When I watched Ellen come out in '97, my jaw was on the floor. I thought, There are some people who break the doors down, hold them open, and some people who walk right through.

Hall Of Doors

You walk through the hall of doors
With life in sight with death in mind
You watch people open their doors
And you think of how the doors and fate bind

You watch waiting to see your exit
As you see others turn down their path to their end
You know that the paths can not change
You know even with time fate shall not mend

Down the hall you walk
Doors lining each side
Every person holds the key to one of those locks
All around you people stride

Doors open
As people come to their door mats
You walk by doors just hoping,
hoping the next isn't yours, isn't your mat

You watch parents and children leaving eachothers sides
You see love being torn, hate being sewn
as the doors open wide
Some people leave together, some alone

You wait to see your door, your fate
You watch to see which door your key fits
You watch to see if your heart is with love or hate
You watch untill you find the mat at which you shall sit

You walk through the hall of doors
With life in sight, death in mind
You watch as people open their doors
You wait to see which door your fate lays behind.

A Asome Poem About PEOPLE

Some people
Care about you, some people
Don’t care,
Make fun of you and walk away,
Some people,
Run past, some people
Hand you presents,
Give you a pat on the back,
Some people
You love, some people
You don’t know
Some people, some people,
You do,
Some people
You notice, some people
Eat cauliflower, some people
Are teenagers,
Some people walk to restaurants,
Sit down at the counter,
Eat there food, through it at
People,
Some people never notice you,
Some people always look, some people
Want to take you away, some people
Will never exist
Some people are other people; some people are you, some people
Die ever second,
Some people are you

Behind closed doors

Doors made of steel
others made of wood
life going on behind them
things that are bad and good.
Doors that are always closed
while some are forever open wide
behind doors can lie secrets
and where people can go to hide.
A door opened to a new future
another one blocking your way
families at war behind the door
but where children can happily play.
Prisoners locked in behind solid doors
waiting for the key to turn in the lock
as lonely people sit in their homes
waiting for someone just to knock.
The doors of Gold created in Heaven
only opened for the chosen few
behind them lies an eternal life
but will they open for me or you?

Corona 2

whatever is good
belongs to the people

the people is the only
good there is

so? work as usual
the people are coming
and you must open
the doors
and serve their
needs

one must go where
the good is
one must march for
the people

let the one who is in power
be beleaguered
let heads roll
let the people have the toll

i am for the people
they are the only good
that we have

the people has decided
your fate
and now you must
gently yield
and accept.

People in my life

Walking down the path of life,
A path often hard, uphill and difficult
I meet people who walk by my side
Some of them choose to touch me
Some of them I touch
Some of them hold my hand and walk with me
All of them scar me somehow

I've met mean people
Violent, angry people
People dark in the soul
People that look good on the outside
People funny and gracious on the surface
But void and empty on the inside
People who try to cover their defects but can't
Emotionally naive, eternally lonely, unhappy and troubled people.

I've met people who step on me to get taller
People who break me to feel better
People who want me for one night only
People who hurt me and don't care
Weird, strange and unstable people
No sense in their behavior
People who take advantage of what I give them
People who don't appreciate me
People who expunge me from their life for good
People who erase me and cancel me with a message
People who refuse to take my calls
People who avoid me like the plague
Irrational people who I want to know better
People who interest me nevertheless...
People who promise won't treat me bad
but do so anyway without explanation
People who reject me abruptly
People who switch me off with the push of a button
People careless about my feelings
Oblivious, confused and indifferent
People who jerk me around for a week
Playing with my vulnerable soul
and toss me in the garbage afterwards.

Why, I ask, why is this happening?
Have normal people disappeared from this world?
Is it me who allows them to step all over me?
Is it my eagerness to meet someone normal
that makes me a magnet for such strange behavior?
Any normal people left out there?
Please come hold my hand
As life's ticking away and I can't hold out any longer
Come and I'll forget all I've been through
I'll try to do it right this time
I'll try to give you just what you need, no more.
Come tonight, I miss you.
I'll be expecting you.

People Need People

People need people to

Put up shelves

To be themselves

And to laugh with

To unblock blocked toilets

To make their sandwhiches

And watch T.V with

People need people
To live with
To argue and forgive with

And to agree to disagree

To have something

To have someone from which to break free!

People need people to

Be quiet

To stage a riot

To eat fish with

Or afternoon tea

To have someone from somewhere to break free from

People need people

To rush with

To crush with

In the first train in

And the last train home

People need people

For someone to be with

To been seen with

And for having a reason for being alone

People need people to sing with

To cry with and die with

To sigh say goodbye with

People need people to get lost in

That early morning frost in the throng

To have someone to fight with

To kiss goodnight with

To simply have somewhere to belong!

And not to belong

After all people need people, big, fat thin, tall, and very small,

People need people that's a fact,

And that's that, and that's all!

I see something wrong

Some people care about,
you.
Some people don't care
Would people listen to,
our lies?
Why are people abused
I see something wrong
There are pretty people
There ugly people
People play
People talk
I'm tired of people messing,
With me.
I guess people hate the truth
Some people are bad
Some people care
Others don't
Why do people cry?
This is life
I don't understand
Some people like to talk
Some people like to walk
Why people argue over nothing?
People act crazy
Why are people always cheating?
People that are lost
I admire people that have respect,
for others.

