The British feel of blues has been hard, rather than emotional. Far too much emphasis on 12 bar, too little attention to words, far too little originality.

Song: Spell Out The Blues
There's no-one who's better,
Better than you!
No ruthless go-getter,
With the dumb luck of youth.
There's no-one who's better,
Better than you!
A fashion trend setter,
Who's never uncouth.
My life's such a clutter,
But what can I do?
I've pulled down the shutters,
And choked off the view.
The world is a gutter,
A foul smelling brew.
And my writings still stutter,
To spell out the blues.
Spell out the blues!
They spell out the blues!
All the words that I splutter,
Spell out the blues!
There's no-one who's better,
Better than you!
I'm your prisoner in fetters,
Though you're never cruel.
There's no-one that's better,
Better than you!
No grudge or vendetta,
To play me the fool.
There's no-one who's better,
Better than you!
I am dry cheddar,
While you are just smooth.
There's no-one that's better,
Better than you!
You sent me those letters,
So I'd walk in your shoes.
Walk in your shoes!
Walk in your shoes!
I'd pound out the leather,
And walk in your shoes.
My fragile self shatters,
Yet you flatter me.
My attention is scattered,
I fall to my knee.
How can it matter,
If satyr I be?
For I am the Mad Hatter,
Of sad irony.
A sad irony!
A sad irony!
Like metal I'm battered,
By a sad irony.
With a mind sharp as butter,
I ferret the clues.
A weird internet-er,
Who studies the news.
Some call me a nutter,
But I cannot lose.
When the words that I mutter.
Spell out the blues.
Spell out the blues!
They spell out the blues!
All the words that I utter,
Spell out the blues!

Asare
Age and experiences,
Strong emphasis and compassions;
The conerstone of a marriage is to keep the couples together.
An approach of love and of the plans to regulate,
For the willingness of love is what you bring top me;
And i am the candle-light at your dinner.
Of a joyful sensual woman,
Of the romantic attention given to her;
And in the course of time and nature to reach out to the skies!
Life is like a place to visit never known before,
For your heart needs the directions of your lover;
And to be on this love is like the blues of the sea.
To touch the emotions of things and to love you,
With the feelings of the blues to share all day long;
But the strong hold on this love is for you oh Asare.

Blues Of The Months
The blues of January,
The blues of February,
The blues of March,
The blues of April,
The blues of May,
The blues of June,
The blues of July,
The blues of August,
The blues of September,
The blues of October,
The blues of November,
The blues of December,
Meet me there if you can!
And like Glory-Land and Merry-land;
But my home will always accept in your sweet blues.

The Blues Line
Hear blues arrived from Southern starlight,
like musical blackbirds in flight.
Originally with negro spiritual flow,
underlined with the hard blues glow.
Moving across mason dixie line,
discovering Chicago rhythm and rhyme.
Where going electric was the thing,
man did you hear the sounds ring.
The howling wolf amongst others,
Muddy Waters, BB-King were brothers.
Creating chess musical legends anew,
whose fiery blues sound rang true.
Across the Atlantic ocean way,
the Chicago blues found a new day.
A new British scene was born,
another blues voice found form.
Blues stars like the great John Mayall,
created a new sound to set sail.
The Yardbirds and The Cream,
set fire to the blues guitar dream.
Blues music lets us feel,
allowed us to often heal.
Gives rise to higher emotion,
lets us share some sweet devotion.
2012 has blues musicians anew,
sons and daughters take musical cue.
Play those twelve bar song blues,
man have you heard the news.
The blues sound remains forever,
blues cats will forsake never.
As long as sunlight shall shine,
rhythm song beat shall rhyme.

Babys Gone Blues
(pat bunch, pam rose, mary ann kennedy)
I feel the blues coming on
Cause I feel you being gone
Its something I wish I could lose
Babys gone blues
There aint no sunshine in sight
Cause youre gonna leave me tonight
My heart is sure feeling bruised
Babys gone blues
Chorus:
Oh - love has gone wrong
Its so hard on my heart going from good into gone
There aint no easy way back into nights before you
Babys gone blues
Babys gone blues
Its like a razor on me
Knowing you want to be free
Im standing here feeling used
Babys gone blues
There aint no dreams coming true
I wont recover from you
There aint no heartache like you
Babys gone blues
Repeat chorus:

