He who does not attempt to make peace
When small discords arise,
Is like the bee's hive which leaks drops of honey
Soon, the whole hive collapses.

Sonnet: The Bees Never Give Up

Every time, they crush the bees to death and
Steal away their sweet honey in a trice;
And wax to make candles of immense size;
The Queen bee escapes to another land.

The bees comeback; with vengeance start again
A small bee-hive in the very same place!
They work extra in the sun and in rain,
Buzzing to flowers in a frenzied pace.

And soon their hive has been rebuilt and full,
Of sweet honey and larvae that are fed;
The bees continuing without a lull,
Searching for more nectar in every mead.

How well Nature takes care of its species!
Man must learn from the bee-hive and the bees.

Smokin' The Hive (feat. Clint Eastwood)

I was ten years old on my grandpa's farm when it happened
After all these years i can still hear grandpa laughin'
As he applied that barnyard remedy
He passed his wisdom down to me
You don't reach for the honey without smokin' the hive
I remember my first crush was on the preacher's daughter
We were smoochin' on the front porch swing that night when he caught her
We weren't expectin' him home until quarter past ten
When the good Lord taught me that lesson again
You don't reach for the honey without smokin' the hive
You don't point your pistol before you check each chamber
And you don't drink no you don't drink when you drive
It's just ordinary common sense to avoid that danger
You don't reach for the honey without smokin' the hive
She rolled into town with rodeo, she was a beauty
And that cowboy saw you wink at her,she was a cutie
The sound of jinglin' spurs caught me dead on a run
He was fit to be tied and you were under the gun
You don't reach for the honey without smokin' the hive
Chorus.
No,you don't reach for the honey without smokin' the hive
You're gonna get stung boy

Their hive [Stupul lor]

Their small hive, on glen below,
Is defended all around
By three poplars full of snow,
Rising from the snowy ground.

The beekeeper left them there
And the winter covered all –
Bringing sadness and despair –
With a nice embroidered shawl.

Yet, inside the cozy hive
All the bees, without delay,
As a single body strive
And work hard, day after day.

For they never toil alone
But together, all the time,
Buzzing on a lively tone
They make honey sweet, sublime.

Two Children

Two children (small), one Four, one Five,
Once saw a bee go in a hive,
They'd never seen a bee before!
So waited there to see some more.
And sure enough along they came
A dozen bees (and all the same!)
Within the hive they buzzed about;
Then, one by one, they all flew out.
Said Four: 'Those bees are silly things,
But how I wish I had their wings!'

Edgar Lee Masters

Davis Matlock

Suppose it is nothing but the hive:
That there are drones and workers
And queens, and nothing but storing honey --
(Material things as well as culture and wisdom) --
For the next generation, this generation never living,
Except as it swarms in the sun-light of youth,
Strengthening its wings on what has been gathered,
And tasting, on the way to the hive
From the clover field, the delicate spoil.
Suppose all this, and suppose the truth:
That the nature of man is greater
Than nature's need in the hive;
And you must bear the burden of life,
As well as the urge from your spirit's excess --
Well, I say to live it out like a god
Sure of immortal life, though you are in doubt,
Is the way to live it.
If that doesn't make God proud of you,
Then God is nothing but gravitation,
Or sleep is the golden goal.

Tired of Being the One Stung

Some have no idea they are loved unconditionally.
They perceive themselves to be the honey,
To an addicted bee.

And when that bee takes flight...
The one who believed the honey 'had' would last,
Discovers too late in a self reflection...
'That' bee was the only one,
Who could supply the honey preferred and liked.
To leave the one left for a taste for some.
When a craving missed...
Abandons a dismissed appetite.

And nothing done,
By those pretending to be 'that' bee...
Could come to satisfy like the one,
Who flew the hive!
After getting tired of being the one stung.

