I believe that the Apple Shuffle is an excellent compromise among the conflicting requirements of simplicity, elegance, size, battery life, and function.

Neon Shuffle
Hey - what you going to do now
Youre standing there and wondering how
Youve got to make some noise
Just like one of the girls
Or even one of the boys
When you do it
It aint no disgrace
I can see it written all across your face
Neon shuffle and shuffle into outer space
I said - neon shuffle is a dance for the human race
I said - neon shuffle is gonna pull you outta your place
You - you put your hands together
Better make up a storm
Or some electricky weather
Now that the powers stop
Can you click your heels
Can you finger pop
Neon shuffle
Neon shuffle its going to do it to me
Neon shuffle its going to do it to you
Neon shuffle its going to do it with red
Neon shuffle its going to do it with blue
Neon shuffle its going to run you right through
Neon shuffle with a stick of bamboo

Lost In The Shuffle
(eric carmen)
Dont wanna hear no more about the p.l.o.
Or the a.f.l. and the c.i.o.
Not the f.b.i. or the a.s.p.c.a.
You know Ive had my fill of capitol hill
And the opec prices and the oil spills
Ive had enough bad news to last me a year today
And I feel Im lost in the shuffle
And Im not gonna take it
I feel lost in the shuffle
And Im not gonna take it no more
Oh no
No, no, no
Lost in the shuffle
Lost in the shuffle
Well Ive got no time for the rise in crime
And plutonium leaks and mile-long lines
Of cars backed up just tryin to buy some gasoline
Well Im up to here with the cancerous rats
And the test tube babies and bureaucrats
Looks like the whole damn worlds
Just comin apart at the seams
And I feel Im lost in the shuffle
And Im not gonna take it
I feel lost in the shuffle
And Im not gonna take it no more
Oh no
No, no, no
Lost in the shuffle
Lost in the shuffle
You know you pay your taxes and you work all day
But you better watch out for the c.i.a.
cause theyre putting together a dossier on you
And now Im glad Im livin in the land of the free
Where I can speak my mind if I dont agree
But it seems like it really doesnt matter
What I say or do
cause I feel Im lost in the shuffle
And Im not gonna take it
And I feel lost in the shuffle
And Im not gonna take it no more
Oh no
No, no, no
Lost in the shuffle

Red Apple, Red Apple
Red apple
Red apple
sitting on the ledge
savouring its nutrients
for a few moments longer
Red apple
Red apple
Savouring its time
That is has left
As a whole
Red apple
Red apple
Traveled such a
Long way, from the store?
Farm? another country?
Red apple
Red apple
Haunting me by
The curiosity of
How juicy you taste
Red apple
Red apple
Shine on,
Red apple

Compromise, n. Such an adjustment of conflicting interests as gives each adversary the satisfaction of thinking he has got what he ought not to have, and is deprived of nothing except what was justly his due.

Our life is frittered away by detail. An honest man has hardly need to count more than his ten fingers, or in extreme cases he may add his ten toes, and lump the rest. Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity!

Now supposing I had the part of a young woman to give out, one that wanted some excellent acting. If I were to go to the stage for my actress I would have to take a matured woman, one who would act splendidly, but who would look too old for the requirements.

Illusive Change, Yet For Whom
I'm tired of trying to bring about change and make a difference,
Maybe the world too is tired of fighting to bring about change,
But who will make the change if the world is tired as well.
Yet as men, we do have a part to reinstate the goodwill,
And for whom is the change? Will it be yours or theirs - once?
Me or you and them? If i try to make a change, is there a chance?
Maybe it won't be befitting into your own space,
And if you try to change it, will it include my life in it?
I'm tired of trying to change the world, because the change
That I want does not fit into other people's lives.
Somehow maybe there should be a compromise,
But compromise - it seems - has a hard time
Fitting itself into this world. So, how am I to find a change,
And be a part of a conflicting world that is suppose to be for you and
Me... A wish to just survive and live satisfactorily, but how...?