City Boy Blues
Fireflies in dogfights
Runnin hot in the heat
Street noise, another bribe
Things too hard to believe--so head out
My hearts in the country
My feets in the city with you
All my friends are eatin sushi
Talkin bad about you know who-who-who
My tongues talkin riddles
But I just cant seem to find a clue
So I take a swig of whiskey
And jump into the saddle with you-you-you
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
I got the city boy blues
I got the city boy blues
I got the city boy blues
I got the city boy blues
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
Cats in the alley
Rats in my snakeskin boots
All my neighbors think Im crazy
And my girl thinks Im losin my cool-cool-cool
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
I got the city boy blues
I got the city boy blues
I got the city boy blues
I got the city boy blues
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
Dont look to jesus to change your seasons
Its the american dream
Souls of gypsies, road of stone
Cant seem to find no peace--so head out
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
I got the blues, I got the blues, got the city boy blues
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
I got the blues, I got the blues,
I got the blues, I got the blues
I got the blues, I got the blues,
I got the blues, I got the blues

Love Art Blues
Ive got the love art blues
Dont know which one to choose
Theres really something to lose,
With these love art blues.
I went and played too hard,
And I lost my mind.,
Oh, these love art blues
Leave me a heavy one.
My songs are all so long
And my words are all so sad
Why must I choose
Between the best things I ever had.
I spilled my promise cup
I really dont know why
Now the distance lies
Between you and i.
My songs are all so long
And my words are all so sad
Why must I choose
Between the best things I ever had.
Ive got the love art blues
Dont know which one to choose
Theres really something to lose,
With these love art blues.
I went and played too hard.

Poems And Music
Poems and music.
What a delicate unit!
I’ve tried to express it.
I’ve chosen simple words:
love, dreams, birds…..
They are the heart of my feeling,
they are my musical heeling,
they are reflected in my blues,
in beautiful and magic tunes.
Love melody a saxophone sings,
Sweet dreams my blues brings.
My lovely midnight blues!
It can’t be expressed in words:
love, dreams, birds….
My blues is in my heart,
have no wish with it to part,
but bring it to your tender arms,
for you to feel my blues charms.

Satellite Blues
She makes the place a jumpin'
The way she moves around
She like a rump and rollin'
That's when she get it out
And when she start a rockin'
She bring me to the boil
She like to give it out some
New satellite blues (new satellite blues)
New satellite blues (new satellite blues)
A picture clear for watchin'
The dish is runnin' hot
The box is set for pumpin'
She gonna take the lot
The way she get the butt in
She's gettin' set to ball
I like to chew it up some
New satellite blues (new satellite blues)
New satellite blues (new satellite blues)
New satellite blues (new satellite blues)
New satellite blues (new satellite blues)
Can't get nothin' on the dial
The frigin' thing gone wild
All I get's the dumbed down news
New satellite blues
New satellite blues (new satellite blues)
New satellite blues (new satellite blues)
I got the satellite blues (new satellite blues)
New satellite blues (new satellite blues)
This thing's nothing but a load of crap
I'm gonna send it right back
You can stick it where it hurts...

Everybody Has The Blues
Poor puppy, you look so sad
I guess you think that no one ever
Felt so bad before
Everybody has the blues
Everybody has the blues
Everybody knows the way that you feel today
Everybody gets to sit and cry
Everybody gets to wonder why
Everybody gets to watch the sky turn grey
Maybe you lost your job
Maybe you lost your girl
Maybe you feel like youre losing your mind
Thats not the end of the world
Everybody gets to feel some pain
Everyone got to get to caught out in the rain
Everybody got some days that they cant explain
Everybody got the blues
Everybody has the blues
Everybody knows the way that you feel today

The Blues Come Around
Once I was happy as I could be but I let a gal make a fool of me
And ever since she let me down the blues come around when the sun comes down
Oh the blues come around oh the blues come around
Lard the blues come around every evenin' when the sun goes down
[ guitar ]
As the sun is in the sky those doggone blues never make me cry
But ever since she left this town the blues come around when the sun goes down
Oh the blues come around...
[ fiddle ]
I've built my castle very high and then she went and said goodbye
Ever since she poured 'em down the blues come around when the sun goes down
Oh the blues come around...
[ steel ]
Once she called me all her own but now she's gone and I'm alone
And every evenin' I'm sorrow bound
Cause the blues come around when the sun goes down
Oh the blues come around...
[ guitar ]
Oh the blues come around...

A Child With The Blues
Could have never known that when losin'
Could hurt you so very bad
Could have never known that when chosin'
Could make you feels so very sad
I don't know what to do
I just feel so confused
I'm a child with the blues
Take your time, smell the flowers
Oh yeah
Make a smile for yourself
Yourself
Girl, don't make livin' so hard
So hard, I keep tellin' myself
I keep tellin' myself
Feels like I'm goin' away
Sometimes it ain't all damn fair
I'm a child with the blues
Baby, blue
Sisters, sisters
I know you're watchin' me
There are a lot of games reachin' for you
Constantly
When you think you're grown
You're entering the unknown
Baby, check yourself
Brace yourself
Face yourself
Protect yourself
Ooh, feels like my life is just existing
And I'm missing someone
It's hard to replace the simple fact
It's 'cause my lover is gone
Tell it to ya ....
And you're walkin' in my shoes
You're a chils with the blues
I can't stop the flow, can't stop it
Of the wet tears in my eyes
And if you're any other many kind of women
Woman in pain, gotta rely, rely
Same emotion we share
Movin' fast but goin' nowhere
Like a child with the blues
A child with the blues
Baby, blue
This child is blue
Show no blues
A child with the blues, ooh
Blue...

