A free life cannot acquire many possessions, because this is not easy to do without servility to mobs or monarchs.

The fish and I will chat
Sometime it swims right up to the glass
as if it would talk with me –
opens its mouth, fixes me with a watery eye;
a moment when we can exchange silent thoughts,
about whether it’s better to be confined
in a tank, but free of all possessions,
compared with the freedom to acquire
so many possessions; or which of us
dislikes the more, a dentist’s waiting room..
nod and smile to know we both share
that joke about the fish in the water
never being thirsty; swimming in what
we take for granted; like, say, grace, or God..
so the fish flips its tail, is off; both of us
in agreement about freedom, meditation.

All Covet
You know
I know
all covet
all lost.
I am here
you are here
to acquire
and acquire
not knowing
what to acquire
how to acquire.

Safety is peace
Acquire skill. Acquire knowledge.
You are not robbed.
Acquire wealth. Acquire power.
You are robbed.
Peace comes where safety rules.

Free Easy
Afloat on the ocean, adrift in the sea
Noone around us, theres just you and me
Alone on an island, asleep on the shore
Miles from everyone, I need nothing more
And Im feeling free & easy, and Im feeling free & easy
And Im feeling free & easy, just knowing that your there
We wake in the morning, we walk by the shore
Miles from everyone, I need nothing more
We float on the ocean, we drift in the sea
The water surrounds us, so easy and free
And Im feeling free & easy, and Im feeling free & easy
And Im feeling free & easy, just knowing that your there
We float on the ocean, we drift in the sea
The water surrounds us, so easy and free
And Im feeling free & easy, and Im feeling free & easy
And Im feeling free & easy, just knowing that your there
And Im feeling free & easy, and Im feeling free & easy
And Im feeling free & easy, just knowing that your there

Aint it strange
That when youre onely
And your friends theyre not around
So you make your big decision
Get your feet back on the ground
When youre down
And no one wants you
And you wonder who you are
When your friends
They dont desert you
When you make it youre a star
But Im gonna stay
Free and easy
I know just what I am
Im gonna be free and easy
Well, Ive been through
All the heartaches
And Ive been through all the pain
But when youre up and riding high
Everybody stakes their claim
Im gonna be free and easy
I know just what I am
Im gonna be free and easy
Im gonna be free and easy
I know just who I am
Im gonna be free and easy

I am beginning to have a healthy dread of possessions, be it of a country, a house, a being or even an idea. If we are bothered by possessions we cannot really live either from without or from within; we are the possession of our possessions. All wars and most loves come from the possessive instinct. Why grab possessions like thieves, or divide them like socialists when you can ignore them like wise men: that you may belong to everything and everything be yours inclusive of yourself. Could we, and we can, have the vital necessities for all, we should do away with this cry of class and begin to differentiate between individuals.

Easy
Know it sounds funny
But I just cant stand the pain
Girl Im leaving you tomorrow
Seems to me girl
You know Ive done all I can
You see I begged, stole
And I borrowed
Ooh, thats why Im easy
Im easy like sunday morning
Thats why Im easy
Im easy like sunday morning
Why in the world
Would anyboddy put chains on me?
Ive paid my dues to make it
Everbody wants me to be
What they want me to be
Im not happy when I try to fake it!
No!
Ooh,thats why Im easy
Im easy like sunday morning
Thats why Im easy
Im easy like sunday morning
I wanna be high, so high
I wanna be free to know
The things I do are right
I wanna be free
Just me, babe!
Thats why Im easy
Im easy like sunday morning
Thats why Im easy
Im easy like sunday morning
Because Im easy
Easy like sunday morning
Because Im easy
Easy like sunday morning

Greed
How much do you really want?
If you had it would it really solve your problems?
Do you realise the pain it causes
Struggling for something you may never get
How much would you sacrifice if I told you I could change your life?
You don't have to take on my advice
Don't do something that you might regret
How much do you really need?
Is it justified or is it greed?
If you satisfy your vanity
If you get to where you think you wanna go
How much is it gonna take?
Will you see it through or will you break?
Cos in the end what will you have to show?
Life can be lonely
When all you have are your possessions
Greed becomes your main obsession
Just take it slowly
If what you want ain't what you need
You've become a victim of your greed
How much do you really feel?
Can you recognise when something's real?
Do you live your life by fake ideals?
Do you think that one day you will get the chance?
What happens if you don't achieve
Will it be enough if you believe
You can just rely on destiny
Don't you know your fate is in your hands
How much is enough for you?
When you reach the top what will you do?
Will you look around for something new?
Without the destination will you carry on?
Will you try day after day
Pretend you don't hear what they say?
What would you do if all your pride was gone?
Life can be lonely
When all you have are your possessions
Greed becomes your main obsession
Just take it slowly
If what you want ain't what you need
You've become a victim of your greed
Cos material possessions ain't the world
(Ain't the world)
Nobody ever bought you happiness with diamonds or pearls
(Diamonds or pearls)
You've gotta look at this for what they really are
(What they really are)
Or you'll find yourself wanting more
Going way too far
Life can be lonely
When all you have are your possessions
Greed becomes your main obsession
Just take it slowly
If what you want ain't what you need
You've become a victim of your greed
Life can be lonely
Just take it slowly
If what you want ain't what you need
You've become a victim of your greed
Life can be lonely
When all you have are your possessions
Greed becomes your main obsession
Just take it slowly
If what you want ain't what you need
You've become a victim of your greed
Life can be lonely
Just take it slowly...

