And in times and places where there was not much persecution, people could become and continue Christians who neither were nor professed to be very devoted persons.

Real people are places to me as much as persons: I want to see them, as I want to see the places I am fond of, in all weathers and at all times of the year.

A Village In Orissa, India
-Where Persecution of the Indian Christian Continues Unabated
A nun was raped by a gang of men;
A priest was beaten; his eyes gouged off;
And he finally died!
Churches were torched;
Sexual assaults are rampant;
Women and children were not spared;
Many were beaten and even maimed;
Some are missing;
Many were burnt alive;
Crowds have run to the shelter of forests;
Homes of Christians have been destroyed;
Many were driven naked in the streets!
Christians of this village live in fear;
Some have reconverted to Hindu faith to keep their lives;
Yet, the Indian Christian was always known for his non-violence;
If someone converts, it is the ‘will of God’.
And such things happen in a secular, democratic country like India!
And while all these terrible things are happening,
The rest of India - people, press, politicians, police
SLEEP
The world goes on as usual;
Perhaps, the beginning of new persecution of Indian Christians
And blood of new Christian martyrs
Is needed to cleanse the land
Of its sins!
God save these poor souls!
Please Jesus, forgive the perpetrators.
WILL NOT THE WORLD AWAKE

Jews have suffered persecution from misguided Christians who tortured the Jews for their part in killing Christ. These Christians forgot that Christ died because of the sins of all men.

When I go to the mountains (in answer to Bonaventure Hinwood)
When I go to the mountains,
witnessing Your wonderful creative power
in nature
it is clear that You keep Your hand
over all things
as if You are there more present
than at other places,
as if You cherish the whole wide world
like the Garden of Eden
caressing every little thing
against Your chest.
If I have got to believe Your word,
a time will come
when Christians like in times of old
have to flee from persecution
where the mountains will become
their sanctuary,
where a whole army
will not be able to get them out
and it lets me think about how the Waldenses
in days of old had to suffer
while they only wanted to read Your word
in Bibles in their own language
and was trapped in caves and burnt to ashes
by soldiers of an overwhelming religious force.

When an opinion is true, it may be extinguished once, twice, or many times, but in the course of ages there will generally be found persons to rediscover it, until some one of its reappearances falls on a time when from favourable circumstances it escapes persecution until it has made such head as to withstand all subsequent attempts to suppress it.

The Sty In Your Eye
Look into your eye, do you see that sty
As I have seen it many times before
Though you said it was not there,
But in your mirror you still stare,
So once again that sty you ignore.
When you are walking, and of course talking
About every person in your life
Tell me do you ever see it,
And from the discomfort do you feel it
That sty that’s in your eye.
What do you see, and what do you believe
When someone has it worse that you
Do you point out their imperfection
And say that they need a correction
Tell me what do you think and do.
You always judge, and hold onto a grudge
And live it with unhappiness and a lie
As though your not happy with your life
So you ridicule others with strife
So you forget about the sty thats in your eye.
You falsely accuse, and you use and abuse
With a glimmer and a joke and a smile
You point out another persons fault
And that persecution from you will not halt
As you do it with anger and hate and vile.
You've seen the mistakes, that others makes
And you'll remember them till the day you die
But until the moment from life you leave
Other persons failings you will always see
Wished you could see the sty in your own eye.

Point Of View
Two different people, two different places
Through a one way window with two different faces
Agreements are not reached, faces are forgotten
The other persons shoes, youve not got in
Stubborn minded enclosed to your own world
Wake up and see someone elses morals
What right to you
Might be true
Its a different point of view to you
You cannot see things that are different to me
And I cant understand why you cannot see
The things that I cannot see
I see what you dont see
I see what you dont see
Turn around and the shadows are all around me
Two different people, two different places
Through a one way window with two different faces
Agreements are not reached, faces are forgotten
The other persons shoes, youve not got in

In the greatest darkness
I look at the sky
and in the greatest darkness
see the brightest stars appear.
In life at the time of calamity
its greatest heroes rise
to point without uncertainty
the true way to go.
At times of persecution
more people turn to God,
than times was everything
goes well.
In times of destruction
and where people are travailed,
something in the human spirit
rise above inhumanity.
In the depth of night
the sweetest words are written
and from the cold dark earth
seeds come to life.

It is folly for an eminent man to think of escaping censure, and a weakness to be affected with it. All the illustrious persons of antiquity, and indeed of every age in the world, have passed through this fiery persecution.

