All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.

Unlike any other visual image, a photograph is not a rendering, an imitation or an interpretation of its subject, but actually a trace of it. No painting or drawing, however naturalist, belongs to its subject in the way that a photograph does.

Twenty Five
A commercial
Would suggest
That our happiness
Is a quotient of power
And our misery
Is a direct reflection
Of our intellect.
I warn you:
Do not be assured
By slogans such as these
That suggest
Who
Or what you are—
Including this one.
I lie to you
As others lie to me,
And through those lies
We come to comprehend
What it means for us,
Individually,
To decipher
Our interpretation
Of a truth—
The truth becomes
Our life.

I have the right to interpretation as a dramatist. I research. It's my responsibility to find the research. It's my responsibility to digest it and do the best that I can with it. But at a certain point that responsibility will become an interpretation.

Militarism is basically a way of thinking, a certain interpretation of the function of the state; this manner of thinking is, moreover, revealed by its outer forms: by armaments and state organization.

Truth 'Is' As Oxygen Is to Life
People believe the value of truth,
Depends on interpretation.
They are absent of clues...
That truth is not a product of a whim.
It is something that sits within one's spirit.
And can be 'seen'!
Truth 'is' as oxygen is to life.
If something is tainted about it...
It doesn't have to be describe,
To know it is their existing.
It is felt.
It is known.
Like a blade of grass created.
Connecting to an accepted nature
That has embraced us.
That's how truth is!
To all who know it.
For those who don't...
Always have an excuse to hide behind!
As if steel and concrete will prevent truth
From being known!

There was a time when meanings were focused and reality could be fixed; when that sort of belief disappeared, things became uncertain and open to interpretation.

Oracle
The oracle said we would lose, its message was very clear.
'Abandon the bones of your fathers, your lands, businesses,
Round up your children, gather what articles of worth
Might feasibly be carried on your backs and get the heck out;
For the foe', it said, 'will descend like a whirlwind
Drink your blood and impress who's ever left
Into the vilest servitude.'.
Most believed and prepared to flee. Only one wise, old woman
Reluctant to leave her potato garden, shook a wise, gnarled finger
At the crowd and demanded a re-interpretation
(Which, of course, she got)
'Clearly', said the divines, 'on reconsideration
The oracle meant just to foretell the destruction of the foe';
We, ourselves, had nothing much to worry about
If we'd only take heart, think and manage our resources wisely;
Talk to each other with an extra measure of politeness and agree to agree;
Oh, and build a fleet.
Such was the re-interpretation of the divines.
That was ten years ago. Putting our faith entirely in the oracles
message;
As the divines bid we did, and when the foe invaded, won the day.
Truly these oracles have a way of changing that optimism never does.
Odd. Could it be that oracles are mostly a matter of interpretation?

Why Isn't Anyone Obeying The Rules?
Why isn't anyone obeying the rules?
'Rules?
Which ones?
The ones that were in effect,
That have been changed?
Or the ones no one ever obeyed,
After the changes were made...
To make the old ones more effective? '
That doesn't make sense.
'And maybe that's why they aren't being obeyed.
Which interpretation of rules are in effect?
And who's interpretation of those rules,
Should be respected?
If they aren't being followed by those who break them,
To obey,
Then who should say to whom what should be obeyed? '
What?
'Why repeat what is not in existence?
Does a cow drink its own milk,
To obtain stronger bones with a steady dose of vitamin D?
I doubt it.'
And...
Nevermind.
I am so glad I am not seeking explanation!

It Is An Inclusive Experience
The best way to inform those uniformed...
Is not to conform to an accepted normalcy.
In time there will be no need to debate,
Those feelings perceived about reality.
Truth brings along with it,
An interpretation needing few to describe its presence.
Somehow it is felt...
Without a single word spoken.
Nor is it known to dispense...
Displays of envy given with disdain.
It is an inclusive experience without question.

Interpretation: If you are going to do something, do it right.
Clearer To See Through
With the windows of the world...
And the people living within it,
Becoming clearer to see through.
Although some will still choose to believe...
They hide behind masks and disguises,
As if they can stop and block out one's vision!
No one graduates through life,
Without learning something...
About the process.
It's like the watching,
Of elementary school children...
Absorbing 'elementary' skills.
Once those skills are learned,
The mind begins to connect...
To an openness with a wish to progress.
Those things seen today,
Were not as obvious yesterday.
And when new lessons are learned...
The old ones just don't fade away.
They stay with a probing done!
And no one living under the Sun,
When light begins to shine on everyone...
Can keep what they believe is kept discreet.
Although they may perceive themselves,
As hiding secrets.
Or that truth,
Is a matter of one's interpretation of it.
And anyone who has ever been exposed to truth,
Knows there is only one...
Truth,
That becomes revealed.

With A Twist Of Forbidden Truth
As if flashes of light,
These days come to pass so fast.
And those hanging onto vivid memories,
Of times that are gone...
With a taking of them family and friends,
That from 'this' world have moved on...
Seems as if the life we live,
Is just a dream in the scheme of things.
And here we are...
Illusioned by myths.
And other fantastic historic tales to tell,
About an existence left mostly to interpretation.
To sweeten imaginations with the calling of it reality.
But how much of it really is...
Reality?
And to 'whom' do we credit our perceptions?
And at what price have those paid to distort the truth?
Or...
Could it be a possibility,
We are already in the midst of that being witnessed?
As it is being described as a re-focusing of purpose.
With a twist of forbidden truth broadening the minds,
Of those wisening with wider eyes.
