So Much For Human Rights And Liberty

In China they jail everyone who dare to speak their mind
And even in the so called Democratic Countries you will find
That many innocents have been jailed and even executed wrongfully
So much for human rights and liberty.

Even the United States the so called Land of the free
In human rights has a poor history
And people have been wrongfully jailed and executed there
But then it's true of course that life is not always fair.

In Britain due to acts of terror by the I.R.A.
Many for the crimes of others had to pay
And spend years in jails far from home and family
Though wrongfully condemned they suffered years of ignominy

In Australia they incarcerate refugees
In detention centres in the outback in landscapes barren of trees
Though not guilty of any crimes they spend months and years locked up because
Of bureaucratic red tape and oppressive laws.

Though for freedom and justice many young men have fought and died
Not alone in China but in Countries World-wide
People are still wrongfully incarcerated at the pleasure of the State
And due to a miscarriage of justice left to an uncertain fate.

Something

I think now that it seems pointless
Because I've thought about it so long
Now I don't have anything to confess
So right now nothing's wrong
You seem to have known it all along

I won't try to prove it to you
Because It's only something you can't see
What I'm saying is completely true
Because how would you prove it to me
It's just someting meant to be

It's only something you can feel
About that special one
It's not something which you have to deal
Nor a negotiation
It's just something that has begun

If that something were to break
It would only be a token
To a heart so wrongfully broken
And a big mistake
Sinking in a neverending lake.

Views From Here....

the afternoon sun
leaves its last light cast upon the dusty leaves of the mango tree

the sea is calm and from a distance it hardly moves
as though it has given all its waves away to the passing winds

a red truck parks beside a cemented fence
below it so much of gravel and unwanted fragments of rocks

as i finish another work deciding upon the
liberty of this man wrongfully accused

of a crime which he denies as always
as not having committed it

i am pondering now how to see the truth beyond all these
views.

Frogs

What does friend mean to you?
A word so wrongfully abused
Are you like me, confused
All included but you
Alone...
The sounds of silence often soothe
Shapes and colors shift with mood
Pupils widen and change their hue
Rapid brown avoid clear blue
Whys it have to be this way
Be this way
Flowers watched through wide brown eyes
A child sings an unclaimed tune
Innocence spins cold cocoon
Grow to see the pain too soon

Gone not lost

I become like them that go down into the pit
I'm the walking dead to these haters
trying to survive
in this dark and gloomy world
It's like I'm the prisoner
yet convicted and sentenced
just for being born
To some I'm all mixed up
with eyes of silhouettes following me
but when I see how there souls are
it's all covered in granite....

All The Pilgrims

All those married shall cheer and stride
Like the marchers of religion and gain.
Silent worshippers are like pilgrims of the night,
They never whisper or stride wrongfully
And objectionably, merely they strive.
No mind is against the pilgrims of the night
Who are not beggars of the light,
Who are some of us as well,
Who let pilgrimage be like a journey of choice
That man suffers for woman and child.
Anything in the light of the book of God
Shall be with pilgrims of choice,
Their minds are set upon life of the world beyond.

The Love Sonnets Of Proteus. Part IV: Vita Nova: XCII

WRITTEN IN DISTRESS
We sometimes sit in darkness. I long while
Have sat there, in a shadow as of death.
My friends and comforters no longer smile,
And they who grudge me wrongfully my breath
Are strong and many. I am bowed beneath
A weight of trouble and unjust reproach
From many fools and friends of little faith.
The world is little worth, yet troubles much.
But I am comforted in this, that I,
Although my face is darkened to men's eyes
And all my life eclipsed with angry wars,
Now see things hidden; and I seem to spy
New worlds above my heaven. Night is wise
And joy a sun which never guessed the stars.

William Shakespeare

Sonnet LXVI

Tired with all these, for restful death I cry,
As to behold desert a beggar born,
And needy nothing trimm'd in jollity,
And purest faith unhappily forsworn,

And gilded honour shamefully misplaced,
And maiden virtue rudely strumpeted,
And right perfection wrongfully disgraced,
And strength by limping sway disabled,

And art made tongue-tied by authority,
And folly, doctor-like, controlling skill,
And simple truth miscalled simplicity,
And captive good attending captain ill:

Tired with all these, from these would I be gone,
Save that, to die, I leave my love alone.

