Let us make a pledge now to help Fiji through this very important next stage of its journey. We can do this by promising to be patient, calm and tolerant and by respecting the views of others, even if we disagree with them.

Tolerance.
If you ask me politely
Invariably I will comply
But if you try to compel me
then your demand I will deny.
As I have every right to do
You have your views and I have mine
and they are most unlikely to be
close enough so they combine.
Into a view we both agree
I’m tolerant and you are not
You see my views as heresy.
Which does nor really help a lot.
Some see your views as bigotry
and who am I to disagree.

Stages Of Development
Every life goes through stages,
stages of development.
It starts with our birth,
the first stage in our lives,
and ends with our death,
the final stage when we
evolve to a higher plane.
Each stage along our journey
prepares us for our final stage
and the journey
that has to be taken by us all.

Journey From A Small Place
I think I'll journey out some day to wondrous lands afar,
Or even chart a journey to a distant blazing star.
I make a journey in a paper
A contemplation ink in white field
I make a journey inside the book
Traveling my imagination in the word ocean
I make a journey under the table
A furious food battle on the ground
I make a journey on top of the roof
Transforming myself among the cloud in the sky
I make a journey outside the glass
A different possibility faces on the transparent canvas
I make a journey at the bridge
Clearing the dark shadow with the water current
I make a journey above the tree
An adventure child who never stops to grow
I make a journey over my pillow
Bringing a piece of dream to reality world

Stages~
Stages
Many are the stages from the cradle to the grave -
Diversities in journey to each of us God gave.
Within each stage of journey lies paths that one can choose-
Depending on the chosen path, we either gain or lose.
Confusion and perplexity may sometimes come our way-
Despondency and sadness may sometimes waste our day.
Among each stage of journey, there's One we cannot see-
Our guide and our companion near He'll always be.
Giving rest when we are weary, giving joy when we are sad,
Comforting and consoling, each broken heart made glad.
Along this present journey looms chance for eternal wealth-
Along this present journey is choice of immortal health.
Deceptions and distractions along this journey lie-
Illusions of elation, beckon you and I.
Depending on the choice one makes determines what will be-
In the stage that's soon to follow, for all eternity...........
The times when I think about, ending my own life
My mind wonders back to the days, of daddy and mama, his wife
How hard it was for them, raising us six kids on what
I really want to see them again-if I do it, I will not
So in this stage of my journey, today I am still here
But everyday I wonder, Would anyone really care
If tomorrow they should wake up, to find that I am dead
Then they would realize, it was not just words I had said
I know my life is a journey and this path is mine to choose
But I feel I've lost everything, what else have I got to lose.......

Anita
The bold and the beautiful,
The right time will come for the patient ones;
But do believe in yourself first!
And like a knock at your door with the words of joy.
I have been knocking and waiting,
But the right time will come for the patient ones;
And in various views and forms,
But like a dream of meeting Anita one day.

I Am Calm In The Pain
I AM CALM IN THE PAIN
I am calm in the pain,
And calm in the rejection,
And calm through the insult,
And calm through the anger,
And calm calm calm,
Though I feel so deeply
How I have failed
I am calm
Very calm
So calm
Until suddenly
In the middle of the morning prayer
I begin to cry to God
Cry with a terrible crying
And then when the prayer done
Calm calm calm calm calm.

A Tolerant Society
A tolerant society we've heard it all before
That fellow he is different he is from a distant shore
He never will be my friend so him i will ignore
I will only tolerate him just that and nothing more.
A tolerant society those words often used of late
By the leaders of the Government in a so called egalatarian State
Yet his birthday or successes we will never celebrate
We will only tolerate him he will never be our mate.
A tolerant society words best used to describe
That we will put up with others but we'll stick by our own tribe
Them we shall not acknowledge or to them say hello
And about them and their culture we do not wish to know.
In a tolerant society we only tolerate
And closer ties or friendships with them we do not wish to cultivate
He is from a different culture and our differences are great
And we only tolerate him he will never be our mate.

Disagreement
With you, I do not always agree
Because I am not your ‘mini-me.'
Over the years, I have grown
And now have opinions of my own.
It must be a big shock when you find
I'm capable of making up my own mind.
From the things you say, I can tell,
That you think you know me very well.
You often say ‘I think this, don't you? '
But often I hold a very different view;
I do not mean to disagree,
But I am not you: I am me.
I do not mean to be a right pain,
But you and I are not the same.
It is all very well keeping the peace,
But, my own views, I like to release.
Sometimes I agree for a quiet life:
Not wanting to cause trouble or strife;
But it is hard to agree all of the time
When the views you hold are not mine.

Arguments
I have as much right as you have
To air my view. Be tolerant.
I have as much right as you have
To say of God. Be tolerant.
Arguments take you nowhere,
And serve as an entertainment.

Basic life support
Basic life support consists
A number of life-saving techniques.
Patients with cardiac arrests,
Improves the survival rates.
As you will learn head-tilt,
Chin-lift and jaw thrust maneuvers;
Circulation, airway and breathing
Are very important things as well.
In case patient is unconscious,
Check his level of consciousness.
If there is no pulsation,
Start chest compressions.
Every minute is important.
So never stop,
Compressing the chest
Until blood reaches the brain
and has enough oxygen.
When pulses are back,
Circulation is alright.
Give two rescue breaths at first.
Then see the rise and fall
On patient's chest.
Just make sure,
Pulses are there.
When patient is awake
As he regains consciousness,
Explain what happened.
Monitor vital signs
Every five minutes.
When he can tolerate
As his vital signs are stable,
Advise doctor's consultation.

How I Disagree With You My Friend
Dark and dusty road well travelled
I see the dim clouds above me
The voice of the past is calling
Your vision there I almost see
The evening is coming close
How I regret turning back again
It was your very words I recall
When you told me all must end
How I Disagree With You Friend
Nothing lasts forever you said
Everything has an end someday
I'd rather be anywhere then here instead
You throw your shadows at me
I keep calm and and quiet inside
Your depression is deep and cold
It is from you I decide to hide
How I disagree With You my Friend

Journey Is One
JOURNEY IS ONE
Leaning on each other by choice
Holy books of all faiths showing harmony
Echoing their sentiments in universal voice
Baring out truth of one testimony
Journey is one paths are different
Message of every passage is same
Look beyond the messengers being tolerant
For all religions in divine’s name
Towering to skies in same horizon
Holy symbols of all beliefs joining hands
Showing the strength of one vision
Writing one scripture making a stand
Journey is one when it’s all done
Destination is same in everyone’s heart
Like the course of sun and moon
On any given day from the very start
Playing together in world of laughter
Children of all disciples sharing same love
Reaching out to friends and strangers
In the spirit of one God above
Journey is one for each and everyone
How they travel may be different
Some are straight some are ups and downs
Still it is the same after life is burnt
