Politicians also have no leisure, because they are always aiming at something beyond political life itself, power and glory, or happiness.

So Hard To Find
There are a few honest politicians so honest and faithful and kind
But they are such a small minority honest politicians are so hard to find
They would do almost anything for to hold on to power as power in their lives is their central theme
They put power in their lives before principle or at least that is how it does seem,
There are a few honest politicians though their type are becoming quite rare
And shady deals are concocted in high places in the bigger World out there
So much corruption in high places where success can come through deceit
Far decenter than them poor and homeless and living it rough on the street
To most politicians to lie is so easy and one lie leads to another they say
And they are referred to as 'the honorable' yet they tell more lies every day
They are tainted by their lust for power to power they so desperately cling
Yet many see them as quite special and many their praises do sing
And many out there are so gullible and to the faults of the power wielders quite blind
And 'tis sad that honest politicians are becoming much harder to find.

The Lust For Power Is An Addiction
The lust for power is an addiction the Government their own praises do sing
And rubbish their main opposition as to Government they try to cling
The voters bombarded with propaganda right up until election day
The true fact of all politicians is they seldom do mean what they say
The winners take all of the glory and the winners they do celebrate
The prize it is great and worth lying for that's how they feel those who wish to rule the State
The lust for power is an addiction and not a harmless addiction 'twould seem
Without such power some people feel worthless and suffer of low self esteem
Some people become so power hungry that power to their egos is fuel
They feel it is their right to Govern that they have been born to rule
The Opposition as bad as the Government they too want power in the worst way
Any respect to their political opponents they have no desire for to pay
It is all about power and their egos power to them is the best thing of all
Their pride to them is all that matter though pride it can come before a fall.

For about ten years now, the struggle for democracy and the respect of human rights has been in the focus point - if not a commodity - of political groups aiming to rise to power.

Cha-cha Controversy
CHA-CHA CONTROVERSY
Melvin Banggollay
In the desire of those in power
In my own native land of wonder
People seems to be in danger
As the ambitious political leaders
Are making all means to cover
their curruptions with all power.
My land is crippled by controversy
from ZTE broad band anomaly,
Election frauds in the presidency,
human rights violations everyday,
Currupt political clans and hypocrisy,
Agricultural scams of the century
with joc joc bolante's mastery,
and Senate and congress rivalry
for the impeachment of the presidency
Where the congress seems to display
the power of numbers to dismay
the impeachment of Aroyo's glory
at the expense of the the sovereignty
of the people of this Filipino country.
Now they are deploying another power
with the congress magical number
To sustain the controversial term of power
of the president by amending the charter
of the constitution to a unicameral chamber
which would abolish the senate's power
to fiscalize the congressmen's fury
to enjoy their political machinery
in conspiring with the seat of the presidency
to serve the people or currupt the country.
Their greed for power, wealth and money
keep them so inspired to form conspiracy
even they had to lost their own dignity
as stewards of the people's sovereignty
as guardian's of a just and fair democracy
as trusted servant of the Filipino soceity
but sometimes the blame is not only
among the politicians of this country
but also among the many people of society
who voted them because of their money,
goons, political influences and machinery
and not on the basis of their honesty
and ability and skill to serve with dignity.

A Blow For The Manifesto…
Enough food is produced to feed the whole world,
Africa included, but it cannot be distributed, infrasystem
and political power is non-existent, politicians usurp
foreign aid, police ordered to control an election aren’t
paid because corrupt politicians pocket their money,
police have to bribe and steal to eat
There is enough food, Europe has to destroy surplus
production – distribution to needy nations is too costly
and well-nigh impossible in Africa, like Ethiopia where
stockpiling weapons and bad policies are guaranteed
to create a starving population that simply breed more
kids as fodder for political machinations -
What a terrible blow for the
Human Rights Manifesto…

Mother Of The Universe
Our mother who art of the universe,
Hallow be thy name.
Thy wisdom reign, thy will is done,
As it is to be.
You gave us life and protection,
And see us through our confusion.
Teach us love and freedom,
As it is to be.
For thy is our wisdom and power,
Glory forever.
For thy is our wisdom and power,
Glory forever.
For thy is our wisdom and power,
Glory forever.
For thy is our wisdom and power,
Glory forever.
For thy is our wisdom and power,
Glory.

