For a while, even in the house of good friends for dinner or for cocktails, they would really be upset. They thought I had single-handedly destroyed the best phone service in the world.

Cocktails with Tashi
Cocktails with Tashi
A ritual Marcia started
for she never drinks alone
she has cocktails with Tashi
in her Palm Beach condo home
Marcia drinks a semi sweet French wine
Tashi has her cocktail of broken bar of unsalted rice
Everything is very fine around five five thirty dinner time
Tashi won’t eat dinner until her cocktail is gone
By then Marcia’s toes are lit and she’s singing a happy song
“Cocktails with Tashi is the song she sings
Marcia has this ritual with Tashi, it’s a wonderful bonding thing

The Houses
1898 -- A Song of the Dominions
'Twixt my house and thy house the pathway is broad,
In thy house or my house is half the world's hoard;
By my house and thy house hangs all the world's fate,
On thy house and my house lies half the world's hate.
For my house and thy house no help shall we find
Save thy house and my house -- kin cleaving to kind;
If my house be taken, thine tumbleth anon.
If thy house be forfeit, mine followeth soon.
'Twixt my house and thy house what talk can there be
Of headship or lordship, or service or fee?
Since my house to thy house no greater can send
Than thy house to my house -- friend comforting friend;
And thy house to my house no meaner can bring
Than my house to thy house -- King counselling King.

Had To Phone Ya
Had to phone ya
Had to phone ya just to talk to you
Had to phone ya just to tell ya I was missing you
It lifts my spirits every single time
Sometimes youre busy for awhile
But when you get through
It makes me smile
A-when I phone ya
Californias not so far away
Youre not alone ya know Im only just a dial away
I visualize that youre looking fine
Feels so good when you come on the line
You (you) you (you) you (you) you (you)
You (you) you (you) you (you) you (you)
You (you) you (you) you (you) you (you)
You (you) you (you) you (you)
Come on
Come on and answer the phone
Come on come on
(I hope your home)
Come on and answer the phone
Come on come on
(I hope your home)
Come on and answer the phone
Come on come on
(I hope your home)
Come on and answer the phone
Come on come on
(I hope your home)
Come on and answer the phone
Come on come on
(I hope your home)
Come on and answer the phone
Come on come on
(hello, hey brian!)

CP- To Mader
So one night it was dark and I couldn’t see,
I picked up my phone no one to disagree.
I was in possession of a beautiful phone,
Even though the phone was of a girlie tone.
I started checking my message to find out,
That maybe this isn’t my phone – hmm doubt.
But could this be the phone of my eye candy,
Maybe she could be unmarried and change her name to Sandy.
Hmm the possibilities of the owner of the stolen phone,
Oh goodness maybe I should watch my tone.
I return the untouchable phone back to her,
“I thought it was my phone” I said in transfer.
Oh the purple phone that was like mine,
Oh purple phone oh purple phone I let out a sigh….

Yes Sir I Killed My Dad
Yes sir I killed my dad
He was a jolly good chap never harmed a fly never took any crap
When I went out of line I was sure I would be getting a slap
He tended to me like rainbow in the sky
I was all he had and he was after all my dad
But what followed my friends as you know was sad
He fought two of them single handedly with out a weapon in his hand
Attacked from behind he held on as long as he could
Cried out for help beating the window pane
Some one saw him a fellow nice and sane
Banged the door open to see humanities hour of shame
He lay in a pool of blood as they tore his chest with a knife
This poor old man without a wife
Blood curdled on the floor splattered on the wall
He cried out for help and I was nowhere in sight
High on coke inebriated by with wine
As I sat down for dinner with that filthy swine
I was the reason I was the cause
As I sit back to think it over and take a pause
Yes sir I killed my dad
They came with plastic bags knives, saws and sacks
To cut him up into pieces to saw him up and carry him in bags
I should have been aware I should have seen through that
But I was in a haze to see through the maze
I still remember his eyes his soft gaze
My dad was one in a million that's for sure
I could have saved him but now he is no more
Yes sir I killed my dad
It's a story that is gory and so very sad
In which a son blames himself for killing his dad
Having been battered by the media
And hounded by the press
This is a story of a man in distress
Some say I was headed for it, some say I had it coming
But why did he suffer for my sin's I ask
You were his son you fool and it was his task
I owe my life to him which he sacrificed for me
So have no doubt my friends it was me who killed my dad

