One of my grandsons used to insist, when he was only 3 or 4, that he had been born and had lived in India.

Looking for a guru such a decision

Born To Die

Just a baby
On a doorstep
Its how they found me
Cold and hungry
Raised on hatred
Fed by strangers
As a young girl
I often wondered
Am I born to die
Never having lived
Am I born to die
Without love
In my life
People push me
Knock me down
My foster parents
Kicked me around
They brought me up on
Loneliness
I never had me
A single friend
Am I born to die
Never having lived
Am I born to die
Without love
In my life
Must be someone
In this world
Who can save me
From myself
Or am I born to die
Never having lived
Am I born to die
Without love
In my life
Am I born to die
Never having lived
Am I born to die
Without love
In my life

India What Will You Teach This World?

India a continent old trade vast
India rich in philosophy religions
India steeped in ancient traditions
India a wealth of diverse cultures
India wisdom weeps crosses centuries

India you are supposed to be proud
India you are supposed to share
India your heritage with lost world
India you are supposed to share
Wisdom a covet west has forsaken

God sometimes grants your prayer to punish you....

do not insist. God has a way of punishing
your unreasonable widow
persistence, the Greeks are warned
about Wooden Horses,
and Achilles' heels,
do not insist. Don't you know that sometimes
God grants prayers
purposely to punish
those who are hardheaded?
Pray what God wills you to be.
Do not insist.
God knows better
Before you were born
He knows what is in store for you
Till the last
breath. Till you dropp dead.
So do not insist
Natural laws cannot be compromised.
Legal laws maybe.
Man made ones, those that twist
and pride on
Compromises.

Do not insist. Let God flow inside your
Heart. Let the seeds grow
As he sets the fertile soil
of the mind
As he gives the light in your
Sun.
As he prunes and cuts
and Makes you
The most beautiful tree
within the forest of your tangled
hairs.

Observed But Unbelieved

We are taught...
A way of life is only acceptable,
If it is lived from our point of view!
Although our values are flawed,
And we are awed by conflict.
...with a touch of war and self-obsession.
Our abilities to reflect,
How we expect to be treated...
Falls short of our actions,
Observed but unbelieved!
Hypocrisies are a given...
As empathy is shown,
In many charitable ways!
And this we insist to be,
A factor well known!
Grace upon the arrival of each day.
And blessed we are,
To inflict this advantage!
However...
There is a self-righteousness,
In the standards we embrace.
And we are unable to face,
A divisiveness that splits and stays!
Although a wholesomeness about it,
Is daily portrayed as we employ our joys...
By a propaganda marketed without delay!
With the best of subliminal injections.
Leaving nonconformists much annoyed!
And this we insist is diplomacy,
If understood...
How it could and should be convinced,
In movements actually lived!

The Gandhihood....

You gave us a simple man, full of kindness
humblest and with godly bless

not a lord
owning his own soul like power
you like us, we poorest of poor
the real Indians..........

we like you Bapu, you only know us....
(they not know us... we are really Indians..)
the father of poorest of poor
the light still delight us...Bapu.....

and then we have many 'gandhees'
but the Indira we loved her
a worthy heir of a ablest leader
Blooded to the battle
Born to for fight
Sowed the pride in our soul nation
Not to thrill of the fight

To die for a cause
Honour and the great glory
To win without a great life

lived for India.......

the great Rajiv...
the' new' India wants glory.....
he made a new vision for this nation

and Sonia the mother....
without a power
but all these great sacrificing.....

Pride and bright

India is extraterrestrial music
Music of India is for globe wide

I am proud to be Indian
Serve my country to strengthen
Ties with globe far and wide
To the height of sky blue
I Love my India

Motherland of beauty -India
Visit once life time
Feel the love of Indians
Charming guys and pretty ladies
Scrolling down the valley

Life of freedom to it imagination
Imagination of love and joy
Experience of India is unforgettable

Minute round words of magical glow
I love your India chanting by you
Oh...Yes … I love my India - Jai Hind

Bharat Versus India

India that is Bharat
Is not same as
Bharat that is India.

Bharat no more with India
India no more with Bharat
India can not substitute Bharat.

I am insearch of Bharat
And Bharat is no more with me.
I am an Indian
And I am proud to be an Indian.

Alas!

