I remember when we were doing the first Dragon's Lair, I got really involved with coming up with all the little rooms and what was the danger in the room and going into it with bats and spiders and snakes.

The heart of Dragon's Lair has always been its compelling story. With Dragon's Lair 3D, we think the team has really created an interactive animated movie.
Your Blue Room
Its time to go again
To your blue room
Got some questions to ask of you
In your blue room
The air is clean
Your skin is clear
Ive had enough fun hanging round here
Its a different kind of conversation
Your blue room
Saw me coming
In outside
Saw me coming
Somewhere I can hide
And time is a string of pearls...your blue room
(Im a swinger)
See the future just hanging there...your blue room
A new frame, a new perspective
Looking down on my objectives
Your instructions whatever their directions
Your blue room
Saw me coming
East by the moon
Saw me coming
Can you feel
(its allright)
Your blue room
One day Ill be back...your blue room
Yeah, I hope I remember where its at...your blue room
We see me slide
Wont you give me a home
So much for change
Zooming in
Zooming out
Nothing I cant do without
A lens to see it all up close
Magnifying what no one knows
Never in company
Never alone
No car alarm
No cellular phone

Thanks It Is Just a Nightmare...
the storms wait
by the window
the sea rises upon
your door
the flood passes
through
your dining room
bats hang on the
ceiling
snakes sleep on
your bed
and cockroaches
live in your
cabinets
what must you do?
wake up!
you are asleep
caught
in a nightmare.

Danger
There is danger atop our heads;
There is danger around us all;
There is danger beneath our feet;
There is danger to man and beast!
There is danger in the skies;
There is danger in the seas;
There is danger ev’n on land;
There is danger to man and beast!
There is danger from earth’s bowels;
There is danger in forests;
There is danger in hills, vales;
There is danger to man and beast!
There is danger from our brethren;
There is danger from kith, kin;
There is danger from strangers;
There is danger to man and beast!
There is danger within us;
There is danger from space;
There is danger to our soul;
Nevertheless, God protects us.

The Darkest Secrecy Of Night...
one who never thinks of suicide
has never been in love...
one who never dreams he's in prison,
has never been poor!
for me, i spend my time
with spiders and bats...
and i never close my eyes
when i'm sleeping!
god never painted the wheels,
on the wagon that hauls away souls.
perhaps those who are good,
never knew the value of sin.
if then i come again,
in whatever face, whatever shoes...
remember the scent of what you wanted,
in the darkest secrecy of night!

Dragon At The Top
A dragon still is born in here,
Ferocious dragon so,
One mighty danger to appear
In all the land we bow.
A mountain made my sleep to care
And worked mine or his
Despair, so oddly strange affair,
That bleared the right old quiz.
His furnace sold a sage to write
And read for him alone,
The massive dragon did backbite
This lonely clone of bone.
Offended pride successfully
Refused him, this trip
Of one absurd dichotomy,
A stay in hell to dip.
The dragon forced his way atop,
Real ways so suddenly
Wore clothes to also make him stop
In this way evenly.
The beast must stop and hide somewhere,
Or phantoms cite danger,
Then dedicate the sense with care,
Or ghosts will win stranger.

Spiders In The Night
Spiders in the night
Creeping round the walls
Now you'll feel him
Crawling over you
Creepy crawly things
Filling up your bed
Soon you'll feel him
Crawling through your brains
You think he's there
Beware his bite
But when you look
The spider's not in sight
Spiders reappear
Taking peoples names
Everything is taken down insane
There's no way out
And there's no key
But here's a clue
The spider's really me
You're written in his book
The spider won't forget
You won't forget
The spiders in the night
The end is going night
Itsy witsy friends
The spiders disappearing from the night
You think he's gone
You think he's dead
There's no escape
The spiders in your head
All the spiders in the night
All the spiders in the night
All the spiders in the night

Snakes
Open the basket
Listen to the flute play
Open the basket
Listen to the flute play
Toot toot toot toot play
Snakes in the basket
Lie to lead you astray
Snakes in the basket
Force to make you betray
Your innermost truths hid away
Falling down to the underground
As you slither down to your lair
Hidden in the many trenches of a hopeless war
Those who were sold out by a corporate board
Carry the casket
Never mind the gun spray
Bury the casket
Pawns in someones gameplay
Shoot shoot shoot shoot obey
Subscription to the spreading of lies
Soldier catches a glimpse of his demise
Deep down inside even he knows
Snakes come in many shapes and sizes
Snakes have no hands to be tied
Concoction of malicious lies
Deep inside the general despises
Himself... listen to the flute play
Another reptile in line
Snakes without grass cannot hide
Falling down to the underground
As you slither down to your lair
Forked tongues spread the poison with a toxic sting
So much pain their serpentine inhibitions bring