Single Day
Not a single day goes by..........
Where she is not in his thoughts
Not a single day goes by..........
Where his heart does not feel
Not a single day goes by..........
Where he does not want to reach out
Not a single day goes by..........
Where he dreams of his love for her
Not a single day goes by..........
Where he does not dream of kissing her
Not a single day goes by..........
Where he does not dream of holding her
Not a single day goes by..........
Where he does not ask. Why?
Not a single day goes by..........
Where she is not his first thought on waking.
Not a single day goes by..........
Where she is not his last thought before sleeping.
Not a single day goes by..........

I think that generally music should be a positive thing, I like Bob Marley's attitude: he said that his goal in life was to single handedly fight all the evil in the world with nothing but music, and when he went to a place he didn't go to play, he went to conquer.

Togetherness Is Gone
My wife,
Stop cleaning the house
Please come here
To accompany me
My husband,
The house is dirty
We aren't able to pay the maid
You've already retired
My wife,
Don't cook
It's a holiday
Let us eat outside the home
My husband,
Don't eat outdoors
We need efficient
You've already retired
My wife,
Let's keep me company
Why the rush to sleep
It's still early
My husband,
I have to get up early
To clean the house
And prepare breakfast
My wife,
I have to go this morning
My friends were waiting
Long we don't meet
My husband,
Be careful on the road
Greetings for your friends
But, why not breakfast?
My wife,
You have fallen asleep last night
I see you sleeping soundly all
I don't have the heart to wake you
My husband,
I'm sorry
I don't welcome you home
But, why should sleep on the sofa?
My wife,
I have to go again
I have social activities
With my old friends
My husband,
Don't forget dinner at home
You look very dapper
Although not wear perfume
My wife,
sorry, we were very busy
I had dinner with friends
Happy dinner, dear
My husband,
I woke up too early
But you're not at home
Where are you?
My wife,
I came home at midnight
I have to go early in the morning
I don't have the heart to wake you
My husband,
I just finished washing clothes
I've found the clothes that you wear today
But, why the smell of perfume?

The 'Poem A Day' Project - Day 16
I’ve lost my mobile phone
I’m feeling all alone
I can’t connect with my friends out there
I’ve lost my mobile phone
I’ve lost my mobile phone
I miss its ringing tone
I’ve searched for it everywhere
I’ve lost my mobile phone
I’ve lost my mobile phone
And now I cannot roam
I must stay near in case it rings
I’ve lost my mobile phone
I’ve lost my mobile phone
I do not wish to moan
It has numbers, dates and all kinds of things
I’ve lost my mobile phone
I’ve lost my mobile phone
And now I guess I’m prone
To wander like a lost zombie
I’ve lost my mobile phone
I’ve lost my mobile phone
I’ve no mind of my own
Without it there to organise me
I’ve lost my mobile phone

Call Me Up (The Phone Is In The Cradle)
My friends, they don't talk much about religion
But my friends, they don't talk much anyway-ay
When they do I know I'd better listen
'Cause my good friends just naturally know
The right things to say
They say, call me up, the phone is in the cradle
Get yourself delivered to my door-oor
Well if you're so inclined and if you've got the time
We can talk the night away
Adam got so lonely in the garden
He said it's tough to be the only man alive
He said I'd give a rib for just somebody to talk to
Well thunder and lightnin' out providin'
You came strollin' by
She said, call me up, the phone is in the cradle
Get yourself delivered to my doo-oor
Well if you're so inclined and if you've got the time
We can talk the night away
Now Rosie was the queen of the all night cowboy
She said, Texas boy, you seem kinda shy-y
Don't you expect an embossed invitation
Just knock on the wall, come down the hall
And knock on by
She said, call me up, the phone is in the cradle
Get yourself delivered to my doo-oor
Call me up, the phone is in the cradle
Get yourself delivered to my doo-oor
Call me up, the phone is in the cradle
Get yourself delivered to my doo-oor
Call me up, the phone is in the cradle
Get yourself [fade]

