Judged (I Believe)
Originally posted in 2008, however some issues occured and all my poetry was deleted, however I had a copy of it stored and am reposting it now
Do me wrong, and ill do you right
Punch me in the face, and ill still be alright
Do me wrong and say what you will
Cos I know and I believe
That These folks will be judged someday
I believe you'll be judged one day
Stab my back, and ill scratch yours right
Screw me over and Ill still be alright
Screw me over, stab my back
Cos I know and I believe
That everyone is judged someday
I believe you'll be judged one day
Don't Believe in God, cos I like his teachin'
Don't worship the son, cos I hate their preachin'
But I believe I'll be judged someday
I believe I'll be judged someday

As individuals, we will be judged in our lives by the totality of our actions. Not one thing will stand out. And I think that's how we get judged by our colleagues and that's how we get judged by the good lord.

Real merits
How fast one ran may be defined
By the hurdles one faced.
How long one ran may be judged
By the cripples one sustained.
How far one ran may be arrived at
By discomforts one encountered.
How best one ran may be viewed
By odds one managed to overcome.
Mere records show not real merits.

They know not their own defects who search for the defects of others.
Love drops defects
Near-look finds out defects;
Dear-look shuts out defects.
Instant look notices potholes;
Fervent look ignores them.
No beloved is ugly
To her lover

Sexual love- its effect.
You are desperate to please her,
You discard what she dislikes
And adopt what she likes.
You spend time and energy
Like water to earn her love.
You do everything
To rise up in her estimate.
Her defects are invisible.
Her merits are enlarged.
Her evasion, you take as testing.
Her vision, you wait for endlessly.
You are obsessed with her features.
It is the real sexual love.
Love for the deity is similer too.

Pictures In The Sand
And Im gonna spend my time,
Drawing pictures in the sand for you.
And Im gonna ride the tide[? ],
And Im gonna make a rendezvous.
Sitting by the sea,
Sipping at my tea,
Drawing pictures in the sand,
And writing message to you.
Pictures in the sand (drawing pictures in the sand)
There is nothing I would rather do (there is nothing I would rather do)
Than just sit here in the sand (drawing pictures in the sand)
And think of thinks Id like to say to you (I love you true)
Every single day (every single day)
I waste my time away,
Drawing pictures in the sand,
And writing messages to you.
(all together)
Pictures in the sand. (drawing pictures in the sand)
Pictures in the sand.
If I didnt have a dime,
Would you still be loving me?
While I spend my whole life through,
Drawing pictures just for you.
But I could never draw my love,
Its so very hard to do.
Every single day,
I waste my time away,
Drawing pictures in the sand,
And writing messages to you.
Pictures in the sand. (drawing pictures in the sand)
Pictures in the sand. (do-bum, do-bum...)
Pictures in the sand. (drawing pictures in the sand)

Pictures In My Mind
Sweet nighttime pictures in my mind
have made it hard to sleep.
Can't I change them into dreams,
the kind I want to keep?
They've got me wide-awake in bed
wondering why they're here?
I should be sleeping soundlessly
but they just won't disappear.
Pictures of dancing and sweet romancing,
things that are no longer around,
I need to stop these pictures
and keep my feet on the ground.
Pictures of moonbeams shining
with a glow that warms my heart,
I close my eyes and I see you
and now my eyes start to smart.
The pictures become too blurry
for tears have formed in my eyes.
I wipe them and look for the pictures.
They're gone and I realize
that they were pictures of younger days
when all we ever knew
was passion and sweet embraces.
These were pictures of me and you.
And so as I lie here next to you
and wait for sleep to come,
I content myself with these scenes I've had
for I remember where they're from.

