A friend of mine described it this way: When they were born it was like a meteor landed in our house and blew everything apart. We had to just put all the pieces back.

The Houses
1898 -- A Song of the Dominions
'Twixt my house and thy house the pathway is broad,
In thy house or my house is half the world's hoard;
By my house and thy house hangs all the world's fate,
On thy house and my house lies half the world's hate.
For my house and thy house no help shall we find
Save thy house and my house -- kin cleaving to kind;
If my house be taken, thine tumbleth anon.
If thy house be forfeit, mine followeth soon.
'Twixt my house and thy house what talk can there be
Of headship or lordship, or service or fee?
Since my house to thy house no greater can send
Than thy house to my house -- friend comforting friend;
And thy house to my house no meaner can bring
Than my house to thy house -- King counselling King.

Tonight
blew, blew away
but i don't wanna fade
blew, blew, oooh
and if you love her
you know it will come true
and if you need her
you know that she'll be there
stay awake, i lie here
with her and i fall
and when i wake inside you
i know you know i'm yours
blew, blew away
but I don't wanna fade
blew, blew, oooh
and if you're sad, too
until the angel sings and touches you
don't confuse my only life
i said blew, and please don't ever leave
And i will greive, and (re)member thee
Hope to meet you there
(solo)
i wanna let her know
And i wanna let her go
i wanna let her know
That i love her so
i'm blew, blew, blew away
but I don't wanna-
blew, I love you
blew

The big, huge meteor headed toward the Earth. Could nothing stop it Maybe Bob could. He was suddenly on top of the meteor---through some kind of space warp or something. 'Go, Bob, go' yelled one of the generals. 'Give me that' said the big-guy general as he took the microphone away. 'Listen, Bob,' he said. 'You've got to steer that meteor away from Earth.' 'Yes, but how' thought Bob. Then he got an idea. Right next to him there was a steering wheel sticking out of the meteor.

That's when I hit the ground. So in the instant that that round landed and blew me in the air, I had those separate and distinct thoughts. The guy who was standing right next to where I had been standing had a hole in his back I could put my fist into.

I can only rest in peace with all pieces of my heart joined!
No barriers can separate hearts,
no grave is deep enough to bury feelings,
revolving billion times for billion years,
round and round around galaxies,
in that grand explosion of star,
pieces of my heart spread on earth!
Finding those on this green planet,
I descended,
hoping to pick pieces of my heart,
finding myself and collecting pieces,
o soul-mates, without you I am helpless,
with hope and faith I live here!
Neither born nor die i may be,
without collecting pieces of heart,
those pieces stuck in friends hearts,
their thoughts are mine own!
Can I stay here long, not my home,
it is their love that brought me here,
someday I rest in peace when only
all pieces of my heart joined together

The Package
Clever got me this far
Then tricky got me in
Eye on what I'm after
I don't need another friend
Smile and drop the cliche
'Till you think I'm listening
I take just what I came for
Then I'm out the door again
Peripheral on the package
Don't care to settle in
Time to feed the monster
I don't need another friend
Comfort is a mystery
Crawling out of my own skin
Just give me what I came for, then I'm out the door again
Lie to get what I came for
Lie to get just what I need
Lie to get what I crave
Lie and smile to get what's mine
Eye on what I'm after
I don't need another friend
Nod and watch your lips move
If you need me to pretend
Because clever got me this far
Then tricky got me in
I'll take just what I came for
Then I'm out the door again
Lie to get what I came for
Lie to get what I need now
Lie to get what I'm craving
Lie and smile to get what's mine
Give this to me
Mine, mine, mine
Take what's mine
Mine, mine, mine
Take what's mine
Mine, mine, mine
Lie to get what I came for
Lie to get what I need now
Lie to get what I crave
Lie to smile and get what's mine
Give this to me
Take what's mine
Mine, mine, mine
Take what's mine
Give this to me
Take what's mine, take what's mine, mine...
Take what's mine, take what's mine, take what's mine,
This is mine, mine, mine, not mine

The Ending Silence Of Departure
when the house breaks
like a porcelain plate
tiny pieces can hurt
the hands and feet
i know the reason of my birth
i will be the one to pick
the broken pieces
days and nights my fingers
busy on the piecing
tears are glue and
sobriety is the faithful
house help
the ruins stand back
the house takes a ball of light
on top of the
cliff
a lighthouse summoning ships
to take the safe path
collisions are avoidance
and parting becomes new meetings
a hug is the cure for all these
lonely stories, the ending is
the silence of departing.

