US may ‘microwave’ Afghan targets
Published on 06-19-2010
Source: Press TV
The US military may be testing a controversial weapon that focuses microwave energy with a so-called “goodbye effect” on targets in Afghanistan, a report says.
The new system, called the “Active Denial System, ” is designed to shoot an invisible beam of high-energy waves at people, creating an intense burning sensation, AOL News initially reported on June 17.
According to some sources, the new system is still undergoing tests at military laboratories.
The focused waves quickly become intolerable and burn the skin layers, forcing the targets to disperse.

The new “nonlethal” weapon has been in Afghanistan for testing but has not been used in military operations, the report quoted an unnamed US Air Force officer as saying.
In 2008, the Pentagon considered deploying the Active Denial System in Iraq, but the effort was thwarted over policy concerns.
The US Department of Defense first admitted to the weapon’s existence in 2001 without disclosing further information about the device.

Unfortunately in the gay community, oftentimes people that get the most attention are the most flamboyant and loud. And that's not to dismiss them, because drag queens and, you know, leather motorcycle women, they have their place in the gay community as well. But they're not - they don't define the gay community by any stretch of the imagination.

School-Community
School is a community which surrounds you most
A place where teachers seem somewhat like ghosts
Believing that it’s a chance for new friends
But the community also introduces new ends
You believe that you yourself can never be true
To reside into acting into someone that isn't you
The school community soon becoming fake
Inside, many people's hearts begin to ache
We believe in not showing our true selves
The community telling to dig deep in ourselves
Slowly we start believing that freedom is forbidden
But does school truly want ourselves to remain hidden?
Friendships can lead to you being cut down
We sometimes wish this community wasn't around
But then we realise not to defy the real world
And that the real truth is being unfurled
This community teaches us to stand on our own feet
And without this test we shall still remain incomplete
The teachings is something that no one seems to share
In the real world these are teachings we'll need out there
School is a place where there are things we must learn
Otherwise the community outside will cause us to return
The community outside is the place we are yearning
But this community is the place we are still learning…

Pushing Me Away
I've lied to you
The same way that I always do
This is the last smile
That I'll fake for the sake of being with you
(Everything falls apart/Even the people who never frown/Eventually break down)
The sacrifice of hiding in a lie
(Everything has to end/You'll soon find we're out of time/To watch it all unwind)
The sacrifice is never knowing
Why I never walked away
Why I played myself this way
Now I see your testing me pushes me away
Why I never walked away
Why I played myself this way
Now I see your testing me pushes me away
I've tried like you
To do everything you wanted too
This is the last time
I'll take the blame for the sake of being with you
(Everything falls apart/Even the people who never frown/Eventually break down)
The sacrifice of hiding in a lie
(Everything has to end/You'll soon find we're out of time/To watch it all unwind)
The sacrifice is never knowing
Why I never walked away
Why I played myself this way
Now I see your testing me pushes me away
Why I never walked away
Why I played myself this way
Now I see your testing me pushes me away
The sacrifice of hiding in a lie
The sacrifice is never knowing
Why I never walked away
Why I played myself this way
Now I see your testing me pushes me away
Why I never walked away
Why I played myself this way
Now I see your testing me pushes me away
Pushes me away

God Tests The Faith Of A Friend
My friend smsed
“Hey Terry,
ya still kicking?
I know He is testing me,
but not sure how much
more testing I can take?
Just need a break
but no break coming
my way anytime soon.”
My friend has not learned
money does not provide
lasting security or peace.
My friend has not learned
appeasing a materialistic
wife a materialistic lifestyle
is not a foundation upon
which to build a secure
lasting relationship with God.
My friend may never learn
these two simple lessons.
Therein lies source
of tragedy suffering
pursuit of security riches
is not faith heartfelt pursuit
of either God or God’s Kingdom.

Dialogue
when dialogue becomes a way of living,
the lamp is always lit.
the door is always unlocked,
the window is always open.
the river flows from,
and returns to the source.
when identity becomes community,
the part is whole, the whole a part.
there is infinity in nothing,
when emptiness fills the soul....
what we call god is merely the fire,
deep within our darkest being...
poured forth as gift, taking simple forms,
a cup of coffee shared,
and the moment given to listening!