Unravel
The bat unravels
His life
By flying high inside the dark caves
But also people went into the dark caves where the bats were
And they never made a sound
Also I congratulated them because they are brave
Eventhough inside of the cave was water and they went for a splash Also
But they caught some eel for them to have for dinner
But the german men that went in the cave found so many water snakes and He caught some water snakes for his dinner and he grilled The water snakes Outside the caves but the other people had to eat The eel raw
But the German men said that the snakes tasted so good that Reminded him of grilled chicken

My Pandora's Box Will Be Your Own Destruction....
inside my room, there, the Pandora's box is kept,
and you who wants to destroy my future, wants to open it
i know what is inside there, i make an inventory of myself, daily,
i count them and make myself familiar with all of them
they are not snakes or venomous bats, or dragons with mouthfuls of fire
not bugs, not gnomes, but be very careful,
i am not worried about myself, actually,
i am more worried about you: can you take them?

Auntie’s curse
She said to me, now in her old age
to stay away from the dogs and cats,
as if they were spiders, snakes and bats
being scared
that I would catch
something from them
like lice or ticks or fleas
or maybe some hidden disease
and although I had used frontline on them,
had dusted them with karbadust,
had sprayed shoo-fly on their heads and necks
she wished that I would catch lice from them,
or the illness which they were carrying
like a member of the flat earth society,
still believing in vain
as if cats and dogs infected with
the one or other pest
were going to rain down
out of the sky
and infect every one
and then she bought some expensive shampoo,
bathed, washed her head
five times a day
to kill the pests
which she believed
was now crawling over her
and was very angry at me
for not comprehending
life exactly as she did.

a poem for allan jimenez (written in Arvisu House,1981)
If you open my door
Without knocking and
You simply come in
Without myself
What would you say?
It’s been a time
We cleaned rooms
Scrubbed toilet tiles
Into the desired whiteness
Of saints and souls
We designed rooms
Where no rain
Can get in
And surprise us
Of its pouring
About the damp
About the wet
Or the colds we get
We cannot imagine
Accidents do happen
Despite strict precautions
Of the perfect prefect
Of the other sect
We cannot situate
We at wrong hours
Inside wrong rooms
Talking about wrongs
And we talk
All about us and
It talks all about us
The stay
Silent and still
The closed gate
That must by now
Be opened
Or I get
Muriatic and drink it
As my morning milk
Crazy
Now if you happen
To come into my room
Without myself
As I have gone
Far elsewhere
Without myself
Leaving any note
Or sign that I would
Be coming back
To this room
Clean and tidy
What else can you say?
What else would I say?
I cannot promise
I cannot scare you
Elsewhere I go
With another routine
Hi, hello, how are you?
Anyway
The scheduled morning prayers
Of this sad house
Clean and tidy
Shall recite themselves
Perfectly
Without me
Or us
And sure
Everything everything
Would still be all right
All right.

The danger of that - and there's a grave danger that I, myself, have to be very aware of - is that you become so involved and intrigued in the language that sometimes you lose track that that is only a means to an aesthetic experience that the listener has to get.

He who wants to be a dragon must eat many little snakes.
Dragon's Lair 3D is about as close as you can come to controlling an animated feature film.
There's A New Sign In Australia
There's a new sign in Australia
That's there for all to see
It informs the population
When a beach is riot-free
This land of snakes and spiders
With lethal poison in each bite
And massive sharks and jellyfish
To haunt your dreams at night
Has found a brand new species
A throw-back some would say
They're called the white supremacists
But have they ever been away?
It seems they stockpile weapons
Baseball bats and guns and knives
To do battle on the beaches
With the wog and lebo tribes
They're protecting their Australia
From foreign influence
They seem to want this great big land
Split up with some fence
That will keep the ethnics separate
Unless they all adopt our ways
It's called assimilation
And reflectecd in the phrase
That once described this country
And its migrant policies
They want a 'white Australia'
Full of pure white dumb Aussies.

Shared Loneliness
A house is empty if you're alone.
Its rooms are too quiet for it's known
loneliness too, just like you.
It echoes with hollowness
and creaks with despair
for the lone figure it houses
has no one to share
its rooms.
It hears the steps of the solitary one.
It hears the sighs that weigh like a ton
on its floors and walls
where the sadness crawls.
It longs to be filled
with conversational tones
filling up its rooms.
The bedroom is lonely
and the living room too.
The kitchen has a setting for one
and only one cup of coffee to brew.
These rooms can house all of the pain
that lonesomeness brings and still remain
loyal to the one who's alone.
