Am I 'That'?
Am I 'that'?
That which has expressed my purpose?
Flaunted and yet,
Kept introspective.
Although touching with a respectfulness,
Impressing with an aggressiveness.
That is brought to birth,
Without pretensions to suspect.
For mindsets to collect and digest!
Am I 'that'?
That which has expressed my purpose?
Flaunted and yet,
Kept introspective.
But,
Exposed to those who choose to inspect.
From a diversed and eclectic selection.
To enjoy just a nibble...
Or disregard an effort released at my best!
I can not make every taste,
Unforgettable!
That I have yet to try!
Should I continue to let you decide,
I 'am' that!
Am I?
For you to say an arrival has been made?
Am I 'That'?
I've just begun another batch,
If you wish more!
I can not expect all my flavors to be savored.
Some are whipped to be delicious.
While a few may sit.
To do nothing with until I give them the attention,
They wish to get.
Perhaps they become the ones,
To attract when I'm done.
For you to say an arrival has been made?
Am I 'That'?
I can start another batch,
If you wish more!

I'm an introspective person. I'm not an extrovert.

But generally speaking, I tend to be quiet and introspective.

To exercise at or near capacity is the best way I know of reaching a true introspective state. If you do it right, it can open all kinds of inner doors.
They lyrical content has grown more introspective and less abstract. I don't know if that's good or bad... Sometimes it feels a little raw to be putting so much of myself out there.

I just turned 30 so I got really introspective as you do, questioning my life. And when I stopped and sort of looked back at the past decade, I realized I had done more work than I thought I had done.

In my circle of friends, I've always been loud and funny and talkative. But as soon as I step out of that circle, I get very quiet and introspective. I don't want the spotlight on me.

As long as any adult thinks that he, like the parents and teachers of old, can become introspective, invoking his own youth to understand the youth before him, he is lost.

Usually, when I do a soundtrack, the music from the movie doesn't have anything to do with me personally. It's music to enhance to the film. My own stuff is more introspective and about what's on going in my head.

Wet dog
Looks into a rain pool
Contemplative
When it rains
Cats sleep on window sills
Pensive mice
Meditative rain
Gently descends

More Difficult It Became To Be Objective
For many years I did my best,
To be objective.
With attempts to reject...
My own introspective thoughts.
Or be perceived as being,
Subjective in my perspective.
And yet be expected to accept.
But having experiences,
Kept me reflective.
And more difficult it became,
To be objective and remain...
Emotionally disconnected.
Especially when I became more affected,
By being the subject of much insensitivity.

Collective Introspective
A collective introspective was praised!
However,
The guest of honor to be applauded,
Was turned away upon arrival.
Unrecognized.
Since the person appearing,
Was not perceived to be the same person
To which such accomplishments and deeds
Were identified!
And the donated check brought tax free,
By the one accustomed to giving...
To benefit those in attendance,
Was destroyed
Without one sign of annoyance
Displayed by the one disrespected,
So many thought did not have the 'right' presence!

A Loving Tale
Oh the ballad of us star crossed two,
we sing we dance we parade
as we so often actually do,
our songs are quiet
introspective sweet nothings
to the ears of the heart,
our dances are wild
spontaneous as our whims
and our parades are private
as we gallivant amongst each other,
our eyes speak this language.
a language i could swear
was divinity in its purest,
no mistakes no misperceptions
just bliss. from one eye to the next.
i wish so hard to feel that one-
exact moment... where for us both
i know,
everything fades away
and all that remains is two,
one soft touch against another.
(that is what i want)

Street Song
(dedicated to Mr. Renaud Capuçon, a talented violinist)
narrow
cobbled
fishing villages
gripped by passion
easels
flagstones
small squares
central fountain
low and dry
stone walls
coolness
Summer
warm
gaiety
bathed in
evening light
shadows
sunsets
surrounds
s cenes
silent wind
inner existence
introspective paths
pleasure loneliness
(inspired by Felix Vallotton's Street in old Cagnes at sunset)

Stir Like Flashes Of Moonlight
Memories of teenage summer nights
stir like flashes of moonlight
on North Beach sea waves at night
blurred water white crested sight
rolling in upon shadowed beach
next to Tip Head skimming illusions
polished images of how we were
seen through introspective lens
ghost cries of gull and youth
mingle then now through dimensions’ change
some swam hard to catch wildfire lightning
to voice shock waves echo in new lands

That Is Not An Offer
How can you say,
With 'me' you have been direct?
I find you too convoluted.
Too introspective.
Too self involved with issues,
You have protected.
And you wish me to be the one you select...
To find you irresistible?
As if I'm seeking someone...
With looks and no depth?
Those days for me have long 'petered out'.
I use to have a pet!
But today I'll settle for all the peace of mind I can get.
And chasing behind mysteries...
I'd rather leave alone to be drama free.
Do you see how clear my eyes are?
You will not find them clouded with doubt!
Or vacantly awaiting for an occupation,
Of your BS planted to upset.
That will be a bet made you lose.
You will not find strategic steps of your 'mess'
Accepted here to endear to leave confusion.
And that is not an offer.
That is a conclusion.

Had Once Been Delivered to Others As Given
If given a voice attention to listen...
Ears open with silent lips,
May hear with an understanding...
That which has eclipsed,
Comprehension quickly dismissed.
If a choice to delay information,
That comes.
The message to be delivered,
May not produce the right outcome...
For some expecting more.
And a continued conflict sits within those minds.
Sitting with a grasping restlessness,
To express time after time...
They have found themselves outdone.
Wishing empathy to be shown by 'anyone'.
Although not introspective in self inspection moods.
To perceive what has been received,
Had once been delivered to others as given!
With much thoughtlessness...
Dumped upon them to leave,
To brood in solitude.

My Mysterious Flower
Fragrant -Mauve, Purple - Flower
Violet my best flower
You make me at ease you give me Power
Lavender Flower - Mysterious Flower
what a relaxing scent! There is No More Stress
a field of Lavender thwarts a deep Sadness
You're my balm - you soothe my annoyance
Just one deep breath- I go into a trance
your enigmatic color, make me pensive
meditiative
contemplative,
introspective,
reflective.
I wonder the Lavender scenery
I dive
no north, no south, no east, no west
I am your faithful captive.