Pictures Of You
Pictures of you
Its just pictures of you, through the bedroom door
With that sly little grin, says you want it some more
But theres people around, and they dont look so nice
Tell me why dont they move, this has happened before
This has happened before
Its just pictures of you
In darkness
Pictures of you
Id been sleeping for hours,
When you came to my house
Youd been lost in a crowd, said you had to get out
You were covered with tears and you said you were sad
So you wanted to play
Yes, you wanted to play
Well you touched me and smiled, as you let yourself go
Oh, but something was wrong, cause your touch was so cold
Like youd been in the ground and you asked if you could
Stay
And I said no!
Its just pictures of you
In darkness
(pictures of you)
In that lovely white dress, oh your skin was so white
With the moon in your eyes, on that cold winter night
When your lips were so soft, that I though they would
Melt,
And the sound of your breath and the way that you felt
And I said yes
And I said yes
Its just pictures of you with a knife in your hand
With a rose in your teeth lying nude in the sand
Its just pictures of you, standing high on a cliff
With the wind in your hair, and a smile on your lips
And your eyes were so wild, when you started to laugh
Blending in with the wind, sounded just like a scream
Why do pictures of you
Come to me when I dream
In darkness
Pictures of you
Pictures of you
Pictures of you

The Harsh Truth Of The Camera Eye
Churchillian legs
Hair barely there
Mmm, the harsh truth of the camera eye
Your eyes signal pain
Because of the strain of smiling
The harsh truth of the camera eye
Telling you all
That you never wanted to know
Showing you what
You didnt want shown
My so friendly lens
It zooms into
The inner you
And it tells the harsh truth
And nothing but
Laugh with us all now, here
If you can
Then take the pictures home
And scream
Oh, ooh; telling you all
That you never wanted to know
Showing what
You didnt want shown
This photographer
He must have really had it in for you
Ooh, I dont want
To be judged anymore
I dont want to be judged
I would sooner be loved
I would sooner be
Just blindly loved ...

To perpetuate is to exist
One’s thoughts spread, not on their merits alone,
But on one’s skill to perpetuate them.
Men grew great for their skill in perpetuation,
Rather than for the merits their thoughts hold

Pictures And Memories
There's a teardrop
Falling slowly from my eyes tonight
As I think of your two arms
That used to hold me so very tight
But you're gone now
And girl I'm alone and blue
With just these pictures and memories of you
Pictures and memories
Of a love warm and true
Pictures of love we shared
And the memories of you
But your pictures can't heal my chest
Of this hurt deep inside
Pictures and memories
I feel like crying tonight
--- Instrumental ---
I may be crazy but you know sometimes
I can almost feel your touch
Those who say I should be over you
Well I guess they just never loved as much
I'd put your pictures where I can't see them
But I'd still see them in my mind
Just like your memories,
They're right here with me all the time
Pictures and memories
Of a love warm and true
Pictures of love we shared
And the memories of you
But your pictures can't heal my chest
Of this hurt deep inside
Pictures and memories
That's why I'm crying tonight
Pictures and memories
I feel like dying tonight...

Pictures
Whoa oh yeah
I've seen pictures
Well i saw you just the other day
And i could not help but look your way
I say you've just got this special look
That has got me completely hooked
Ow
Pictures on the wall
Pictures everywhere
Pictures on the wall
Everywhere i stare
Pictures on the wall
The ceiling and the floor
I'm in a metal room
And i cannot find the door
Will this feeling ever go away?
Or will this feeling stay?
Will this feeling ever go away?
'cause i can't live the rest of my life this way
Pictures on the wall
[c'mon]
Pictures everywhere
Pictures on the wall
[c'mon c'mon]
Everywhere i stare
Pictures on the wall
[c'mon c'mon]
The ceiling and the floor
I'm in a metal room and i cannot find the door
I see your face in the clouds in the sky
I see your face before my eyes, yeah
I see your face everywhere
And now i don't know what to do
Oh oh
Pictures on the wall
Pictures everywhere
Pictures on the wall
Everywhere i stare
Pictures on the wall
The ceiling and the floor
I'm in a metal room
And i cannot find the door
Whoa pictures...