Easy, Come On
Everybody called the lady easy
For the way the lady was to please
Everybody told her she was crazy
Lovin all that love away for free
People hate to see you make it easy
Theyll never understand
Some take life for granted
cause it seems to take so long
Easy takes it any way she can
Chorus:
Easy, come on, take it easy
Come on, here we go again
Let it go as easy as you can
Its the sweetest and the saddest place
A bodys ever been
Feelin easy come and go again
Instrumental break, and in the background:
.... easy
.... to please
.... she was crazy
.... and free
So lets take our time and make it easy
Bring that bottle from the shelf
Everybodys laughin when theres money, love and friends
When theyre gone the jokes are on yourself
Chorus:
Easy, come on, take it easy
Come on, here we go again
Let her down as easy as you can
Its the sweetest and the saddest place
A bodys ever been
Feelin easy come and go again
Chorus:
Easy, come on, take it easy
Come on, here we go again
Bring us down a bottle from the shelf
cause its easy come to anyone with money, love and friends
When theyre gone the jokes are on yourself

Wednesday's Wood
Wednesday's wood,
Deep in the forest for the women to carry;
But you've brought much trouble upon me!
Hunt,
Angry,
Hurt,
Acquire,
Possessions,
Oppression;
But after 21 days in the thick forest,
I will find my way back home.

Freedom
'Freedom' means you're willing
to give up all
'Want to be free? '
then give up your parents
your dog and cat
'Want to taste freedom? '
quit your job
burn your car
'Really free! '
give away your money
and your children
'Keep nothing! no possessions! '
obsessions...
no truths, no lies
no alibies
'Want to be complety free! '
Give up your life
everyone in someway is a slave or
they're not around to talk about it

The real "haves" are they who can acquire freedom, self-confidence, and even riches without depriving others of them. They acquire all of these by developing and applying their potentialities. On the other hand, the real "have nots" are they who cannot have aught except by depriving others of it. They can feel free only by diminishing the freedom of others, self-confident by spreading fear and dependence among others, and rich by making others poor.

He Rode On a Bus
Since he rode on a bus,
They believed him to be without powerful allies.
Since he rode on a bus,
They believed him to be limited in influence.
Since he rode on a bus,
And lived amongst the poor and not the rich...
He was disrespected more.
But only a few knew,
His worth was more than this.
Even though his funds were limited.
And since he chose to ride on a bus,
He knew he could do what he wished.
His life was not lived to acquire material possessions.
His life was lived for him...
To enjoy every bit of it.
Being there with the people,
As his experience.
And if he rode on a bus...
That was a piece of 'his' happiness.
No explanations did he have to make,
Since for him this was a perfect fit.
Unlike the others,
Who expressed pretentions...
Every chance they would get.

Lies have become the truth!
Not easy to cheat someone,
When we try to hide the fun of an offense,
We have to be careful and alert always,
Our actions should be monitored and concealed,
From the scrutinizing eyes of the loved ones,
Or the friends or the authorities,
The same lies have to be remembered,
Must memorize the lies to repeat,
At no point can afford to make a mistake,
What a frightful and tiring life it is,
When we try to cheat and lie, wearing the masks,
Eyes can't be met. as Something pricks,
Words are hard to come, as our tongue twists,
Hearts start to race fast, sometimes sweat,
Lying is not an easy task, when the burden felt,
life of lies worth or not, it seems to benefit,
those who have the desire to taste the fruits,
acquire and keep those as heavenly secrets,
deep in the silence and rot as not refrigerated,
life of lies is not easy to live, must act,
immaculate to the eyes of those suspicious,
once secured the trust and confidence of the innocents,
life of lies is great and lies will become the 'truth'.

People who get through life dependent on other people's possessions are always the first to lecture you on how little possessions count.
A Lonely Man
Unfounded were his concerns
About the need for ample finances
Marriage to the woman for whom he yearns
To share his life's remaining pages.
So the inevitable became probable
And giving up was the easy option
Goodbyes always hurt loving people
Haunting memories linger like poison.
Now traveling alone he felt lonely
His heart weighed heavy with deep longings
His ambition to be rich and be wealthy
Was accomplished, yet something was missing.
Without his lady love, it was barren
For possessions will never proxy that part.
True Love when lost does not come again
All the things in this world cannot fill the heart.
' A man's life does no consist in the abundance of his possessions, '
