The sense of national catastrophe is inevitably heightened in a television age, when the whole country participates in it.

The heightened public clamor resulting from radio and television coverage will inevitably result in prejudice. Trial by television is, therefore, foreign to our system.

The Truth will kill you (comment any suggestions please! !)
The truth will indeed inevitably kill you.
The scars in my soul all seem too real.
The wound is jus too deep to heal.
The truth will indeed inevitably kill you.
The truth will indeed inevitably kill you.
Ignorance is only bliss
Left in this dark, cold abyss.
The truth will indeed inevitably kill you.
The truth will indeed inevitably kill you.
The pain is too much to bare.
So deeply I long to not care.
The truth will indeed inevitably kill you.

Sexual love beyond rein.
In a drama if a king commands,
He pretends, not participates.
In a drama if a villain angers,
He pretends, not participates.
In a love scene the pair participate
Though not revealing each other.
Faith in sex is not to be trusted.

Baseball hasn't been the national pastime for many years now - no sport is. The national pastime, like it or not, is watching television.

National Front Disco (live)
David, the wind blows,
The wind blows
Bits of your life away.
Your friends all say,
"Where is our boy?
Ah, we've lost our boy".
But they should know,
Where you've gone,
Because again and again you've explained
That you're going to . . .
Oh, oh, oh, going to . . .
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
"England for the English",
"England for the English".
David, the wind's blown,
The wind's blown
All of my dreams away.
And I still say,
"Where is our boy?
Ah, we've lost our boy".
But I should know
Why you've gone,
Because again and again you've explained
You're going to the National . . .
Ah, to the National . . .
There's a country,
You don't live there,
But one day you would like to.
And if you show them what you're made of,
Ah, then you might do.
But David, we wonder,
We wonder if the thunder
Is ever really gonna begin,
Begin, begin
Your mum says,
"I've lost my boy".
But she should know
Why you've gone,
Because again and again you've explained
You're going to the National,
To the National,
To the National Front disco,
Because you want the day to come sooner,
You want the day to come sooner,
You want the day to come sooner,
When you've settled the score.
Oh, the National,
Oh, the National,
Oh, the National,
Oh, the National,
Oh, the National

We have a certain group of people in this country that seem to want to lock up our national treasures, our national parks, and cherished places and keep the public from enjoying them.

National study of Physiology
Living in england just isnt what it used to be
Were living in a messed up parliamentary democracy
And to be telling the truth is now to be constricted
That is the results of my National study of Physiology
My study is of how everybody lives and work
But every movment I take im being followed
I get someone to tell the truth, there killed
And once again the nation is in sorrow
We are still a country with a constitutional monarchy
And the queen just comes out on a special occasion
Just looking on letting parliament close down free will
And still I carry on with my National study of Physiology
It now seems every day there a murder or death on the news
Its either caused by some disagrement from ethnic race’s
Another country have a brand new war
But then straight back to local where its caused by booze’s
And now I think I have my results of my National study of Physiology
And I can now leave with my keen understanding of my bioloigy.

We must not become the new puritans and reject our society. We must address and master the future together. It can be done if we restore the belief that we share a sense of national community, that we share a common national endeavor. It can be done.

It really lasted the whole game, because I was really untouchable, unstoppable that game. But it was heightened on one particular play, and that was the longest run where everything completely slowed down. My awareness was so keen, it was so heightened, it was really amazing.

Perhaps catastrophe is the natural human environment, and even though we spend a good deal of energy trying to get away from it, we are programmed for survival amid catastrophe.

The Full Catasrophe
Ive ridden down the sunset
Drank expensive wine
Ive been married two dozen times
Raised ten children on a workmans pay
And im glad to say ive enjoyed every day
Of the full catastrophe of life
Ive sat in courtrooms
Had people call me names
Ive been to london town
On a supersonic plane
I was lovin? your wife
While you were lovin? mine
And im glad to say ive enjoyed every day
Of the full catastrophe of life
Ive opened my belt to trouble everyday
Aint looking for a fight
But you know I wont run away
From the full catastrophe of life
Ive seen the goodness
Ive known the baddest around
I was tattooed when it first came out
I shook the hand that showed moses the way
And im glad to say ive enjoyed every day
Of the full catastrophe of life

National film industries tend to move in cycles. In Australia right now, we're on a high, a feeling of potential, which as yet shows no sign of flagging. But the word ""industry"" is misleading. A small national cinema has no industry in the Hollywood sense.

Bacterium
in a cloud like massive fog
where the peace does belong
where the waves smashes
against the rocks
I sense warning's
Behind this fog you hear a bird
sing us a song, in warning that we are not alone.
In this thick massive fog
from my beautiful Islands
I sense hunger for freedom
while on mine cheek bone my tears
like the rivers. And I hide my face
when the light get´s so bright
that it blinds my national right!
Because in this cloud like massive fog
I know in my thought a bacteria
that has poisoned the butterfly
so he carries on
with a bitter national song

Beloved Country, Endless Journey
from one ocean to another
the struggle for human progress
continues on its journey
towards the endless sky
2007, nearly over
20,000 homicides
childless mothers
weeping for the stolen lives
50,000 girls and women raped
stolen bodies
damaged lives
300,000 deaths from AIDS
the beloved country cries
brave and unforgotten ones
have brought this country back to one
Papa Mandela you all have met
now you know Lucky Dube too
but not the men who carjacked him
as he dropped off his sons
as if he were a stranger
unhuman to them
Gauteng, the unploughed fields
Cape Town's windy shores
Kwazulu hills so green and low
the feet of the Maluti mountains
draped in shame and snow
? ? , ? ? ? babies born
to HIV and pain
1.2 million orphans
crying to the silent wall
imagine the death of a single child
imagine if we lose them all
that long, unending journey
from slavery through prison
surviving torture all the way
up to the gates of freedom
come so far, from mbaqanga
to liberation song
cut down by bullets in the blink
of a man who was his brother
before the world went wrong
there's time to touch the golden shores
of a country loved so well
refusing all the turns to hell
remembering the starting place
and what they started for.

Notes on data:
Homicides (women and men) and rapes (grossly under-reported) - from national statistics.
Deaths and children orphaned due to AIDS - UN estimates based on national sources.
Numbers of babies born with HIV - unavailable, inevitably in the tens of thousands at current adult prevalence and treatment rates.
