Failures of perspective in decision-making can be due to aspects of the social utility paradox, but more often result from simple mistakes caused by inadequate thought.

Inadequate
Inadequate.
It means not enough.
Like water in a glass half full
it is insufficient.
Some necessary bit is absent.
Inadequate is deficient.
It is vitamin C
in the diet of someone suffering from scurvy.
Inadequate is precisely what you feel
when you work yourself tired
for something your heart so desired
and in the end disappoint yourself still.
Inadequate is when you lack the will
to even try because somewhere inside
you just know you will fail.
Inadequate is someone when rejected.
Something inadequate is something defective.
Inadequate can mean not deserving company
almost like you're invisible maybe,
too unimportant to like or hate.
This word 'inadequate'
resounds in my head of late.

Failures
When failures come, oh, do not fret;
For failures, you must not regret;
Through failures, one can turn perfect,
As failure isn’t a great defect!
Each failure gives us chance again;
Through failures, we have much to gain;
So, failures are a boon, not bane;
Yes, failures make a man much sane!
All cannot win in life always;
Set-backs do come to us some days;
With failures, one makes strong a base;
Our failures bestow bolder face!
With failures come, added wisdom;
’Tis hard to hold a large kingdom;
Failures in life are much welcome,
As successes will always come.
Failures help us to love God more;
Failures are winning signs in core;
Failures can open newer door;
Failures can take us to the fore!
Which man on earth had always won?
With rain, there comes a brighter sun;
With failures, one can have much fun;
Failures aid us to faster run!
Failures can help us fare better;
Failures aren’t man’s strongest fetter;
Failures are just a trend-setter;
Failures make us a win-getter!
By failures, one can stop awhile;
Through failures, you run longer mile;
Failures do not remain life’s bile;
Failures help us finish in style!
Failures help us see truth again;
Failures remove the pride and feign;
Failures help us take newer lane;
Failures help us win in the main!
Through failures, we begin again,
And success smiles, easing out pain!

Zero. None. Zilch To Erase 'Nots
If I thought of my past mistakes made,
As a prevention of making more...
I'd be afraid to live my life,
To continue to explore the unknown.
And adventuring my life,
With the pursuit to break barriers...
And face obstacles on my path,
Making attempts to limit my footsteps...
Is not my perspective in living my life I have.
Not from a restricted point of view?
Zero. None. Zilch to erase 'nots' with 'cans'.
To replace with an updated agenda.
I've done too much weeping,
To discover a doing of it alone.
I wasn't born to carry burdens on my back.
I am not a collector of sorrows.
Some feel obligated to do that.
I'm not loyal to such obligations.
And I know this!
Since that has been tried to dry clear eyes.

Freedom to err
I am free with my parent
But I fear making mistakes.
I am free with my boss
But I fear making mistakes.
I am free with my wife
And fear not making mistakes.
She isn’t like that with me.
Real freedom is where you
Have freedom to make mistakes.

We Live In Contradiction And Paradox
WE LIVE IN CONTRADICTION AND PARADOX
We live in contradiction and paradox-
We are more and less than we want to be-
Our self- definition is over- definable and indefinable
Too much and too little
Too less and too more
We are incredible and trivial to a simple and endless degree-
Who we are and what we are now-
All the mysteries of the stars cannot know-
Why we are what we will be
Only God knows.

What Put Us Together In This
what put us together in the getting to know
and liking each other so well
are our common miseries
and as time would have it we exchange
stories of our failures and how we are able
to cope with each,
to our amazement we have shared the techniques
of sorrow
the art of sadness
the procedure for grief
the poems of lamentations
and the finishing plots for our novels of survival
we put the words so well
as others so well praised it
on that epilogue portion where we keep on thanking
each other
for the success of our failed endeavors
the irony, the paradox
of our mild existence
our solidifying persistence
the elasticity that has not been exceeded by the extreme
weights of our
burdens: to include those that we realized to be also
well, self-caused, self-inflicted
we love it: our blindness sometimes on some spots
where our Achilles' heels lie.

