The short English miles are delightful for walking. You are always pleased to find, every now and then, in how short a time you have walked a mile, though, no doubt, a mile is everywhere a mile, I walk but a moderate pace, and can accomplish four English miles in an hour.

I'd Sure Hate To Break Down Here
Mile marker 2003
The gas gauge leaning on the edge of 'E'
And i'll be danged if the rain aint pourin' down
Somethings smokin' underneath the hood
Theres a bangin' and a clangin' and it cant be good
And it's another 50 miles to the nearest town
Everything I own's in the back in a Hefty bag
Imm out of cigarettes and Im down to my last drag
Chorus:
I'd sure hate to break down here
Nothin' up ahead or in the rearview mirror
Out in the middle of nowhere knowin'
So God help me keep me movin' somewhere
Dont let me start wishin' I was with her now
Ive made it this far without cyin' a single tear
And i'd sure hate to break down here
A hundred fifty thousand miles ago
Before the bad blood and busted radio
You said I was all you'd ever need
But love is blind and little did i know
That you were just another dead-end road
Paved with pretty lies and broken dreams
Baby, leaving you was easier than being gone
Don't know what i'll do if one more thing goes wrong
(repeat chorus twice)
Its too late to turn around
I'd sure hate to break down here

I want you to come prepared, ohhh yeah (oh yes)
Boy it's been a long time, a crazy long time
And i don't want no minute man, and that's real

Get your +independent+ ass out of here - question?

Like i'm roberto duran.. no mas
Six a.m. another chick in the house (put your hands up)
6:15 another chick kicked you out (put your hands up)
Spend one minute tryin to dig her out
The other fourteen tryin to "put it in her mouth"
The dick too chubby, too much'll make you love me
Now be a nice wifey and run home to your hubby
Cause we, both knowin what we doin is wrong
Don't forget to put your ring back on {*quiet laughter*}

Last Week
Oh, the new-chum went to the backblock run,
But he should have gone there last week.
He tramped ten miles with a loaded gun,
But of turkey of duck saw never a one,
For he should have been there last week,
They said,
There were flocks of 'em there last week.
He wended his way to a waterfall,
And he should have gone there last week.
He carried a camera, legs and all,
But the day was hot and the stream was small,
For he should have gone there last week,
They said,
They drowned a man there last week.
He went for a drive, and he made a start,
Which should have been made last week,
For the old horse died of a broken heart;
So he footed it home and he dragged the cart --
But the horse was all right last week,
They said,
He trotted a match last week.
So he asked all the bushies who came from afar
To visit the town last week
If the'd dine with him, and they said "Hurrah!"
But there wasn't a drop in the whisky jar --
You should have been here last week,
He said,
I drank it all up last week!

Expect Your ………….You!
Expect your friend to be not better than you;
Expect your neighbor to not forgive you;
Expect your country not to goad you;
Expect your siblings to but discourage you;
Expect your children to not care for you;
Expect your spouse to rather hinder you;
Expect your love to always forget you;
Expect your home sometimes to ignore you;
Expect your native place to not honor you;
Expect the world to disregard you;
Expect your enemy to well hate you;
Expect your Maker to much love you;
Expect your God to never forsake you;
Expect your Lord and God to never abandon you.

Minute By Minute (Dobbie Brothers)
(Michael McDonaldLester Abrams)
Hey, don't worry, I've been lied to
I've been here many times before
Girl, don't you worry, I know where I stand
I don't need this love, I don't need your hand
I know I could turn, blink, and you'd be gone
Then I must be prepared any time to carry on
But minute by minute by minute by minute
I keep holding on
Oh, minute by minute by minute by minute
I keep holding on
You will stay just to watch me, darlin'
Wilt away on lies from you
Can't stop the habit of livin' on the run
I take it all for granted like you're the only one
Livin' on my own
Somehow that sounds nice
You think I'm your fool
Well, you may just be right
'Cause minute by minute by minute by minute
I keep holding on
Oh, minute by minute by minute by minute
I keep holding on
Call my name and I'll be gone
You'll reach out and I won't be there
Just my luck you'll realize
You should spend your life with someone
You could spend your life with someone
Minute by minute by minute by minute
I'll be holding on
Oh, minute by minute by minute by minute
I'll be holding on...

