It is not difficult to govern. All one has to do is not to offend the noble families.

It is easy to govern a kingdom but difficult to rule one's family.
The masses demand a fighting President, and that means you've got to offend somebody, because the way I see it, a strong offense is the best attack. So what can you offend? That's an easy one. Offend the other candidates, because they'll be too busy talking to hear you, and besides, they might not vote for you anyway.

Finally, I want to make the point that we are Republicans. We are the majority. It is going to be a little more difficult because we have to govern and come up with ideas.

What's so difficult...
What's so difficult,
About the word,
No.
What's so difficult,
About our,
Relationship.
What's so difficult,
About,
Us.
What's so difficult,
About the words,
Stay away.
What's so difficult,
About,
Don't talk to me.
What's so difficult...

Don't Let My Confidence Offend
Please,
Don't let my confidence offend.
I did not always place my steps,
With such self assurance.
And when I first met my own arrogance,
Even I became overwhelmed...
With the flaunting of it.
My experiences and indifferences from others,
Witnessed.
Did this to me.
And when I discovered my own identity,
Well...
People were quick to abandon my honesty.
And so difficult it was for me to let them go.
Please,
Don't let my confidence offend.
I did not always place my steps,
With such self assurance.
And when I first met my own arrogance,
Even I became overwhelmed...
With the flaunting of it.
However...
Becoming use to it I've done.
You don't have to.
And this I completely understand if you don't.
But compensating where I am for you?
To show it can be done at your satisfaction?
Is not going to happen. Period. With no explanation!

My Dear and Only Love
My dear and only Love, I pray
This noble world of thee
Be govern'd by no other sway
But purest monarchy;
For if confusion have a part,
Which virtuous souls abhor,
And hold a synod in thy heart,
I'll never love thee more.
Like Alexander I will reign,
And I will reign alone,
My thoughts shall evermore disdain
A rival on my throne.
He either fears his fate too much,
Or his deserts are small,
That puts it not unto the touch
To win or lose it all.
But I must rule and govern still,
And always give the law,
And have each subject at my will,
And all to stand in awe.
But 'gainst my battery, if I find
Thou shunn'st the prize so sore
As that thou sett'st me up a blind,
I'll never love thee more.
Or in the empire of thy heart,
Where I should solely be,
Another do pretend a part
And dares to vie with me;
Or if committees thou erect,
And go on such a score,
I'll sing and laugh at thy neglect,
And never love thee more.
But if thou wilt be constant then,
And faithful of thy word,
I'll make thee glorious by my pen
And famous by my sword:
I'll serve thee in such noble ways
Was never heard before;
I'll crown and deck thee all with bays,
And love thee evermore.

If I Offend, So Be It
If I offend...
So be it!
I am not here,
To be the 'next' James Baldwin.
Or follow in the footsteps,
Of Langston Hughes.
The shoes I wear are quite comfortable.
And the path I walk upon,
Has not already been paved.
That is the task that has be laid before me.
To do that myself!
If I offend...
So be it!
I am not living my life intending to be anyone else,
Than who I am.
I am the first Lawrence S. Pertillar.
And make no mistake about it...
I will be acknowledged,
For the life I've lived.
If I offend...
So be it!
I just know who it is I am.
And I am not who I am because I seek to get paid for it!
Like most folks lost and deluded,
By the meaning of 'identity'.
I've been blessed and I am grateful...
To have a dignity as well.
And 'if' I offend...
So be it!
There's so many others,
Who have minds associated with making a quick buck.
And people like that...
Are indoctrinated with corrupted agendas!

Let Me Help You Mend
Come in...
To my world.
And end,
All defenses begun...
Within you that go on,
To offend.
Come in...
To my world.
And end,
All defenses begun...
Within you that go on,
To offend.
Unlock your hold on troubles,
You keep deep...
To repeat.
Release them from yourself,
And you'll be free...
To visit me.
Come in...
To my world.
And end,
All defenses begun...
Within you that go on,
To offend.
Come in...
To my world.
And end,
All defenses begun...
Within you that go on,
To offend.
Let me,
Help you mend...
And now!

Offend In Every Way
I'm patient of this plan,
As humble as I can.
I'll wait another day,
Before I turn away.
But know this much is true,
No matter what I do,
Offend in every way,
I don't know what to say.
I'm commin through the door,
But they're expecting more,
Of an interesting man.
Sometimes I think I can,
But how much can I fake?
I'll speak until I break,
With every word I say,
Offend in every way.
You tell me to relax,
and listen to these facts.
That everyone's my friend,
And will be till the end.
But know this much is true,
No matter what I do,
No matter what I say,
Offend in every way.