We are the people of the earth
What really goin on?
I really don't know

Lament For Short People (Fun Poem 12)

Even a tall person to a short person,
their problems I can relate,
tall people bump into low hanging doors,
while short people cannot reach shelves too high.
In shops there are no normal shelves,
some are near the ceiling,
while others are inches from the floor.
Normally the good stuff is put on the top shelf,
where you need a pair of stilts to reach.
Therefore, the short person has to jump up and down,
just like a jack in the box,
for anything they want.
Some short people feel intimidated,
by the tall people that they meet.
They should not be,
because size is not the difference,
but its personalities.
Now if they worked together,
they could walk at the same height.
No man is different from another,
no matter what size he is.
So short and tall people of this word,
I have but one word for both of you - unite.

With Broken People.....

i seem to do better,
to be able to communicate better,
with broken people.
knocked down, bruised, wounded,
devastated by loss,
but still walking people.
people who've tasted love,
who've drank fully from the cup of living,
people with scars....
for these are the people
who have the capacity to fly!
if you've never wrestled demons,
how can you know what an angel is.
if you dont know the depths of darkness,
you will never see the light.
if you've never had to break chains,
how can you know freedom?
these are my people...
my philosophy is kindness,
compassion, and involvement...
my goal, to walk beside!

Hold Me Down

(doug hopkins, robin wilson)
So I guess I must have just been dreaming
When I thought I heard myself say no
Anyway it looks like no one heard me so here I go
Cause when youre in the company of strangers
Or just the strangers you call friends
You know before you start just how its going to end
When the doors swing open and all the drinks are passed around
Anytime the pickins look too easy...hold me down
I cant remember why I like this feeling
When it only seems to let me down
Soon I find Im searching for the exit from the ground
If I think the room is turning faster
Then I think the music is too loud
By then Ive lived another broken story to let me down
When those doors swing open and all the drinks are passed around
When half the party moves into the bathroom...hold me down
Or if youre at the tail end of the evening
And dr. feelgood comes around
Anytime the pickins look too easy...hold me down
Down if I want that part
Down if Ive gone too far
Well I guess I must have just been reeling
When I felt myself begin to fall
I realize Im bounding down the hallways and off the walls
If my bed was standing in the corner
I could just fall into it right now
And know that Id just be staring at the ceiling going round
When those doors swing open and all the drinks are passed around
Anytime the pickins look too easy...hold me down

Change is needed

In 1776, people died for freedom, liberty, Justice
People say it’s what this country was built on
It’s all a lie this country was built on the very things
The pilgrims wished to leave behind
Built on the backs of people sold for trinkets
And as time went on people who looked more and
More like me my fore fathers built this country
Yours watched but that was long ago
So why do we fight only to destroy their work
Our home so why can’t we hold our siblings hand
Only for a few minutes a brief walk just little things
To instill equality, justice, and change
If tomorrow has come then let’s fix where out fore fathers
Went wrong let’s do it for us

Mary Ellen Makes The Moment Count

(paul waaktaar)
Mary cries out: for the love of god
As shes walking out of the laundromat
Down the street and its the short way home
Feeling special cause shes so alone
But we know:
(the worlds full of lonely people)
And it shows
(the worlds full of lonely people)
She shrugs her coat off and unlocks the door
Eats her dinner on the kitchen floor
Writes a poem and turns the radio on
Every singer sings the same old song
And it goes:
(the worlds full of lonely people)
And it shows
(the worlds full of lonely people)
But when we she wanted me to go
She just had to let it show
To bring me down if she wanted me to leave
She just wore it on her sleeve
But at least, I was around
But when we she wanted me to go
She just had to let it show
To bring me down if she wanted me to leave
She just wore it on her sleeve
At least, I was around
Mary ellen makes the moment count
As shes looking through old photographs
Pictures taken from an early age
Faces look back at her from the page
And they say
(the worlds full of lonely people)
Its ok
(the worlds full of lonely people)
Its ok
(the worlds full of lonely people)
But when we she wanted me to go
She just had to let it show
To bring me down if she wanted me to leave
She just wore it on her sleeve
But at least, I was around
I was around
I was around
I was around
Mary ellen makes the moment count

Standing On The Backs

It doesn't matter how high they raise a ceiling.
It is the floor those folks need to put their feet on.
And open a few doors to exchange the foul air.
They've grown too accustomed to themselves.
And have forgotten who has fed their greeding.
As they stand on the backs of people,
Tired of their actions.
And professional abilities to deceive.

Ill Never Say Good-bye

I couldnt believe it the day that you left
Cleaned out your closet, cleared off your shelves
Loaded your car and you drove out of sight
But I never said goodbye
Ill never say goodbye
The doors always open, I leave on a light
Im always waiting in case you drop by
Ill never say goodbye
People have told me you have a new love
My hearts not willing to give up on us
Ive convinced myself theyre just telling me lies
And Ill never say goodbye
Ill never say goodbye
The doors always open, I leave on a light
I never wanted you out of my life
And Ill never say goodbye
Ill never say goodbye
The doors always open, I leave on a light
Ill be loving you till the day that I die
And Ill never say goodbye
