictatorship.

An adult is still a child
A child imitates its mother with air.
An adult imitates models to seem fair.
A child imagines a child in a doll
And enjoys tending it with fantasy.
An adult imagines some ones in his
And experience bliss in fantasy.
A child fears and pretends ignorance.
An adult dreads and pretends innocence.
Though old, still a child, I amuse myself
Though wise, still a child, I fool myself.

Gender determination
‘Is this a man or a woman? ’
asked a child the other,
pointing to a nude picture.
‘How can I, no dress? ’
answered the other child.
‘Is this a male or a female? ’
asked an adult the other,
pointing to a clothed child.
‘How can I, it’s dressed.”
Answered the other adult.
Child decides by clothes.
Adult confirms without cloth

To Negotiate
Can those of obvious intelligence,
Come to ever compose themselves to negotiate...
With those who have imposed on others,
Incompetent qualities never to represent leadership.
With a showing that is done effectively.
But effectively they have proven to be imbeciles.
Can those of obvious intelligence,
Come to ever compose themselves to negotiate...
With those who have imposed on others,
Incompetent qualities never to represent leadership.
And 'if' this incompetence is what people insist is needed...
Why should those of intelligence,
Bother to bog themselves down with such overwhelming...
And accepting ignorance.

Shield and sword
Each one is endowed with intelligence
and energy.
Intelligence abundant, one stays safe.
Energy abundant, one grows powerful.
One is a shield and the other, a sward.

What Else Do You Offer?
And?
Okay!
So...
You discovered I have a sense,
Of intelligence.
And you believe I am here to be used,
Exclusively as your intstrument.
But that will not happen.
Today you speak of encouraging,
And establishing relationships.
But everything you've done,
Has been the opposite of it!
I came to you wishing to do the same thing.
But you assessed me then as having...
Nothing to the table to bring.
To heighten your visuals.
But not only can I build tables.
I also can cook and clean.
I know how to use a mop and sweep.
Taking out the trash and washing dishes...
Are extremely important to me.
I can wear a suit and tie.
And give an image that is impressive.
But I prefer to keep it basic.
Since I don't masquerade or charade,
For the attention that it brings.
That kind of life I do not satiate.
And you?
Are much too pretentious.
And?
Well...
Okay!
So...
You discovered I have a sense,
Of intelligence.
And you believe I am here to be used,
Exclusively as your instrument.
Now that you know this...
This 'intelligence' that drops your lips.
You are funny!
What else do you offer?
Since what you propose,
Would never satisfy...
An integrity I pride!
Hurry up,
Make it quick.
I have a walk to take.
And Mother Nature to visit!

Clarity is what I see
Serenity, a distant lake, calm tranquillity
Curiosity of the known, viverance for the unknown
Love of life seen through shades of slightly tinted foresight
Honor, Trust and respect, the fortitude of an angels step
Ability to be, well beyond what the true beauty sees
Simplicity in things of learning, complexity in yearning
Wild side apparent, a deep, undying-love and honor transparent
As a child, only in the sense of honesty and sincerity
Adolescent in the means of self-fulfilling accomplishment
From head to toe travels an energy that very few know
Energy known as Karma or soul but honesty says a heart of gold

Essence Of Sense Of Humor
It’s the rarest of the commodities
It’s a gift possessed by few
Yes I’m talking about sense of humor
It has an essence that’s absolutely new
People having this rarest quality
Can turn the things all upside down
Making a mockery of most serious cases
They would hardly let you frown
That’s the color it brings to life
That’s the essence of sense of humor
The energy it brings to others and self
Is way beyond all jokes and rumor
You can master the circumstances
You can nullify the negativity
You need not be a professional
It’s only a matter of creativity
It diffuses the negative energy
And infuses the positive
It gives us a new direction
To be a little more sensitive
All tears can turn to smiles
With a small pinch of humor
People will remember you forever
That’s the essence of sense of humor.