And what had been unconditional,
Is wished to return to quench the taste.
But the one who knows what it takes...
Can no longer waste what is made,
On anyone who believes...
They've got the only hive around.
And 'that' bee wont flee!

The Lake Isle Of Innisfree

I WILL arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made:
Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honeybee,
And live alone in the bee-loud glade.
And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;
There midnight's all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,
And evening full of the linnet's wings.
I will arise and go now, for always night and day
I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;
While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey,
I hear it in the deep heart's core.

My Bees: An Allegory

"O bees, sweet bees!" I said, "that nearest field
Is shining white with fragrant immortelles.
Fly swiftly there and drain those honey wells."
Then, spicy pines the sunny hive to shield,
I set, and patient for the autumn's yield
Of sweet I waited.
When the village bells
Rang frosty clear, and from their satin cells
The chestnuts leaped, rejoicing, I unsealed
My hive.
Alas! no snowy honey there
Was stored. My wicked bees had borne away
Their queen and left no trace.
That very day,
An idle drone who sauntered through the air
I tracked and followed, and he led me where
My truant bees and stolen honey lay.
Twice faithless bees! They had sought out to eat
Rank, bitter herbs. The honey was not sweet.

King Bee

Im a king bee buzzing around your hive
Now Im a king bee darling buzzing around your hive
Yeah, I can make some honey babe if you let me fly up inside
Cause Im young and able to buzz all night long
Im young and able mama, lord to buzz all night long
And you know together we can make some honey
Like the world aint never known
Cause Im asking king bee, wont you be my queen
Now Im a king bee rider, wont you be my queen
Because you know we can make some sweet little honey
Like the world aint never seen
Drive your car up in my driveway
Cut your bright lights way down low
Drive your car up in my driveway, mama
Cut your bright lights way down low
Im gonna wind up your transmission
Till your motor wont run no more

Jiving Around Other Hives

If bees perceived themselves,
To be the honey brought inside the hive...
Instead of playing a part,
Of making that sweet taste come alive.
The realness of the honey,
Would not exist.
And no one would experience the taste of it.
No one would crave the sensation to be kissed.
And all that is that is taken for granted,
From our minds would be dismissed.

So you aint the honey.
You just the bee.
Together we make the honey.
And you may believe,
You can have your honey without me.
But I will tell you right now,
Wherever you go...
Thinking you're all that,
You will realize all you attract alone are flies.
Buzzing artificially jiving around other hives.
Believing I wait for you to come back from that trap.

And that honey you made with me...
Is a taste I guarantee you will miss.
But slipping back to unpack your crap...
With me,
Aint gon happen'.
To me...
You've become just another,
Wannabe fly by!

King Bee

Well, I'm a King Bee
Buzzing around your hive
Yes, I'm a King Bee, child
Buzzing around your hive
I can make good honey
Let me come inside
I'm young and able
To buzz all night long
You know I'm young and able
To buzz all night long
When you hear me buzz, little girl
You know some stinging's going on
(Well, buzz some) I'll sting (yeah)
Well, I'm a King Bee
Can buzz all night long
Yes I'm a King Bee
Can buzz all night long
Well, I buzz better baby,
When your man is gone.

A teaspoonful of honey makes...(a viveku)

A bee, it’s said, in its whole working life
brings to the hive a vast
treasure of obedience:
a teaspoon-full of honey.

The scholar, spooning honey from the jar
into his tea-cup,

pauses.

Just for joy, take from my palms

Just for joy, take from my palms
A little sun, a little honey,
As Persephone's bees commanded.

An unfastened boat cannot be untied.
A shade shod in fur cannot be heard.
In the dense forest of life fear cannot be overcome.

Only kisses are left for us.
Furry, like small bees
That die when they leave the hive.

They rustle in transparent thickets of night,
Their home is the dense Taiga woods;
Their food -- time, honeysuckle, mint.

So take and enjoy my passionate gift,
A dry, unsightly necklace
Of dead bees, who changed honey into sun.
