When they come downstairs from their Ivory Towers, idealists are very apt to walk straight into the gutter.

Ivory

You were born with a face that would let you get your way
Yeah you had everything you wanted child, that is until the day
you know you're much too fine and free, Ivory
You've been dressed in a vest, every minute of your day
You walk into a room, stand in a lit shade
Is your timer too high for me, Ivory
Ivory
How does it feel to be so high
Ivory
How long how long will it take for you to cry
Ivory
I'm in need
Ivory
Ivory
I'll touch your soul, might even touch your brain
I know you can't see me
I know your blind
Come back come back and see
Ivory
So good to me
Ivory

Once Upon A Poem

In the Mad-Poetic world,
Of a lonely Ivory Tower,
Was a Poet never heard,
For it never was his hour.

He had gone and warned the World,
Of impending, danger, power,
But the people kept on dancing,
Just like fools, around his tower.

Poets, Idealists and Lovers,
This old World has never changed,
Poets, stay in Ivory Tower
And pretend you are deranged.

Let It Be

Everything in my heart is for you,
Everything in my soul is for you,
Everything that i am is for you;
Let it be in the name of love and,
Just walk straight to me.
My sweet lady,
This true love is for you to share with;
It is coming straight from my heart.
I was made for you and you are mine,
Walk straight to my heart my sweet one;
And love me all day long to fulfil this dream.

Where will you be without love?
Where will you be without me?
Just walk straight to my heart.
You are the love of my eyes,
You are the tree of my hope,
Walk straight to me and let it be;
My sweet and beautiful lady,
Walk straight to me and let it be.
True love has no boundaries,
Just walk straight to me and let it be;
Everything that i am is for you my sweet one.

Even on a personal note, my dressing table downstairs is crowded with things, like a mini landscape. It's a city with buildings and towers and roads. There's a pool and a little park. When I move something around it becomes a different tableau.

Girl Afraid

Girl afraid
Where do his intentions lay ?
Or does he even have any ?
She says :
He never really looks at me
I give him every opportunity
In the room downstairs
He sat and stared
In the room downstairs
He sat and stared
Ill never make that mistake again !
Ill never make that mistake again
Ill never make that mistake again
Boy afraid
Prudence never pays
And everything she wants costs money
But she doesnt even like me !
And I know because she said so
In the room downstairs
She sat and stared
In the room downstairs
She sat and stared
Ill never make that mistake again !

Towers of Ivory

Subdued by the paregoric dream-land,
Your sleepy eyes stare into the nowhere
Flashing on the screen by buttoned demand
And cosmic transmission's continued care.
They'll feed you full of the barbiturates—
Hypnotic images made inculcate—
Just to keep you still and inscouciant…
Perhaps collectiv'ly agglutinant.
God bless them and their commercial glory—
Clearing the streets of all the miscreants—
So they could build towers of ivory.

Someday, you'll be packaged and maybe canned
In the aluminum chamber's stale air,
Controlled by the factory's firm command—
Which compresses you to the market square.
There, in process, you may capitulate,
Your core contained as pulp concentrate.
Saw the top off, keep yourself compliant
When you lose you lid, scalping salient.
You are a piece of the inventory,
A stock sold en masse, completely constant,
So they could build towers of ivory.

Logorrhea stimulates the sweat gland,
Dripping glistens of advertised affairs.
The meaning's lost words—dilute, disband
Against doped up, stuttering speaking flares.
The desultory shotgun actuates,
Bullets flying as if to artuate
You, so staggered, totally reliant
In proxy wars that seem irrelevant
To the greater portions of history.
Agitated verbs buzz ev'ry instant,
So they could build towers of ivory.

White washed, white washed—empty color, so bland—
Swallowing shadows in their twilit snare,
An inoffensively scurrilous brand
Stretching across the encompassing bare.
Nothingness lays; appears ablaqueate
In false promise's place to congregate:
A temple of the blank, exsciccant
And peeling thoughts, scratching exfoliant.
From the belly of this purgatory,
They paint by numbers—brushes incessant—
So they could build towers of ivory.

In susurration, viral-like expand,
The pandemic whisper plots, prodding there,
Molting molted pelts of ungrateful hands
Holding the last caress, happy despair.
The ersatz self want things to replicate—
The cutting cloth patchwork that fabricates.
We are born like fetuses, like infants,
From non-symmetric, inequidistant
Sun burst blood streams of the hunky dory.
Our heavy heads are asemic pregnant,
So they could build towers of ivory.

With the confluence of thoughts that I state,
I say nothing only to simulate
The nature of things that seem suppressant,
The endless barrage of stimulants.
They want me to tell you stupid stories,
So I prefer to remain defiant,
So they could build towers of ivory.

Without a doubt, this is my most difficult poem.

