Our difficulties of the moment must always be dealt with somehow, but our permanent difficulties are difficulties of every moment.

War is being declared tomorrow here so perhaps you can understand that I have been working under difficulties, but difficulties negligible compared with what others have to go through.

A man in my situation, my lords, has not only to encounter the difficulties of fortune. and the force of power over minds which it has corrupted or subjugated. but the difficulties of established prejudice: the man dies, but his memory lives.

Who is clever
The clever make opportunities
Of others’ difficulties
And make difficulties
Of others’ opportunities.
Honesty has no place in politics.

Our achievements speak for themselves. What we have to keep track of are our failures, discouragements and doubts. We tend to forget the past difficulties, the many false starts, and the painful groping. We see our past achievements as the end results of a clean forward thrust, and our present difficulties as signs of decline and decay.

There are two ways of meeting difficulties: you alter the difficulties or you alter yourself meeting them.

Most do not fully see this truth that life is difficult. Instead they moan more or less incessantly, noisily or subtly, about the enormity of their problems, their burdens, and their difficulties as if life were generally easy, as if life should be easy. They voice their belief, noisily or subtly, that their difficulties represent a unique kind of affliction that should not be and that has somehow been especially visited upon them, or else upon their families, their tribe, their class, their nation, their race or even their species, and not upon others.

As a kid I quite fancied the romantic, Bohemian idea of being an artist. I expect I thought I could escape from the difficulties of maths and spelling. Maybe I thought I would avoid the judgement of the establishment.

Disturbances Errands Difficulties Pains Of Life
DISTURBANCES ERRANDS DIFFICULTIES PAINS OF LIFE
Disturbances, errands, difficulties, pains of life
And no time no time no time -
Self- made anxiety
And self- made frustration-
For what can I really do anyway?
A few lines of my own
In the silence of my own inner listening?
A complaint made in such a way
As to have a certain music and beauty?
Just peace inside as my own words come
And not all this clamoring to do things from outside?
A moment now here now is all I have today
Before the endless errands begin.

When I’m Perturbed
When I am perturbed
I don’t know
Where to go and what do?
I lose my patience
The mind is agitated
No relief from any where
Thoughts do not stop
I keep on thinking
The world
Is a useless place
Full of difficulties
Everybody is selfish
Love and affection
Doesn’t exist
Anger and frustration
Rules me
I pray to god
Ask him
How to end all this?
God doesn’t reply
But slowly the mind
Cools down
I start talking to myself
To my surprise
I find
I am to be blamed
For many miseries
My own actions
Increased my difficulties
I decide to take lesson
From the mistakes
I committed
Things become better
For me
The world now looks
A better place to live in

Unknown
A lost world
With so much suffering and pain
Nothing is ever understood
Occurrences often create trouble
Mind, goes berserk due to difficulties
How to handle the pain?
Is unknown
Life and a lost world
With suffering and pain
Due to difficulties a person becomes helpless
It is like being lost, with the wind
Unknown is life and unknown is world.

Nothing to Do With My Master's Plan
Straight and narrow.
And on a path paved...
Without a sign of an obstacle?
Few I've come to know...
Have traveled those roads.
With no difficulties at all to face?
Perhaps some wish,
Their lives had this pace.
But there is an advantage,
Of those twists and turns.
So much is learned from the adventure.
If I had my druthers to live another life...
I know those experiences,
Would be choices I would like.
And I know I would choose,
To refuse sorrow and pain.
With no difficulties at all to face?
Perhaps some wish,
Their lives had this pace.
But there is an advantage,
Of those twists and turns.
So much is learned from the adventure.
So much is there to gain.
And happy I am,
I had nothing to do with my Master's plan.

We see that every external motion, act, gesture, whether voluntary or mechanical, organic or mental, is produced and preceded by internal feeling or emotion, will or volition, and thought or mind.

The winner
When one loses
Hope
A positive thought
Revives it
When one is full of
Hope
A negative thought
Loses it
When one is defeated
If one thinks
I can do it
One can taste victory
A thought derived from
Introspection
Changes
Deeds and behavior
Of a person
A careful thought
Can avoid difficulties
A balanced thought
Can give justice
In the battle of life
One who thinks
Rationally, objectively
Honestly, positively
Passionately, correctly
In all possibilities
Is likely to emerge
As the winner

Hitherto I have courted Truth with a kind of Romantick Passion, in spite of all Difficulties and Discouragements: for knowledge is thought so unnecessary an Accomplishment for a Woman, that few will give themselves the Trouble to assist us in the Attainment of it.

Never trust the advice of a man in difficulties.
The difficulties we experience Always illuminate the lessons we need most.
When one is prepared, difficulties do not come.
