We never had it as rough as the kids have it today. Look at the price of a gallon of gas or a piece of real estate or a college education.

Pell Grants
The USA has fallen behind in college graduates in many areas especially the sciences and technology. We need more kids with ability graduating from college and getting master degrees etc. Pell grants allow a young or older person who cannot afford a college education to get one. People pay the loans off by the percentage of wage they make at the time. This democratic benefit to the middle and lower classes would be dropped by Romney/Ryan and the republicans if they are elected.
The implication of this would be college is for the wealthy and the extremely gifted with scholarships or in sports. Is this fair? Is it right for a young person with an IQ of a hundred with rich parents to go to college and another child with an IQ of a 120 with parents that can't afford 20,000 dollars a semester not go? Is this the America that you want? I am not voting for people only but justice, equality and a real America with real opportunity for all not just the rich.

I like school very much, and I'll go to college if my career slows down. But kids go to college to be where I am today. Not to put college down, but for me, it would be digressing.
The Auction
Buy a piece of God today.
He's going for half price.
Buy a piece of God today.
Save your soul,
Buy some salvation,
Save your soul from Damnation.
The man on the street corner
Has all the answers.
He's selling the Divine
From the back of a truck.
'Too hot to handle, too cold to hold,
Come on baby unburden your soul.'
It's raining.
Mud is splashing.
The pavement where the man stands,
Is dry.
Come save yourself.
It's all, all right.
God is being sold today.
Come early and get a good price
From the market.
Remember,
We've got what you need.
Cloth, cotton candy, vegetables,
And furniture.
Manure for your flower beds.
It's all right in the next room.
God is being sold today.
He's going for half price.
Going Once
Going Twice
Going three times!
GONE.

Real-Estate
Real-Estate, real, estate, state, taste, east, eat, ale, tea, set, sale, sales, ate;
In the thirty-seventh year with your love,
And like your battle axe and your weapons of war!
But the horse and its rider are now killed with your bombs! !
Real-Estate, at, as, art, last, late, rate, rates, sea, sear, tear, tears, tale, tales;
And like the muse of love in the land of hatred!
But rise up to the challenges around you and be yourself;
For many wrs ar now waging on!
Real-Estate, ear, era, are, seat, lease, star, rat, tar, tease, salt, ease, sat, ears;
And like your love behind the works of war! !
But be very wise to move on peacefully with your mind;
For the real-estate business is like the muse of your love surrounded with troubles.

Bad Education
Rewrite of Bon Jovi's Bad Medicine
No, there they ain't got a fever
Got what seems to be a permanent disease
It'll take more then the school nurse or PTA committee
To prescribe a remedy
They got loads of money
But it isn't what our kids need
Seems all they ever do anymore is get our little ones
Either shot or knocked up by some overeager teacher
Try to cover this song up
But no way am I going away or letting you silence me
I know
Today's kids got all the symptons
Count 'em 1,4,3
Deny it
But we all know
Today it's all about your greed
Not some desperate kid's need
Hiring sexy young thangs
Got our kids falling in love
Cos they're too darn young to know any better
You got the wrong ones in charge and you know it
When it comes to their learning
You only give 'em a little
Never ever enough
Leave them brainless and on their knees
Begging for a chance at a better life
But never finding none
Cause while you were busy looking the other way
Dealer's got 'em hooked on the drugs
Your teachin' ain't nothin' but bad education
Bad education ain't what today's kids need
All shook up and confused
Led astray by your bad education
Tell me
Why don't you even bother
To try and cure this disease
Nowadays our kids are forced to depend on guitar heroes and druggie needles
Just to be gettin' some attention
Just to be gettin' some thrills
They give in to the pills
Cause of your lazy butt work force
They all got a dirty low down addiction
Leaving a nasty track
To proclaim that your pushing and bullying
Is the monkeys on their breaking backs
No, there ain't no paramedic
Gonna save you from my scolding attack
Not givin' 'em nearly enough of what they need
Too young and pretty
Hiring all those oversexed predators
Can't expect pumping hormones
Not to go falling in love
Too young and innocent to know any better
Screaming
Dying for the answer to a better life
You just let 'em bleed
Give a little
But it ain't nearly enough
Falling begging to their knees
Maybe if you teachers really cared
Our kids would't be attending
Carrying guns
So scared every day
Living their lives as nothing more then useless thugs
Your teachin' ain't nothing but bad education
Bad education ain't what today's kids need
All shook up and confused
Led astray by your bad education
So let's see you try to do instead of just acting the part
Oooh teacher, baby
Cure this disease
Bad, bad education
Bad, bad education
Gotta buy them a respirator
Cause this so called educational system is running out of breath
You're such a cruel defeater
Warped in your old-fashioned ways of thinking
So very depressing
You ask for funds to help with their schooling
All just a ruse
We know
To take what your greed can get
The public don't really know any better
Or they would't be givin' you any more of their hard earned dough
Your teachin' ain't nothin' but bad education
Bad education ain't what today's kids need
All shook up and confused
Led astray by your bad education
Tell me
Why don't you even bother
To try and cure this disease
Ooh teacher
Don't you dare think
We're close to being done yet
Your teachin' ain't nothing but bad education
Bad education ain't what today's kids need
All shook up and confused
Led astray by your bad education
Better teachers and teachin' are the only things that can cure this disease

