I want to be up front racing.

The Race Of Standing Still
I'm racing racing towards it
Like when I was a small boy
Cutting through a waving field
Decorated by summer sunlight
Unable to remember
Unable to forget
Unable yet at peace
Unable yet scared
I'm racing racing towards it with fear and excitement
They seem unseperable
They seem so far apart
They are my close friends
They are my very ghosts
I'm racing towards it
Holding perfectly still
In the race of standing still

One Chance
We were released in the dark, and we raced along the tunnel,
Left, and then right into the narrowing channel.
Charging, barging, and racing, as if there’s no tomorrow,
no time to rest, no time to look back, no time for sorrow.
Up to the front I’ve got to stay there and keep driving forward.
Damn! Overtaken! I must fight back; I’ve got to go onward.
Furiously we’re all racing first one leader and then another.
Hundreds behind, but who’s in front? Damn! My brother.
I’ve taken the lead, but someone’s trying to come past,
I need more speed and double fast.
There’s only one first, there’s nothing for second,
I must give it my all the finish beckons.
Only the fastest and strongest can enter the ultimate prize,
still further to go and many are falling by my side,
but the steadier paced are trying to catch up with me
and newer leases of life are trying relentlessly.
I’m pulling away; the gap has still got to be increased.
I’m there! I’m first! I’ve entered.., oh, what peace!

A Dead End
When racing motorbikes
around the Isle of Man
one must be aware
of deadly hairpin corners...
one does not see
until it is too late
to avoid or escape
a life racing out of line.
Many a great rider
has died an early death
racing rained, washed out, corners
‘the (sudden) dead don’t see’...
when never
going fast enough
until they have to stop
dead quick.
Attempting to get
a winner’s medal...
when racing the unforgiving
prestigious Isle of Man.

The Intimidator
He knew when he was a boy
that racing was his game
As he got better in his car
They knew he wouldn't be easy to tame
As his racing years went on
he became to many The Intimidator
In the hearts of many and his son
he soon became their main mentor
He is known today as a racing legend
because of his style and races won
We will all remember that fateful day
The Daytona 500, February 18,2001
His name is Dale Earnhardt
and if you ever saw him race
the one thing we will all remember
is his intimidating face

I guess it is the sense of personal satisfaction that racing gives you that I am probably going to miss, because in racing you get that feedback very quickly.

Time My Past My Future! ! !
Time My Past My Future
The time is racing my past behind me
NO!
My past in front,
My future behind,
I wasn't thinking of my future,
I was back in my past.
But now this is my story! ! ! !
A mother who did not love me,
A sister a brother trying to comfort me,
I felt all alone
Now inhale
and
Exhale.
My future
A mother, A brother, once upon a time a father,
But no more
I stride for my future,
Not for my past
I tell you children
NEVER Look Back! ! !
But i do wondering......
I f my past was different would my future be better?
Would it?
Never mind that,
The time is racing to my future
I live for today and NOT tomarrow.
So I Never Look Back.

We were racing at circuits where there were no crash barriers in front of the pits, and fuel was lying about in churns in the pit lane. A car could easily crash into the pits at any time. It was ridiculous.

I Can Take Care of Myself
Emotions racing
Mind's pacing
can't think of what to so
Standing here looking stupid in front of you
I try to stop my cry
Because of all the things you might try
I don't want you to fell sorry for me
I don't need anyone's sympathy
I don't want you to put your arms around me and squeeze tight
I don't want you to tell me it's gonna be alright
Can't you see, I'll be just fine
It's not your problem, it's mine
Don't expect me to cheer up, I won't
I know you wanna help, but don't
When will you learn
This isn't your concern
I can take care of myself without your help

Long Walk
I need a long walk, with someone who knows what to do
I need a long talk, I need a helping hand to pull me through
I need a tall drink, with somebody who cares, I need someone here for company
Its time to rethink and somehow find a way to put an end to this mystery
See I dont know, the pain wont go
And the hurt inside is getting so damn hard to hide
So now I pay the price, I wonder how much its gonna take
Ive gotta roll the dice, and try to take all this heartache
But I still dont know, the pain wont go
And the hurt inside is getting so damn hard to hide
I gotta work it out, cause my heart is still racing, racing away
Work it out, cause my heart is still breaking, hey
So now Ill take this long walk, I dont want anybody listenin
cause I really wanna pour it out, and all went out without ever giving in
But I still dont know, the pain wont go
Im still hurting inside and its so damn hard to hide
You gotta help me work it out, cause my heart is still racing, racing away
Work it out, cause my heart, my heart is breaking away
Ive gotta work this out, cause my heart is still racing away
Yeah, work it out, cause my heart, its so much a part of me
Work it out - gotta work it out
My heart is still racing - and Im wasting away
Work it out - Ive gotta work it out...

Unharnessed
Oh how my mind
keeps racing to you,
no matter what I seem to do.
It stops me dead
right in my tracks.
This is how my mind
reacts- to you.
My thoughts are drifting
just like me,
aimlessly like a log
on the sea.
No destination in my sight,
just endless blue
that keeps my mind unharnessed
and racing back to you.

