Competition between individuals sets one against the other and undermines morale, but competition between organizations builds morale and encourages creativity.

Stiff Competition
Stiff competition
If i go up-you take me higher
Stiff competition
And when i'm down- you take me higher
There's stiff competition all over the world
I screw you-you screw me-they screw us
Here we go again
Oh- but we have so much fun, so much fun
When we're together
When we're together
When we're together-now
I looked hard in your eyes
It was love at first sight
It took me minutes-you're still waiting
Waiting for your turn, you turn
It won't be long
Stiff competition
I work hard-every day of my life
Stiff competition
Get it up-you take me higher
Stiff competition
All over the world
The more i get- the more i like it
The bigger they are- the harder they fall
Again
Stiff competition

In this day and time, with no competition you are really walking a tightrope. I mean you may think that no competition is good, but in reality no competition is really bad.

The kind of society which we still have is maybe, in some cases, getting worse. Competition is becoming a virtue. Intense competition drives people to go more and more into self-interest. Even to see other folks as competition.

Figli Di Pitagora
Siamo figli di Pitagora e di Casadei
Di Macchiavelli e di Tot
Cresciuti con una morale cattolica
E con i Depeche Mode
Siamo figli di Pitagora e di Trinit
Di Michelangelo e Dario Fo
cresciuti con una morale cattolica
E con i Depeche Mode
E con i Depeche Mode...
Everywhere
we have been everywhere
we 've broken barricades
thanks to the fathers we've had
Who knows how many men
will go along our way
We're living every day
Never forgetting where we're from
Siamo figli di Pitagora e di Casadei
Di Macchiavelli e di Tot
Cresciuti con una morale cattolica
E con i Depeche Mode
Siamo figli di Pitagora e di Trinit
Di Michelangelo e Dario Fo
cresciuti con una morale cattolica
E con i Depeche Mode
E con i Depeche Mode...
Motherland
As well as fatherland
Some say godfatherland
But that's the land that we have
Who knows how many men
Will go along our way
We're living every day
Never forgetting where we're from
Siamo figli di Pitagora e di Casadei
Di Macchiavelli e di Tot
Cresciuti con una morale cattolica
E con i Depeche Mode
Siamo figli di Pitagora e di Trinit
Di Michelangelo e Dario Fo
cresciuti con una morale cattolica
E con i Depeche Mode
E con i Depeche Mode...
Siamo figli di Pitagora e di Casadei
Di Macchiavelli e di Tot
Cresciuti con una morale cattolica

Address of a New Poetess To All Poets Here
As I open my partner this site I see
And closing it too, this site I live
In my mind and my heart I smiled gently
Jessie, at last the search you see.
I joined and left some sites I register
Thought it's nice I registered as a member
Poetry and friendship I want to share
But in the end discrimination reigns.
Ratings and comments really boost morale
Spirits rises get inspired and poetic as I
Creative and imaginative minds do survive
Knowledge, talents hidden or not described.
Surfing the web for my compositions
A poet friend introduced this portion
Sharing in my heart I thought I found
Comments and ratings not in my mind.
They are good if one needs a push
It is a flavor that a creative may savor
But to the competitors it's not a favor
Bet, surely come and show real color.
As I read and commented to a poem
Reading the history of her comments
Rise both my brows I was surprised,
Here too, a competition trouble arise?
Where on web can I join and may find
A place where no feuds and race arise?
Or can we just let that comments be
A guide for better and competition free?

I think it is absolutely essential in a democracy to have competition in the media, a lot of competition, and we seem to be moving away from that.

I kinda see everyone as competition. I'm a very competitive person. But I think that's good. Competition is great. And as long as it's friendly and not a malicious thing, then I think it's cool.

No Challenge
I will admit this!
I am not in competition with you!
I am in competition with myself!
And trust me...
I don't think I am going to find,
A stronger competitor!
It's not about ego that inspires.
It's about self recognition...
That never seems to satisfy
My thirst to outdo myself!
And I knew there would be problems...
The moment I discovered you to be no challenge at all!

Science would be ruined if (like sports) it were to put competition above everything else, and if it were to clarify the rules of competition by withdrawing entirely into narrowly defined specialties. Morale Not Reality Ultimate Difference Makes
aspirations faith hope morale seeds
are set chameleons mood weathered
upon daily small climatic changes
catastrophic sudden shifting events
trials tribulations weigh purchases
on our hearts according to inconstant
emotions when spark of hope is lost
absolute truth defeats not our dreams
morale not reality ultimate difference makes
hearts without hope crumble into lifeless dust
inspiration belief great leadership instills
new hopes to believe chill reality denies
souls will rejoice struggle in noble causes
even if hard logic no hope optimism gives

I started singing about three years ago, I entered a local singing competition called Stratford Idol. The other people in the competition had been taking singing lessons and had vocal coaches. I wasn't taking it too seriously at the time, I would just sing around the house. I was only 12 and I got second place.
