Sophistication might be described as the ability to cope gracefully with a situation involving the presence of a formidable menace to one's poise and prestige (such as the butler, or the man under the bed - but never the husband).

A Husband...
A husband should be
Loyal and honest
A husband should be
Strong and protective
A husband should be
Loving and romantic
A husband should be
Patient and understanding
A husband should know
When enough is enough
A husband should know
When to fight and when to cry
A husband should know
all your goals and dreams
A husband should know
your strengths and well as your weaknesses
A husband needs to be a true man
A husband needs to love you unconditionally
A husband needs to know your heart is forever his

Were I Rich
I would like to stay gracefully beautiful
with no jewelry
with accepting the fate gracefully
the attitude
when anything goes down
it gives off its own beauty
when you accept yourself gracefully
you would see what you got
like sunset
and I would like to sleep well like a pearl
Today, there are too many points of view of equal value and prestige, each showing the relativity of the other, to permit us to take any one position and to regard it as impregnable and absolute. Only this socially disorganized intellectual situation makes possible the insight, hidden until now by a generally stable social structure and the practicability of certain traditional norms, that every point of view is particular to a social situation.

Watching Him Die.
Harrowing situation,
Cut to the bone with his affliction.
Invisible disease eating away,
His function and mind in decay.
His wife and best friend,
Whilst trying to understand.
Also just trying to cope,
Hoping against hope.
Wishing for a miracle cure,
As her husband's days get fewer.
Deeply in love, full affection,
Heart breaking decision.
Reluctantly too much on her own,
Professional care required in a home.

No Money No Honey
There is always talk of the town
As your tongue is sewn
You are speechless at home
You are pawn in her game
She has made you yes man
You are figure of obedient woman
You are doing whatever she demands
You are more of friend than husband
You have no money
So you are not honey
You are driven easy
As you are not choosey
You will be shunted from place to place
As she will use you horse in race
If you fail to reach home in time
You will forced to say outside sometimes
Learn to live with situation
Earn and love more in continuation
Show your worth to her and prove
Take her hand with pride and move
Create a formidable position and own
Make big name and remain known
All will respect if you have money and position
This old position may remain at back door and in transition
Women may want husband of their choice
Sing to their tunes and commit firm promise
They will submit only when assured of comforts
They will set aside anything even if there are bad reports

Curiosity
I always said I would never take the magic carpet ride
Yet curiosity took hold and I had no place to hide
As I spiralled into a wonderland of my own surreal creation.
And here I awaiting Alice to return, here I remain
Burning the images I keep of her and praying,
Hoping for the ability to cope with lasting
Another age in anticipation of her presence.
I burn so that I may paint anew just as
Springtime green stems from winter blue.
She rises, Goddess of the blanket sky
She rises, the kiss of dawn in her eyes.

Even now, after whatever gains feminism has made in involving fathers in the rearing of their children, I still think virtually all of us spend the most formative years of our lives very much in the presence of women.

He is unable to cope with the situation any longer.
At the age of eleven or thereabouts women acquire a poise and an ability to handle difficult situations which a man, if he is lucky, manages to achieve somewhere in the later seventies.

Dignity Matters
Placement and poise take a woman
To her dignity,
To which is linked her chastity,
Away from the intention of adultery,
Where rests her husband’s safety.

Supplements are replacements
Some would dread summer.
Once it sets in, they cope with it.
Some would dread winter.
Once it enters, they cope with it.
Loss of the dearest, you fear.
Once it occurs, you cope with it.
When you depart from the dear one
It would make him/her fit to cope with it,
And instead he/she would make someone dear
We endure what we cannot cur
With supplements and substitutes.

But honesty is ultimate success.

Decisions (acrostic)
Decisions are hard to make.
Every time there’s more to take.
Choices there are lots of,
Involving life, school and love.
Some decisions can be easy,
Involving friends and family.
Others can be more difficult.
None are to be left alone,
Since good decisions are your own.