Seans In The Sky
-daddy, when did we have no house?
-when?
-when, when did we have no house and we rented this house?
-in 1973, we didnt have this house, yet, thats when we bought this house
-oh!
-two years before you were born
-oh, and I just wasnt coming with you? to find this house?
-no, well you werent born yet. you were still in the sky.
-oh, and when I came back, was down here, what did I went in?
-a little, a little cardboard box. with a little blanket in, little teeny tiny
Teeny tiny little boy in a little tiny cardboard box. they used to have apples in it, hmm
You used to do this here.
-a apple box!
-well, a little cardboard box, you see. like they bring groceries in. and it was you instead of the groceries.

Mine All Mine
Forgive me father
For I have sinned
Ive been through hell and back again
Shook hands with the devil
Looked him in the eye
Looked like a long lost friend
Anything you want
Any dirty deeds
Hes got everything
Except what I really need
Keepin me temporarily satisfied
But not one thing I tried
Filled me up inside
Or felt like mine
Mine, all mine
Yeah, the search goes on
The more I look
My world keeps getting smaller
Staring at the sun
Searchin for the light
Almost ended up blinded
Some only see
What they want to see
Claiming victory
Oh, but thats not me
Give me truth
Give me something real
I just want to feel
Like its
Mine, all mine
Oh really mine, all mine
Come on give me something
Something thats mine, all mine, all mine
Mine, all mine
All the words on the wall
Look the same in the mirror
Every riddle
Every clue
You got allah in the east
You got jesus in the west
Christ, whats a man to do?
Theyll find a cure for anything
Just kill the pain
Numb my brain
We see a man
Speaking the word of god
Provin to be a fraud
His own church applauds
Stop lookin out
Start lookin in
Be your own best friend
Stand up and say
Hey! this is mine
All mine, all mine, all mine
Baby, you got something
And I got something
And its mine, all mine, all mine
Mine, all mine
Mine, all mine
Yes, Im searching
Mine, all mine
Got to have it
Mine, all mine
Mine, all mine

Granny
Through every nook and every cranny
The wind blew in on poor old Granny
Around her knees, into each ear
(And up nose as well, I fear)
All through the night the wind grew worse
It nearly made the vicar curse
The top had fallen off the steeple
Just missing him (and other people)
It blew on man, it blew on beast
It blew on nun, it blew on priest
It blew the wig off Auntie Fanny-
But most of all, it blew on Granny!

He Was A Friend Of Mine
He was a friend of mine
He was a friend of mine
Every time I think about him now
Lord I just cant keep from cryin
cause he was a friend of mine
He died on the road
He died on the road
He never had enough money
To pay his room or board
And he was a friend of mine
I stole away and cried
I stole away and cried
cause I never had too much money
And I never been quite satisfied
And he was a friend of mine
He never done no wrong
He never done no wrong
A thousand miles from home
And he never harmed no one
And he was a friend of mine
He was a friend of mine
He was a friend of mine
Every time I hear his name
Lord I just cant keep from cryin
cause he was a friend of mine.

Love Made Me Do It
Alarm clock rang 'bout a quarter 'till eight
Before I even got up, I was runnin' late
Crashed through the door about half past ten
Boss man waitin' when I walked in
I said...
Love made me do it
Love made me do it
Can't get enough of that woman of mine
Boss said I blew it, but love made me do it
The boys were going fishing at the Cherokee River
Said I'd meet them there, but I couldn't deliver
She was drowning me in a river of love
We were in deep 'till the sun came up
Love made me do it
Love made me do it
Can't get enough of that woman of mine
The boys said I blew it, but love made me do it
I don't feel bad 'cause I'm not to blame
I've got a heart for her that can't be tamed
A once track mind on a runaway rail
I can't help it I'm under her spell
Love made me do it
Love made me do it
Can't get enough of that woman of mine
They all said I blew it, but love made me do it
I said love made me do it
Can't get enough of that woman of mine
They all said I blew it, but love made me do it
Love made me do it
Love sweet love

Complicated Lifestyle.
a man's life is simple.
he has a routine, like this: house, office, house.
he gets bored, adds another place,
like house, office, park, mall, house,
waste of money, but a little interesting, he adds more
a friend's house, another house where he can be intimate with someone,
then sex, and games and romance and betrayal and use and sue and
lots of booze,
he retreats back to house, office, house,
but it is not the same again.
he sins, feels so broke, and
to a certain extent
attempts at suicide.
sad, but it can happen to you.

