It destroys the soul to hear that you're all hype, that you have no talent, and that your whole career has been contrived.

Believe The Hype
Often I find myself saying what I do not believe
The kind of words that hang in the air, they do not leave
I say things until they sound true
Until I have the guts to see them through
When I say I will do, it means I can't do
Not yet, I need to ready my heart for them too
Although it is mere hype
Empty words, I still find them necessary to psyche
Myself out so that I can do what I long and fear
To do, I speak of going somewhere else, because I don't like here
But it is not others whom I say this for I need to hear
I need to hear it
It may sound empty now, but you best
Believe this hype, for me it is a test
For my soul and I am a man of my word
Even if for now it is just hype, just some hype you've heard

I Know What I Want
Bring the beat back don't believe to hype
Bring the beat back don't believe to hype
Bring the beat back don't believe to hype
Its a jam and I do what I like
Listen to my voice and start to dance
I promise you this will advance
I am back with my line and I started to climb
Welcome to the jam I am rocking again
From my mind and my heart to your body and your feet
I know what you want its that beat from the street
Mr. DJ put the jam up
Pump it up to the night is done
Lets go down, down to they underground
I am kicking your back Bobo is in town
It's a jam and I do what I like
Bring the beat back don't believe to hype
You have your bass in the place together as one
Try to run then you gonna have fun
I know what you want and you want it now
I know what you want when you hear the sound
I know what I want, and I want it now
I know what I want, when I hear the sound
I know what I want, and I want it now
I know what I want, when I hear the sound
Everything's alright, alright
And the feel makes me blind
I know what I want, and I want it now
I know what I want, when I hear the sound
I know what I want
I know what I want
If you try to be you got to be a king
And give the world you are everything
I'm not the greatest dancer with the fastest tunes
I'm not the fastest rapper that you ever knew
But wait it sounds like a mystery
But no one knows who you really wanna be
Deep in the night i bring you delight
And leave all the troubles by your side

Nature Destroys Nature
Nature destroys Nature in storms and earthquakes
Man destroys man on the battlefield
And man destroys Nature because of the blood that they shed
Sinks, to the center of the Earth
Man destroys Nature far more worse
Than Nature destroys it’s self
Therefore we must do
What we can
To save Nature
Before it’s completely destroyed
And therefore,
Leaving us with nothing to cherish.

Hidden Talent
Written by gerry beckley, 1998
Found on human nature.
Just like a person from another world
My eyes can see inside you, little girl
I see things that you dont want to see
I see things youre trying to hide from me
Im just trying to make you understand
All the ways you can affect this man
From the moment that you came in touch
With the power there to burn so much
Youve got hidden talent (yeah)
I bet youre gonna find some hidden talent, oh
You know your past is whats been bugging you
If youre ready girl ... do what you gotta do
Look for your life between the lines
Bad directions and poor designs
Youve got hidden talent (hidden talent, yeah)
I bet youre gonna find some hidden talent, oh
Hidden talent (hidden talent, yeah)
Check it out you ... got it, hidden talent, oh
With the advantage of perspective i
See theres more to you than meets the eye
But now the time must come to spread your wings and fly
Yeah (hidden talent) yeah
Hidden talent (hidden talent, yeah)
I bet youre gonna find some hidden talent, oh
Hidden talent (hidden talent, yeah)
Check it out ... you got it, hidden talent, oh
Hidden talent (hidden talent, yeah)
Affair without warning
Hidden talent, mmm (mmm)
Hidden talent (hidden talent, yeah)
I bet youre gonna find some hidden talent, oh
(fade)

Your job is not your career
I responsible to my job, I fight for my career
I bound to job, I grow with career
Job is described, career is developed
Job is fulfilled, career is achieved
Job is for living, career is for life

Prozac
Stop as I drop this bomb
Blow up this place like another vietnam
Im heavy like a holyfield blow to the dome
Back up son, now give me room, give me room
I set it off like this, dont give it up (uh)
Im all up in you till you just cant get enough
Im real hard to the bone you want more
I sneak up on you like a sniper at your back door
Phat flavor for your brain you know the time
So check the wrath its for real cause Im gonna get mine
I roll up on you like eastwood
Im blowing up fifteens as Im riding through your neighborhood
I spreads butter like parkay
Real smooth with the flow and even when I parlay
Do what you feel and check the skill
Im in your grill, peep this - I got the raw deal
And in your jeep cherokee or land cruiser
When youre rolling through the hood I know youre gonna use a
Track like this all up in your eardrum
So pump the e.q. and let the speakers hum
We gets crazy like prozac
Hype enough to start a party and illy have a heart attack
We gets crazy like prozac
Hype enough to start a party and illy have a heart attack
We gets crazy like prozac
Hype enough to start a party and illy have a heart attack
We gets crazy like prozac
Hype enough to start a party and illy have a heart attack
Go and check it I think its time to wreck it
Here I come again with my stuff, so lets test it
Im cool like the ice, or vanilla, hear my flavor
Freezin up the mic, I hit you with somethin you can savor
No slippin, no stonein, I am gettin to the point
So hit the mad ism and light another joint
The easy like stylist with a kick when Im kicking
No tripping, Im hitting, so get a good grip in
Get with a style I be using, and theres no dissin
And heres a quick lesson - I carry a smith and wesson
Listen up close and therell be no confusion
Now youre addicted to mentally abusing
Word to the mother Im hear to tear it up
And if you cant get with it, I dont give a fu_k
So run to your crew and tell them I am hear
This here is for the people
We gets crazy like prozac

Hate Destroys
Hate destroys
The one that births it
It robs one of joy
and peace, forfeit.
Hate destroys
A chance to forgive
Its claws employs
The heart to grieve.
Hate destroys
The people around
Creates a ploy
As conflict abounds.

Formula
A formula has been contrived for our benefit,
Once more the divisions can keep,
Reasons are for living, ones to admit.
May defenders arrive too early to befit,
A new religion contacts us asleep,
A formula has been contrived for our benefit.
What do we control when we backbit?
The whole collision concerns the cheap,
Reasons are for living, ones to admit.
Mastering our language is needed to baby-sit,
The adult who does this is no barkeep,
A formula has been contrived for our benefit.
Strange honesty is at the bottom of the bandit,
He who claims divinity, loving us so deep,
Reasons are for living, ones to admit.
Studying behaviour relies on the fit,
A man studies for the books to heap,
Reasons are for living, ones to admit,
A formula has been contrived for our benefit.

Eulogy For Michael Jackson
All of the glory, all of the fame
everybody knew his name.
But they did not know what made him tick.
And they did not know how it made him sick.
Inside the body that housed his soul
were shades of darkness that accompanied his role.
The vibrancy and talent of all he could do
was a gift that only comes to a few.
But the gift must be nourished and never abused
or it turns into a curse that becomes misused
by all of the parasitic leeches who prey
on a talent like Michael's every single day.
And in the final words that are said
He, my friends was already dead.
Dead in his spirit, dead in his mind
only alive in those who could find
the rarity of talent that captured their heart,
the oneness with God that flowed through his art.
What they will remember is what they did see.
What they'll forget is 'Who was he? '
A tortured soul
who's now at rest.

The Climber -MAREA JOHNSON
i ran across a poet who has a style just like me.
her first five poems that you read
will show you what i mean.
she has a talent which will touch everyones
mind and soul.
she is the one, that in my dreams i was told.
she has a unique talent, and a flair all her own
she puts words together that will touch the coldest soul.
she will write stories that will be beyond compare
that is when- her poems she will share.
keep your eyes open and listen to what
she has to say.
for her poetry will definitly blow you away.
