The minute you or anybody else knows what you are you are not it, you are what you or anybody else knows you are and as everything in living is made up of finding out what you are it is extraordinarily difficult really not to know what you are and yet to be that thing.

Enriched
What was difficult?
A decision made to be me.
A decision to leave,
Everything and everyone...
Who did not grasp,
Their own identity.
And when clarity came,
And stared in my face...
I stood and stared right back!
That was the most difficult thing I did.
And since then...
I recognized,
How many had not done that.
How many,
In fact...
Did not know who or what they were.
And I did not fully realize until I witnessed them...
How long I had been back then,
Like them...
In hiding!
Pretending I knew the life I lived.
But today I do not seek,
Acceptance from anyone to qualify that.
I did not know that finding myself,
Would leave me feeling so enriched!

Minute By Minute (Dobbie Brothers)
(Michael McDonaldLester Abrams)
Hey, don't worry, I've been lied to
I've been here many times before
Girl, don't you worry, I know where I stand
I don't need this love, I don't need your hand
I know I could turn, blink, and you'd be gone
Then I must be prepared any time to carry on
But minute by minute by minute by minute
I keep holding on
Oh, minute by minute by minute by minute
I keep holding on
You will stay just to watch me, darlin'
Wilt away on lies from you
Can't stop the habit of livin' on the run
I take it all for granted like you're the only one
Livin' on my own
Somehow that sounds nice
You think I'm your fool
Well, you may just be right
'Cause minute by minute by minute by minute
I keep holding on
Oh, minute by minute by minute by minute
I keep holding on
Call my name and I'll be gone
You'll reach out and I won't be there
Just my luck you'll realize
You should spend your life with someone
You could spend your life with someone
Minute by minute by minute by minute
I'll be holding on
Oh, minute by minute by minute by minute
I'll be holding on...

Minute
We start each day afresh
trying to make it better than the last
forgetting all our misdemeanours
that we made in the past.
We grab at each new minute
as if it were our last,
tie it with perfection
and try and make it last.
We care not what the world
has to say about us,
we are living every minute
in case it is our last.
We wrap our love around us
to keep out the cold
and hope that it will protect us
when eventually we get old.
We make each minute we are together
last forever and ever.

I wouldn't even know - and I spent three years in the CIA - I wouldn't even know how you'd start a covert action program in a place like Iran. It would be extraordinarily difficult.

Nothing us but only in between us
In finding you
I find me, in looking for you
You look for me, so in finding you finding me,
We finally find out, there is nothing us but only
You and me finding you and me, there is really
No us, just some things between us, always finding
You and me finding you always finding two
Not one, nothing one, but always two, a separate
You finding me and me finding you in this search in futility

Views On Life
life becomes harder as we grow,
love becomes confusing,
family get difficult to work with,
and life gets in the way of living,
but, letting it hold you back,
shouldn't be the excuse you give,
for getting what you want,
the guy you love,
will only stand by you,
if it was meant to happen,
you can't change fate,
family will only seem to grow,
when everybody understands each other,
and see them as the person they were ment to be,
life only gets in the way of living,
when you drift along,
watching only from the side lines,
rather than living life head on,
life path change,
but, seeing life as difficult,
will not change a thing,
just your views on life.

Counting Every Minute
Gonna break these chains
Gonna set myself free
Gonna turn on the mains
Feel the power inside of me
Gonna burn all night--gonna burn all day
Youll see me coming
From miles away
Feel me in the air
Feel me all around you
Gonna show you how I care
Teach you something new
Im gonna take my time
Make love to you
Yeah I know I can satisfy you
Thats what I intend to do
Now Im counting every minute
Every single minute
Im calling for you, honey
Come and get it while its hot
Counting every minute
Ooh Im living it
Ill make every minute count
Give it everything Ive got
Feel me getting closer
Im almost there
Can you fell my fingers
Running through your hair
Can you feel my hands
Draw you closer to me
Can you hear that clock tick, tick, ticking baby
Ill soon be there to set you free
Im counting every minute
Every single minute
Dont fool around come and
Get it while its hot
Counting every minute
Ooh Im living in it
Ill make every minute count
Give it everything Ive got
Counting every minute
Every single minute
Im calling for you, honey
Come and get it while its hot
Counting every minute
Ooh Im gonna give it
Ill give it to you honey
Ill give you everything
Ive got
Yeah Im counting every minute
Every single minute
Dont fool around come and
Get it while its hot
Counting every minute
Baby dont be timid
Ill make every minute count
Give it everything Ive got
Counting every minute
Counting every minute
Counting every minute
Im calling for you honey
Come and get it while
Its hot
Im counting
Every single minute
Im waiting for you baby
Give you everything Ive got

Seeking Justification
It is becoming more and more difficult,
For those to make attempts...
Seeking justification,
For the choices they've made...
In the way they've lived their lives,
With a finding of others at fault.
And reactions exchanged by those,
Who no longer accept excuses...
Rejected.

All About You
(v. peterson)
Vicki
You were so amused when I made myself available
You had to ask if it was all intentional
Well somethings going on, on and on
Somethings going on, going on and on
Im finding out all about you
The sun is hiding and the car is running badly
I know only one way a friend should kiss a friend goodbye
But somethings going on, on and on
Somethings going on, going on and on
Im finding out all about you
Youre taking it all to hard, Ive nothing left to fight you with
All your pretty things are merely to create the myth
That somethings going on, on and on
Somethings going on, going on and on
Im finding out all about you
Yeah somethings going on, on and on
Somethings going on, going on and on and
Im finding out all about you, yeah
Im finding out all about you

What's so difficult...
What's so difficult,
About the word,
No.
What's so difficult,
About our,
Relationship.
What's so difficult,
About,
Us.
What's so difficult,
About the words,
Stay away.
What's so difficult,
About,
Don't talk to me.
What's so difficult...