The Red Ant And The Dead Leaf...

all i did was to protect
rights, i tackled the corresponding obligations.
I am a model citizen.
I teach laws.

a group of giants laugh at me
there is no trampling still, i wait.
their feet are heavy and one foot
one stamp is enough
to wipe me out. I am an ant.
I have not anthill to live.

it never saddens me
and i got enthralled by one of you.
ready to offer
everything i have.

i know how to climb trees
i challenge on of those ivory gods.
the tree gods wait and become curious.
what is this red ant up to?

i will have a good ride on a dry leaf
feel the fallen state
and write about it.

i could be human only if you want to.
she says, don't... we hate humans.
we are ivory towers and we do not feel.

i will be a red ant. The dry leaf is dead.

When Time Stood Still

Far beyond the things you see
Time rolls on eternally
Got a thing about it
Just cant live without it
Sitting there inside your mind
Just waiting for the clock to chime
On a lonely line
Stood a lonely man
No pictures on an empty wall
No body there no one at all
Just echoes in the ivory halls
When time stood still
Days line up outside the door
Thought time had stopped there was no more
Been a lonely world
Such a lonely world
No pictures on an empty wall
No toulouse, vincent, or pablo
Just echoes in the ivory halls
When time stood still
No big machine or april showers
No submarines no plastic flowers
Just echoes in the ivory towers
When time stood still
When time stood still
When time stood still
When time stood still

Loving That Taste For The Gutter

If they always call those they visit trash,
And on a daily basis they are around them.
What do they regard themselves?
Trash collectors?
Or recycled garbage...
Loving that taste for the gutter.

They can't leave it,
'Cause they come right back.
No matter what they call it they want it like that!
Because they love that taste for the gutter.
They love that taste for the gutter.

Whenever its suspected someone else will attack,
They will defend their trash with a coming back.
Because they love that taste for the gutter.
Yes they love that taste for the gutter.

They can't leave it,
'Cause they come right back.
No matter what they call it they want it like that!
Because they love that taste for the gutter.
They love that taste for the gutter.

If they always call those they visit trash,
And on a daily basis they are around them.
What do they regard themselves?
Trash collectors?
Garbage defenders?

Whenever its suspected someone else will attack,
They will defend their trash with a coming back.
Because they love that taste for the gutter.
Yes they love that taste for the gutter.

Garbage defenders,
Loving that taste for the gutter.
Trash collectors,
Loving that taste for the gutter.
But wont admit or quit,
Loving that taste for the gutter.

They can't leave it,
'Cause they come right back.
Because they love that taste for the gutter.
Garbage defenders,
Loving that taste for the gutter.
Trash collectors,
Loving that taste for the gutter.
But wont admit or quit,
Loving that taste for the gutter.

But wont quit,
That taste for the gutter.
Or admit...
A loving for the gutter.

And wont quit,
That taste for the gutter.
Or admit...
A loving for the gutter.

No they wont admit it,
A loving for the gutter.
Or...
Quit,
A taste they have for the gutter.

No they wont admit it,
A loving for the gutter.
Or...
Quit,
A taste they have for the gutter.
Or...
Quit,
A taste they have for the gutter.
No they wont admit it,
A loving for the gutter.
Or...
Quit,
A taste they have for the gutter.
Or...
Quit,
A taste they have for the gutter.
No they wont admit it!

Chelsea Walk

I went down to Chelsea Walk
Where the sun doesn't shine at all
And I went looking for something for me
But I came back with nothing at all
Except an old man who could not see
But he said that he knew God
Chelsea Walk
Oh... Chelsea Walk
Oh... Chelsea Walk

Now I've been down to Chelsea Walk
Where the sun just refuses to shine
And I ran back to my little room
And I jumped straight into a bottle of wine
You know I'll be alright for just a day
But tomorrow I must wake
Chelsea Walk
Oh... Chelsea Walk
Oh... Chelsea Walk

Old man I must be on my way
Don't you worry I'm just scared for those who pray
In Chelsea Walk
Oh... Chelsea Walk
Oh... Chelsea Walk

Chelsea Walk...

The Allegories Of That Early Morning

one can
after a
time see
the dichotomy
of the body
& mind

the mind
has its own
territory
it grows its
own garden
plants its
own towers
of ivory

the body
constructs
its rivers
destroys the
fences
and demolishes
walls

in the mirror
you see a
face
and you are
carried
with so much
sympathy

the carriage
with a black horse
begins
to take the body

the mind is the
white horse
galloping in
a different
direction

the peace of your
world
depends on the
power of your hands
to whip and
caress

meanwhile the flowers
in your garden
bloom and wilt
the tower of ivory
begins to
shoot its light
against that
vast dark landscape

Castles In The Cloud

castles in the cloud
ivory towers and
the fearful cloth of
the black robe

crowns and names

badges and lines
power numbers
and marks of
high society,

you know me
i smash them all.

Standing tall

it is not how
many legs
you have
but how tall
you walk

i know why
all the prophets
carried a stick

it is to show followers
how to walk tall

i know why the
chinese write
from left to right
and upright

it's because
they aim to
walk tall
as confucius
steadfast as
his tenets

i know why
buddha sat
upright all
this while

it is to help
souls gain
nirvana
with one
straight
philosophy

a philosophy
that connects
heaven straight
with earth
