Poems And Music
Poems and music.
What a delicate unit!
I’ve tried to express it.
I’ve chosen simple words:
love, dreams, birds…..
They are the heart of my feeling,
they are my musical heeling,
they are reflected in my blues,
in beautiful and magic tunes.
Love melody a saxophone sings,
Sweet dreams my blues brings.
My lovely midnight blues!
It can’t be expressed in words:
love, dreams, birds….
My blues is in my heart,
have no wish with it to part,
but bring it to your tender arms,
for you to feel my blues charms.

Satellite Blues
She makes the place a jumpin'
The way she moves around
She like a rump and rollin'
That's when she get it out
And when she start a rockin'
She bring me to the boil
She like to give it out some
New satellite blues (new satellite blues)
New satellite blues (new satellite blues)
A picture clear for watchin'
The dish is runnin' hot
The box is set for pumpin'
She gonna take the lot
The way she get the butt in

Babys Gone Blues
(pat bunch, pam rose, mary ann kennedy)
I feel the blues coming on
Cause I feel you being gone
Its something I wish I could lose
Babys gone blues
There aint no sunshine in sight
Cause youre gonna leave me tonight
My heart is sure feeling bruised
Babys gone blues
Chorus:
Oh - love has gone wrong
Its so hard on my heart going from good into gone
There aint no easy way back into nights before you
Babys gone blues
Babys gone blues
Its like a razor on me
Knowing you want to be free
Im standing here feeling used
Babys gone blues
There aint no dreams coming true
I wont recover from you
There aint no heartache like you
Babys gone blues
Repeat chorus:

The Blues Come Around
Once I was happy as I could be but I let a gal make a fool of me
And ever since she let me down the blues come around when the sun comes down
Oh the blues come around oh the blues come around
Lard the blues come around every evenin' when the sun goes down
[ guitar ]
As the sun is in the sky those doggone blues never make me cry
But ever since she left this town the blues come around when the sun goes down
Oh the blues come around...
[ fiddle ]
I've built my castle very high and then she went and said goodbye
Ever since she poured 'em down the blues come around when the sun goes down
Oh the blues come around...
[ steel ]
Once she called me all her own but now she's gone and I'm alone
And every evenin' I'm sorrow bound
Cause the blues come around when the sun goes down
Oh the blues come around...
[ guitar ]
Oh the blues come around...

Blues Leave Me Alone
(by james lane)
Blues, blues trying to drive me away from home.
Blues, blues trying to drive me away from home.
Had the blues so bad, blues followed me all day long.
Blues, blues wont let me take my rest.
Blues, blues wont let me take my rest.
My mind is rambling like a wild geese out in the west.
Well, youre my all day steady, baby youre my midnight dream.
Yes, youre my all day steady, baby youre my midnight dream.
I love that woman better than anyone Ive ever seen.
Blues, blues follow me all day long.
Blues, blues follow me all day long.
Blues, blues wont you please leave me alone.

Out Of The Blues
Words out of the blues,
Works out of the blues,
Minds out of the blues;
My dream girl came out of the blues and,
You could see me now like a new born baby.
The way you want me is what i am now,
For i have been too long in the rain.
Out of the blues came my lover,
Out of the blues came my girl;
You can now see me with her always.
Out of the blues with the kiss of love around us,
I have been too long in the rain;
My love is as white as snow.
Roses are red and violets are blue but,
Your greenlight is an eye catcher;
When the going gets tough,
The tough must get going.
Like the true love given to Einstein,
That the news flash to you about this love;
Like the true love given to Robert Redford,
Out of the blues came my lover;
Rome was really not built in a day.

Passion
The keys to notes play tunes of loss,
Tunes of longing, tunes of blues.
'Til metal enshrouding the air does trump with
Tunes of longing, tunes of blues.
Wood and string provide a base for
Tunes of longing, tunes of blues.
Encased in brass belong the bones of
Tunes of longing, tunes of blues.
Emblems and traps do kick and swear by
Tunes of longing, tunes of blues.
Until laughter disturbs this sweet eden,
My tortured soul lies bare.
I leave my emotions encapsulated
In sonic vibrations of air.
The tunes of longing and tunes of blues
Are played until the eve
When players no longer respect their tears
And thus, themselves, deceive.