Give a Child...
Proudly for Seth ~ Ryan who graduated as
an Aerospace Engineer last week!
Give a child a great education
You give them the world
Give a child science and math
You give them access
Give a child a sense of wonder
You give them joy
Give a child poetry, paint, l.e.d.s, aluminum foil and sparkles
You give them creativity
Give a child accountability
You give them integrity
Give a child an understanding of spirit
You give them faith
Give a child an entire community
You give them responsilbility
Give a child your undivided time
You give them security
Give a child a life by example
You give them the map for success
Give a child hugs
You give them love!

Baby vs Adult
Baby is dumb
Adult has wisdom
Babies are small and crawl
Adults are tall and fall
Baby demands
Adult commands
Baby yearns to walk
Adult learns to work
Baby weeps
Adult sleeps
You carry a baby
You marry an adult
Baby chokes
Adult smokes
Baby stays at home to play
Adult brings home the pay
Baby cries
Adult sighs
Baby spikes milk
Adults like silk
And I saved this for the last
Baby at birth
Adult at death
Baby vs Adult becomes a thing of the past

Our system is the height of absurdity, since we treat the culprit both as a child, so as to have the right to punish him, and as an adult, in order to deny him consolation.

That's What I Said
No!
I have been misquoted.
And frankly...
I am getting sick and tired of it.
I did not say you lacked intelligence.
What I said was...
'How can an imbecile masquerade as a fool.
And have the I.Q. of a grapefruit! '
That's what I said 'verbatim'.
I did not mention anything,
About you lacking intelligence.
Nor that you were waiting for an order,
You placed to be filled online.
But,
It has been delayed.
Another misquote attributed to me.
If I thought you had any intelligence at all,
I'd be the first to tell you that.

A difficult moment
It is difficult movement
Leading to critical moment
No readiness for slight improvement
Bad feelers always sent
The divided house represents disunity
Patches all over with complete deformity
Not at all presenting a nice picture
Everything in shambles with no future
Think of moment for coming together
Combination of good energy altogether
Concentration of energy in positive direction
Combined efforts for concerted action
Can’t be found like any other parallel
Together it may present and excel
A different story altogether to tell
Everything then may go well

Bitterness and Others
this is your bitterness
that wants to be set free
that wants you to know, to seek
to have the freedom of curiosity
this is your enemy
that keeps love away
this is your loneliness
this is your bitterness
mixed together
weaving a cocoon, that would
rather be a colorful butterfly
a frail child that would rather be an adult
wondering what responsibility is like
wondering what love is like
this is your self loathing
tied to hundreds of memories
tied to thousands of images
murky in your heart
dwelling in your mind
an adult
who feels his innocence lost
who reads of Bacchus
and Nietzsche
wondering how a deaf man could write
could possibly imagine
an Ode to Joy
curiosity asks
what if i grow old
and my friends start dying
and i lose my freedom of movement
as i sit and regret 50 plus years of my life
and presently have too much to sort out and weep about
i asked her
do you think it is others who form your image
of yourself
do you think they play a part in your
'self loathing'
do you believe in a true self
such as, a self that can be found
after a 'spiritual journey'
or something that can be realized
after you do a lot of soul searching?
i didn't tell her my thoughts
but i like the line in the movie 'memento'
'we all need mirrors once in a while to
remind us of who we are.'
it's impossible to define yourself
without echoing off of others
the mind needs comparison and contrast;
difference and variety
she never asks for my opinion
which i suppose isn't a bad thing
maybe she doesn't trust me
the ode to joy
beethoven's symphony was in four parts
2 were agitated, stressful
the third was beautiful and calm,
and then the fourth
it took little parts from each of these
played them, and then tossed them aside
it denied them
but then it offered something new in its place:
joy, new sounds,
taking the previous pieces and then creating something new
i think thats a good definition of creativity
taking what you have and using it differently
redefining it
and questioning boundaries
and this is revenge
'for what you did to me' you say
'this is what you deserve'
and 'you're asking for it'
such words
coming from a child
trapped, caged in the body of a man
curiosity asks me
what can i do for my old former teacher
one of our favorites
what is his age
how is his health
when will he
die
what should i do
