Older Than dirt, Dumb As A Rock
Older than dirt
Dumb as a rock
That’s what I’ve been called
And it comes as no shock
Cause I have gotten older
And I have gotten dumber
And I possibly could have seen
My very last summer
But I don’t regret getting’ dumber
And I know getting’ older is tough
What I do regret tho’…
is not getting’ enough

I'm very pleased with each advancing year. It stems back to when I was forty. I was a bit upset about reaching that milestone, but an older friend consoled me. 'Don't complain about growing old - many, many people do not have that privilege.'

Note the difference between a right and a privilege. A right, in the abstract, is a fact; it is not a thing to be given, established, or conferred; it is. Of the exercise of a right power may deprive me; of the right itself, never. Privilege, in the abstract, does not exist; there is no such thing. Rights recognized, privilege is destroyed. But, in the practical, the moment you admit a supreme authority, you have denied rights. Practically the supremacy has all the rights, and no matter what the human race possesses, it does so merely at the caprice of that authority.

Older They Grow But Not Up
Older they grow,
But not up!
Many never experience a maturity.
Raised on entertaining limited thoughts.
And few have abilities,
To comprehend little of what they read.
Or take the responsibility,
To hold themselves accountable...
For actions begun and those they leave.
Older they grow,
But not up!
And demands they make,
To satisfy their spoiled ways.
Since no one around them wants to hear them fuss.
Realizing not one of those fussers who also cuss,
Wants to take a position,
To make a decisive decision.
Since accusations are prioritized in their lives lived,
As a must.
And expectations are less for them.
For those exposed to them growing older...
Knowing these minds have no time left.
For them to show a growing up,
With a thoughtfulness.
Older they may grow...
But for them it sure is not up!

Everyone Is Growing Older
Between warring Countries hostilities do not last
And 'tis true your friend of tomorrow may be your foe of the past
But life goes on as usual that's how it seems to be
And we make friends with the old foe to fight our new common enemy
And everyone grows older but few grow wise and gray
For we still glorify the folly of war in the World of today
And we find things in common when we have a common foe
But as we do grow older few of us do wiser grow,
We celebrate war heroes to die in war is not seen as a sin
And when one war it is over another war begin
To use the name of God in war seems hypocritical that would seem fair to say
And to Moses fifth commandment respect we never pay
Crimes of hate and xenophobia sad to say are on the rise
And everyone is growing older but so few are growing wise.

The Bent And The Broken
THE BENT AND THE BROKEN
The bent and the broken
And the mind-lost and the mad
Canes walkers wheelchairs
Irritable angry sad.
Older and older
Sadder and more sad
I am growing older
How can life be glad?

Life Of A Salesman
What's a dad for dad?
Tell me why I'm here dad
Whisper in my ear that I'm growing up to be a better man, dad
Everything is fine dad
Proud that you are mine dad
Cause I know I'm growing up to be a better man
Father I will always be
That same boy that stood by the sea
And watched you tower over me
Now I'm older I wanna be the same as you
What's a dad for dad?
Taught me how to stand, dad
Took me by the hand and you showed me how to be a bigger man, dad
Listen when you talk, dad
Follow where you walk, dad
And you know that I will always do the best I can
I can
Father I will always be (always be)
That same boy that stood by the sea
And watched you tower over me (over me)
Now I'm older I wanna be the same as you
The same as you
Father I will always be
That same boy that stood by the sea
And watched you tower over me
Now I'm older I wanna be the same as you
When I am a dad, dad x2
I'm gonna be a good dad x2
Do the best you could, dad x2
Always understood, dad x2
Tell me I was right, dad x2
Opened up my eyes, dad x2
Glad to call you my, dad x2
Thank you for my dad x2

So Much Reality Is Unreal....
when i first saw it
and i was young then, young as
uncut as i was once,
it was like i was sucked and
swallowed and
i could not find myself
where i was,
i was lost in the
whirlpool of
the recent and the
unaccounted,
i did not regret when
it first happened,
i was caught and i could not
just escape and i loved
it when i was in that
prison
it was exciting
and i was like a Pepsi cola
bubbling
then i frequented the occurrences
it was like bathing in the river
washing myself,
drying and diving and retrieving myself
again and again
as though i am
both bait and hook and
trap
i was always caught
and i did not mind it
i simple loved what was
happening
as an oppression
of the corporal works of
'love'
then i got older
older and older and then these matters
are nothing but works
of art, literature, and mumbo-jumbo
there is nothing magical anymore
and come to think of it
i feel so guilty
that this reality does not
make me live
so much of it
so much of the reality of pain and
regret and
guilt
is so
unreal.