You Can Go Now
Time — what is it,
this vast father of all concepts
luring its children into
preoccupation with the past?
History is a fine fiction
within its limits, full of lessons
for those who have ears to hear them,
but when taken too seriously,
as if it were the whole
truth and nothing but the truth,
it prohibits experience of presence.
The narrative of sports commentators,
presented in present tense,
is more honest than that of historians.
'Will looks left, crosses over,
drives right, puts up a floater...
off the glass... GOOD! All tied up now,
three seconds to go, time out Wolfpack.
This place is going CRAZY! '
But how to put time in perspective
when time is a primary component
of perspective? Can space manage to
squeeze its age-old partner in philosophy
out of business by means of some
trick of focus, put an end to time's
executive decision making behind the scenes
of ignorance, war, and social injustice?
And will that help, or only give
space too much play, leading to
more of the same in another form of tyranny?
Time will tell, it's said.
Or will it? Maybe it's just
waiting to be told. Maybe it never
wanted the power it was entrusted with
in the first place. Maybe it too feels that it's
long overdue for retirement.
There it is now, sitting at its desk —
piled up with nothing but travel brochures —
sighing, waiting for the phone to ring,
to hear from the stockholders
those four liberating words:
'You can go now.'

One Out Of Ten
goal was only
to write one good
poem out of ten...
therefore
just writing
is important
poems people actually
like can be surprising?
but a simple one in ten...
goal means 240 intriguing
or good poems achieved?
to write at least one interesting
element or altered
perspective was relative
to composed most...
even posted
poetic failures
as strangely
some like
enjoy fractures

Blessed Be the Source of Sources
blessed be the source of sources
from which all gifts are bestowed
otherworldly wellspring
from which all wisdom flows
blessed be every virtue every vice
every stone every sin encountered and
entangled along the path
every exercising test that self manifests
in order to strengthen muscles of moral will
all choices made whether right or wrong
learning with in turn every decision reached
successes mistakes milestones failures
patience and humility underlining each

Perspective
I need perspective cos Im facing the wall
I need perspective cos Im not that tall
I need perspective heard the trumpet call
Dont trust my eyes want to know where things fall
I need perspective party time for the newly wed
I need perspective colours ran as the images bled
I need perspective like confetti on the flower bed
Dont trust my eyes priest crying hes got fire in his head
Oh gaia, if thats your name
Treat you like dirt, but I dont want to blame
Oh gaia, the wind heats the fire and blows the ash away
I need perspective sitting in a long long hall
I need perspective staring at the white white wall
I need perspective waiting for the phone to call
Dont trust my eyes theres one thing Ive got to tell you all
I need perspective to see through red red skies
I need perspective to carry merchandise
I need perspective I dont trust my eyes
Dont trust my eyes and I dont like surprise
Oh gaia, etc
I used to be industrial giant
Sitting in a garden full of chemical plant
Trying very hard to get you off my mind
Acting like any man
Taking you for everything I can
Just the same, the same as all my kind
-- so blind
I need perspective

Stupid Mistakes We Men Make
The time is growing near- and we are about to part.
I did something stupid and it really broke your heart.
A sexual chance had arose, and the wrong
Decision I had chose.
How could I accept something that was given for free
And let my sexual desire over power me.?
Man sometimes uses the wrong head
And we plop right into bed.
In this position I would not be
If I was to have stopped and thought it out
Of this I have no doubt.
How could I have done such a stupid thing
Knowing in my life, the grief it would bring.
I had vowed that I would always be true
And I broke that promise to you.
I see the hurt in your eyes, as you gaze
Upon my face for the very last time.
Now I am on bended knees
And to you I do plead.
Even a dog deserves a break, we’re all human
We make mistakes.
I made a mistake, I don’t deny
And I will live with it for the rest of my life.
But if you deny the love that we both knew
Wouldn’t you be making a mistake too.
Don’t make a mistake like I just did
For with this decision you must live.

There were a lot of people dreaming about making films, and they would finance maybe 6 films a year. Because they were funded by the government, the films sort-of had to deal with serious social issues - and, as a result, nobody went to see those films.

Gift of Deception
The only way they have ever achieved success...
Is by blaming someone else for their failures.
And when it has been proven they are incompetent...
They whine about the ease of someone else's chores.
And now when it is clear they are the reason for their sorrows...
They choose to say they should not be faulted for making bad choices.
Although thousands of lives have been lost,
At the expense of tremendous heartbreak but not felt at their cost.
All as a result of their gift of deception and continous misdeeds!
And now they pay the price to bleed but seek someone else's blood!
