The proposition of an established classification of states as slave states and free states, as insisted on by some, and into northern and southern, as maintained by others, seems to me purely imaginary, and of course the supposed equilibrium of those classes a mere conceit.

It was no Insurrection or Rebellion, or even Civil War in any proper sense of these terms... The war... was a war between States regularly organized into two separate Federal Republics... In the beginning, and throughout the contest, the object of the 'Confederates' was to maintain the separate Sovereignty of each State, and the right of self-government, which that necessarily carries with it. The object of the 'Federals,' on the contrary, was to maintain a Centralized Sovereignty over all the States on both sides. This was the fundamental principle involved in the Conflict, which must be kept continually in mind.

A matter of choice for M'Lady Indira

Some take their writing seriously
Whilst others are just dilettantes
Though my muse states imperiously,
that I must write the way she wants

The duties writers undertake
are manifold and various.
They have to write make no mistake
on subjects light or serious.

They know it is their duty to
deflate the self important fools.
Who in their ignorance pursue
a vain attempt to scrap all rules.

Discard the lessons of the past.
Insisting anything will do.
A fashion I am sure wont last
when readers can compare it to.

Fine verse that stood the test of time.
The glories of formality
by masters of meter and rhyme.
Which they left for posterity.

Though I concede all have the right,
to write in any way they choose.
To some free form is sheer delight.
All down to taste I must suppose.

If we must all agree, all work together, we're no better than a machine. If an individual can't work in solidarity with his fellows, it's his duty to work alone. His duty and his right. We have been denying people that right. We've been saying, more and more often, you must work with the others, you must accept the rule of the majority. But any rule is tyranny. The duty of the individual is to accept no rule, to be the initiator of his own acts, to be responsible. Only if he does so will the society live, and change, and adapt, and survive. We are not subjects of a State founded upon law, but members of a society founded upon revolution. Revolution is our obligation: our hope of evolution.

I say'no

I would say “I don’t know”
For any of the science or computer query “no”
They will look at my face and pose another question
I will call them near and peacefully mention

The world has moved very fast
The children have no end to last
You can’t answer to their questions
As we are ignorant about its solutions

We were confined to simple mathematics
There was no word like advance statistics
Algebra and trigonometry were totally new subjects
Life was suddenly changing very fast in fact

Russians had just put a sputnik in the space
There after started the real competition or race
Some of the subjects were added in syllabus
There after it was new adventure in science after Columbus

Today you see the weight of books carried by students
Small children are heavily laden with contents
Of course they as smart as adult person of our age
We feel poor animal in recent times confined in the cage

They are very much prone to new subjects
They pick up easily and arrive at concluding act
They will show anxiety in knowing something more
I will silently withdraw in corner and deplore

Many people might be feeling really unlucky
To have heard about improvement in latest technology
Yet it is reality and we got to confirm our backwardness
World has really changed and come out with altogether new face

If children feel superior to us then credit goes to education
It is moral boosting for them to have witnessed such an elevation
Everything thing is available in mini sized computer
They need no one for help such as expert tutor

I feel greatly relieved to know about their progress
They are independent now and have full access
They can augment their knowledge form external source
Parents are not worried not to know more and exert the force