A life without a life...
It’s a life with commitment
It’s a life without complement
It’s a life with compromise
It’s a life without appraise
It’s a life with emotion
It’s a life without inspiration
It’s a life with amuse
It’s a life without refuse
It’s a life with tear & grin
It’s a life without dream
It’s a life with touch
It’s a life without trust
It’s a life with pain
It’s a life without importance
It’s a life with a relation
It’s a life without love and affection
Is it a life or only Compromise?

Here's the thing about Apple, we complain and they give us more battery life. We complain and they'll give us more stuff. Everything's beta right now. Everything's experimental. They really don't know what people want.
A snowball is simple, direct and familiar to most of us. I use this simplicity as a container for feelings and ideas that function on many levels.

Battery Brides
Battery brides, ha ha have you ever tried
To break out of your waiting room
And find yourself a waiting groom
Ba ba ba ba battery brides
Ba ba ba ba battery brides

And worked in a store part time
She dreams of a husband and a lover
Doesn't realise she's on the production line of ...

Red! Red! Red!
Is there no black?
Red like the bloody earth, this pack!
Knaves! Kings! Queens!- all red!
Where are the black?
Shuffle again!
Will not the other cards come back?
The only cards to clear the brain!
Dear God, ‘twill crack!
Shuffle again!
Red! Red! Red!
Black! Black! Black!
Is there no red?
Has all the blood on earth been shed?
Each Queen! Each King! and every Jack!
Where are the red?
Shuffle again!
Has blood within the world all bled?
The millions mourning for the slain?
The million dead?
Shuffle again!

The Earthly Bias....
you are
this man torn between
sky and sea
you belong to the earth
take note
pray
that the sky shall not blind you
neither the
sea to drown you
take the middle
compromise, compromise,
compromise
always have that
compromise
the earth is still the most
beautiful place
to live
give it the bias
that for the meantime
it deserves

Upcoming train is growing in size;
Down going train dwindle in size.
Incoming things look more than life size.
Outgoing things fade less than life size.

The Pigeon
The dreams are not merely dreams,
Though they are often considered the fantasies,
And futile vain imaginings of the mind;
Yet they portend the stuff for the future.
I dreamt once, I was on the route shingled long,
All alone with grimness I walked,
No one accompanied to share my pang,
It was almost dark, the time of sunset;
All of sudden I heard a voice, urging me to stop,
I stopped and turned behind;
And saw a damsel simply clad,
Though she was bare feet, yet from head to toe,
An incarnation of simplicity and elegance.
She stopped beside me and had a pause,
And in silence stared at me,
Then she brought out a white pigeon,
That she had kept covered under her shawl,
And handing it to me went back,
With out a word spoken.
Many years later I happened to meet the same elegance,
And she became my life partner;
In her company I journeyed the remaining part,
Of the route shingled long but with the soft pigeon of love.

We R In Control
We control the data banks
We control the think tanks
We control the flow of air.
Were controlling traffic lights
We control computer flights
We control the chief of staff.
We control the tv sky
We control the fbi
We control the flow of heat.
Computer age in harms way.
We will prevail and perform our function
C.c.t.b.
Were controlling
Were controlling
We control.
Were controlling
We control.
We control.
We control you floor to floor
We control you door to door
Were controlling while you sleep
Computer age in harms way.
We will prevail and perform our function
C.c.t.b.
Computer age in harms way.
We will prevail and perform our function
C.c.t.b.
We are in control, we are in control, we are in control.
We are in control, we are in control, we are in control.
We are in control, we are in control, we are in control.
We are in control, we are in control, we are in control.

Elegance of language may not be in the power of all of us; but simplicity and straight forwardness are. Write much as you would speak; speak as you think. If with your inferior, speak no coarser than usual; if with your superiors, no finer. Be what you say; and, within the rules of prudence, say what you are.