Alone Come to Me
When you are posing in Sunlight you hold...
I feel ecstatic.
I feel the magic!
When you command my attention that grows...
I feel ecstatic.
I feel the magic!
Alive in me.
My heart I want you to own,
Alone!
When your smile brightens the clouds disappear.
I feel ecstatic.
I feel the magic!
I can't deny my eyes twinkle with cheer.
You bring the glow,
I want to be near.
I rise at midnight...
Anticipating joy to carry on.
Before the dawn even awakens!
I can't disguise...
All the feelings I have,
I must expose.
You must know...
You leave me emotional!
This you 'have' to know!
When you are posing in Sunlight you hold...
I feel ecstatic.
I feel the magic!
When you command my attention that grows...
I feel ecstatic.
I feel the magic!
Alive in me.
My heart I want you to own,
Alone!
Alone!
Alone...
Come to me!

There's no way in the world I can feel the same blues the way I used to. When I play in Chicago, I'm playing up-to-date, not the blues I was born with. People should hear the pure blues - the blues we used to have when we had no money.

Millionaire Blues
I woke up this morning, my jacuzzi wouldnt work
Then the butler quit on me, man, can you believe it? jerk!
Must have been my artistic temperament he couldnt take
How come nobody wants to give me a break?
Ive got the blues right down, mean and low
Im as low as the heels of my alligator shoes
You should know how it feels to have these millionaire blues
Millionaire blues
Well, I found one of my bathrooms and I made it to the sink
I called one of my managers up and I poured myself a drink.
Oh, I swear Id kill that little weasel if I could
I checked myself in the mirror - my hair was looking good, but
I had the blues right there, mean and mean and mean and low
As low as the heels on my alligator shoes
You should know how it feels to have these millionaire blues
Millionaire blues
Get down!
Well, so much for breakfast, I couldnt face lunch
I thought Id raise my spirits with a little champagne brunch.
I take the lamborghini, the flunkie parks the car
Can you believe it, man, this other monkey wont let me in the bar!
I said, I said, dont you know who I am, man? and he says, no.
No! can you believe it?
Im as low as the heels of these alligator shoes
You should know how it feels to have these millionaire blues
Millionaire blues, to have these millionaire blues,
Millionaire blues
Bad, bad!
Thats bad! yeah
So hard,
Its hard sometimes for a boy
Ah, I like that
Thats good
Get down!
Youre making a very big mistake, man
Oh yeah
Youll never work in this town again!
All right

Too Young For The Blues
Such a bad thing to run away from my mother
Right into the arms of a lover
I should walk away from you in my brand new shoes
Because I'm just too young, too young for the blues
I'm a baby, and your kiss is so tender
I'm a big fool if I ever surrender
I'll come back some day when I learn the rules
Because I'm just too young, too young for the blues
Soon enough the blues will come and break my heart
So I'll make my getaway before the teardrops start
It's a hard game and I'm just a beginner
Why play if the blues is the winner
If I stick around I know I'll lose
Because I'm just too young, too young for the blues
Soon enough the blues will come and break my heart
So I'll make my getaway before the teardrops start
It's a hard game and I'm just a beginner
Why play if the blues is the winner
If I stick around I know I'll lose
Because I'm just too young, too young for the blues
Just too young, too young for the blues.

Emotional Tangle
(j. farrar/b. thorpe)
The moment we met you knew me
I felt you melt into me
Wrap round my heart and shake me inside
One simple conversation
Such gentle communication
Love found a way in and to my surprise
From the emotional angle
Were in an emotional tangle
And if you feel like Im feeling
Its love from this angle
This tangle can never be tight enough
Till now it was easy stalling
Feeling but never falling
Id always stop before it could start
Love brought our lives together
With a magic that lasts forever
And nothing on earth can tear us apart
From the emotional angle
Were in an emotional tangle
And if you feel like Im feeling
Its love from this angle
This tangle can never be tight enough
I just cant get enough
Want you day and night
No taking away my appetite
So spin me in circles
Pull me tighter and tighter to you
From the emotional angle
Were in an emotional tangle
And if you feel like Im feeling
Its love from this angle
This tangle can never be tight enough