Counting Every Minute
Gonna break these chains
Gonna set myself free
Gonna turn on the mains
Feel the power inside of me
Gonna burn all night--gonna burn all day
Youll see me coming
From miles away
Feel me in the air
Feel me all around you
Gonna show you how I care
Teach you something new
Im gonna take my time
Make love to you
Yeah I know I can satisfy you
Thats what I intend to do
Now Im counting every minute
Every single minute
Im calling for you, honey
Come and get it while its hot
Counting every minute
Ooh Im living it
Ill make every minute count
Give it everything Ive got
Feel me getting closer
Im almost there
Can you fell my fingers
Running through your hair
Can you feel my hands
Draw you closer to me
Can you hear that clock tick, tick, ticking baby
Ill soon be there to set you free
Im counting every minute
Every single minute
Dont fool around come and
Get it while its hot
Counting every minute
Ooh Im living in it
Ill make every minute count
Give it everything Ive got
Counting every minute
Every single minute
Im calling for you, honey
Come and get it while its hot
Counting every minute
Ooh Im gonna give it
Ill give it to you honey
Ill give you everything
Ive got
Yeah Im counting every minute
Every single minute
Dont fool around come and
Get it while its hot
Counting every minute
Baby dont be timid
Ill make every minute count
Give it everything Ive got
Counting every minute
Counting every minute
Counting every minute
Im calling for you honey
Come and get it while
Its hot
Im counting
Every single minute
Im waiting for you baby
Give you everything Ive got

With every step we take
Twenty miles, then twenty miles,
then twenty miles again.
We’ll keep on walking, day by day,
towards breast cancer’s end.
With every step, with every stair,
We train to walk this path
To raise the funds to fight the beast
And consign it to the past..
It will be hot, It may be wet
As we traverse the miles
and when we rest, beneath the stars,
We’ll sleep like stones awhile
With every step, with every mile
We’re walking towards a cure
And we would walk a thousand miles
To end its’ reign for sure..
If not in time for one we loved
Perhaps in time for others-
So many suffer scars or worse
where death’s dark angel hovers.
Twenty miles, then twenty miles,
then twenty miles again.
We’ll keep on walking, day by day,
towards breast cancer’s end.

Break On Through
You know the day destroys the night
Night divides the day
Tried to run
Tried to hide
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side, yeah
We chased our pleasures here
Dug our treasures there
But can you still recall
The time we cried
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Yeah!
C'mon, yeah
Everybody loves my baby
Everybody loves my baby
She get
She get
She get
She get high
I found an island in your arms
Country in your eyes
Arms that chain us
Eyes that lie
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Break on through, oww!
Oh, yeah!
Made the scene
Week to week
Day to day
Hour to hour
The gate is straight
Deep and wide
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Break on through
Break on through
Break on through
Break on through
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

I Can See For Miles
I know youve deceived me, now heres a surprise
I know that you have cause theres magic in my eyes
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah
If you think that I dont know about the little tricks youve played
And never see you when deliberately you put things in my way
Well, heres a poke at you
Youre gonna choke on it too
Youre gonna lose that smile
Beacuse all the while
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah
You took advantage of my trust in you when I was so far away
I saw you holding lots of other guys and now youve got the nerve to say
That you still want me
Well, thats as may be
But you gotta stand trial
Because all the while
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah
I know youve deceived me, now heres a surprise
I know that you have cause theres magic in my eyes
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah
The eiffel tower and the taj mahal are mine to see on clear days
You thought that I would need a crystal ball to see right through the haze
Well, heres a poke at you
Youre gonna choke on it too
Youre gonna lose that smile
Beacuse all the while
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
And miles and miles and miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles
I can see for miles and miles

Pacific Highway
Tryin to make it back
To my old home town
Ive been driving since
The break of dawn
Got a feeling like a fever
Burning in my brain
When I see her
Itll be all gone
Pacific highway
Getting nearer now
And I feel like
The dream is coming true
Pacific highway
Getting closer now
I dont need directions
To find my way back to you
Take another turning
On the old creek road
Making sure I dont get lost
Im hoping to hell
My tacos reading right
Get ahead no matter
What the cost
Tryin to take it easy
On the old home stretch
But city limits come into sight
Im getting ready for my betty
God how I missed that girl
Were rock-n-rollin
Through the night
I dont need directions
To find my way back to you
I only got five more miles, yeah
Only four more miles, yeah
I only got three miles, two miles
One mile to go

