When I was growing up watching Marilyn Monroe, I learned that you can be very beautiful, very glamorous and very vulnerable and not give up your soul just because you were a movie star.

I loved the movies and I wanted to be like Marilyn Monroe. I thought she was so glamorous and everyone seemed to love her. I wanted to be like that and I told everyone I would be the next Marilyn Monroe.

Left In The Dark
Your father took you
to see a Jeff Chandler movie
and you sat there
in the dark
eating popcorn
sharing some with him
and taking in
the cowboys
and guns
and imaging you
were up there
riding your imaginary horse
shooting your gun
along side the others
when your father got up
and went off
into the darkness
and so you continued
to watch the movie
giving no further thought
to where he'd gone
the john perhaps
or to buy some smokes
or get some air
and you just stayed
sitting there watching
when some young dame
came down
and said
your father’s had a choking fit
but he’s ok now
and you said
shame he’s missed the best bit
and she whispered
(her voice like Marilyn Monroe’s)
I don’t think he gives a shit
and the odd thing was
out of the blue
you said kind of shy
neither do I.

A Wonderful Beetle——Shi Xiaoqun
Beetles, beetles beautiful movie star,
Shi Xiaoqun is the emperor's lover of Ir star,
Beetles, beetles beautiful movie star,
How I wonder who you are.
Up above the world so high,
Like an empress in the star,
Beetles, beetles beautiful movie star,
How I wonder who you are.
Beetles, beetles beautiful movie star,
Shi Xiaoqun is the emperor's lover of Ir star,
Beetles, beetles beautiful movie star,
How I wonder who you are.
Up above the world so high,
Like an empress in the star,
Beetles, beetles beautiful movie star,
How I wonder who you are.
When the world loses love and tolerance,
When I no more love you,
When you no more love me,
Then you know what will happen!
Beetles, beetles beautiful movie star,
How I wonder who you are.
Beetles, beetles beautiful movie star,
Shi Xiaoqun is the emperor's lover of Ir star,
Beetles, beetles beautiful movie star,
How I wonder who you are.

Hollywood 1996
1996 was the year I was with Chucky so dear.
In L.A. watching Independence Day flick, which is like every other shtick.
It was the year Margaux Hemmingway committed suicide,
it was from depression she could not hide.
I also ate at the famous restaurant Spago's in Beverly Hills,
close to Wilshire Boulevard and it was a thrill.
I walked in wearing a short pink jump suite,
customers turned around because I was hot and cute.
Chucky was there with me without a care, he knew all of them stopped to stare.
Everyone was dressed in suites with a tie, they all looked the same, I don't know why.
Then movie Star's mansions we traveled to see, it was really fun taking pictures for vacation memories.
I also took workshops on filmmaking in the day, it was very interesting I have to say.
I saw Angelica Houston for the first time, I wrote a poem about her that really did rhyme.
I also bought a postcard for a movie starring Marilyn Monroe,
it was the movie Niagara where she became a star from this show.
Then at night we went to The Comedy Store,
Richard Pryor performed in a wheelchair his comedy routine,
He talked very dirty for his act was not very clean.
Now I will always remember this trip for it is etched in my mind,
Thank you Chucky for showing me a really good time.

I’m Maurice Chevalier’s Niece
I’m Maurice’s niece,
I am French like he.
I painted the Eiffel tower,
where he was born,
He is happy, too bad he’s gone.
I could have been
in a movie
with him,
He would sing
to Melodie
'Wonderful Things'.
Like “Thank Heaven For Little Girls”
Thank you Maurice, you’re the
Sweetest Frenchmen in the world.
Now, he is in a photo at piano
with Marilyn Monroe,
they were going to be in
a movie together I thought
you should know.
Now we have
his and Marilyn's
movies, photos and songs,
to play day or
all night long.
See you in Heaven
Maurice Chevalier,
I will sing for your birthday,
a song with Melodie Mezoree’.

Wilted Flower
She was a wilted flower
When I first saw her
Standing against the wall
She became a movie star
A glamorous, breathtaking
Movie star
I saw her yesterday
She is a wilted flower once more
Hoping
Praying
Dreaming
That someday
She will bloom again
She was a wilted flower
When I first saw her

I mock when others do.
Earning was glamorous; I laboured.
Spending was glamorous; I idled away.
Losing was glamorous; I gambled.
Loving was glamorous; I pursued.
Leaving was glamorous; I pined.
Each one of them is mocked at
By those when they aren’t involved..