The Clinic

I was sitting upon your knee--
When i was all of twenty-three--
And i can still remember you speaking so softly...
On that Friday that seems like an eternity;
You told me that i was your lady--
Why you even called me your baby---
Out in the open-never shady...
Even though everyone knows your rather cagey;
You told of your feelings to your best friend Bob...
Who was just outside about to turn the knob...
But with no intention to wrongfully rob---
Or even act like a nosey slob;
He came inside to see you and me---
And i was still upon your steady knee----
Bob said that we looked 'happy as can be'----
He said that 'The truth shall set us free'! ;
For so long our love song had been outta tune---
And of course you blamed it on the waning moon----
But we rekindled by the end of June...
And married we would be real soon;
So here i am still upon your manly knee----
And i am aware that you are fine tuning me...
You're like a doctor without the fee...
A visit to your clinic was: 'an absolute necessity! ';

unwanted recollections for J.T ellison

I slept and in my dreaming wept
for promises I made: Unkept
The promises I did not keep
return to haunt me in my sleep.

Sometimes prevailing circumstance
had meant that I had little chance.
To do what I said I would do,
at other times it’s sad but true.

Some promises I made were not meant.
I knew that I had no intent
of doing what I had promised.
There seems to be an endless list.

The guilt I feel is real and deep.
My conscience will not let me sleep.
All of the things I should have done
but did not do each single one

Returns at night to punish me.
I must admit deservedly.
Sins from the past I now regret.
I only wish I could forget.

But I cannot although I try
Because I acted wrongfully
I understand the reason why.
My guilty conscience bothers me.

I See

Some few have the ability
to see what others cannot see.
Is it a blessing or a curse?
A process that they can’t reverse.

Some few but they are very few
are happy that they can preview.
Future events and be forewarned,
Although their prophecies are scorned

by those who are unwilling to
expand their narrow point of view.
Blithely ignore the evidence
which tends to support prescience.

When things foretold prove to be true
They cannot change their narrow view.
Perhaps afraid that what seers see
must happen: Inevitably.

But those who have the second sight
do not claim they are always right
The fleeting visions which they see.
They may interpret wrongfully.

Nor do they claim they can foresee
every eventuality
They know too well the scenes they see
may be long past or yet to be.

In due course most will decide
to keep quiet; try to hide
the fact that they sometimes see
the future intermittently.

If you have this ability
then you will surely understand.
You won’t see what you wish to see
it is not under your command.

So Many People Wrongfully In Jail

So many people wrongfully in jail
Even in some so called Democratic Countries where the justice system some does fail
For political reasons or for reasons otherwise
Democratically elected governments spread fear through their lies
Of people they imprison from elsewhere
Who to challenge their right to be in their homeland did even dare
Many imprisoned as terrorists are not terrorists at all
And many of those with power in their ways are so small
They cling to power by their spreading of fear
From them we hear what they only want us to hear
Democratically elected governments who in their justice system take pride
With the power of might who feel they have right on their side
They may talk of human rights, justice and freedom but that's rhetoric nothing more
Actions speak louder than words we have heard that before

The Mother Believes Her Son

He is serving three years for armed robbery but the mother says my son is not a crim
He is not the one who robbed the uptown drug store for someone else the cashier mistook him
My son has told me that he is not guilty and what he tells me I always believe
He is a kind, honest and loving person and does not use guns and is not known to deceive
The mother believes her son has been wrongfully imprisoned she says my son should not be serving time
My son was mistaken for a lookalike person he was not anywhere near the scene of the crime
Of course she believes what her son did tell her even though her son told her a blatant lie
And she will go on believing he has been wronged right up until the moment that she die
You will not find a love truer or greater than the love a mother has for her daughter or son
She stands by them through their trials and tribulations her offspring in her life are number one
A good mother will stick up for her children despite what others of them have to say
She will always be there for to support them when all others from them turn away
Her son has served a third of his three year sentence she visits him every second day
She says my son he is not even guilty for someone else's crime why should he pay?

If Silence Breaks Its Silence

IF SILENCE BREAKS ITS SILENCE
Melvin Banggollay

The tail of silence riding with the wind
whispers echoes of rumor mongering
but when asked to accost its humming
Mute was his lips as if he knows nothing.

If silence will break its own silent beam
then lot of things could have been seen
Justice could have reign if eyes be keen
and tongue unafraid to tell what had been.

For fear of life, the ear of silence remain
to be deaf forever even it hears disdain,
The eyes that see is blind again and again
as lips close to shout for silence to reign.

Be brave to break the silence that reign
for truth to radiate justice that regain
Hope to those who sung victims pain
and torment to those that inflicts disdain.

Written when my father was wrongfully accused
of a crime of frustrated homicide that he never have done.
