A Tolerant Society
A tolerant society we've heard it all before
That fellow he is different he is from a distant shore
He never will be my friend so him i will ignore
I will only tolerate him just that and nothing more.
A tolerant society those words often used of late
By the leaders of the Government in a so called egalatarian State
Yet his birthday or successes we will never celebrate
We will only tolerate him he will never be our mate.
A tolerant society words best used to describe
That we will put up with others but we'll stick by our own tribe
Them we shall not acknowledge or to them say hello
And about them and their culture we do not wish to know.
In a tolerant society we only tolerate
And closer ties or friendships with them we do not wish to cultivate
He is from a different culture and our differences are great
And we only tolerate him he will never be our mate.

Them We Tolerate
For being different to others there is some price to pay
That's how it is and it was always that way
Many good people executed for being seen as a social threat
Since Jesus was crucified and put to death
Our own praises as a race of people we often do sing
But a truly tolerant society there is no such a thing
Because of our laws them we do tolerate
But their culture with them we'll never celebrate
Our brave soldiers who died where the gunfire was loud
We remember and honour them and of them feel proud
Their courage when in great danger of them cannot be denied
And we are told that for peace and harmony amongst people they died
But the successes and culture of those different we never celebrate
Them we do not love though them we tolerate.

I covered two presidents, LBJ and Nixon, who could no longer convince, persuade, or govern, once people had decided they had no credibility, but we seem to be more tolerant now of what I think we should not tolerate.

What in fact have I achieved, however much it may seem Bits and pieces trivialities. But here they won't tolerate anything else, or anything more. If I wanted to take one step in advance of the current views and opinions of the day, that would put paid to any power I have. Do you know what we are those of us who count as pillars of society We are society's tools, neither more nor less.

Low Society
A judge a dentist or physician
In this low society
Trade ambition for position
In this low society
Have you heard its in the stars
Next july we collide with mars
Have you heard it in the bars
In this low society
No more pay and lots of leisure
In this low society
Low society
Im just doing what I can
In this low society
But Im an incidental man
In this low society
I give away what others sell
The secrets yours so never tell
cos if you do youll go to hell
Low society
Side by side and always tired
All for one and no-one hired
All thats left is love inspired
Low society
And when the party is complete
And youre still standing on your feet
The taste of victory is sweet
Low society
And darling dont forget
In this low society
To turn off your t.v. set
In this low society
The most important thing at all
In this low society
Is not to stand too tall
In this low society
In this world that never learns
I can see rome as it burns
All the passion and the power
Turns to ash within an hour
No more play and no more pleasure
In this low society

The remarkable thing is that we really love our neighbors as ourselves: we do unto others as we do unto ourselves. We hate others when we hate ourselves. We are tolerant of others when we tolerate ourselves. We forgive others when we forgive ourselves. We are prone to sacrifice others when we are ready to sacrifice ourselves.

Arguments
I have as much right as you have
To air my view. Be tolerant.
I have as much right as you have
To say of God. Be tolerant.
Arguments take you nowhere,
And serve as an entertainment.

On the other hand, I'm very tolerant as well. I expect that everybody can play what they want. I'm only not tolerant when it comes to myself and what is presented on my album that I have to listen to for the rest of my life.

O my love, tolerate my wrongs
O my love
Please tolerate my wrongs
As a father tolerates
The impudence of his son
As a friend tolerates
The impertinence of his friend
My respectful obeisances
I fall down to offer you
And asking your mercy
O my love
Tolerate my wrongs
Tolerate my love.

No taste without society
A society is
An army wherein each one
Is an unchained slave.
A society is
A fortress in which each one
Is under the siege.
A society is
A kennel wherein the pair
Is in surveillance.
A society is
A prison with prisoners
Kept in unshackled.
Without society,
Pride and prejudice will fail
To add to one's taste.

Less Tolerant of Your Success
Tolerant?
I am accused of not being tolerant?
This has got to be something filmed,
On a candid camera.
It is...
Isn't it?
I guess you will soon accusing me,
Of preventing your success?
How about this one...
Holding you back,
From promotions you were not qualified to get,
Even though I place higher scores...
On all of the recent tests.
Oh...
And yesI
How could I forget?
Forgive me for introducing race,
To profile you based upon the color of your skin.
And not consider your efforts made,
To improve your life and protect your assets.
And excuse all of the people I represent.
You know the ones enjoying the act,
Of suppressing themselves.
With the love of stress,
Lived under constant duress.
You are most correct.
I guess I have been less tolerant of your success.
When I should be more grateful to know,
My own people are thrilled to show suppression expressed...
In urban ghettos wherever across this country,
Anyone goes.

Tolerate if someone fights you for food.
Tolerate if someone steel from you food.
Don’t retaliate. The survival is at stake.