Getting Closer
Written: stock aitken waterman
1:
You caught my eye
Im looking at you baby
The way you let your body move me
You look so fine
Come a little closer
I know that we can do it
I feel that we can make it
I feel you getting closer
Minute by minute by minute
Ohh-ohh
Chorus:
Day by day and night by night
I feel you getting closer
Bit by bit and move by move
I feel you getting closer
Minute by minute (by minute)
2:
If you were mine
Id never want another
cause youre doing something to me
If it takes all night
For us to be together
Youre love is worth the waiting
I feel it growing stronger
I feel know its getting closer

Expect More
Expect more,
From yourself...
Before your self respect,
becomes enclosed
Behind shut doors.
Expect more,
Not less.
When your best,
Has been ignored.
Expect more,
Or you'll be next...
Left when your intentions,
Begin to bore.
Expect more,
From those awake.
But the exchange makes them snore.
Expect more,
If a game played becomes too straight.
And you must be that whore!
To gain the attention,
Some express you adore.
Expect more...
From them and yourself to win.
In this life expect more.
Don't accept what is suspected.
Don't throw tantrums and fits...
Just to keep limits explored!
Expect more!

Walls Of Silence
Refrain:
If we never gonna break the silence (break the walls),
If we break the silence anyway
We never gonna make it for sure, we wanna break through
Distrust
Wanna get what we fought for
We give up, we give in, never give it away (hey, hey)
Polticians:
Ihr erklrt euch uns in dimensionen
Die nie - niemals in unseren seelen wohnen
But you, ihr erkennt wir werden
We realised that well never never fight it at all- no more
Politicians, seid ihr
Seid ihr weise
Seid so auf eure strange art und weise weise
If we go out trying to break the chains
Refrain:
Cause well have to break the walls of silence
Well have to break the walls of emptiness
Say what
All the presidents wait a minute
We would love to wait, to wait a minute
All the presidents wait a minute,
Forget the button and wait a minute
Cause the world is standing still it is love
And we are breaking the wall of silence
We try to break the walls again
We go straight to the heart of 5 billion friends
If we should have a last one try- we would try
And we are breakin the walls of silence

Break On Through
Eddie Vedder with The Doors)
Day destroys the night...night divides the day...
Tried to run, tried to hide...
Break on through to the other side... (3x)
Yeah...
We chased our troubles there, dug our treasures there...
Can you still recall the time we cried?
Break on through to the other side... (2x)
Yeah...
Dead cat, a dead rat
Did you see where they were at?
Dead cat, doll path
Did you see where they were at?
Everybody loves my baby...everybody does my baby...
She gets... (4x)
Hot...ahh, yeah...
Found an island in your arms...country in your eyes...
Arms that train us, arms that lie...
Break on through to the other side... (2x)
Break on...yeah...
Wait to see...week to week...day to day...hour to hour...
Pain is great, deep and wide...
Break on through to the other side... (2x)
Break on through... (4x)
Yeah... (9x

Dug our trea there

End Of The Week
I get out of work
And then I throw away all of my cares
I get out of work
And then I wash the week out my hair
Monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday
Its hard as could be
But by old friday evening
Were free, were free, were free
End of the week
The weekend started
Been working so hard to play
End of the week
Its time to party
End of the week
End of the week
End of the week
Youre tasting freedom
No one to push you around
End of the week
And life has a reason
End of the week
End of the week
End of the week
Street are alive
You know everybodys going somewhere
You put on the slide
You gotta beat the crowd just everywhere
And all the music all the dancing
Get you so high
And all that sweet romancing
Oh my, oh my, oh my
End of the week
The weekend started
Working so hard to play
End of the week
Its time to party
End of the week
End of the week
End of the week
Feels good now
Feels good now
End of the week
End of the week
Its real good now
Real good now
End of the week
End of the week
End of the week