Beautiful Star Of Bethlehem
(A.I. Phipps)
Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem
Shining afar through shadows dim
Giving the light for those who long have gone
Guiding the wise men on their way
Unto the place where Jesus lay
Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem, shine on
Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem
(Beautiful, beautiful star)Of Bethlehem
(Star of Bethlehem)
Shine upon us until the glory dawns
Give us the light to light the way
Unto the land of perfect day
Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem, shine on
Oh beautiful star, the hope of life
Guiding the pilgrims through the night
Over the mountains till the break of dawn
Into the light of perfect day
It will give out a lovely ray
Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem, shine on
Oh beautiful star, the hope of rest
For the redeemed, the good and the blest
Yonder in glory when the crown is won
Where Jesus is now the star divine
Brighter and brighter he will shine
Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem, shine on

Beautiful Lonely Star
Sometimes I cry about how beautiful you are
Ethereal innocent a lonely star
To be beautiful like you, one can only be alone
Like the moon above where love is flown.
Tears, ineffable tears, for your souls anguish
Flower in the heavens in a star like your soul's languish
I wish I had a soul like you
And through mine own my soul breakthrough
No music is like you, no poetry as beautiful as you
No ocean vast, no land as fertile
No beauty as beautiful as you are
The beautiful lonely star.
This poems for you…

A New Marilyn
Got one now with a catholic name
A little less righteous she aint quite the same
Walkin the streets under the media moon
Silvery screen paints her sultry tune
She wears her lipstick outside of the lines
Picture on the cover of the new york times
The mole on her cheek looks like her very own
She lives and breathes in a new marilyn home
Chorus
A new marilyn a new marilyn
Everybodys lookin for a new marilyn
Everywhere I go everywhere I been
Everybodys lookin for a new marilyn
Where would she be after twenty five years
What would she think if she were to hear
Everywhere you look theres somebody new
Trying to replace you trying to replace you marilyn
Chorus
A new marilyn a new marilyn
Everybodys lookin for a new you know who
Everywhere I go everywhere I been
Everybodys lookin for a new marilyn
A new marilyn a new marilyn
Everybodys lookin for a new you know who
Everywhere I go everywhere I been
Everybodys lookin for a new marilyn
Isnt this a great party
Chorus
A new marilyn a new marilyn
Everybodys lookin for a new you know who
Everywhere I go everywhere I been
Everybodys lookin for a new marilyn

Beautiful
So beautiful, you are, yeah
Soooooooo
Yes, you are
Youre so...
(chorus)
Beautiful
Now youre near
In my life
Oh my dear
Beautiful
Come to me
Now I have-
Someone watching over me
(vs.1)
All my days and nights so lonely
til you came into my life
You came and brought my life back to me
Cause I was dying deep inside
You brought the light
And my life was so dark
You took the fight
And you made it your own
I realy love you
No other love can measure up
To the love that you give to me
And with all this love comes trust
Youre so...
(chorus)
(vs.2)
I opened up my arms to greet you
With unconditional love
Tender sweet is he that helps me
Leave my problems all behind
(baby come to me)
Baby come to me. you know that I will set you free
(promise it will be)
Promise it will be an expirience for you and me
(something beautiful)
Let me take you to a place where there is understanding
Where love flows unselfishly and never ever demanding
(so beautiful...)
So beautiful
(...since you came into my life)
(chorus) 2xs
During chorus:
Now your near
In my life
All my fears
Beautiful, beautiful, yeahh
Come to me
Someones watching over me
Someones watching over me
Someones watching over me
Come to me
Someones watching o... ver me
(since you came into my life)
Ooohhh, so beautiful
(if I had a dream, it ould be... so beautiful)
I wanna say... that I love you
Oh, the love you give
All the love you give to me
All my days and nights so lonely
And its so, soooo beautiful
But now I have a friend that I can talk to, yeah
(if I had a dream, it would be... so beautiful)
Youre so beautiful
(chorus)
Youre so beautiful
You are so beautiful
Youre so beautiful
You are so beautiful
Youre the only love I know
Beautiful
Youre the only love I know
Beautiful
Youre the reason why I live
Beautiful
Youre the reason why I wanna give you everything
