To stay is a myth
The Nobel prizes, the Oscar awards,
The Beauty Crowns and the Olympic medals
Are the highest orders, most covetable.
Who knows or remember the winners’ names?
How fast you forget yesterday’s heroes!
You still remember who impacted you
As the beloved, the friends and the teachers
Who aren’t any celebrates though.
That the famous is to stay long, is a myth.

It is my express wish that in awarding the prizes no consideration be given to the nationality of the candidates, but that the most worthy shall receive the prize, whether he be Scandinavian or not.

When I was young my Father used to tell me that the two most worthwhile pursuits in life were the pursuit of truth and of beauty and I believe that Alfred Nobel must have felt much the same when he gave these prizes for literature and the sciences.

Disgrace There Is No Escape
Disgrace, there is no Escape.
There was this Norwegian, a gifted violinist he had won prizes in Moscow
and Warsaw, His debut was held in Oslo community hall, yes, the same
place the Nobel committee glad hands peace prizes to the mostly unworthy.
He played an Edward Grieg piece. Everything went well the public gasped
at his ability, then an accident, his trousers fell down, he wore pink lady
knickers. A shocked silence, then a titter, but soon laughter rolled around
the hall. The unlucky fiddler stopped playing couldn’t understand way
the audience laughed, till he looked down, saw his trousers rest on his shoes.
He tried to pull up his pants, lost his violin, stumbled and fell. The laughter
was merciless and never ending. He fled the country as a second cook on
ship bound for Argentina. There he got a job as a cowhand on a ranch in
the deepest pampas and grew a beard. Two years later thinking all was
behind him a newcomer came to the ranch, looked at the violinist and said:
” aren’t you the bloke who lost his trousers? ”

If bringing up the next generation is important, why aren't they the best qualified, the best paid? Why aren't we as concerned about their career progression as we are about those who work in the education or health services?

Scavenger Hunt
It is important to them.
Why aren't you participating?
'It's been important for the past 50 years.
And what is clear to them now,
Has faded from my top ten long ago.
Oil and water just does not mix.
Even when vinegar has been applied to it.
No matter how 'sweet' those rancid apples use to appear.
Now that those who have grown older,
Find deceit and their dishonesty losing appeal.
They want to quote scriptures.
With an undying love to uplift their fellowmen.
As if the bitterness they've consciously inflicted,
Is going to vaporize and disappear.
I prefer not to be exposed to that much magic.
Pretense is important to them.
They wouldn't recognize truth or reality,
If lit with neon lights in a clear night sky!
Everything about them has been fantasized.
They are mutants of affectations.
And fearing anything that remotely exposes truth.
That's why I am not participating,
To uncover the 'known' in such a 'scavenger hunt'.
I've forgiven.
But not yet stupid enough to forget.'
It's just a reunion!
'Of what? '

If I Ever Forget You
If i ever forget you,
the sun would forget
to shine nor the moon
at night.
If i ever forget you,
ants would forget to gather
food and the fish would
forget how to swim.
If i ever forget you,
the river would forget the
sea and the sunflower would
forget to gaze at the sun.
If i ever forget you,
babies would forget how
to crawl and cock would
forget how to crow.
If i ever forget you,
farmers would forget there
path and humans would forget
there name.
If i ever forget you,
the tree would forget to
bear fruit and demons would
forget to do evil.
If i ever forget you.
i will never forget you.

Invite
Come and paint for your friends
Show your passion for the colors
The vibrancy of colors for everyone to see
The Orange and blue combination, maybe.
You will be enthralled by a master wizard
Irrespective of heavy rain or a blizzard
You can learn a trick or two!
And maybe show a few of them too.
It is the anniversary week at our office
Where you will be entertained with a new code
Joy, fun and laughter for each and everyone
And you can get a lot of work done
You have an opportunity to paint a wall
Your paintings shall be standing tall
For all the staff and customers for ever
The vibrancy retained will be our endeavour.
Lots of work to be done
Lots of prizes to be won
Don’t forget to remind your mother\father
Or the prizes will go to some other.

To my mind, the most important aspect of the Nobel Awards is that they bring home to the masses of the peoples of all nations, a realization of their common interests. They carry to those who have no direct contact with science the international spirit.

You'll Do
I realized long ago,
There are no huge plans for me
There will be no fanfare as I pass through
My meat pie destiny.
There are no Nobel Prizes,
To proclaim my importance by,
No Academy Awards,
No private jet from which I fly.
The world did not get curious
Or ponder what I would become
Turns out I'm just a plain Jane girl
With a slightly enlarged bum.
And there you are my husband,
With equally echoed dreams,
Reverberating behind you,
With all you could have been.
There are no sun filled yacht trips,
Through the Caribbean sea,
No cocktails in the parlour,
For the likes of you and me.
We haven't burnt our bridges,
For they were never put there at the start,
So it looks like we'll be bored to death,
Until the day we part.
Romance is really not my thing
Just between me and you,
But it's with a heartfelt up and down
That I look at ya and think 'You'll do'

Vitamin C
How I love you, Vitamin C
bouncer of the body's toxicity
firming up the skin, we see
speeding neural signals over
synapses..
so that we more quickly see
*********
(It's better to get Vitamin C in
uncooked fruit than in pills, but
if one purchases pills know that
stearate, glycerine, whey, MSG,
and natural flavor are terms for
animal products and other toxins
added to pills.
No animal product has vitamin C and
it is destroyed by cooking heat.
Linus Pauling, only person to win Nobel
Prizes both in peace and biochemistry..
studied vitamin C.)