I Have A Friend
I have a friend who cannot walk
I have a friend all he does is talk
I have a friend, Philippe is his name
I have a friend and we are just the same
I have a friend he’s seventeen years old
I have a friend who has a heart of gold
I have a friend who would catch me if I fall
It is only that he has no legs at all
I have a friend and when my friend was seven
A car ran over him and he almost went to heaven
I have a friend with a smile that I adore
I have a friend who lives in a house of four
I have a friend his family is his home
I have a friend who dreams of visiting Rome
I have a friend who is still finishing school
Yet some people tell him that for that he is a fool
I have a friend they say he is disabled
He has no legs and for that he is labeled
I have a friend who has a friend
They were made for each other; their love will never end
I have a friend who likes to name the stars
I have a friend and what he hates is cars
I have a friend who’s happier than you and me
I have a friend who’s shown me how happy I can be
I have a friend who’s had his bad times too
I have a friend who’s better than me and you
I have a friend so dear to me and kind
That another one like him I shall never find!

Cloud 9
Have my love
It fits you like a glove
Join my dream, tell me yes
Bail out should there be a mess
The pieces you dont need are mine
Take my time
Ill show you cloud nine
Take my smile and my heart
They were yours from the start
The pieces to omit are mine
Have my love
Use it while it does you good
Share my highs but the times
That it hurts pay no mind
The pieces you dont need are mine
Ill see you there on cloud nine
Take my hope
Maybe even share a joke
If theres good to be shown
You may make it all your own
And if you want to quit thats fine
While youre out looking for cloud nine

Considerations About Love!
A friend of mine!
trying understand me, asked me
What your inspiration?
I tell him! Is about love?
Is about life? or how difficult the both can be?
So try be owner of one person
try shut up all your screams
pretend that he or she is yours
and treat him like it something
Pick up your love and say
you are mine!
not for love but for my possesion
pick up your son and with proud said
he is mine, all mine
And have no doubt
he goes far away from you
and never goes back
because love has to be freedom
Love has to be right to go
And if you really love someone
have to let him go and say
I love you i'll be there if you back
Say to him, i love you
But your hapiness came first
near me or away from me
So Go, i wait for you
So if really love is
they back, because my love
your love and our love
has to be the right to go and back
If he wants!

Almost
Id travel oh so far
To be where you are
Id travel there by car
To be where you are
But if I get there Id find
That Id change my mind
It happens all the time
To a friend of mine
Always making statements
And moving step by step
Always acting theories
I will regret
My only consolation
In the things that Ive done
Are the people who know me
And the objects I own
Happens all the time
To a friend of mine
Happens all the time
To a friend of mine
Happens all the time
To a friend of mine
Happens all the time
To a friend of mine
Happens all the time

Friend Of Mine
Are you feelin that your on the brink
Of spilling some red in the sink
It wasn't the easiest year
No I don't want you to go
Are the memories too hard to take
Rape is a word with a face
No I don't want you to go
You know I don't want you to go
Friend of mine stay alive
Don't you leave me here
All alone in a world with a chronic tear
I will always be here, I will always be here
I will always be here for you
We walked the promenade in the rain
With velcrow shoes and an ice cream stain
You've the only one who understands
Remember the place that direction you wake
And help save your generation
No I don't want you to go
You know we don't want you to go
Friend of mine stay alive
Don't you leave me here
All alone in a world with a chronic tear
I will always be here, I will always be here
I will always be here for you
Don't look back
The past is just that
We are We are We are We are
Awake
Friend of mine stay alive
Don't you leave me
Friend of mine stay alive
Don't you leave me
I will always be here
I will always be here
Friend of mine stay alive
Don't you leave me here
All alone in a world with a chronic tear
I will always be here, I will always be here
I will always be here for you

If You're My Friend
If you are my friend why have you not spoken the words?
If you are my friend why have you turned and walked away?
If you are my friend why have you taken the other side?
If you are my friend why have you insulted me?
If I am your friend treat me with some respect.
If you are my friend then don’t ignore me.
If you are my friend then don’t laugh at my falls.
If you are my friend then don’t humiliate me.
If I am your friend, I can’t be your stupid pet!
If I am your friend show it!
If you’re my friend state it,
With all of the warmth, and meaning
Like a true friend of mine would.

Keep Off That Friend Of Mine
Keep off of that friend of mine, ah-ah-ah
He's not for you, ah-ah-ah
He just wants to spin you a line, ah-ah-ah
There's nothin' new ah-ah-ah
Just one thought on his mind
You know it's that kind you shoulda
Known when you met him you must be blind
Seems like only yesterday
That girl was mine in every way
People couldn't part us if they tried
Now she's turned her head away
She's lost her smile she's not so gay
Won't you come back to my side
Keep off of that friend of mine, ah-ah-ah
He's not for you, ah-ah-ah
He just wants to spin you a line, ah-ah-ah
There's nothin' new ah-ah-ah
Just one thought on his mind

Now she's turned her head away