Blance, where were you...?
Blance, where were you when I was still alive?
come just to think of it, life was a game;
Recall we were racing on Storrow Drive.
Black vanishing plummet, Oettinger strive
race on marginal speed is not to blame
Blance where were you when I was still alive?
Wolf-colder bite November frost to skive;
Vain was this agon for, distance to tame;
Recall we were racing on Storrow Drive.
Breathless our life was at twenty-five,
live dangerous, on road, afore to aim,
Blance where were you when I was still alive?
Selected Nymph, one promise to derive;
She was a softer misty form, my dame;
Recall we were racing on Storrow Drive.
Apotheotic nacreous form, swan dive;
November of anamnesis, became,
Blance where were you when I was still alive?
Recall we were racing on Storrow Drive.

Road racing at the moment because it's still so new to me. I like the fact that they are longer and teamwork is important. I guess the same is true for track, it's just that I have used track this year as a training device to improve my sprinting in road racing.

On The Death Of Peter Hayes
You won't find any life around where his remains will lay
And words of praise won't bring him back his soul has gone away
And though he died young at fifty one suppose he had his day
And for flying in fast planes you might say there is a price to pay.
This morning I heard in the news how Peter Hayes did die
The light plane he and his mate David Noble were in just dropped out of the sky
Near Mildura in Victoria their end came suddenly
A cruel blow to the Horse Racing World and the Hayes family.
A brother to Hong Kong's leading trainer David and the late Colin Hayes eldest son
So much success in horse racing the Hayes family have won
Peter was Victoria's and South Australia's leading trainer and his passing leaves a void
In Horse Racing a household name he was known far and wide.
The Horse Racing World is in shock at the news of the death of Peter Hayes
And though the horse racing writers write the eulogies and heap upon him praise
You won't find any signs of life where his remains will lay
A shy and unconceited man his soul has gone away.

Please Please Me
Please Please Me (Japan Bonus Track) Lyrics
I don't need no one spinning me a line
It's all been done
Cos I know just what I need to satisfy my curiosity
But now you break the code that I can identify
You start it up and you know just what I like
You fit my expectations
And I say Go, Go
*
Why don't ya
Please, please, please me
Anyway you can turn it on
See where I'm coming from
Please, please, please me
What a girl like me, could do with someone like you
Na na na na na na
What I could do with someone like you
Na na na na na na
WHat I could do with someone like you
I could be impressed
So put your reputation to the test
Just give me something I can't ignore
You got an invitation to explore
Now I'm racing ahead but you're right in front of me
Something about you that I find unsettling
I'm anticipating
Don't say No No
*repeat
Whenever I'm near you
Whenever I see you
Whenever I do
*repeat

Up Front
(r. parker, jr.)
I wanna get it straight up front
Lets tell each other what we want
So we can both decide up front
If we like it or we dont
Just as long as Im single
Im gonna do what the heck I please
And I dnt feel its fair
For you to be restricting me
If you want a serious commitment
You gotta first make one yourself
If you want it one sided
Youd netter find somebody else
I wanna get it straight up front
Lets tell each other what we want
So we can both decide up front
If we like it or we dont
Now Ive been in relatioships
Where Ive given all of myself
I did everything for him
He did everyrthing for someone else
Now dont musuderstand me
Im not prejudging you
But if you plan to fool around
Let me know so I can do it too
I wanna get it straight up front
Lets tell each other what we want
So we can both decide up front
If we like it or we dont
Now I know everything cant be predicted
Because love dont work that way
But we can at least agree on the rules
Before we start to play
I wanna get it straight up front
Lets tell each other what we want
So we can both decide up front
If we like it or we dont

Jumping Horses
As you step into the arena,
Your heart rushes,
Horse following close behind,
Giving you steady nudges.
You mount yourself slowly into the English saddle
You move toward the jump.
Faster, faster.
Your feet ready in the stirrups
In jumping position,
As you grow closer to the jump
You are overcome by a weird sensation,
A sensation of happiness, nervousness, and excitement
As you post you feel the heart rate of the horse.
You are both one.
Faster, and faster still,
You feel as if you where flying,
Your horse raises its front legs,
You are flying!
Over the jump you feel relaxed,
You feel great.
You draw your horse to a slow gait,
Your heart racing.
Again and again you jump
15 minutes pass you loose time,
You slow down.
The horse’s heart is racing to the pace of yours,
You slow to a halt
Lower yourself from his back,
You pat him congratulate him,
And return the tack.
(Pause)
Jumping… Such a wonderful feeling,
Your heart rushing!

Down the seafront tonight - Pinewood Royal
Tall ships in the harbour
Waiting for a sailing far away
Stones across the water
Herring gulls drifting across the bay
Painted lady in the garden
The Blackcap sings from early dawn
The warm air slumbers
Soothing the Trevello Lawn
On the red cliffs of The Berry
The lighthouse shines till early dawn
We're going down
Down to the sea front tonight
We're going down
Down to the sea front tonight
We're going down to where the lights, the lights are shining bright
On the sea front you can see the rows of coloured lights
We're going down
Down to the sea front tonight
We're going down
Down to the sea front tonight
Just you and I
The bright lights sparkle
On the sea front walking by
The ice cream parlour
Fairground rides and coconut shy
Ocean going liners
Cabin lights blazing wave goodbye
White horses in the moonlight
Constellations across the sky
Red glow from leaded windows
A summer's evening in July
We're going down
Down to the sea front tonight
We're going down
Down to the sea front tonight
We're going down to where the lights, the lights are shining bright
On the sea front you can see the rows of coloured lights
We're going down
Down to the sea front tonight
We're going down
Down to the sea front tonight
Just you and I
