Rest assured that my support for any eventual reform package will be based firmly upon what is in the best interests of the people of Upstate New York, not any party or president.

When you stop and look at so much of the kind of activism that has been triggered, the Tea Party and the like, as a result of Obama's efforts - TARP, the stimulus package, and now the health care reform - there is a lot of sense this government is changing.

Look, of course people are scared of entitlement reform because every time you put entitlement reform out there, the other party uses it as a political weapon against you.
The interests of the United States are better served by demanding reform and seeing that reform takes place than by removing our influence from the UN.

New York Times
New york poor new york
New york poor new york
Cars choking your child to death
But you dont wanna see
Cause you only think about yourself
How blind can you be
New york poor new york
Sniper on the rooftop new york
New york poor new york
Not fit for a dog in new york
Everybody bites on the big apple
Leave the hungry in tears
But no one gives a damn no one really cares
How they feel theyre just paper people not real
You need a gun to walk into new york
Now youre broke and youre out on a ledge
Who can help you this time
Now youre down to your very last cent
Still youre askin me who was your friend
I was your friend
New york poor new york
Who turned the lights out in new york
New york poor new york
Just another blackout in new york
Girl dead on the 26th floor
But no one knew her name
Found her body behind the door
Too young for the game
New york poor new york
Devils in the subway new york
New york poor new york
New york poor new york
Talkin talkin talkin - watch out
Harlem touching midtown new york
New york poor new york
Talkin bout new york new york
Moneys getting tighter new york
Theyre burning the bridges to new york

Our People are Suffering Mercilessly and Dying Unnecessarily
Our people are suffering mercilessly
Every second of the day and dying sporadically
In Haiti, our people are dying unnecessarily under unstable tents
Our people are in dire need of our (your and my) Help and support
We must stop the sufferings at the door step of their port
We cannot survive without each other; let’s use our common sense
We have become too relaxed, too complacent,
Too easily satisfied; we are almost nonexistent
We know how to make better tea than any other party
Let’s start drinking good tea again
So we can be more energized and defiant facing the almighty sea
Let’s start to move again for our people in pain
Let’s defeat: ignorance, incompetence and nonchalance
We need to help and support them 101 percent
We have been sleeping and snoring
We need to wake-up; we need to shake-up our bottom
Because right now our bottom line is experiencing a phantom pain
Our people are desperate and almost insane
Under the cluttered tarps and the feeble tents, they are suffering
Believe it or not, we are their oxygen and their hope
Let’s unite, let’s help them, and let’s vote
For leaders who fight for us and our interests
Wake-up brothers, sisters and friends, open your eyes,
Wake-up, open your brain, wake-up because the pies
Are almost on your face, we must not rest
Until we reach our common goals and destination together
We need to love each other more
We need to take care of each other more
We need to help each other more
We need to fight for each other more
Haiti needs all of you
Thank you.

As the Caretakers of 'Your' Interests
Ladies and gentlemen...
It has come to our attention,
Many of you are homeless and starving.
And those of you who are not...
Are close to those experiences.
However...
We wish to inform you,
As the caretakers of 'your' interests...
And well being,
We...
Those you have elected to keep you,
From hitting rock bottom and hitting brick walls...
Are doing our utmost best to impress you,
With the acknowledgement...
That our concerns are 'your' concerns.
And...
Rest assured,
We are 'not' just maintaining those impressions!
But,
We are also...
Spending sleepless hours,
Ensuring our imitation of leaders...
Best represent your expectations!
So until further notice...
Please allow our performances to continue,
With your endorsements.
That alone,
Will help us succeed in keeping your beliefs alive.
Keep in mind...
None of this would exist without your support.

Why Waste Time On Those Kinds Of Minds?
I am blessed with a package,
That doesn't appear to have depth.
Some believe my energies are on the surface,
Too complexed.
I have a multitude of interests...
And to each I give the best time I can get.
With the same emphasis I use to share...
Amongst the number of friends I 'had'.
But I am glad I have real ones left!
Be patient.
There's a point I'm making.
But I do have a pet peeve that irritates me.
Because where I live...
Some people believe this opens the door to disrespect.
And...
I've always love my people,
And the realness of the community.
And there are those who actually accept,
Their delusions of sitting on pedestals...
And being better than me.
They have no idea the résumé I keep...discreet!
I don't have to ego trip or embellish!
I don't have a pretentious bone in my body.
But you know what?
I know just what to say to folks...
Who 'think' they can sit on a higher horse,
Than I can!
But never will I turn my nose up!
Why waste time on those kinds of minds?
I rather strut and them get up a public bus.