City Boy Blues
Fireflies in dogfights
Runnin hot in the heat
Street noise, another bribe
Things too hard to believe--so head out
My hearts in the country
My feets in the city with you
All my friends are eatin sushi
Talkin bad about you know who-who-who
My tongues talkin riddles
But I just cant seem to find a clue
So I take a swig of whiskey
And jump into the saddle with you-you-you
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
I got the city boy blues
I got the city boy blues
I got the city boy blues
I got the city boy blues
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
Cats in the alley
Rats in my snakeskin boots
All my neighbors think Im crazy
And my girl thinks Im losin my cool-cool-cool
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
I got the city boy blues
I got the city boy blues
I got the city boy blues
I got the city boy blues
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
Dont look to jesus to change your seasons
Its the american dream
Souls of gypsies, road of stone
Cant seem to find no peace--so head out
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
I got the blues, I got the blues, got the city boy blues
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
And I just cant seem to break the shackles of the city boy blues
I got the blues, I got the blues,
I got the blues, I got the blues
I got the blues, I got the blues,
I got the blues, I got the blues

Lady Sings The Blues
(b. holiday/h. nicholas)
Lady sings the blues
She got them bad
She feels so sad
Wants the world to know
Just what the blues is all about
The blues aint nothing
But a pain in your heart
When you got a bad start
You and your man have to part
Lady sings the blues...

Lady Sings The Blues
Billie holiday / herbie nichols
Lady sings the blues
Shes got them bad
She feels so sad
Wants the world to know
Just what the blues is all about
Lady sings the blues
She tells her side
Nothing to hide
Now the world will now
Just what the blues is all about
The blues aint nothing but a pain in your heart
When you get a bad start
When you and your man have to part
I aint gonna just sit around and cry
And now I wont die
Because I love him
Lady sings the blues
Shes got em bad
She feels so sad
The world will know
Shes never gonna sing them no more
No more

The Blues
Hes gonna tell you bout his dear old mother
Burned up in a factory in springfield, mass.
Hes gonna tell you bout his baby brother
Hustlin down the city streets
And selling his ass for a dollar bag
Hes gonna tell you bout his uncle neddy
Locked up in a prison out in oregon
Hes gonna tell you bout his best friend eddie
Killed in a bar fight with a pair of marines
And a sailor
Oh
Hes got the blues, this boy
Hes got the blues
You can hear it in his music
Hes got the blues, this boy
Hes got the blues
You can hear it, you can hear it
When I was nine years old
My daddy ran away
With a woman he met on a train, oh
His little boy
Ran to the room
Where his piano
Lay in wait for him
He played and he played
He played and he played
Hes got the blues, this boy
Hes got the blues
You can hear it, you can hear it
Hes got the blues, this boy
Hes got the blues
A year ago, I met a girl
I thought wed hit a massive groove
But she dumped me
And all wed hit were the blues
Hes got the blues, this boy
Hes got the blues
You can hear it in his music
Hes got the blues, this boy
Hes really got the blues

Ive Got The Blues More Than You Do Blues
Grew up in the mississippi delta
In a shotgun shack
Washboard for my pillow
til the tax man took that back
Moved out on my own
I was just eight years old ... top that
You think you got the blues
Look at my life
Ive got the blues more than you do ... blues
When I was an itty-bitty baby
I was my mamas only surviving son
She used my head as a washrag
I thought it was fun
Walked to school upway both ways
With no legs ... top that
You think you got the blues
Look at my life
Ive got the blues more than you do ... blues
Got so drunk the other night I couldnt find my way home
Had to have a blind man show me
When I finally did get there,
My own dog had disowned me
A womam in a bar just looks at me and coughed and said
I dont even know you, but I wish youd die off ... top that
You think you got the blues
Look at my life
Ive got the blues more than you do ... blues