Up! Education
Education is important
Right from when an infant
Education is not about college
It entails a wider range of knowledge
Supplying a market of skills shortage
Education is great
It creates and decides upon ones fate
Never leave it too late
Education makes it a priority
To provide you with opportunities
So I say
OK! Up! Education
Feed the Nations
Up! Education
Education is in abundance
A constituent of importance
As we humans advance
It offers us life’s insurance
Education is the key to set you free
From joblessness condemnation
Education is the key to flee
From endless financial frustration
Education provides you with ammunition
To tackle any country, state or nation
Education gives you immunisation
Against surviving global frustration
Education relieves you
From absurd ignorance
Education exempts you and me
From parental allowance
For most adults
It is usually a concerning disturbance
So I say
OK! Up! Education
Feed the Nations
Up! Education
I take my time to stress once more
It is the path to successes door
Education is a treasure
One cannot significantly measure
By only your life’s attended lectures
Education is power
Your immediate answer
To questions that remain unanswered
Education is for all
Embrace it or fall
Education provides options
And sets the motion
In life for you to function
So I say
OK! Up! Education
Feed the Nations
Up! Education
Education is the name of the game

Bright Sunny Day
If you wake up in the morning light
Something doesn't seem
or know is right
Lay back and let your feeling show
Come on and let the people know
Oh, that's the price that you pay
Oh, that's the price that you pay.
Just ?? money
Your baby ??
??
Now come on boys,??
Oh, that's the price that you pay
Oh, that's the price that you pay.
Oh, that's the price that you pay
Oh, that's the price that you pay.
Bad news is just an excuse
Get down and
let yourself keep loose
Go on and live for tomorrow
So much spent today in sorrow
Oh, that's the price that you pay
Oh, that's the price that you pay.

Really, the potential for, first of all, any college graduate today is enormously good. These are good times for anyone with a college degree today, particularly African Americans. With a college degree today, you really breach the unemployment rate.

A Piece Of You
Im just trying to live this life of mine
The more I look, the more Im blind
And all I ask for is piece of mind
And all I want is a piece of you
Well I lost my way today
Back home from work
The snow fell like dust
I felt like dirt
Happens everytime I start to search
For that long lost piece of you
A piece of you
A piece of you
A piece of you
It seems the last time I was sure
Of anything
I sold my heart
I wore your ring
But now, the queen has lost her king
All I want is a piece of you
A piece of you
A piece of you
A piece of you