I feel that Christian music is a subculture directed towards the Christians. It's not really being exposed to non-Christians and it's not really created for non-Christians, so non-Christians almost never hear any of this music.

To punish a man because we infer from the nature of some doctrine which he holds, or from the conduct of other persons who hold the same doctrines with him, that he will commit a crime, is persecution, and is, in every case, foolish and wicked.

Implemented Craziness
It seems as though the more I age,
The less I care about those who address pettiness.
And their hollowed professed confessions...
Of having beliefs in God.
And afraid to step out on their faith.
What sense does that make?
People 'say' they pray for peace!
And as soon as they are 'released'
From their places of worship...
I overhear them passing judgements.
And condoning needless wars.
People 'say' they pray for unity,
And brotherhood.
And in most neighborhoods,
There is conflict of some kind.
People 'say' they pray for racial equality.
As long as they are made to feel superior,
Over others of color.
And they are restricted from a quality of life,
That is diminishing rapidly in quality...
And those 'values' they uphold,
Are materialistic and has devastated the economy!
It seems as though the more I age,
The less I care about those who address pettiness.
And their hollowed professed confessions...
Of having beliefs in God.
And afraid to step out on their faith.
What sense does that make?
It seems as though the more I age,
Those who take offense
To an obvious display of implemented craziness,
Are quicker to defend this mess...
As if it is tradition.

In My Time
(copyright nazareth, tiflis tunes,inc.-ascap)
In my life theres places Ive seen,
Places Ive been in my life.
In my life theres things I have done,
Times I have won in my life.
Ships I have known,
Winds that have blown.
In my time were people who cared,
People who shared in my time,
Welcomed the good accepted the bad,
Enjoyed what I had in my time.
People Ive known
Times on my own
And now Im growing old,
In memory I can hold
My picture book unfolds and i
Can feel myself grow cold.
In my life theres times to forget,
Things to regret in my life,
May have done wrong but tried to do right
I followed the light in my life,
But now the lights grow dim,
My days are closing in.

Hopelessly Devoted To You
(john farrar)
Guess mine is not the first heart broken
My eyes are not the first to cry
Im not the first to know
Theres just no getting over you
You know Im just a fool whos willing
To sit around and wait for you
But, baby, cant you see
Theres nothing else for me to do?
Im hopelessly devoted to you
But now theres nowhere to hide
Since you pushed my love aside
Im out of my head
Hopelessly devoted to you
Hopelessly devoted to you
Hopelessly devoted to you
My head is saying, fool, forget him.
My heart is saying, dont let go.
Hold on till the end.
And thats what I intend to do
Im hopelessly devoted to you
But now theres nowhere to hide
Since you pushed my love aside
Im out of my head
Hopelessly devoted to you
Hopelessly devoted to you
Hopelessly devoted to you

Treasure for joy
Need two persons,
Mummy and daddy,
the result is me;
Need two persons,
My grandparents,
to take care of me;
Need two persons,
Child specialist and family physician,
to look after my health;
Need two persons,
My loving teachers,
to teach me manners;
Need two persons,
My sincere friends,
for play and pastime;
Time has come,
A good job has come,
A happy companion has come;
A beautiful wife to share my life,
We have two children, a girl and boy,
They are our treasure for joy.

Moved By His Love
Moved by The Lord’s amazing Love, sent to us free from Heaven above,
Just how could it be my dear friend, that we are so quiet about the end?
Indeed about the end of every life, and everyone’s need for Jesus Christ.
Could it just be a small possibility, some in the Church don’t care to see,
There are people today my friend, who know nothing at all about the end.
While we’ve been given eyes to see, God’s amazing Truth about Eternity.
You see my friend, you and me, have been blessed by God abundantly.
And His blessing we need to share, to show all men how much He cares.
The Spirit has given us the sight, to move our hearts from wrong to right.
And men still on the wrong path, must be warned about the future wrath.
Led from the path of Decimation, unto Christ and His Glorious Salvation,
Those of us, who with sight can see, should be signs pointing to Eternity.
Friend, it can be an awesome disgrace, if Christians latch onto this place.
For us this earth is not our home, but our hearts here continue to roam.
And in our hearts, at times we lust, for the worldly things surrounding us.
This is when our lives may seem to say, earth is the place I’d rather stay.
Maybe Christ in us, men can not see, because we are living too worldly,
When we should be strangers here, while living our lives in reverent fear.
With these days so evil my friend, Christians need to focus upon the end,
So before this world ceases to be, we can point more people to Eternity.