Bad Case Of The Blues
(kenneth gamble / roland chambers)
(such a bad case of the blues)
Ooh, hoo, hoo, hoo
I thought that you would be
A little different when it came to lovin me
Now, I see I was living a dream
cause all I do is cry
And kiss your love goodbye
Got a bad case of the blues
Its what I get from lovin you
Such a bad case of the blues
Its what I get from lovin you-oo-oo-oo
I thought that I would never see
How it feels to live a life of misery
I dont have anything to look forward to
But miss the love Ive lost
And pay the losers cost
Got a bad case of the blues
Its what I get from lovin you
Such a bad case of the blues
Its what I get from lovin you-oo-oo-oo
Now all I do is cry
And kiss your love goodbye, hey
Got a bad case of the blues
Its what I get from lovin you, babe
Such a bad case of the blues
Its what I get from lovin you
Got a bad case of the blues
Its what I get from lovin you
Such a bad case of the blues
Its what I get from lovin you, yeah
A bad case of the blues
What I get from lovin you, baby
Such a bad case of

I have heartaches, I have blues. No matter what you got, the blues is there. 'Cause that's all I know - the blues. And I can sing the blues so deep until you can have this room full of money and I can give you the blues.

Blues In Minor Key
'Twas a lovely night in gay Paree
The stagelight was beating on him and me
He took my heart and spoke so well
And told me things no one else could tell
But far away in a barren tree
The birds sang the blues in a minor key
He was a lonely tramp in the world of rhyme
With words that caught me just in time
I gave him my body I gave him my soul
In front of the stage I played my role
But far away in a barren tree
The birds sang the blues in a minor key
The chimes of freedom rang that night
And stars in heaven were shining bright
The songs he sang were like ice and fire
Leading me through the bush and brier
But far away in a barren tree
The birds sang the blues in a minor key
Behind his mask and behind his name
He left the stage with nothin' to claim
Like a shooting star in the empty skies
Our love was done without any ties
And far away in a barren tree
The birds sang the blues in a minor key
And far away in a barren tree
The birds sang the blues in a minor key....

Just Remember I Love You
When it all goes crazy and the thrill is gone
The days get rainy and the nights get long
When you get that feeling you were born to lose
Staring at your ceiling
Thinking of your blues
When there's so much trouble that you want to cry
The world has crumbled
And you don't know why
When your hopes are fading
And they can't be found
Dreams have left you waiting
Friends have let you down
Just remember I love you and it'll be alright
Just remember I love you
More than I can say
Just remember I love you
And it'll be alright
Maybe then your blues will fade away
When you need a lover
And you're down so low
You start to wonder
But you never know
When it feels like sorrow is your only friend
Knowing that tomorrow
You'll feel this way again
When the blues come calling
At the break of dawn
The rain keeps falling
But the rainbow's gone
When you feel like crying
And the tears won't come
Then your dreams are dying
Then you're on the run
Just remember I love you
More than I can say
Just remember I love you
And it'll be alright

Leaving Those Blues Behind
Going training...yes training
hopping freight cars
and leaving the
blues behind
Tired of trying...yes trying
I'm burning
all the bridges, leaving all
those blues bebind
Tomorrow will bring
a new day
far away...far away
from those big bad blues
So I'm leaving
clicka the clack, the rails
take me away
from the blues
Don't grieve for me
Don't feel relieved for me
Don't say you loved me
Don't try to heal me
Just take away my blues

Bet On The Blues
Bet on the blues (paxton)
Copyright 1975 accabonac music
Five hundredll buy you a stack. bet it on the red or the black and youll
Lose, bet on the blues.
You tell me youre a gambling man.
Try to beat the house if you can and you lose, bet on the blues.
If youre looking to get an inside slant,
If youre looking for something so good you cant refuse, bet on the blues.
Find a man who thinks hes over the hump,
Im here to tell you hes a kind of a chump you can use, bet on the blues, bet
On the blues.
Lucky old sun is shining today. even money says youll be paying some dues, bet
On the blues.
You say you found your lady fair.
Eight to five shes wearing her traveling shoes, bet on the blues.
Five hundredll buy you a stack. bet it on the red or the black and youll
Lose, bet on the blues.
You tell me youre a gambling man.
Try to beat the house if you can and you lose, bet on the blues.
If youre looking to get an inside slant,
If youre looking for something so good you cant refuse, bet on the blues, bet
On the blues,
Bet on the blues, bet on the blues, bet on the blues.