Alone

Alone! I was in my mother 's womb
Alone! I grew in neglected tomb
All alone
I have been on my own
Alone! the world seem to be a kingdom
Alone! Everyone wants freedom
Just alone! everyone with his responsibility
All alone! ''proud'' is every community
Alone! I have no youth
Alone! I had no root
Alone! No one will survived on their own
Being alone! you will just die alone
I was born alone
You were not born alone
I have lived half alone
You have never lived alone
Alone! do you think you are free?
Alone! I will never want to be
All alone! You are still not alone
Alone! You are with misery in your bone
Alone! on our own
It when we will walk the miles to home

India

(to Sumit Chakrabarty)
India is not just India, even from before I was born,
India has been my history.
My history, carved into two by daggers of animosity and hatred, running breathlessly towards uncertain possibilities,
with the terrible crack at the core,
History bloodstained, history turned death.
It is this India that has given me language,
Has enriched me with culture
And powerful dreams.
This India can, if it so desires, snatch
My history away from my life,
My homeland from my dream.
But why should I let it drain me dry only because it so desires?
Hasn't India brought forth those noble souls,
Who place their hands today on my tired shoulders,
On the abandoned shoulders of this helpless, orphaned soul?
These hands, longer than the land, stretched beyond space and time,
Gives me warmly cherished security against all worldly cruelties.
Madanjeet Singh, Mahasweta Devi, Muchukund Dube—they are my homeland today,
Their hearts my true country.

How Poor

How poor we are
How poor our India.
We are not ok
India tired
India shattered.
Where to go
How to go
It is not known
And it is not known
How poor how
Different India.

India- The paradise on Earth

India is the paradise on earth
I admire you the beauty of nature,
As you have created such beautiful creatures
The beautiful sight, the aromatic flowers,
The magnificent animals, and the colourful birds,
To give us courage, will and guts.
Our culture is the most popular one in the world
Every creature in this world appreciate India's culture.
Many foreigners come to India to marry, celebrate festivals
In the small villages, cities and towns.
They never forget it till they wear life's crown
Because India is the paradise on Earth.

Many Gods and Goddesses have incarnated in every eras in India
To rescue the world from destruction
He has fought and taken action
To destroy the destroyer
And to end the danger.
The people of India has made temples in the memory of unforgotable ancestors.
When the visitors visit those famous shrines,
They wash out all their crimes
Because India is the paradise on Earth.

You Want to Gain...What?

You want to gain...
What?
Fame, fortune and wealth?
To feel you are above everyone else?
To deal them with teases...
Just to please yourself?

You want to gain...
What?
Attention you insist belongs to you?
To set pretensions upon their point of view.
What does this 'really' do for you?
Would this erase your insecurities...
And those obscenities that you spew?

You want to gain...
What?
A dignity and pride...
With 'things' and objects,
You believe holds a head high.
Or eyes on you!
To be awed by a fake persona.
And left transfixed...
By your masquerading of it!

You clearly feel an emptiness.
And this you keep inside.
Nothing you choose to express to impress...
Will ever address what you deny!
And an identity unknown...
Seems to leave you depressed,
With regrets.
This is shown!

And moving forward beyond this...
With determined steps,
Will not gain you what you wish.
If you are too afraid...
To expose and admit,
Mistakes you've made!

But you insist...
None are there to fix.

You want to gain...
What?
A way to disguise your blemishes,
There and appearing.
Or a way to escape from your flaws?
No one finds endearing.

Which of these do you believe can not be seen?

You want to gain...
What?
Another life?
One you don't find,
So disgusting?
To live one that is lived perfectly right!
One you wished you had lived less distrusting.

Poets’ Occupation

You insist on some occupations to grasp,
Yet lying has happened for some time.
The understanding is full, fulfilling us,
As men who bear the pains insist on us.

The warriors of controversy shake us
Around the jugular veins, where there is a deity;
The deity is wrong, fulfilling nobody
Just as skies are around to tempt.

May we insist on the men of old,
Poets who are strong and never gaining;
The ends of the story are folded
Into many chambers of the heart.

Falsely Applied Devotion

They still insist,
Upon critiquing others lives.
With a passing of their judgements.

They still point their fingers,
To pick out weirdos and freaks.
Those they consider different from them.

And those folks are hardly uptight.
Those folks picked sleep peacefully at night.

They still insist,
Upon critiquing others lives.
With a passing of their judgements.

And everything around them has begun to sink.
As their hypocritical lives lived...
Shows cracks in foundations,
And with their beliefs on the brink.

But still they think of themselves as better than others.
And nothing they can show with evidence can prove this one bit!
Since the medications they take everyday faithfully...
Can not with falsely applied devotion just be prayed away.
Nor can their evils be hidden in masquerade.