Hard Times (from Michigan)
In these hard times
Of unreported unemployed voices
Of ignored college graduates
Of desperate youth
As well as desperate old
In these times
Education is overlooked
Pale profit wins over ethics
Our youth gets pushed further
Further away from their hard earned achievements
Further away from their intricate dreams
In these times
Fresh bread is left behind to turn into mold
Experience overtakes knowledge
Education becomes a burden
The educated are the punished
When they should be awarded
Education is no longer counted as experience
Our interactions with one another
Is no longer experience
They become experience (in the eyes of employers) by the documentation of a paycheck
To be qualified
We must be paid to interact with each other
We must be paid to use our knowledge
We must be paid to develop our skills
When in reality
We pay for our education ourselves
And in our education in which we pay
We interact and learn from others without demanding to be paid
In the eyes of the employer
Education is not experience
Eight years of college and achieving a P.H.D.
Is no longer experience
What employers don't realize is...
Education is a full-time job
A full time job that we do not get paid for
Education doesn't employ us
We employ education for ourselves
Yet...education is still not experience
When will they open their eyes and enlighten their minds?
Education should never have to come last
But should always come first
No wonder we are behind

Teachers Challenge
It's time for the public to open up their eyes
Without the teachers how will our kids survive
What will happen to our children if they
don't have an education
They are the foundation of this great nation.
The teachers all had a dream and a goal
To teach the public young and old.
They had learned early in college
That they must gain daily knowledge.
Every day they challenge their minds
With new knowledge that they find
It does not matter what the topic may be
It all goes down into history.
They work hard at what they do
Teaching our kids and their kids too.
Teaching is not an easy task
not all kids learn that fast.
Then there are those with special needs
With which the teachers plant their seeds.
They are given a lot more patience
And a lot more care, so with them
The teachers do share.
Now is the time that money should be given
So that they can earn a decent living.

She stole my life
Why do you do this?
You take our pride and leave?
Just like that?
You want too leave us like this?
Pay for your college and leave us like this?
I sold my house for you!
For your special dorm.
FOR YOUR SPECIAL DORM.
I spent my money and my life for your education.
What is college? is it about education or relaxation and tanning for you?
I feel like a idiot
thanks a lot

New Day
What we gon' do right now is go back, way back
Bring in the groove
I wanna dedicate this to those who never made it
>From kindergarten to the 12th I never graduated
Yo but college wasn't for some of us
So we joined the service
I seen a kid get murdered in Nam listening to Elvis
But on the out looking in
Things stay the same
But at the same vein
Looking out the whole world's changed
So keep your head up
Don't get caught up in the fast bucks
And find your mom crying while your lying in a black tux
Trust me
We don't need no education says a young man
Sitting in class (sitting in class)
School is out 3 o'clock on the dot
He had beef with some kids and he got shot, oh Lord
Turn on the television
I'm watching Martin Luther King who had a dream, oh
So take this dream and apply it to your life
Even though we know the ghetto's rough
But we got to
1 - Keep your head up
(Uh keep your head up)
Cause a new day will come
(Uh-huh, uh-huh)
And look towards the sun
(Look towards the sun)
Even when the darkness shall come
(Ooh) It's real son
(Ooh) To my people living Life it's real son
I turn the page
What's the news today
People getting fired, walking on a wire
Looting on the streets cause the kid's gotta eat
Oh, oh turn around and look at the hour glass
I gotta get it straight
Before it's too late
Cause I don't wanna be behind that gates
Keep your head up
(Uh keep your head up)
Cause a new day will come
(Uh-huh, uh-huh)
And look towards the sun
Even when the darkness shall come
2 - All my people in the back
Mama, mama
You know you raised me with no father figure
(Didn't ya)
I wanna take this time to thank you
For giving me life, oh yeah
Mama, mama
You know you raised me with no father figure
(Didn't ya)
I wanna take this time to thank you
Even though I'm doing Life
Alright
(Ooh) It's real son, alright
(Ooh) Can't flee
(Ooh)All my people doing time
(Ooh)People in the back playing cards
(Ooh)Don't lose your money yeah
Yeah tell them don't lose your money, c'mon, c'mon
Repeat 1
Repeat 2
(Ooh) For my people doing time (alright)
(Ooh) For my people doing time (alright)
