Programmers and marketing people know how to get into your subconscious - they spend millions of dollars researching colors, shapes, designs, symbols, that affect your preferences, and they can make you feel warm, trusting, like buying. They can manipulate you.

Kid and the Sun
I look up in the sky and i see so many shapes and colors.
My life is what u see, but the colors are so dear to me
Kid talk- U make me smile everytime u shine
Sun-I want u to feel good and warm everytime
Kid talk-they say that u make people sick
Sun- only if u stand in my rays for a long time
Kid talk- Can i touch u
Sun- No my child cause I can burn u
Kid talk- When I look up at you your so bright, and beautiful
Sun- Thank u child I'm just doing what I suppose to do.
Kid talk- Last think why to we need u
Sun- U need me to make the crop grown and it will be dark and cold if I don't jump in
Kid talk- I see u and u see me and life is what it is and I love thee
Sun- I will always be around just look me up sometimes.

Premeditated Preferences
A trusting relationship,
Isn't one that has not been nurtured.
People seek others to make them happy.
As if to interview those deemed qualified.
If one doesn't arrive,
With a feeling of a happiness generated from inside...
Few will give their happiness away,
At the benefit of another's dismay.
Not today!
A trusting relationship,
Isn't one that has not been nurtured.
People seek others to make them happy.
As if to interview those deemed qualified.
And most times premeditated preferences,
Sit alone in the minds of those,
Already disappointed and negative!
And not conscious enough,
To know this is the life they've chosen!

A Picture Story For The Curious
(You supply the pictures!)
I get to meditate
in a chair!
Or against the wall
with my legs
stretched out!
(Or even in bed!)
I get to see
maybe half
of what I'm looking at!
(This changes everything!)
I get to dance
like the tipsy old men
I adored
when I was an infant!
(They never dropped me!)
I get to spend time with myself
whenever I want!
I get to ride a bicycle
with tall
handlebars!
(My posture improves!)
I get to give up
learning to sail!
I get to know
I will never speak
German!
I get to snuggle all
morning
with my snuggler
of choice:
counting the hours
by how many times
we get up
to pee!
I get to spend time with myself
whenever I want!
I get to eat chocolate
with my salad.
Or even as a first course!
I get to forget!
I get to paint
with colors
I mix myself!
Colors
I've never seen
before.
I get to sleep
with my dog
& pray never to outlive
my cat!
I get to play
music
without reading
a note!
I get to spend time with myself
whenever I want!
I get to sleep
in a
hammock
under the same
stars
wherever I am!
I get to spend time with myself
whenever I want!
I get to laugh
at all the things
I don't know
& cannot
find!
I get to greet
people I don't remember
as if I know them
very well.
After all, how different
can they be?
I get to grow
my entire
garden
in a few
pots!
I get to spend time with myself
whenever I want!
I get to see
& feel
the suffering
of the whole
world
& to take
a nap
when I feel
like it
anyway!
I get to spend time with myself
whenever I want!
I get to feel
more love
than I ever thought
existed!
Everything appears to be made
of the stuff!
I feel this
especially for You! Though I may not remember
exactly which You
you are!
How cool is this!
Still, I get to spend time with myself
whenever I want!
And that is just a taste
as the old people used to say
down in Georgia
when I was a child
of what you get
for getting old.
Reminding us, as they witnessed our curiosity about them, that no matter the losses, there's something fabulous going on at every stage of Life, something to let go of, maybe, but for darn sure, something to get!

Ours' To Be Had
I am within this shell.
Behind a wall I've erected,
To protect myself.
Trusting others is out of the question.
I have done that not to do again.
Well...
Not until 'my' preferences are met,
And scrutinized with a testing.
Oh yes.
When there is happiness,
And a lifetime togetherness involved...
With nakedeness?
There will be scrutiny.
I've learned too many lessons.
It only takes one experience,
To change one's mind.
It only takes one experience,
For one to redefine with certainty...
One's wants from a need.
And I have found,
The needing of nonsense in my life...
Is not what I want.
I am within this shell.
Behind a wall I've erected,
To protect myself.
Trusting others is out of the question.
I have done that not to do again.
Not until 'my' preferences are met.
And scrutinized with a testing.
And if the chemistry matches,
Unquestioned satisfaction is 'ours' to be had.
To age like a fine wine should.
With a cork ready to pop to please when needed.

Love's Colors
Love's colors are not all just black and white
The color of love, different to all
The prism of color is best in fall
They can be seen even in the dark night
See what you wish, red, pink, yellow or grey
Bask in its light, it will make you quite warm
It comes in all shapes and takes any form
Choose one you love best, and ask it to stay
Love's color is soft violet to me
I've only seen it twice in my long life
It's the soft color I see around thee
Both times I made that color my dear wife
I'm alone again and I do feel free
I cut out love's colors, and stopped the strife

True Colors
You with the sad eyes
Don't be discouraged
Oh I realize
It's hard to take courage
In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all
And the darkness inside you
Can make you feel so small
But I see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True colors are beautiful

Prescription: Love
I been wandering for quite a while
When it seems like love is all around
Seems when people cant get love
They substitute it with a bunch of drugs
If love was a drug that was real cheap
Everybody could get some sleep
I been wandering for quite a while
When it seems like love is all around
Seems when love dont get to far
They buy a real expensive car
If love was a car that was real cheap
Everybody would drive a jeep
Lets give love the marketing scam
Lets give love the marketing scam
Make it something they can understand
Lets give love the marketing scam
Lets give love the marketing scam
And get on with it
Ive been wandering for quite a while
When it seems like love is all around
Seems when people dont have nobody
They spend their time makin lots of money
If love was money and it was cheap
Everybody could get some sleep

We have come through a strange cycle in programming, starting with the creation of programming itself as a human activity. Executives with the tiniest smattering of knowledge assume that anyone can write a program, and only now are programmers beginning to win their battle for recognition as true professionals. Not just anyone, with any background, or any training, can do a fine job of programming. Programmers know this, but then why is it that they think that anyone picked off the street can do documentation? One has only to spend an hour looking at papers written by graduate students to realize the extent to which the ability to communicate is not universally held. And so, when we speak about computer program documentation, we are not speaking about the psychology of computer programming at all - except insofar as programmers have the illusion that anyone can do a good job of documentation, provided he is not smart enough to be a programmer.

The Colors Of The Rainbow
Rainbow colors make
me feel so happy
It reminds me of good
things that happened
in the past
The colors of the rainbow
are colors that are
marvelous
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green
Blue, Indigo and Violet
Are the beautiful colors
of the rainbow
These colors are the
good nice colors
The rainbow colors
come into the sky
after it rains
The colors are something
that when I see I