Good Days
Sometimes we have good days
when everything goes our way.
Old friends we haven’t seen in ages
come back into our life.
It is a celebration time
and you feel your floating on a cloud.
Nothing can upset you
no matter what people say.
The world seems your oyster
and you wish the day
would never pass,
but sadly, all good things
come to an end.
At least until the next good day
comes along your way.

Single Woman
Single bars and single women
With a single thought in mind
Just to make it till the morning
Looking for what they can find
For a man they won't remember
For a night they can't forget
Do you come to this place often?
May i light your cigarette?
Drinkin' beer in amarillo
Passing time and swaping jokes
Hoping for a new beginning
But beginning to lose hope
And you're waiting for that moment
When a glance becomes a stare
Mmm, what's that perfume that you're wearing?
Haven't i met you somewhere?
Find a matchbook in the morning
With a name and number scrawled
When you phone, a woman answers
And you wish you'd never called
Oh, they're friendly when they meet you
But they're strangers when they go
Ahh, do you mind if i come join you?
Would you like to dance one more?
And it's gettin' near to closing
And the seconds pass like years
Lots of friends to share the laughter
Not a one to share the tears
Oh and you wish they'd change that juke box
Cause you know every song it plays
Can i drop you off at my place?
Oh, what's the matter, are you gay?
You gotta twenty in your pocket
Got your toothbrush in your purse
Life could get a whole lot better
But it better not get worse
Single bars and single women
With a single thought in mind
Just to make it till the morning
Looking for what they can find

Re-united
Can you remember when you were a little girl,
I think we were about nine or ten.
We played together inside your dolls house
and you promised to marry me then.
We were both upset when I moved away
and thought we'd never see each other again.
What a surprise when I saw you yesterday
going to London on the mid-day train.
Our two children seemed to get on very well,
they reminded me of you and I.
You then said it may be another twenty years
before we caught each other's eye.
But then you mentioned where you lived,
and it was only a short walk from me.
We also had in common our single parent status,
I think our future was meant to be.

Spiderbite Song
When you got that spiderbite on your hand
I thought we would have to break up the band
To lose your arm would surely upset your brain
The poison then could reach your heart from a vein
I was glad that it didn't destroy you
How sad that would be
Cos if it destroyed you
It would destroy me
When you had that accident in your car
That whole thing just really seemed too bizarre
Dodging holes and telephone poles through the dash
A million to one that you could survive such a crash
I was glad that it didn't destroy you
How sad that would be
Cos if it destroyed you
It would destroy me
When you fell in love it was so sweet
So devoted, completely swept off your feet
Love is the greatest thing our heart can know
But the hole that it leaves in its absence can make you feel so low
I was glad that it didn't destroy you
How sad that would be
Cos if it destroyed you
It would destroy me

Ch 05 On Love And Youth Story 15
The beautiful wife of a man died but her mother, a decrepit old hag, remained in the house on account of the dowry. The man saw no means of escaping from contact with her until a company of friends paid him a visit of condolence and one of them asked him how he bore the loss of his beloved. He replied: ‘It is not as painful not to see my wife as to see the mother of my wife.’
The rose has been destroyed and the thorn remained.
The treasure has been taken and the serpent left.
It is better that one’s eye be fixed on a spear-head
Than that it should behold the face of an enemy.
It is incumbent to sever connection with a thousand friends
Rather than to behold a single foe.