Man is proud though.
Yet, he took pride about himself
When his actress wife bore him a child,
A privilege she had denied
To many heroes she slept with.

Reasons I Cheat
A working day to long when everything goes wrong
And a boss who dont know Im alive
I once had a notion Id get that promotion,
But now I barley survive
A wife to demanding with no understanding
Of why I stay dead on my feet
A dimly lit tavern a willing young woman
Are some of the reasons I cheat
The hair that Im losing and a women whos choosing
To lay sound asleep by my side
The bills they are mounting thats when I start counting
On someone to help sooth my pride
A lady that knows me affection she shows me and a smile so easy and sweet
The dreams that Ive buried the load that Ive carried
Are some of the reasons I cheat
My children keep on growing me age keeps on showing
Like all of my old friends I meet
So Im getting older my lifes growing colder
Just some of the reasons I cheat
Yes Im getting older my lifes growing colder
Just some of the reasons I cheat

Dont Be Denied
When I was a young boy,
My mama said to me
Your daddys leavin home today,
I think hes gone to stay.
We packed up all our bags
And drove out to winnipeg.
When we got to winnipeg
I checked in to school.
I wore white bucks on my feet,
When I learned the golden rule.
The punches came fast and hard
Lying on my back in the school yard.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Well pretty soon I met a friend,
He played guitar.
We used to sit on the steps at school
And dream of being stars.
We started a band,
We played all night.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Oh canada
We played all night
I really hate to leave you now
But to stay just wouldnt be right.
Down in hollywood
We played so good
The businessmen crowded around
They came to hear the golden sound
There we were on the sunset strip,
Playing our songs for the highest bid.
We played all night
The price was right.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Dont be denied, dont be denied.
Well, all that glitters isnt gold
I know youve heard that story told.
And Im a pauper in a naked disguise
A millionaire through a business mans eyes.
Oh friend of mine
Dont be denied.

Knowledge
Knowledge is power
A chop-chop growing flower
knowledge is dangerous
An overdosing negative force
And I have been walking its path
Right from the the start with my heart
Acknowledging it as a perfect invention
That can set me free or put me in detention
Knowledge is a privilege
It could place you at the cutting edge
When you pledge
To make it your privilege
Born are great deeds and weeds
As knowledge plants seeds
But Knowledge can deceive
At the end you choose what to believe

Remorse & Regret
Remorse the feeling of regret
the regret of doing a event
The alarm of Knowing your Human
-
The feeling of which we all like Kill
The feeling that comes, when murder happens
But is unseen, neither Good, Bad
Just Unknown
-
Death, abuse, Blood, carnage
None of it is Ne or Unknown to it
Its just unknown to itself
-
No mercy in spreading itself
No remorse...
just regret and Fear, its job
building and growing like Cancer
Until you self-destruct
-
Remorse does its job
and so does Karma
But never equally...

Old Gold Veterans
Build a new ship in the shipyard of Mankind
That never sinks in the Seven Seas
And sail the ship with all the Veterans in an auspicious time
That heads to the land of Hermits
Where there are no any wars at all.
* Almost Heaven!
Life is older there
Older than the trees
Younger than the Mountains
Growing like a breeze.

Regret's A Cold Companion
Regret's no consolation
For things no longer near
Regret's no panacea
For problems that were clear
Regret's a backward looking
For things that were to last
For hopes that were to happen
Now firm stuck in the past
Regret's a cold companion
Regret's a dulling force
Regret finds its own dominion
In that process called divorce.

Can't Denied
things like a kiss i just can't denied
no matter how far we are
how angry we are
but once we touch
we just can't denied
the way we are holding
touching each other
kissing each other
your world is my life
your kiss is my drug
baby, how can't you see that i love you
why can't you see the love i have for you
i just can't denied your kiss
the look of your eyes
when i look through
i see crystals
i just can't denied
i tried
but tears fall from my eyes
can't denied