Controversial
Fight for happiness
you may reach it,
and you may not
or fight for glory,
tighten your belt
you will reach it
and in the way you chose
you will meet shape of welfare
and the breeze of freedom will manipulate you
in the happiness way
or you will feel the bliss of asceticism
while carrying in your heart a belief
in your mind a knowledge
and in your hand a battle-ax
in the glory way
then simply compare
the happiness when achieving glory
with the glory when reaching to happiness
this is controversial.

Those only are happy who have their minds fixed on some object other than their own happiness: on the happiness of others, on the improvement of mankind, even on some art or pursuit followed not as a means, but as itself an ideal end. Aiming at something else, they find happiness by the way.

A Canadian Tea Party
We need control of our Ottawa politicians somehow,
Maybe a tea party or something that we ourselves allow,
We need binding referendums soon but how do we get them?
Trudeau’s Charter didn’t help and the media will condemn.
We need political recall of useless politicians,
I realize that this is contrary to elitist traditions,
We need compulsory voting to get us all out to vote,
They will delay everything and say that they’ll take a note.
And make Trudeau’s Charter of Rights for Canadians alone,
Not for all refugees in the world from every combat zone,
We need set-date elections for sure every four or five years,
Not when they feel inclined because of political party fears.

It is the paradox of life that the way to miss pleasure is to seek it first. The very first condition of lasting happiness is that a life should be full of purpose, aiming at something outside self.

WHAT CAN CANADIANS DO? MAR 18th,2011
Canadians don’t complain about having to measure in meters,
Or about having to buy their expensive gasoline in liters,
And we can’t ever go back in time to measure again in miles,
And we can’t have binding referendums as politicians smile.
I feel I should apologize for having the wrong attitude,
And our lack of political control in this latitude,
We need binding referendums and death with dignity soon,
Why is that so difficult for a political goon?
Our first-past-the-post politicians want to do things their way,
No proportional representation allowed any day,
Ottawa stays without proportional representation,
Looking down from their comfortable high elevation.

The Pearls Of Wisdom
Put on your thinking cap
And take happiness breaks and gaps
And try to follow the happiness guide
Then life will seems precious and wide
So pray for it is the greatest power
That takes you close to God's shower
And love for it is the God given gift
That gives you life a brighter lift
And think for it is source of power
That plucks for you the success flower
And work for it is the sucess price
That teaches you to become wise
And also be friendly for it is the way
Which leads you to where happiness sway
And laugh for it is the music of soul
And help you to reach your aim and goal
And when you'll follow this happiness guide
Then life will look bright and wide
And on life's path you will find more pearls
Scattered all around you in curls.

Politics Attracts A Certain Mind Set
governments are seldom
part of the solution
often part of the problem
politics attracts
a certain mind set
immoral values?
allegiance sold
to shifting highest
bidders made
all power corrupts
absolute power
absolutely corrupts
might proves
who is strongest
not who is right
when will contemporary
twenty-first century
politicians prove quality
take high moral ground
on serious global political issues
partisan policy neglected?

Happiness To Me
Does Happiness depend upon comfort? ’
The answer is definitely a big, ‘No! ’
Happiness lies in not comforts alone!
Happiness is not a static quality of the
human mind, body and soul.
All can’t remain happy all the time.
It would be foolishness to wish for a life,
filled with happiness alone;
Life could become boring, when happiness is prolonged.
Even A pauper can be happier than the prince.
Even A beggar smiles and sleeps well, despite much strife.
Happiness is a frame of mind that’s dynamic in nature;
Happiness is a kind of mood of feeling very well;
Happiness is a state of one, when life seems worth living;
Happiness is all within;
Happiness is in giving;
Happiness is in sharing;
Happiness does not depend on comforts;
Happiness cannot be bought by money;
Happiness is not all luxury;
Happiness is in being child-like, though adult;
Happiness is in sacrificing for others’ sake;
Happiness is in doing acts of charity;
Happiness is when you’ve led a righteous life.
Happiness to some is in dreams alone;
Happiness to some doing risky feats;
Happiness to a few is in a sheer lazy life;
Happiness to me is in loving.

