So much time spent seeking
Not enough time for faith.
If I don’t stop looking
I’ll never find the way.
I’ll just start walking
And trust that I won’t fall.
His promises aren’t conditional,
I’m not saved by my call.

By faith and faith alone,
For earth is merely fleeting,
Heaven is my home.
I don’t know what to do
Or where on earth to go.

My Journey

I've walked my feet
all over this earth.
I've done this walking
mere months from my birth.
I've walked when life
was insecure.
I've walked in sand
down by the shore.
I've followed the footsteps
of family and friends.
And sometimes these steps
led to dead ends.
But every step that I ever took
was a step towards finding you.

Would I do it again?
Of course I would.
Would I find you again?
I'd hope that I could.
For the walking is only
worth the while
if the miles I walked
produced your smile.

I would be one with the dark, dark earth:--
Follow the plough with a yokel tread.

Walking the rows with the plumes o'erhead.

I would be one with the lavish earth,
Eating the bee-stung apples red:
Walking where lambs walk on the hills;
By oak-grove paths to the pools be led.

I would be one with the dark-bright night
When sparkling skies and the lightning wed--
Walking on with the vicious wind
By roads whence even the dogs have fled.

I would be one with the sacred earth

The Illusion

As I was walking in the dark,
A glimpse of light i saw,
My eyes opened with amusement,
I giggled with all glee,

The brightness unspoken,
The light so perfect and rare
I thought i saw an angel,
Behold an illusion yet i believed,
Something made out of nothing,
Believing a lie, departing reality

The illusions of a lonely man,
