I started college Pre-Med. That lasted about half a semester.

I went to college for one semester, and I took every subject I could, and I ended up failing. So I thought to myself, Ever since I was a kid, I've loved expression - and that's when I started thinking about acting.

Pell Grants
The USA has fallen behind in college graduates in many areas especially the sciences and technology. We need more kids with ability graduating from college and getting master degrees etc. Pell grants allow a young or older person who cannot afford a college education to get one. People pay the loans off by the percentage of wage they make at the time. This democratic benefit to the middle and lower classes would be dropped by Romney/Ryan and the republicans if they are elected.
The implication of this would be college is for the wealthy and the extremely gifted with scholarships or in sports. Is this fair? Is it right for a young person with an IQ of a hundred with rich parents to go to college and another child with an IQ of a 120 with parents that can't afford 20,000 dollars a semester not go? Is this the America that you want? I am not voting for people only but justice, equality and a real America with real opportunity for all not just the rich.

College
It's something new, excited and different to look forward
This is what I been waiting for
It's where dreams begin
College
Help me prepared for life, but my high school didn't
It changes my life in so many ways
I feel confidence, happier, and independent
I doing one thing I love the most, and it's going to culinary school
I learn so much in one semester already
The teachers want me to success in life and help me so much
It's hard to catch up
The feeling I can't even describes when I first came to this
College
It's fit my schedules and my classes is only couple days a week
I can take morning, afternoon, or night classes
I am doing this for myself, my life, dreams, hope and becoming adult
I hope you enjoy it like I did one day

I would sign on for projects that were meant to shoot in July, and then they would postponed and they would bleed into the following semester, and then I'd take a semester off, and then the movie would collapse.

It Sure Was
They said, "what do you think you would do
If she told you that she'd been untrue?"
I'd say, "i won't say i won't be sorry, no.
It sure was love while it lasted."
They said, "how will you feel deep inside
When the love you believed in has died?"
I ain't sayin' it won't hurt me
It sure was love while it lasted
I'll be livin off of the good times
That you've given me to face
I have had my share of the sunshine
I can stand a little rain.
So we don't give a damn what they say
We've go something they can't take away
'cause whatever comes tomorrow
It sure was love while it lasted
It sure was good while it lasted
It sure was love while it lasted.

I teach one semester a year, and this year I'm just teaching one course during that semester, a writing workshop for older students in their late 20s and early 30s, people in our graduate program who are already working on a manuscript and trying to bring it to completion.

School in 6/8 meter
I'm feeling a little.. human today
The bags and the books that I carry each day...
...to classes.. I don't want to go to but..
these are the new days. I must learn and shut up.
The teachers.. hit me with all of their stuff..
The school yard is full and the assignments rough.
And study..I must just to get to the next..
big step to the finalized work and the text
is bright..I must say the lectures are deep
I have this feeling that I will loose some sleep.
This new.. school semester is quite a change
from last year in junior college. I'll arrange...
to keep.. up with all the kids half my age.
To be the great class mate and not an old sage.
I'd like.. to be just another kid there
It's nice how they don't peer at me, they don't stare..
and wonder why that a woman this old
is here with the elementary. Fit the mold...
...of what.. they teach to become a success.
I'm just here to learn, graduate with the rest.

College Kids
Someone please save us, us college kids!
What my parents told me is what I did
They said go to school and be a college kid
But in the end I question why I did
Im poor, Im starving, Im flat broke, Ive got no cash to spend
Sell all my books for front row tickets to dave matthews band
My girlfriends at another school, I know this year will test her
I called, found out she had three other boyfriends last semester
And thats why I say
Oh no! not for me, not for me
Call it torture, call it university
No! arts and crafts is all I need
Ill take calligraphy and then Ill make a fake degree
80 grand later I found out that all that I had learned
Is that you should show up to take your finals and your midterms
The party scene is kinda mean, I think its sick and twisted
The navy showed up at my dorm and claimed that I enlisted
And thats why I say
Oh no! not for me, not for me
Call it torture, call it university
No! arts and crafts is all I need
Ill take calligraphy and then Ill make a fake degree
Dont get excited. shell say no without a doubt you see
And Ive decided college girls just wont go out with me
They make me nervous and they always catch me off my guard
Like cell phone services I drop out cause college is too hard
Its time to call my father
Cause its his alma mater
Good grades arent what they seem
I think he knows the dean
Its time to call my father
Cause its his alma mater
He says hes proud of me
But college always was his dream
And I would always say its not for me
Oh no! not for me, not for me
Call it torture, call it university
No! arts and crafts is all I need
Ill take calligraphy and then Ill make a fake degree
Someone please save us, us college kids!
What my parents told me is what I did
They said go to school and be a college kid
But in the end I question why I did
Do what will make you happy
Do what you feel is right
Only but one thing matters
Learn how to live your life

Wrapping It Up
Two papers more,
Two lovers more,
Wrapping it up with the muse of my love;
But the semester-exams are about to start,
So emancipate your mind with the muse of my love!
The rain is about to fall and i am wrapping up my works,
But be ready to learn from my muse because of this weather!
And like the words from your sweet lover,
But the semester exams are about to start.