Get Some Rest
Getting little rest...
Isn't what's suggested is the best thing.
But...
Once one is committed,
It's difficult to quit.
Like many would would rather sit,
Just to...
Reminisce a bitterness,
Or...
Ignore the taking of those risks,
To...
Excuse the value of it.
And as a bit of a reminder...
Progress isn't made by sitting.
Progress isn't made by quitting.
Progress takes sacrificing,
What is wanted and what one likes.
And...
Progress isn't made by wishing.
Progress isn't made by shrinking...
Away to sneak a taste of cake,
While awaiting for someone else to make.
And...
Progress isn't made by sitting.
No.
Progress isn't made by quitting.
no.
Progress takes sacrificing,
What one wants, prefers and likes.
And,
Getting little rest...
Isn't what's suggested is the best thing.
But...
Once one is committed,
It's difficult to quit.
Like many would would rather sit,
Just to...
Reminisce a bitterness,
Or...
Ignore the taking of those risks,
To...
Excuse the value of it.
And as a bit of a reminder...
Get up and be tough.
Know,
To quit is not the best thing.
But...
Enough is enough.
And...
When it gets too rough,
You can...
Decide to get tougher.
But...
Get your rest.
Remember,
You can't do nuthin without...
Getting some rest.
You've got to,
Get your rest.
You've got to,
Get some rest!

No Two Ways About It
(greg barnhill/kim carnes/vince melamed)
I walked into the club last night
I hadnt been there for so long
Thinking foolishly I might find you sitting all alone
But oh how dreams lie
When she put her arms around you
And I watched you close your eyes
Aint no two ways about it, something here had changed
Aint no going back now, to that same old same
Used to be, you were always there for me
Now theres one thing I know, thats when to cash em in
God I hate to lose you, but theres no way I can win
And Im finding out, aint no two ways about it now
The lights were not too dim to see what was really going on
As the truth occurred to me, the band began to play our song
And you swirled her across the floor
But the thing that got me most
Was when you waltzed her out the door
Aint no two ways about it, something here had changed
Aint no going back now, to that same old same
Used to be, you were always there for me
Now theres one thing I know, thats when to cash em in
God I hate to lose you, but theres no way I can win
And Im finding out, aint no two ways about it now
Now theres one thing I know, thats when to cash em in
Oh, God I hate to lose you, but its looking like the end
And Im finding out, aint no two ways about it
Finding out, aint no two ways about it now
Oh, aint no two ways

Finding it-LOVE
Finding it is so hard and is rare
Finding it sometimes takes years
Finding it is something that should be handled with care
Finding it can bring you laughter instead of tears
Finding it can make you happy and free
Finding it can open the LOVE in your heart
Finding it will open your eyes to see
That one you do find it, you will see it has done its part

Think For A Minute!
Somethings going on, a change is taking place
Children smiling in the street have gone without a trace
This street used to be full, it used to make me smile
And now it seems that everyone is walking single file
And many hand their heads in shame
That used to hold them high
And those that used to say hello
Simply pass you by
Think for a minute, stop for a minute
Think for a minute, stop for a minute
I always said it could, they never though it would
The people look so pitiful, Im thinking that it should
And now its almost here, now its on its way
I cant help saying told you so and have a nice final day
And nothing I could say
Could ever make them see the light
Now apathy is happy that
It won without a fight
Think for a minute, stop for a minute
Think for a minute, stop for a minute
And many hang their heads in shame that used to hold them high
{think for a minute}
And those that used to say hello simply pass you by
{stop for a minute}
Think for a minute, stop for a minute
Think for a minute, stop for a minute

Next Big Thing
Walking down the street, it's everywhere you see
Looking right at you and staring right at me
You can't escape it cause it's in your face
The stars are out, they're bright today
It's the latest craze it sets your eyes ablaze
They're just hopin' this ain't just a passing phase
Turn the cycle to a faster spin
Throw the has been's out bring a fresh face in
This is your only chance knock 'em dead
Show it if you got it. The world is watching you
Take it if you want it. What have you got to lose
Raise your glass you made it
Everyone's waiting for the next big thing,
The next big thing
So now you won the fight, there's no end in sight
Everyone's your friend, might as well take a bite
You've just made it while the others dream
But just make sure the cash register rings
They all know your name, it's such an easy game
If all goes well, you'll have you're minute of fame
Suddenly people want to help you now
Plug it in, make sure you play it loud
This is your only chance knock 'em dead
Show it if you got it. The world is watching you
Take it if you want it. What have you got to lose
Raise your glass you made it
Everyone's waiting for the next big thing,
The next big thing
Show it if you got it. The world is watching you
Take it if you want it. What have you got to lose
Raise your glass you made it
Everyone's waiting for the next big thing,
The next big thing
Keep that spotlight on, breath it in
Cause when it's over you will know your friends
Yeah you enjoy yourself, appreciate the help
You'll need all the help you can get
Show it if you got it. The world is watching you
Take it if you want it. What have you got to lose
Raise your glass you made it
Everyone's waiting for the next big thing,
The next big thing
Show it if you got it. The world is watching you
Take it if you want it. What have you got to lose
Raise your glass you made it
Everyone's waiting for the next big thing,
The next big thing