Commander Of All Evils
Politicians are the commander of all evil spirits
Their belief: deities are vain trifles
They have vowed to devotion themselves
Damnation, shoes, or slap does not frighten them
Nor they have distinction in hell and heaven
They are the least worried for the terrors of hell
Gulf exists between politicians and people
Politicians’ element is of devils
People are purely idol of virtuosity
Pride of power has allured them into hell
They will never see the face of God
They will never taste the eternal joys of heaven
When you kill a tiger you say a sport
When the tiger attacks on you, it is ferocity
When you kill millions of men
Politicians propagate peace and prosperity
You design to kill the innocent
Often the innocent are called the mastermind
Your evil spirit of policies creates the path of terrorists
Often our judiciary pronounces their innocence
People should not feel tormented with the sufferings
Inflicted by the politicians
People will have everlasting happiness of peace
And enjoy in heaven
Heaven is of God and for His dear one
Let them rule in hell
The breaking news flashes on channels
Politicians have embraced everlasting
Damnation by entertaining dangerous thoughts
Against people, nature and God’s fury

Where these politicians
Where these politicians are taking us for?
Do they think they are materials of hard core?
No fear and sensitivity in their approach
What can we think of or do away with such people?
They claim to be saint politicians
Grab only limited things from public fans
Keep under constant threat with bribery
Now allowing coming out from slavery
Heavy thrust on passing convenient legislations
That can build their empire with sound relations
Enough of money to siphoned off from treasury
And later on to be spent on abroad visits and luxury
Public may die of starvation and under nourishment
No will power to offer resistance with popular movement
Whole democratic powers hacked to their advantage
Skillfully drafted the clauses for with efficiency to manage
Farmer are committing suicide with everything to loose
Politicians are flourishing with level playfield to choose
Amassing wealth and fortunes over night
Where is the will power to protect and fight?
Innocents are sprayed in the street
Demonstrators are button charged and greeted
Where is the respect for freedom of speech?
Who can come forward for lessons to teach?
The clock may not stop pendulum
The resistance maybe offered minimum
If that is not heeded to and honored
Some harsh provisions may be explored
No lust for wealth is satisfied
It is on and on and never fulfilled
It may not end if not forced politically
This can be done by staging the rallies
The political weapon must be used
The violent methods must be refused
It may end the tyrannical rule
Only you take care of not becoming tool
Raise the banner to full extent
Show the readiness with full consent
The political struggles are full of hardships
It may pull you down from the sailing ships
It requires great courage and sacrifice
It has so much to do with given promises
It may come down to laying down of life
Leaving behind parents, children and wife

On Irish Politics And Politicians
Politics in the Republic of Ireland with any joy I can't recall
Nepotism rife in the ranks of the three major parties Labour, Fine Gael and Fianna Fail
Jobs for their kin and their mates only Irish Politicians in their ways so small
In Politics since my time in Ireland suppose things would not have changed much at all
I was never a member of any Irish Political Party to me they seemed a very flawed lot
The way they conducted their business I certainly haven't forgot
Any one party not cleaner than the other honest politicians anywhere hard to be found
I recall amongst Irish Politicians that nepotism did abound
They grew old and retired on their big pensions they took care of themselves and their own
Honesty and fairness with them not a high priority the most of them for such not known
When they spoke of doing good for the Country they did not mean what they did say
They only helped their families, friends and relations respect to them I could not pay
There were a few honourable Irish Politicians just a few that I can recall
But honesty does not survive well amongst Politicians they are a flawed lot overall.