Half The World
Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
Half the world hates
What half the world does every day
Half the world waits
While half gets on with it anyway
Half the world lives
Half the world makes
Half the world gives
While the other half takes
Half the world is
Half the world was
Half the world thinks
While the other half does
Half the world talks
With half a mind on what they say
Half the world walks
With half a mind to run away
Half the world lies
Half the world learns
Half the world flies
As half the world turns
Half the world cries
Half the world laughs
Half the world tries
To be the other half
Half of us divided like a torn-up photograph half of us are
Trying to reach the other half
Half the world cares
While half the world is wasting the day
Half the world shares
While half the world is stealing away

In Between
In march I met my wonderlove
Then lost her underneath the april showers
By may we worked out our difference
By june the petals were all plucked from flowers
In between my girl
And there is no other in this world, oh no
I am in between my girl
And its gonna be a brighter day
If shed get the nerve to stay
Hey would you mind standing in for
I only need you for this weekday evening
Saturday, I never knew you
Sorry dear, you really need to understand that I am
In between...
She always gives me the runaround
She left me for a college boy
As sure as the world is round
Next semester shell be back again
Were always off and on again
But for awhile Ill surely keep your number
In between...

Half The World
Half the world lives,
Half the world makes,
Half the world gives
While the other half takes.
Half the world hates,
Half the world runs away,
Half the world's late,
Half the world praises the day.
Half the world is,
Half the world was,
Half the world thinks,
Half the world does.
Half the world lies,
Half the world burns,
Half the world cries
While the other half turns.
Half the world cares,
Half the world weeps,
Half the world shares,
Half the world keeps.
Half the world sings,
Half the world laughs,
Half the world brings,
Half the world tries to be the other half.
End.

The Ladder
Once upon a time in the land of sinaplenty
There lived a king who didnt deserve 2 be
He knew not where he came from
Nor where he was going
He never once said thank u, never please
Now this king he had a subject named electra
Who loved him with a passion, uncontested
4 him each day she had a smile
But it didnt matter
The king was looking 4 the ladder
Everybodys looking 4 the ladder
Everybody wants salvation of the soul
The steps u take are no easy road
But the reward is great
4 those who want 2 go
A feeling of self-worth (everybodys looking)
Will caress u (for the answers)
The size of the whole wide world will decrease (how the story started)
(and how it will end)
The love of gods creation will undress u
And time spent alone my friend, will cease
Everybodys looking 4 the answers
How the story started and how it will end
Whats the use in half a story, half a dream
U have 2 climb all of the steps in between (yeah, we ride)
Everybodys looking 4 the ladder
Everybody wants salvation of the soul
The steps u take are no easy road (the steps you take are no easy road)
(its not that easy)
But the reward is great
4 those who want 2 go (I do)
Everybody... everybodys looking (everybodys looking 4 the answers)
For the answers
Everybody wants to know how the story (how the story started)
Started and how it will end (started and how it will end)
Whats the use in half a story, (whats the use in half a story)
Half a dream (half of a dream)
U, u gotta climb, u gotta climb (u have 2 climb all)
All of the steps in between (the steps in between)
Everybody,
Everybodys looking 4 that ladder (everybodys looking 4 the ladder)
Everybody wants salvation of the soul (everybody wants salvation of the soul)
(salvation)
The steps u take are no easy road (the steps you take are no easy road)
(thats for sure)
But the reward is great (the reward is great)
4 those who want 2 go, (4 those who want 2 go)
Those who want 2 go
Everybody... everybody wants (everybodys looking 4 the answers)
An answer
Anyone who know how the story (how the story started)
Started, how it will end (started and how it will end)
Will it be lonely in the world (whats the use in half a story)
Whats the use? (half of a dream)
(have 2 climb all)
(the steps in between)

I like school very much, and I'll go to college if my career slows down. But kids go to college to be where I am today. Not to put college down, but for me, it would be digressing.
